Legolas was right there; Apollonian bow in hand. Energy arrow to string he let it fly...for the minotaur. It entered through its head and and forced the monster to release Arwen. She swiftly dropped to the ground as the arrow then exploded in the minotaur's head. Empusa snarled but I was already flying at super speed for her and bashing her hard in the face with my fist. This knocked her completely away from the defenseless king. Eowyn arrived with sword in hand but Legolas had this under control from range as I had from close range. She slashed out at me with long claws but I dodged them. Legolas fired another energy arrow into her back. Empusa shrieked and tried to reach desperately for the arrow. I super sprinted at her and super drop kicked her in her central mass; this knocked her away from all of us to the far side of the bedchamber. Legolas shot another energy arrow through her head as he had the minotaur just moments before. Instead of exploding though she was taken in magical fire. She shrieked as she burned to nothingness.
"Are you all right?" Legolas said to the royals as he and Eowyn entered to render further aid. Gondor guards were inside right after that. They were stunned at the horrific sight before us. The guards wondered how it was even possible for these monsters to have entered so easily. Arwen and Aragorn were in a state of total shock. It would be that way for a while. This was quickly understood by the men/aides of the royals and quick aid was given to them. I stood off to the side to let this occur. Part of it was to stay out of their way and the other part was to keep watch in case the enemy tried something else.
My lovers then came over to me. They each took a hand of mine. "Your brother?" said Legolas. "Ultimately; via Hecate," I said. Eowyn remained in horror at all of it. "I'd seen the worst with the Nazgul lord...but this was something far worse." I nodded. "It was. And it's because they can return at any time." We looked over at the royals. The queen seemed to be returning to something of her normal self...but Aragorn.
"Did they do other things to him...besides the violation?" said Eowyn; she struggled to say every word. "It's possible. I don't think it was poison or anything like that; but only time will tell."
For insight I ordered the wonder plane to scan him from its stationary stealth position above the city; it reported that Aragorn had indeed been compromised in more than one way. Empusa's rape hadn't just been physical; it had been mental and spiritual as well. She'd intended to eat him alive if we hadn't showed up when we had. The damage to the king was worse than met the eye. His soul was the greatest casualty. Hecate's magic was almost without rival; even Circe didn't touch it.
This was residual evil; a backup curse to make him suffer in the event Empusa was stopped. It would be a slow agonizing death; a slow decay into oblivion; where even his soul would even be destroyed... "What do we do?" said Eowyn. I could only shake my head.
And this went far beyond Hecate's attack of the king so soon after I'd repelled Morgoth; this was more accurately a super surgical attack upon the very kingdom of Gondor itself. It was an attack on hope itself, which Aragorn had always symbolized. Brother sought to demoralize middle earth in ever new and horrific ways. For now...he had the upper hand where Arda's dark lords had failed.
