Ch. 33 Love Your Enemy
Jennifer didn't have enough oxygen to circulate in her body to give her the strength she needed to fight off Mrs. Mary.
Just before the last squeeze, the door finally flew open causing Mrs. Mary to jump and briefly let go of Jennifer.
When the others saw what was happening, they were all infuriated.
Both girls screamed, "Jennifer!"
"Get away from her you wicked witch!" Joshua yelled furiously. He was so furious to see Jennifer almost dead. No one was going to kill his dear friend and maybe even future girlfriend. He rushed over to Mrs. Mary and pushed her off Jennifer, making Jennifer fall to the ground.
When Jennifer fell, she inhaled deeply to bring in as much oxygen as possible back into her body while still coughing a little and grabbing her neck.
By Joshua being so angry, he pushed Mrs. Mary as hard as he could, knocking her into the panel, which broke causing electricity to fizz out zapping her.
Everyone watched in shock and horror while Mrs. Mary shook violently as she was electrocuted by the electrical panel.
"Oh no!" said Joshua realizing what he's done.
"Mrs. Mary!" cried Laura feeling bad for her.
"She's…." Anne couldn't finish.
Jennifer didn't even say anything.
It was such an awkward thing to witness. They hated Mrs. Mary but seemed to care for her too. It brought them mixed feelings about her.
Mrs. Mary shook violently and screamed in such agony, no one knew what to do.
Tears ran down all their faces. They were just as stunned as her.
When Mrs. Mary finally died from the electrocution, her body slowly sunk to the ground.
After that, awkward silence still prevailed. The gang looked around at each other not knowing what to do or say. Should they get a closer look at her?
Was Mrs. Mary really dead? Would her Satanic powers bring her back to life? Would her Satanic powers bring her sons back from the dead? Now that Mrs. Mary and her sons are gone, will the curse be gone too? What's going to happen now?
What should the gang do? They felt so confused on what to do! Things didn't seem any different or seem to get any better now that the threats were gone.
Finally, Jennifer had the guts to break the silence. "Umm….Josh?"
He looked at Jennifer. "Jenny!...I…..I just…..killed…Mrs. Mary! I don't know what to do now! I feel terrible Jenny!" Tears streamed down his eyes.
Jennifer had never seen Joshua cry like that. It was quite touching to see him like that. "We all feel terrible right now Josh!"
"What are we going to do Jennifer?" Anne looked scared for her life.
"I…I don't know. She just tried to kill me and now…..she's dead!" Jennifer stared at the corpse.
"We're all going to die!" cried Laura.
"No! No! Laura! We're not going to die!" said Jennifer.
"Well what else are we going to do? Are we going to just leave her there?" asked Anne getting frustrated.
Jennifer sighed and said, "I don't know Anne! I really don't! We live in the middle of nowhere in this giant mansion! And we can't even call the cops because the phone lines are cut! But even if the phones did work, what would we say to the cops anyways?"
"Hmm, that's a good point! Man, this is really messed up! We've been put in this situation and now we can't even get out of it! I think I need some fresh air!" Joshua looked at the door.
"I do too!" agreed Laura.
Thinking about what happened last time, Jennifer decided to go with the gang in case something else came up. "Alright! We'll all go out together this time!"
