Hey guys, welcome back to another chapter of AAU. I hope you're all enjoying yourselves because I was really excited to finish this story. Shout out to all who've been with me from the start and thanks to all those that joined. Anyways… oh, from this point Kenji will be referred to as Kencho so I hope you won't get confused.
Chapter 39: New year, New troubles
Kencho sighed as he looked at himself in the mirror. His hair was now dyed to the colour of the other Saikous and was styled into a combover. He wore matching contact lenses. That was what Uzu and the rest said would be better for him. It wasn't something he was too keen on but hey, if Shiori liked it, so would he.
He exhaled before walking out of his bedroom. He held his head high as he walked to the elevator. He was going to surprise his family at breakfast time with his new personality.
He stepped into the machine and waited for it to go down which it did in its usual smooth manner.
The doors opened revealing his family eating at the table. He walked out of the elevator as Genka was the first to speak, "Mo…orning, Kenji," she greeted but was surprised by his new hair and eye colour, "what's going on?"
Everyone else at the table choked on their food when they saw him, "Morning guys, I bet you like my new do."
"Nice hair…" Kiyoteru said in a low tone which then switched when Genka nudged him, "what's going on, Kenji?"
"Watch it, Kiyo. Be careful who you're taking to," Kencho started, "from now on, refer to me as Kencho, Kencho Saikou," he said while sitting.
"Hm, funny, I have a nephew with the exact same name," the businessman mumbled in amusement.
"Okay Kenji, what's really going on?" Genka asked with concern, "yesterday you called your father a nerd yet here you are taking his name and the family look."
"Family look?" all the silverrettes asked in unison.
"Please, I don't care about him. I just decided to get a new look. You know I'm at a boujee school and I'm rich now so I gotta look the part to be the part," he responded before he started to eat.
"Oh my goodness…" Genka groaned before looking at her husband who looked at the child contemplatively. One could wonder what he was thinking, "Snugbug, are you alright? You didn't even react to him not bowing."
Her husband chuckled before looking at his wife, "you know, I've just realised that getting angry in the morning is bad for me and the company. I mean, yesterday I barked at all my employees out of frustration. My second in command had to smack some sense into me—literally," he responded in a soft tone before smiling, "plus, this is entertaining to watch so I'll let him do what he wants for the company's sake."
"Oh boy," she sighed before looking at her son. She was wondering what to tell him but snapped back into reality when Megami spoke.
"Uh Kenji?"
"It's Kencho, Kencho Saikou," he defended.
"Right… Kencho, Kencho Saikou, my bad," she apologized but had an amused look on her face. She then shared a quick glance with her older brother before looking back at her younger one, "So you want to look the part at your rich school, right?"
"Yeah, that's about right."
"So… have you made any rich friends?" she asked with her chin resting on her gloved knuckles.
"Yeah, they're the ones that picked my look. I mean, I think I may be hitting it off with a hot girl too," he said trying to be cool. Causing the president to burst into a fit of laughter, "what's so funny? She's real and her name's Shiori," he defended.
Megamo was the next to speak up, "Wait, wait, wait," he started while trying to compose himself, "is she blonde, really pretty and has like tonnes of followers on Instagram?"
"Y-Yeah, you got a problem with that?" Kencho asked wondering where he was going and was shocked when the two silverrettes burst into laughter.
"Ok, ok," Megami regained her breath while standing up with Osoro looking as confused as Kencho and Genka, "I'm sorry for all the noise, I've gotta go to school early so yeah, bye," she said before leaving the room.
"Heh, I'll be in the living room," Kiyoteru sighed before walking out of the room.
"You guys are weird. What's so funny?" he asked no one in particular, "ugh, I'm out." With that, he stormed out of the room.
"Ok, I'm lost," Genka started, "what's so funny, Megamo?"
"Yep, I would like to know too," Osoro asked while leaning back into the chair.
"Ok, um…" Megamo started, "you see, what Kenji's going through is called the AJH Gold Rush."
"What's that?" Osoro asked before looking at her wrist watch.
"Akademi Junior High is famous for its high levels of peer pressure," the ex-president explained, "when a new kid shows up at that school, different cliques will follow that kid to get them to join them," he added, "Kenji was followed by a clique that's quite picky so he was probably picked due to his social standing. Also, he's being manipulated."
"What about this Shiori girl?" Genka asked showing concern for the girl her son was interested in.
"Uh… well look at the time," he started while standing up, "I've gotta go, my lecture is in an hour so… bye!" he said before rushing out of the room.
"Well now I'm worried," Genka said to herself before looking at Osoro who shrugged, "hey, aren't you late for school?"
"I don't want to go to school honestly," Osoro groaned.
"You realize I'm in charge of discipline at Akademi and I don't take too kindly to truancy," Genka responded with an authoritative tone, "I will tolerate no excuses."
"Ugh, fine," she said before getting up, "have a good day, mom."
"You too, sweetie," she responded as the blonde left the room. She then sighed and leaned back into the seat, "thank God I took the day off."
"Excuse me, Madam, the maids need to clean the room," Drew said with a few women in fancy maid outfits standing behind him.
"Oh, okay," she said while standing, "I'll be taking my leave then," she said before walking into the living room where she found her husband scrolling through his phone. She smiled before walking up to him and taking a seat on his lap, "hi Snugbug."
"Hello, dear," he said as the shared a kiss.
"You said you were having a day off and I hope you'll be true to your word," she said while prodding her index finger on his chest.
"Yes honey, I'm not even dressed for work," he responded as he wasn't in a suit, but a Navy blue golf shirt and khaki pants over a pair of black sneakers. His hair was slicked back as usual.
Genka was simply dressed in a pink sun dress and white sandals. She kept her signature hairstyle., "so, where are we going today?"
"I was thinking of going to a resort a friend of mine owns for some rest and relaxation. Then we can go to a carnival in town," the businessman explained before whispering in her ears, "Maybe we can have some fun when we get home…"
"You, naughty boy," Genka said as she blushed, "that sounds like a great idea," she said before leaning in for another kiss.
Ding Dong! The door went as it ruined the moment for the newlywed couple.
"Let me get it," Kiyoteru said while lifting Genka off of him. He rose to his feet and walked towards the door with his spouse right behind him.
"Goodmor…ning," Kiyoteru said when he opened the door to find Yukiteru and Jin with the latter holding a bag, "Yuki, what's the matter?"
"Good morning to you too, younger brother," Yukiteru greeted in an all too cheery tone, "good morning dear sister in law."
"Good morning, Yukiteru," she responded but raised her eyebrow when he winked at her.
"Ah yes of course. You're wondering why I'm here," Yukiteru said before looking at his son who looked away, "Brother, I have tried by all means to raise this boy to the best he can be but it seems I'm not doing enough as a father."
"Where is this going, Yuki?" Kiyoteru asked while crossing his arms.
"Listen, your kids have turned out pretty well and I believe it's because of your capable parenting. Therefore, I request that you look after Jin for some time and possibly train him to be well… not the way he is," he explained causing the couple to glance at each other. He could sense the doubt so he decided to humble himself, "p-please, it would mean so much to me and his mother."
"What do you think, Kiyo?" Genka asked while wrapping her hand around his arm.
He was being asked to look after that mess. Even after all the trouble he caused when he got drunk at the wedding. It was a tough decision to make but he was his nephew after all plus, Yuki even said please so he was going to take it, "O-Ok I'll take him in."
"Thank you so much, brother," the elder Saikou said before turning to his son, "you best behave, alright." Yukiteru the faced his brother with a smile with a smile, "you have helped me out so much. Have a good day." With that, the man walked off leaving Jin and the couple at the front door.
"Come in, Jin."
The younger Saikou walked into the room and stood in front of the couple, "thanks for letting me stay with you, sir and ma'am."
"Oh it's no problem, Jin," Kiyoteru started before motioning one of the maids to come over, "please call me uncle and this is your aunt."
"Oh okay, thank you very much uncle Kiyoteru," he repeated in a respectful tone while bowing.
"Fiona will show you to your room," he said while the maid waved and took his bag.
"Have a nice day," he smiled as he was led away.
"I never knew he could be such a sweet boy," Genka said while rubbing his arm.
"Hmm, Yuki was too excited to drop him off," the businessman started before sighing, "he must've done something to get kicked out of the house," he added before turning to his wife, "Oh well, how about we get going?"
"Don't you think you're being a bit too critical. He could just be asking for help with his son," she responded to his earlier statement but then decided to brush it off, "Okay then, I shall get the bags ready."
"No need," her husband responded, "I packed our stuff while you were asleep."
"Aw, you're so sweet, Snugbug," she said before his phone rang.
"Hello," he answered, "I hope things are running smoothly.
Genka looked at him as he was in the call. She suddenly got the feeling that plans were about to change.
"Don't fool around with me Matoi. What's happening?" he asked with a bit of irritation before the person on the other end gave and explanation. He then gave his wife a sorry look, "If that's the case then…" he then saw her disappointed face which sent a wave of guilt through him. He had promised his wife a day for the two of them yet work called him saying they needed him. It was a tough decision to make but at this point, his wife came first.
"I won't make it," he started as he noticed her face lift, "I have a busy schedule today. Inform Mrs. Kamenaga about it. Okay, good day."
"You'll be free today?" Genka with a smile.
"Like I promised."
"I love you dear," she said before planting a kiss on his lips, "now let's go have some fun."
"Dude, Kenji, what did you do to your hair?" Endou asked as she examined Kencho's new appearance. It was lunch time so they sat together like the previous day.
"Uzu and the others said I would fit in around here if I did this," Kencho explained, "Plus, my new name is Kencho Saikou now. So play it cool."
Endou then sighed, "Kencho," she said uncomfortably, "Uzu and his crew aren't a group to be found with. You'll get into some bad stuff if you hang with them."
"Please," the boy responded, "they seem just fine. I bet you're just jealous because Shiori has a thing for me."
"Dude, I'm not gay," the girl defended before continuing, "plus, Shiori's everyone's slut. She's shared property within that group."
"Tsk, tsk, tsk Endou, chill," Kencho smirked, "I'm a Saikou and nobody can resist a Saikou."
"Kencho, I've been a Saikou way longer than you and trust me, people can't resist you because of the power your name has around here," Endou explained, "Those guys don't care about you. They just want to use you. They're going to ruin you."
"Hah, if they're so interested in the name alone, why don't you have any friends?" he jabbed while looking her in the eyes. He could tell she was offended.
"Probably because I try to avoid jerks like you," she spat before getting up, "have fun with your friends, Kencho." She then stormed off.
"She was just jealous of me," he said before rising from his seat to find Uzu. He then spotted a group of boys surrounding said boy.
He made his way over to the group and could heard him explaining something.
"Guys, I'm telling you. She's my girlfriend. We talk every night," Uzu explained, "heck, yesterday she sent me a nude." His addition caused all the boys to murmur while Ginji and Houka supported him.
"It's true," Ginji started, "she's got a nice body."
"Okay, if that's true then let us see the picture," one of the boys challenged.
"Hey man what's going on?" Kencho asked before Uzu threw his arm over his shoulder.
"Oh yeah in fact, let's ask Kencho," Uzu said before winking at him, "dude, isn't your sister my girlfriend?"
"Whoa, which one?" Kencho asked in surprise.
"Dude, Megami… heh, heh," he said while looking at him again, "how could you forget?"
"Oh…" he started realizing who he meant but a wave of fear flowed through him at the thought of the only person who didn't take his attitude, "Oh yeah. I mean she's all over you."
"Then let us see the picture," the boy persisted.
"Oh ok. Check it, my phone's low but I promise to send you the picture tonight, alright?" he said before the boys all grunted.
"Okay, we'll give you till 12 AM to send the nude," the boy said before walking off with the other boys.
"Damn, that was a close one," Uzu sighed before sitting on a bench.
"Hey boys," Shiori greeted while walking towards the group and took a seat on Uzu's lap before proceeding to make out with him.
Kencho watched in confusion as the two made out. At least he got why they both had rings. They must have been in a relationship. Maybe, Endou was right, but why did she get so close to him yesterday?
"Dude, Kencho, you're staring," Ginji pointed out, "you want some too, right?" he smirked.
"Uh… wait no," Kencho tried to explain.
Uzu and Shiori broke out of their session, "Dude, Kencho wants some Shiori too."
"Oh alright then," he responded before looking at Shiori who nodded and got off of his lap and walked up to Kencho.
"Hey…" she said while tugging on his tie.
"Uh, H-Hey," was all he could say before the blonde pulled him in for a kiss which before leading him into a make out session that lasted for about five minutes.
The two then separated, "wow…"
"Yeah, that's what you get when you chill with us," Uzu said before getting up, "alright guys, let's bounce," he said as the rest of the group got up.
"Where are we going," Kencho asked as the group started to make their way towards the gates.
"Duh," Ginji started while throwing his arm over Kencho's shoulder, "we're skipping school man."
"Wait, what?" he asked as he stopped moving. He knew he would get in trouble for skipping school.
"Dude, what's up?" Uzu asked while looking behind, "you scared or something?"
He was ditching school on his second day. He felt a strong sense of guilt overflowing through his body. However, the stares the group was giving him made him feel like a coward, a chump, a loser, "No, I'm cool," he started. Well it couldn't be that bad. It's not like he cared what his mom would think. He didn't even want to consider what the nerd she married would think, "I was just remembering something. let's dip."
"Alright…" Ginji responded as they started walking again.
"Hey, where are you going!" an authoritative female voice called from behind them causing them to stop and turn until they saw a black haired girl in a different uniform consisting of a navy blue blazer over a white shirt with a red ribbon and a matching skirt. On her arm was a red armband.
"I got this," Uzu said before walking towards the girl.
"Who's she?" Kencho asked as they watched them talk.
Houka, for the first time, spoke up, "that's Ikaruga, Sasayama; the student council president and also… Uzu's ex-girlfriend."
Kencho took in the explanation and noticed that the president had been avoiding the black haired boy's eyes. He seemed to be telling her something deep judging by the smirk he had on his face and the blush she had.
"Ikaruga used to hang out with us but decided to leave the group saying we weren't the best people to be around," Houka continued, "unfortunately for her, like Shiori, she has a lot that can be used to blackmail her."
"What the hell are you trying to say?" Shiori said as she forced Houka to face him.
"She was almost as useless as you are now," he said calmly. Earning him a slap on the cheek.
"Idiot," Shiori spat before resting her hand on her hip, "Uzu, what's the hold up?"
"Just a moment, babe," he responded before patting Ikaruga's head, leaving her a blushing mess as he walked back to the group.
"Let's go."
The group found their way to a carnival where so many people were hanging out. Mostly adults because children were at school at this hour, "This is where we were sneaking to?" Ginji asked unimpressed by where they were.
"Guys, guys, guys this place is clutch," Uzu defended, "my cousin snuck out of school to come here a couple years ago and came home hammered. he said this place was awesome. So I decided to bring you guys here for some fun."
"It's not bad actually," Kencho said while admiring the place.
"Well guys, Shiori and I are going somewhere a little private," Uzu said while resting his hand on the blonde's butt, "you guys find something to do."
"Alright man," Ginji said as the groups started to separate.
"Alright boys, let's go," Ginji said before taking the lead. With Houka and Kencho following behind.
Kencho absentmindedly looked around as they walked. There were so many people moving up and about looking excited and pleased by their experience. Maybe it was good after all.
They stopped to line up at a roller coaster with a short line.
"Thor's Hammer, the mighty coaster," Ginji said as he read the sign, "this is going to be awesome."
"I suppose," Houka responded while looking at it uninterestedly.
"Hey, aren't you guys supposed to be in school or something?" the man in charge of the ride asked as he observed the boys in uniform.
"Uh…" Ginji started while rubbing the back of his head. Houka was the one that acted fast when he walked up to the man.
"Our school brought our class for a trip here," Houka said calmly.
"The boss didn't say anything about a school coming."
"Of course, you're the only one that knows about this," he responded while giving the man a stack of money.
Kencho's eyes were still wandering around the place. It sure beat school to be at a carnival. However, his heart nearly stopped when he caught sight of his mother and Kiyoteru walking together holding hands, "oh my gosh!"
"Dude, we're about to go in, come on," Ginji said causing Kencho to follow him and Houka onto the ride.
"Whoa, that was clutch," Ginji stumbled as they left the ride.
"It was alright," Houka said while Kencho followed holding his head.
"It was crazy alright," Kencho added before Ginji started throwing up, "dude, are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm a little dizzy but ok," he responded while straightening himself, "let's hit the arcade."
"Okay," Houka responded before turning to Kencho, "Are you coming?"
"Oh, alright," he responded as they made their way to the building.
They entered the place and immediately, both boys left Kencho on his own, "well, I guess I gotta find something to play."
He made his way to a game which had two pistols in holders. He glanced to his side and there was a dancing game with two drumsticks and playing the game was a dark-skinned woman with a large afro wearing sun glasses. She looked absorbed into the game and was nailing it with ease.
He then turned back to his game and began to play. The screen shifted to a street with gangsters shooting all over the place.
As he played the game, he couldn't help but hear, a familiar pair of voices not too far from him.
"Snugbug, this is amazing," Genka's voice said.
"SaikouCorp doesn't fool around, dear," Kiyoteru's voice responded.
Once again his heart skipped a beat when he turned to find his parents playing a VR game. He dropped the pistols and started to slowly make his way away from the area.
He managed to hide behind a machine but he his parents' voices seemed to be getting louder.
He ran into the men's bathroom to hide. As he sat in a stall breathing heavily.
He could hear the door open and a pair of footsteps approach his stall and push the door. He forgot to lock it, "Uh, it's occupied," he disguised his voice while pushing the door.
"Oh, there's only one stall so I'll wait," and as if he knew, his father's voice said from the other side.
He was stuck now. What was he going to do? If he was discovered, he would be in some serious trouble.
Well, he was in the only stall and he was trapped in the bathroom with his father. What was he going to do?
A thought came to his head and he pulled out his phone and googled diarrhoea sound effects. He then decided to play them, "sorry sir, I had a bad lunch."
"Oh ok, I'll just use a urinal instead," Kiyoteru responded before walking away from the stall and using the urinal.
Kenji listened until he was done and left the room. He sighed and left the stall. Glancing at his watch, he realized it was half-past five pm. It was time for him to get home.
He walked out of the bathroom and looked around. His parents had left and so had Ginji and Houka judging by the look of things.
It was half-past six and Kencho walked through the doors of the mega mansion. He had walk back to school and grab his bag. Luckily, the limo was waiting for him so it brought him home.
"Ugh, I'm tired," he groaned before Drew approached him and got his bag, "your family is having dinner right now so you best go there first."
"Whatever," he responded before walking into the dining room where everyone sat at the table.
"Good evening Kenji," Genka greeted before her husband corrected.
"No dear it's Kencho. Kencho Saikou," Kiyoteru smugly said causing the other Saikous to chuckle.
"Hey," he said before making his was to the table only for Megami to stop him, "Hey Kencho, you have to bow before you sit."
"No way!" he scoffed before a rubber ball was thrown at his stomach forcing him to bend, "ugh!"
the elevator opened behind him revealing Jin who walked in.
"Evening everyone," he greeted before bowing but only received the adults' responses while the teens sat in shock.
"Douchebag?" Kencho said in confusion.
"Twerp?" Jin responded.
"Oh no," Osoro said from her seat.
"Was there a family meeting we didn't know about?" Megami asked while looking at her brother who appeared shaken to his core.
"No, no, no," he started while shaking his head and looking at his parents, "what's going on? Why is he having dinner with us?"
"Now, now everyone," Kiyoteru started, "please settle down, I'll explain."
Both boys joined the rest at the table and waited for Kiyoteru to make his announcement.
"Well, it's simple. Jin will be living with us for a while," Kiyoteru said calmly.
"You've got to be kidding me," Megami and Osoro said in unison.
Megamo was still freaked out though, "No, you can't do this. He has a home and parents of his own. Why can't he live there?"
"The reason is for only his parents and your parents to know. You should just make him feel at home. He's your cousin after all," Kiyoteru said while looking his son in the eye.
"Dad, you can't do this!"
"Since when was it your responsibility to tell me what I can and cannot do?" the businessman challenged with a raised eyebrow.
"Dad, come on," Megamo said while getting up, "really?"
"Megamo, I don't know what's gotten into you but I will not tolerate it do you hear me?" Kiyoteru started while glaring at the boy.
"Ugh, whatever," he said before walking out, "good night."
"Are you okay honey?" Genka asked her husband who only cleaned his mouth and got up, "Snugbug?"
"I'm going to have a word with that boy. I've been too lenient with these kids," with that he left the room.
"Oh no," Genka said before following him. Leaving the other children at the table in silence.
"Shit's about to go down," Megami said while looking at Osoro.
"I hope he doesn't get beaten up," Osoro said with a worried expression.
"Well, I'm eating from my room tonight. Emotionless and I have a battle to attend," the president said before walking off with her plate, leaving the three teens at the table.
"So Jin, how've you been?" Osoro started.
"Oh me, heh, I've been okay…"
Kencho looked at his phone and saw a text from Uzu.
Uzu: Yo Saikou, I need a favour.
Kencho: What's up?
Uzu: dude, I need you to send me a snap of your sister. A nude.
Kencho: Yo, you've gotta be kidding me. I can't do that.
Uzu: come on man, do me a solid man.
Kencho: I dunno man.
Uzu: come on man. Don't be so uncool. You scared or something?
Kencho: Nah man, I'll do it.
Uzu: Awesome. Ttyl.
Kencho sighed as he looked up from his phone. He didn't know how he was going to do this but he had to do it for his friend.
He left the dining table and entered the elevator. He arrived on the floor where their rooms were and walked down the hall. When he passed Megamo's room, he could hear a lot of yelling while he also heard his mother's voice trying to calm the situation. Well, he couldn't care less.
He reached Megami's door and took a deep breath before turning the nob gently so that the click was soft. He pushed the door that swung open without a creak. Of course, that house was well looked after.
He entered the room and quietly closed the door behind him before noticing the person he was looking for on her bed, sending him into panic mode.
He slowly walked towards the bed and ducked behind it when he heard her voice. She was singing some anime song as she came out of the bathroom.
Kencho slightly lifted his head to peek and he saw her standing there in her underwear, tying her hair into a messy bun. She had a good body alright and it made him blush a little. Back to the plan. He had to snap a photo.
He lifted his phone and with a quick tap of the screen, the picture was taken and but the shutter was heard. Leading him to drop his phone quickly.
"Who's there?" Megami asked while looking around for a few minutes. "I must miss Shohin too much," she sighed before walking back into the bathroom and closed the door behind her.
Kencho took this as his chance to bail and he ran out of the room closing the door behind him.
He looked at the picture which caught his sister in full view. The fact that she was doing her hair made it seem like she posed for the photo. That was what he needed.
He did it. He snapped the photo. Now to send it to Uzu.
Kencho: Dude, there it is.
Uzu: damn… you're fast. This picture is perfect.
Kencho: It's cool then.
Uzu: thanks man.
Okay readers. I hope you enjoyed this. I had fun writing this out and I'm sorry if it's a little rushed though. Anyways… see you again in the next chapter. Plus I hope you noticed the Easter egg I put in.
