Hasbro owns Transformers, Lego owns Bionicle and the name Ketongu, and Galem owns Tali, Ava, Amber, Iris, Diego, Alyan, Adhira, Valera, and Kasar. Also a warning before reading this chapter: There is a paragraph of thoughts from Ops regarding abortion that some people may not agree with. Just know I'm not forcing you to agree with it. It's just my point of view.

Chapter 47: Streets
While the battle continued to spread and rage throughout the city, Green was peeking out from behind a building with his friends all waiting behind him for an all clear. With the noises of war coming from several different directions, they needed to be sure of whether or not they remained in a safe zone. Much to Green's surprise, there were no Makutacons waiting down the street. It was clear, actually. Green frowned. 'Too clear though. Given the randomness of this battle, it should be everywhere now but this spot is peaceful. Perhaps there could be snipers stationed at all the windows. Or the Makutacons have developed a cloaking technology that we were unaware of? No if that were the case, we would be under attack by now. Not that they need any if Huna's are still an option for the Makutacons. Did they want this area clear'?
"Does it look safe enough to go through"? Billy asked the Le-Matoran.
Green looked back at the Toa and Autobots. "Too safe from the looks of it". Green responded. "I think it'd be in out best interests if we remained on guard".
"Got it." Amber replied, readying her weapon eagerly alongside Ava, who was looking like a seasoned warrior with her rifle in hand.
"Roger that, Green."
With that, everyone walked out into the street, everyone positioned carefully so as to see every possible angle of attack. But the only thing that had continued to catch their attention was the damaged state of every building as well as blackened robotic skeletons of the various Cybertronians and Bionicles that still littered the streets. Even some human skeletons were spotted in the masses of corpses. What continued to catch everyones attention about these skeletons were that their jaws were wide open. As if they had been screaming in terror before they died. All these people had been minding their own businesses before the attack came unexpectedly. Before the rage blinded Makutacons had all begun to mass murder several unarmed and defenseless citizens. They didn't care what the Makutacons would say about how they had all deserved this fate for doing nothing before the exile, but it wasn't fair. It wasn't right. Even Z had a look of sorrow on his faceplates at the horrific sight. Much like Z, the Makutacons had been used as a weapon to kill many innocents and do gooders, all in pursuit of telling everyone: "I'm better and stronger than you". The sight certainly made Z glad he wasn't a Con anymore. Even when he had enjoyed killing, he had his limits.
Ava let her gaze roam sadly over the carnage. The half melted frames and charred bone some to the point of dust and ash. It pained her to her core as she wondered of the families lost because of this senseless anger and hate. The children who had their lives ahead of them. The future greats and legends that could have been lay lifeless around her.
"If any of you guys decide to speed up, just be careful, and let everyone know so they can keep pace". Green practically ordered.
Green said this because deep down, he just wanted to run throughout the city and look for Angela in every single building or street he could find. The Toa Rahayu and Voya, being his friends, surely wanted to do the same. Protecting the Matoran was their duty after all. Ironic as one was helping fight this war, but Green didn't consider himself here without reason. Plus, he knew Angela would do the same for him. But unity was still key to their survival in this mission. If any one of them split off from the rest of the group, it could lead to more likely of a chance at dying out here than they already had. The fact that they had an army of Toabots around them was certainly a breath of fresh air, but they were still in danger of getting sniped or snuffed or couched by superior elemental power wielding beings. Every Toa and Autobot was absolutely necessary at this moment.
"That's technically impossible as no group of people is capable of running the same speed as-" Maze had started to explain before Billy touched his shoulder.
"Maze". Billy stated with a quiet but commanding tone. Then shaking his head in disapproval: "Not the time".
"Roger that". Pow agreed. Some of them were probably spooked as it was. They didn't need Maze spooking them off further with technicalities. While intelligence was certainly important in this scenario, so equally was their survival instincts. Then leaning close to Amber, just in case she had gotten spooked by Maze's starting sentence: "Stay close to me, I'll protect you".
Outilisa resisted the urge to roll her eyes as she commented: "Sexist much"? which earned a slight chuckle from Billy.
Pow frowned in confusion. "How is that sexist"? 'She's my girlfriend, am I not allowed to protect her from threats that outmatch both of us'? Pow thought.
"You saying she can't defend herself without you"? Outilisa asked the Toa of stone.
'Seriously, not every girl is a damsel in distress'. Outilisa thought. 'You'd think with the addition of these other Toa to our team, he'd see that. Tali in particular is a reliable fighter. Heck, even the Ga-Matoran fought against Teridax's Rahi before the Toa Mata had arrived on that island. Not to mention the female Autobots who helped Optimus during the war, and outlives several of the mechs. And what about ME? I started out as a Toabot and a Prime one too. I was training under dad before I went into my first battle. I still have one of the highest kill counts among the Toabot army. Not trying to sound like a feminist, I'm just saying we women aren't exactly defenseless'. Outilisa then thought in case anyone with her had a mask of telepathy. If Amber did, Outilisa hoped she knew she wasn't trying to accuse Pow of anything. Just maybe let him know he could be doing something that made Amber feel insufficient.
"No Outilisa". Robert spoke up. "It's just the fact that we love our romance-girls and don't wish to see them harmed".
As much as Iris thought it was sweet and understandable that her friends' boyfriends wanted to make sure they weren't hurt, she knew that was not without a good reason. The guys knew how their girls were. They were fearless, fought brilliantly and were deadly, but even the best of fighters could get snuffed out by an ambush. So Pow putting himself in front of Amber wouldn't be a way of making her insufficient, but more a tactical move where if a sniper attacks, Pow would take the bullet and Amber would take out the sniper. A high risk? Yes, but war is always full of risks. As long as the wound wasn't fatal, Pow would be fine.
Her thoughts were interrupted by movement out of the corner of her optics.
"What was that?" She growled as she drew and armed her silver recurve bow.
Following suite, Billy aimed his arrow sword in the direction of the corner Iris was now staring into with cautious eyes and a ready trigger finger. The others pointed their weapons or armed themselves quickly as the turned in the figures direction, Amber having readied her ice spear while Ava brandished her blades in preparation to strike. Mere seconds later, a tall figure emerged from the shadows, carrying his two usual hand swords and still possessing his orange head somehow. 'I guess even minors can get upgrades these days'. Green thought. 'Especially to Makutacons who betray their dad'. Much as some members of his group may have wanted to deny it at the moment, it was Orange Prime, youngest son of Paradox Prime, this time with an upgrade in size and muscle mass so as to stand a better chance against the Toabots.
"I'm not a that you it's". Orange spat before then tossing an Xtronian metal knife in their direction.
Before any of the Toa, Autobots, or the single Matoran could make a move, Slash dashed over them from a rooftop, blocking the knife with a swing from his blades before rolling onto his feet in front of them. Orange snarled at his older brother in disgust as the two then began to circle each other in the street, Green and the others sticking behind their Toabot comrade so that Orange wouldn't get the chance to kill any of them. Not that they couldn't hold their own here, but this battle was clearly personal for the both of them and getting in the way could've made things worse. No way was anybody getting in the middle of a fight between two youthful Bioformer Primes anyways.
"Those It's, are my friends, and YOU are a traitor". Slash told his brother in an angry and somewhat collected tone.
"Because Paradox betrayed me"! Orange shouted. "You and your sister always had the most respect from him! And I was left to rot in a room, sheltered from the truth about what happened to our race all those years ago! I was not about to let that slide"!
"GOD, is the only truth that matters, Orange". Slash responded. "A fact that you clearly never cared to understand"!
Even from a young age, Slash could tell that Orange had a temper. Worst temper than most. In every u training simulation Orange had been in, he demonstrated brutality and ruthlessness. The first quality was something Toabots would only participate in if they were in a do or die situation and had no other options. Orange was just out to kill regardless of the circumstance. Not that killing was a problem in war, but Orange was a bit too focused on making the scene as gory as possible or putting the Makutacons through pain that not even Paradox would dare inflict. As for the latter case, never. Paradox had taught the Toabots to be merciful whenever the chance arose to change a Makutacon. To give them a second chance at life and see things through a more peaceful point of view, and it had been working even here on Earth. But Orange was too careless. When Paradox had tested him with a simulation of a Makutacon genuinely begging for mercy and no longer being a threat, Orange stabbed the simulation in the head with his servo blade. It had been since then that Paradox had tried to keep Orange out of battle and from hopefully ever becoming a Toabot until Orange learned the benefits of mercy.
Orange chuckled. "Oh, no Brother. I understood just fine. Now, let's see who He favors more". Orange finished with a growing battle stance.
Orange was sick and tired now of Slash and the others underestimating and undermining him. Always telling him: "You're too brutal, you don't think before you act". 'Enough'. Orange thought. Today, he was going to prove to his entire family who was right by killing his brother in glorious combat. Orange wouldn't hold back either. Now that he was finally coming into tune with his elemental power, Orange had been taught a few ways to use it effectively in combat. Upon conjuring up some stone, he planned to hit Slash in the face with a stone covered fist until it became part of the road. Then surely Paradox would come for him and he would kill him too. Then Athena. Then War Machine. Maybe even Xanthium if he smacked him again. Today he was going to give into his jealous rage and inflict it on everyone who stood in his way.
"You guys get out". Slash stated, noticing the rage in his brothers optics and knowing that this fight was about to get messy. 'From my end anyways'. He thought. "I have a problem to take care of".
"Let's go." Amber took hold of Iris's shoulder to direct her away from the scene. "Be safe, Slash!" She called, to which Slash responded with a nod.
As the others were beginning to walk away, Billy remained still and placed a hand on Amber's shoulder to stop her. "Slash, are you sure about this"? Billy asked.
Billy didn't need a mask of telepathy to know that this fight was personal. Slash had tried to teach Orange self restraint next to Paradox, Athena, and Outilisa. Slash had loved Orange dearly despite his flaws and tried desperately to be his understanding friend no matter how many times he pushed him away. Billy could tell it hurt Slash deeply whenever Orange told him off carelessly whenever Slash offered a chance to bond or hang out. Slash was truly blessed that Outilisa had been there to comfort him after every refusal as a kind older sister. Then when Orange had found out about this, he had mocked Slash openly. It eventually got to a point where Paradox had to confine Orange in his room for hours at a time in an attempt to get him to stop bullying everyone around him. But while that had hurt, it hadn't caused Slash to give up on Orange. But now, Orange had really crossed the line by betraying his entire family full of people who loved him unconditionally, all in pursuit of genocide just for the fun of it. It was clear to everyone now how much of a monster Orange was, surely if Slash had finally given up he was enraged. If Slash was forced to kill his younger brother for the sake of his own survival, Billy didn't know if Slash would be able to live with it. Yeah, Slash had killed Makutacons before but this was his brother. He would lose his brother forever by his own hands. 'Could he really live with that'? Billy thought in genuine worry.
"He just wants to man up, Billy". Slash responded as he spun his blades again. "Something I'm gonna do for him".
Seeing he no longer had any other choice in the matter as the two brothers glared at each other, Billy turned and left with the others, silently praying that neither of the brothers would die.

As Ops, Turaga Jala, and five other Toabots continued guarding either side of the alley, explosions, elemental noises, and clashes of blades echoed all across the city. Luckily for them, the fighting was still too far away from them to cause any damage. Ops looked over to Tali for a moment, almost chuckling as he noticed her collected and cautious expression as she looked up and past Jala's shoulder every so often with a hand still on her bow. It was both worrying and cute for Ops at the same time. Cute because it was his only opinion that she looked cute when she was flustered. He thought only as many others, even some Toabots, were frightened by her upon noticing this look. Ops guessed that was normal for couples though. Especially engaged to be married couples. But the look also worried Ops due to the fact that she was currently pregnant, and last he checked stress was bad for the fetus. Which meant not only was Ops gonna have to spoil and pamper Tali for the next six months(Which was a normal amount of time the pregnancy stage took place for Bionicles), but he was gonna have to be there now to relax her clearly on edge mood. Not that that would be a problem. Ops always loved spending time with Tali, and he would hear it if any Makutacons were approaching.
"Does Lhikan like babies"? Ops asked her. He didn't doubt Lhikan could be being the happy retriever that he was, but dogs had been known to unintentionally kill children before so if the dog had any bad incidents with children, he would have to start trying to figure out methods to distance the dog from their infants.
Startled out of her battle focused thoughts by that question, Tali lost herself in digging up memories of her beloved pet. "Yes." She smiled happily. "I remember when some family members came over to introduce their newborn child. Lhikan absolutely adored them." She giggled a bit at the mental image she recalled of the then six month old puppy cuddling with the little newborn.
Ops smiled in relief at that. "In a way, I think he's like a child. Always exited to see his parents when they come home, or in this case his owners. But by my book, he's already like a son to me if that makes sense".
"It makes perfect sense." Tali grinned happily. 'It should make sense. He is MY dog after all.' She mentally teased Ops.
Ops smiled at the mental image then of Lhikan playing with the kids once they were only enough to run without toppling over. Lhikan would definitely have more activities to spend his energy on that way. Cute little fella was such a ball of energy.
Ops's smile dropped then as another thought popped up in his mind.
Ops turned to Tali as he asked: "Are you worried at all about our new child"?
Slowly slowly resting her hand on her belly, she thought of how she felt unprepared to be a mother, how they would raise the child in war, what would happen to it should something happen to both her and Ops, she shook her head to get a mentally grip on herself. She would consider those later. If she let the fear grip her now, it would get her and the unborn child killed. "Yes, but I try not to worry too much about it."
Ops nodded in agreement. "I'm kinda worried about what sex it'll be". Ops continued in a joking tone, referencing a comedic quip from Americas Funniest Home Videos("Owned by Disney". #Z): "I'd be scared if it was a girl because some guys are up to no good, while on the other hand I'd be worried if it was a boy because some boys are up to no good"., earning a giggle from his fiance, which in turn caused Ops to smile. 'Cute'. Ops though. His smile dropped once more as a fearful look covered his faceplates. "Plus... I can only imagine how my parents are gonna react".
His dad, being Optimus Prime, would probably sit him down for a long and uncomfortable lecture about protection and what not. Ops cringed at the thought. He had already had his mom give him the talk and he did NOT need to hear it again from his dad. But his mom, Elita-One, would probably be a bit more harsh about it. Whenever he had misbehaved as a child, even as a teenager, his mother had spanked him or shouted at him with a tone harsh enough to make Unicron cringe. Ops still remembered the times Elita-One had threatened to whoop his childhood bullies around the playground. The things she had said to them still made Ops cringe. Ops didn't want to think about his mom threatening to do those things to him if he ever left Tali alone to raise the children as a single mother. Not that Ops ever would, but still.
Tali put her head in her hand as she leaned against a wall. "I can only imagine how MY parents will react." She muttered, panic slowly rising in her chest. Her parents had drilled it into her that doing the act before marriage was not the best path. They taught her it was more special and rewarding after the ceremony. That's why she had been so upset earlier. She had been mad at herself for not stopping it when she had the chance, but now she would have to see it through...and pray her dad doesn't kill Ops for putting her in this position like he always promised he would when she was growing up.
Ops turned to Tali then. "Well, either way they'd have to deal with it, because I do NOT want to be someone who murders a fetus".
Though Ops was aware there were many opinions on the manner, even scientists who still insisted that fetus's were not alive, Ops didn't care. Ops had read in the Bible that ever since a baby was conceived that they possessed life. That in itself was all Ops needed to believe that. He didn't care if scientist came up with some "undeniable truth" that they weren't alive at the stage. Ops was a mech who was very stubborn with his beliefs and rarely ever backed down on any of them. Besides, even if the Bible hadn't said that, Ops would still see it as wrong as it would basically mean whoever was taking the life of the unborn baby was taking away it's own chance to leave an impact on the world. In Ops's optics, it was no different from killing a baby in its crib. A fetus was still a baby in his eyes, and a life capable of love and affection. Ops couldn't even bear to think of the heartbreak of those babies as they were being slowly killed by their mother in the womb. The fetus's were surely confused and sad by that choice before accepting their fate with the belief that their mother had never loved them as much as they loved her, unconditionally. Ops would never bring himself to commit such a murder no matter the circumstances of the conception. It was not the baby's fault for being conceived after all. The deluded child parents only had themselves to blame in most circumstances. And even in the circumstances where one partner did not have a choice, it still wasn't the child's fault. That child was being murdered for the actions of another person no matter how that person viewed the situation.
"Neither will I." Tali looked up at him, determination shining in her eyes. "After all, a child is a gift from God. I can't just...do that to it. I could never live with myself if..." Tali's voice cracked and failed as she began to cry. The thought of ending the little one's life before it even began was heartbreaking to her. And even though professionals would say time heals all, she knew they were wrong. The guilt of killing an unborn never heals. It won't leave. She remembered the sorrow she felt when she heard word of a girl from a different school had committed suicide after having an abortion and it only strengthened her determination to never go through that.
Seeing her pain very clearly, Ops almost ran to Tali before hugging her gently, resting her head in his neck and petting her hair as he hid his tearful expression. "Neither could I, that's why I'll help you raise it. Even to your dad's angry Hau, I promise". He said that least part with a bit of a teasing tone.
Unlike some mechs, Ops wasn't the kind who refused to face their responsibilities. He didn't even need threats from parents to be motivated to help Tali raise her children. She was his world now. When Ops remembered his failures to save his team, Tali was always there to comfort him. In turn, he had been there to comfort her over her twin brother who had been like a best friend to her. Ops would rather take a bullet to the helm instead of run away from the female he loved just because she was pregnant. He certainly wouldn't blame her like some immature and jerky mechs would their femmes. It was more the mechs fault than the femmes anyways, and those specific mechs deserved the child support charges. Ops still remembered hearing about break ups over a pregnancy in High Schools and was angered by it. Ops had even gotten suspended once for breaking the teeth of one of those mechs. Leaving a femme to take care of a child alone, leaving her to suffer thousands of sleepless nights alone because of a mechs own mistake was evil.
Tali leaned further into his embrace, being calmed by the love and comfort he was radiating. "Thank you." She whispered, wanting to stay in his arms forever.
Ops smiled happily then at the fact that she was comforted as he responded: "You're welcome".
Ops would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy this too. This was the female he was going to marry in probably a few months, meaning that for the rest of his life, one of Ops's main duties would be to her. To making her feel happy, treasured, beautiful, and remaining faithful to her. Not that Ops even cared about her looks. She could wake up in the morning looking like an ugly witch and Ops would still love and be affectionate to her. Even if Ops wasn't that kind of person, Tali to this day remained one of the most beautiful females he had ever seen in his entire life, and considering he was already thousands of years old that was saying something. He still considered it a blessing that he got to her heartlight first before another guy who would only use her did first. In areas where most men wouldn't care, Ops would do his best to treat her right.
Another question popped into his mind then as he was about to pray for a topic of discussion to comfort her with. One that he was surprised he had never talked with her about before. After silently giving a prayer of thanks to God, Ops looked down at his fiance and asked her: "For when we DO get married, how many kids do you want"?
"Two or three." She smiled. "Though I used to lean more for just two."
Ops nodded. "Yeah, I'm totally with you there. Starting out at least".
Ops said that because of the simple fact that children were expensive. Not that that kept him from wanting kids. He and his fiance were both making $40 an hour each, and they were scheduled to get a pay raise soon. But there was only so much money you could spend on a multitude of children, and Ops wanted to give their kids a great life where they could get whatever they earned. Ops was even considering giving them an allowance for chores and was already making plans to save up money for them for their college should they decide to go. Though high schools were offering more career based options for education, college was still an option. Ops and Tali both went to different universities after all and were some of the best Toa and Autobots because of it. That was years ago of course, and again wasn't so necessary anymore, but still.
"Would you rather this one be a boy or a girl"? Ops asked.
"I don't know. Maybe a girl?" Tali smiled uncertainly. It was her dream to have a firstborn daughter but she didn't want to get her hopes up. 'Besides, as long as it is alive and healthy, I don't care which gender comes first.'
"Yeah, I could see that". Ops agreed. "But if it's a boy I already have the perfect name picked out".
"Oh." Tali blinked up at him in interest. "What name is that?"
Considering this name had much value to both Ops and Tali, Ops knew this name would also be the perfect way to honor the person of this name. It would be the best way to honor that persons sacrifice to bring about peace, which according to Shalom may not have been in vain. This person may have said something to Killer. Something that was enough to give him a change of liark. The name of someone who ultimately brought Tali and Ops together, though unintentionally. Someone who was a great moral character amongst everyone on the team, the best of them even for the bravery he constantly displayed for his team and the people they protected. Someone who Ops dearly wished he had had more time with, so that this person would be there to experience the improvements that were being done now, as well as the happiness Ops had brought to his sister.
"Gahu". Ops responded.
"After my brother?" Tali gasped in shock as tears fell from her eyes. "Ops, I...I don't know what to say."
Ops continued petting Tali's hair as he responded: "Your brother was one of the best Toa on our team. It's the least I can do".
This was true. Ever since he had known Gahu, Ops had been inspired to become a better version of himself, and was still developing as one. honoring Gahu further through this just seemed like the right thing to do. Not just for Ops, but also for Tali to remember what a good person Gahu was.
"Thank you." Tali smiled as she rested her head against his shoulder.
Ops kissed Tali on the forehead. "Thank you for giving me the opportunity to know someone else who was better than me".
Based on his conversations with Gahu, it had been his sister who had told him to join the Toa Voya, a team who Gahu had actually been trying to join through his education at Uni. Tali had been the one to tell Gahu to follow his dreams and to not let any pressures from other people keep him from fulfilling them. In that logic, it had been because of her that Gahu had come into Ops's life at the moment where he needed help. Though he had God to thank more for this. For God had placed in their life circumstances where they could meet. Gahu's death was likely not one of these things as Ops and Tali could've ended up meeting regardless. But Gahu through his sacrifice had still inspired Ops to be a better man, and so he thanked God for giving him a Toa example, as well as another Toa to continue giving him a life for the better.
"You're welcome." Tali nuzzled him happily.

Biomnarvel740: Optimus Prime and Elita-One are owned by Hasbro, and Tahu and Gali are owned by Lego.
Galem: they are such a cute couple.
Biomarvel740: Indeed. It would be even more so if they were given more to work with in G1. Not even to mention Elita-One only appeared in a two parter episode.
