It was the last day before school starts again. Donna and friends were doing a little window shopping before Spring Break ends. After a little walking, they decided to take a break by a nearby bench, "Who knew shopping would be pretty exhausting" Sydney said as she sat down.
"I know right," Payton asked as she sat down.
"It's been a week girls" Caleb corrected, "Though it feels like six weeks."
"I don't know how I survive without you guys," Donna said as the other smiled.
"Need us that badly" jokingly asked Michael.
"You know what I mean" Donna replied, "Being without you guys feel weird"
"Can't wait to cheer again?" Emma said.
"Me too" Payton replied
"You girls got your pom-poms" Michael replied, "I got my bike"
"Your bike," asked Donna
"Michael's motorcycle" Aiden explained, "He uses it whenever the weather is warm."
"Plus there's the prom coming up" Emma recalled, "I wonder what promposal will Luis do."
"A Freshman prom" Donna smiled, "I can see it now, twinkling lights and slow dances. It'll be so romantic."
She imagined herself at the Freshman Prom with all of her friends joining her on prom fun, ending it with her kissing Michael.
In reality, he stooks out his hand toward Donna. "Hey Babe," Michael said, "Feel like taking a walk, there's a store I wanna show you."
"Sure Mikey" Donna answered as she took his hand.
Later, Michael and Donna were walking hand in hand towards an antique shop "Ye Old Rages and Riches" asked Donna, "That's the local antique shop."
"I know" Michael replied, "I just wanted to get away from everyone else so I can be with you."
"Is that so?" Donna asked "I can't imagine why"
Michael leans slowly until he's only inches away. His fingertips brush her cheeks and whispers, "Let me give you a hint" Michael said as he kisses her.
After a long moment, Michael pulls back and smiles.
"It's all so much clearer" Donna smiled as she smelt something "And Smokier"
"Smokier," asked Donna and Michael as they turned to see smoke.
A fire was going on in another part of town. They followed the direction of the smoke and find Hearst High in flames, "Hello 911" Donna called, "There's an emergency by Hearst High."
"Good work Babe" Michael commented.
"I had to do it" Donna replied as she turned her head, "For specific reasons."
At home, Ben and Lea saw their daughter coming in and hugged her, "Did Rocket played with a flamethrower, again" asked Donna.
"He didn't" Ben answered, "We were making him do laundry, the Earth way."
"So who knows how many dirty pajamas Lea has" shouted Rocket, "Don't you ever wear them out."
On Monday, Donna walked into class with her friends rushing to hug her, "Are you okay, Donna" asked Donna, "We were all so worried."
"Yeah" replied Aiden, "Michael told us about what happened to Hearst High"
"We were lucky we went out shopping when we did" Donna replied.
"I know," Payton said, "And thank Donna and Michael, they're the heroes, again."
On the morning announcements, the cameras showed Maria, "As you know" Maria announced, "Yesterday, there was a huge fire at Hearst High, which means it will be closed until reconstruction is over. Tomorrow, Hearst High students who live at West of interstate 1-98 will be attending Berry High."
Caleb knew one person who lives there, "Brian Crandall" he hated to see his ex-best friend back at their school, "It can't be worse than Isa" he whispered, "I don't know how much more I can take this"
"Me neither" Emma whispered,
"But Hearst must have good students right" Donna whispered.
"That is true" Emma whispered, "Maybe we can make some new friends when we give them a tour."
"Please put your best smiles on for our new students tomorrow" Principal Rivera announced, "They've been through a lot after their school burned down."
By the principal's office, Donna saw that the touring volunteer sheet was empty. Donna decided to show up because not all students at Hearst are mean.
Mia was getting her books from her locker when she saw Donna thanking Principal Rivera for the volunteer opportunity, "So Solo" asked Mia "You're letting the Heast Hooligans go around the school"
"At least I'm being friendly Mia," Donna replied sternly
"Have you forgotten that I was a Hearst student before I had to get away from my parents and Kara?" Mia asked, "They were bossier than me."
"I haven't" Donna replied, "The gang told me about your previous experience.
The next day at lunch, Donna found Michael and gave him a quick kiss, "Now that Donna is here" Aiden announced, "We have some important business to discuss. While I was going over the clubs, I saw that Donna has signed up to give the Hearst High students a tour of the school. No one else is willing to do that."
"Sorry" Caleb replied, "I'm not going to lead Brian around the school"
"If I helped out" Aiden suggested, "I could tell the entire student body about the history of our school. It will be intellectually engaging."
"As interesting as it sounds Dudes" Michael replied, "I'll do it. I need to interview them on how they're going through all this burning."
"Good idea" Aiden replied back, "I don't want Berry High to suffer the same fate they did."
"You know something" Emma suggested, "Maybe he'll turn over a new leaf. Things got better after he left."
"Your right" Donna smiled.
"Did anyone figure out what caused the fire?" Payton asked.
"The firemen reported that it was all caused by faulty wiring" Donna explained, "Looks like the technicians weren't doing their job right."
"I hope Principal Warren fires those lazy technicians." Michael said, "He always hires the cheapest technicians ever, unlike me."
"At least nobody was hurt," Emma said, "And Donna and Michael showed up when the fire was there."
"I hope we earned a medal for that" Michael bragged, "It would look great around my neck"
Everyone laughed.
