"Hey, do you think Ruby's Ozpin's favorite because she reminds him of Goodwitch?" Yang asked from her bunk. Her sister began to protest but was ignored.
"What are you talking about, Yang?" Weiss frowned, looking up from her homework. "Ruby acts nothing like Professor Goodwitch."
"She's definitely…different…" The lecture Ruby had received when the two had first met came to mind, making the young girl grimace.
"Remember the Battle for the Wi-Fi?"
The room fell silent as RWBY reflected on that bloody war.
"…She has a point," said Blake after a few minutes. "I guess we never noticed because of the lack of Wi-Fi."
Yang shuddered. "Those were dark times."
"They probably force themselves to stay professional." The Faunus shrugged. "That was what I did when I went on White Fang missions."
"We should follow them and see what they're really like!" Ruby slid off her bed, eyes lit up in excitement.
"Are you serious? We could get expelled!"
"Aw, c'mon, Weiss! It'll be fun!"
"It could be interesting."
"Then it's decided!" The leader of RWBY pumped her fist into the air. "Our mission starts tonight!"

As far as they could tell, their professors hadn't noticed them, nor had they done anything particularly interesting. After finally leaving That Which Students Could Never Sneak Into (AKA, Ozpin's office), the two walked slowly through the campus towards the Ever Fall Forest.
Then Professor Goodwitch grabbed Ozpin's hand, entwining her fingers with his.
The silver-haired man smiled crookedly at her, making Ruby squeak in surprise. Weiss smacked her leader's arm, finger to her lips.
"This is PDA, you know. We could lose our jobs." Despite his words, his green eyes were lit up in delight and amusement.
Blake frowned. "His eyes were brown…" The rest of RWBY murmured in agreement and confusion.
"Your illusion broke." Glynda's smile turned teasing. "Is my presence distracting you that much?"
Ozpin rolled his eyes and flicked her in the nose, using her distraction to steal her glasses.
"H…Alex…Oz – gah! Whatever your name is!"
"Is my presence distracting you that much?" He pulled her close, but held her glasses high above her head, out of reach.
"Give me back my glasses!"
"Give me back – " The headmaster stopped and shook his head. "No, I think I'll keep them."
"Fine, then." She snatched his cane. "This is mine then."
"I need that to walk."
"I need those to see." The normally stoic professor stuck out her tongue.
"Yes, well…" He bent down so that their foreheads touched, then their noses, then…
Ruby squeaked in surprise again, her face bright red. She turned and fled from the scene.
"R-Ruby!" The rest of her team chased after her.
Their professors watched them leave and drew away from each other. "That'll teach 'em to stalk us," Glynda said, a distinct note of satisfaction in her voice.
"I didn't expect it to be that easy. You know that this will spread around the school, right?"
"Let it. They can't prove anything." She raised an eyebrow. "What were you going to say back there before you stopped yourself?"
"Nothing!"
