Demetri's Point of View
Time Skip: 1 Month Prior
November
"Like I said, it's like the guy just disappeared. I can't pick up his scent. The best course of action now, would be if I joined you all, so I can keep Bella and Avery safe." I spoke into the phone with a clenched jaw.
"And I'm telling you, if you are being watching, someone will follow you to our location and find us." Alice replied from the other end of the phone.
"Have you had a vision of that happening?"
There was a slight pause from her before she answered. "No, but that doesn't mean anything. I didn't get a vision that Caius was going to attack the school either. That means he has found a way around my abilities." Alice said with concern in his voice.
Damn it all.
"Look Alice, I know Bella is going to be delivering in another month of so. I wanted to be there for her... and Avery will be delivering my baby in the next coming months afterwards... I have every right to be there."
There was a few voices chattering on the other side of the phone now. I heard the phone getting roughly passed and a new voice coming on.
"Listen you bastard. Bella isn't your concern any more. And you raped Avery. You have no rights to her child. You tried to kill her. She wants even less to do with you than Bella." Rosalie spoke with a icy tone.
I hate that blonde bitch with a burning passion.
Tristian, who was sitting right next to me flinched at the sound of her voice. Guilt danced in his eyes as he looked in my direction. "Can I speak with her?"
I nodded, passing him the phone. "Be prepared, she sounds like she is in a wonderful mood."
Tristian sighed, putting the phone up to his ear. "Rose, how are you... I... really miss you."
I listened intently. There was no way that I wanted to miss this conversation. This would at the very least be the highlight of my morning.
"How is Morgan?" Was the first words out of her mouth.
Tristian visibly turned tense. "She is doing well. She has been sticking to the animal diet ok... she actually forgives me for turning her."
Let's not forget Tristian has been fucking her brains out for the past twenty four hours.
"That's wonderful... I just... I'm sorry that I left without you... and I'm sorry that I haven't been calling. I just feel like Avery and Bella need me more than anything right now... and Morgan needs you more than anything right now." She said with a gentle tone.
"I suppose you are right. I've been really worried about you." He continued, now starting to pace the room.
I'd say he is more worried about having this conversation with her...than if she was actually ok.
"I'm fine... and I can't wait to see you. I'm not sure when that will be... but hopefully we will figure that out when Carlisle gets here."
"Actually, I didn't plan on... coming." Tristian said lowly.
It was quiet between them for a long time, I wondered if she hung up on him.
"Is that so... and why is that Tristian?" Rose replied, her tone sounding like it was full of pain and anger.
Tristian swallowed hard, glancing at me.
I understood that he was looking to me for a little help. He had a hard time hurting people's feelings. And he had already let me know that he would need help ending his relationship with her.
"He's done with you blondie." I said simply. "He was never really in love with you... I mean how could he with the kind of personality you have?"
Tristian gave me a frown. "That's not the case. You are wonderful Rose, the time I've spent with you... I was happy... and I really thought that we could make this work... but... my heart has always been with Morgan."
That's a nice way of saying, he was using Rosalie until Morgan was ready to become a vampire. He probably wasn't doing it on purpose, but I'm sure that's how blondie felt at this point.
"So why did you even bother pursuing a relationship with me in the first place? Why me?" Rose responded; sounding like she was sobbing; as if that was possible.
"Morgan... wasn't interested in turning into a vampire... even though she was battling a fatal illness... she told me to move on... find someone that I could spend eternity with. She wanted me to let her go so she could live and die as she pleases." Tristan said with a sad look coming to his face. "And I tried to do that... with you. And I truly care about you... but now... Morgan has been saved and she wants to spend eternity with me... and I her."
Rose sounded like she was falling apart on the other end of the phone and I couldn't be happier. The bitch got what she deserved.
"Go crawling back to Emmett, I'm sure he will take you back." I chuckled with a smile. "You can't just... replace your true mate. So... Emmett must be the one."
"Go to hell Demetri. That's never going to happen. Emmett and I have been done since I commited myself to Tristian. And I'm not ready to give up on us."
She was truly stupid. There was no way. Tristian made up his mind. He knows who he wants. It's pointless to keep pinning over someone you can never have.
The moment that thought occured to me I felt a pinch in my chest. This was almost similiar to Bella and I. Our relationship ended... she made her choice... she wants Edward. And I was the moron who just kept chasing after her.
I was just as stupid. Love made us act this way. Without reason or rationality. It would be the death of us both if we kept holding onto a future that wasn't possible.
I snatched the phone back off Tristian. "Listen, I don't like you much. But take this from someone who is still madly in love with someone that will never feel the same way... give up... and find someone that loves you for who you are... you wouldn't want to be second place to anyone else would you? Find someone who makes you the prioity." I said with a cold stare. "He gave up his eye for this woman. He would clearly do anything for her... she is his top prioity."
Again Rose was quiet, but I could hear slight movement in the background. And a voice that sent a jab of pain into my chest.
"Rose, are you ok?" It was Bella's voice.
I chewed my lip, holding myself back from asking about her. I wanted to speak with her so badly... I missed her. More than I could ever show. But she didn't love me... she wanted nothing to do with me. I had to... let her go.
"That's the smartest thing I've heard you say." Rose said with a slight chuckle. "Careful, I might think you are growing up."
I rolled my eyes. "Shut up... why don't you do yourself a favor and go out to town and pick up some nice looking men and forget all about Tristian."
Tristian glared at me. "Demetri..."
I looked to him with a shrug. "You are the one that left her. She can go sleep with anyone she wants now."
Rose laughed on the other end of the phone. "I don't think so. I have most of my time watching over Bella and Avery. I don't have the time to go out and do things like that. Nor do I want to."
"Whatever you say, well, I'm hanging up. You call when Carlisle gets there. I want to know what's going on."
"Fine," She said and hung up.
"Well, that went well." I muttered, looking to Tristian.
"I still feel awful..." He said looking away from me. I was distracted for a moment by his empty eye socket. For some reason it made me a little uncomfortable. We would have to do something about that.
Maybe a glass eye... or an eye patch. I don't know. something.
"Well it's better to get it over with... a guy like you... sleeping with a woman while commited to another one... that just isn't your style." I said folding my arms across my chest.
"H-how did you... know about that?" Tristian asked, appearing completely embarrassed.
I rolled my eyes. "Come on... the two of you have been sleeping together from the time you broke up until now. I told you... I know you better than you know yourself. You can't fool me."
"You're wrong. Once we broke up... I only was ... intimate with her on three seperate occassions." He defended himself. "And once she was turned... well... we haven't been able to stop."
I truly did envy him. He had a woman that loved him and wanted to be with him. I don't even remember what that felt like.
"I knew that your private hunting trips always meant you were going to see Morgan. While poor Rose was busy tending to Darius and Bella... you where out whoring around with Morgan." I smiled slightly. "I must say, I didn't know you had it in you."
"Thanks for making me feel even worse." Tristian sighed, running his hand through his hair. "I tried moving on from her... I tried to love Rosalie and be faithful to her... but I knew my heart and soul only belong to Morgan."
"You should have ended it sooner." I said patting his shoulder. "If you would have, you wouldn't be feeling so guilty. Look. Just try to relax. Rose is ok with your choice. Now just be happy."
He nodded, slowly he smiled. "I guess you're right. I better go find Morgan. She was wanting to head out to hunt."
"I'll join you after a bit." I said waving as he walked out of the room.
I needed to think of a way to find out Bella and Avery's location. There was no way that I was going to miss Bella giving birth... or Avery. I have to speak with Carlisle. Maybe I could follow him up.
Suddenly I heard a loud banging noise and panting. It sounded like someone was having some hardcore sex. But instead of it coming from Tristian's room; like it has been for the past month, it was coming from Emmett's room.
Curiosity bounced inside of me.
Tristian and Morgan had left hunting... and Emmett and I was the only ones here at the house right now. Carlisle was out protrolling the area, looking for any sign of Caius. So... who was Emmett screwing?
I listened intently until I heard the woman's gasping breaths and low moans. She sounded like she was really enjoying herself. I was able to recognize the timid sounds of her girl.
It was Jada.
Amusement tickled at me and I let out a laugh.
Sorry Rose, sounds like Emmett is off the market as well. I had noticed the two of them spending a lot of time together. Emmett seemed a lot more calm and level-headed with Jada. It was only a matter of time before they started sleeping together.
It was strange, everyone seemed to be finding love, except for me of coure. But did I deserve any different?
Jada was the only one that was allowed to follow Carlisle out to the location of where the others had gone. He was taking her along because she was still new to the newborn diet and could benefit to a new area. A more remote area.
I knew they planned on leaving tonight, Jada would be staying on location and Carlisle would be returning. He was only going over to check on Bella and Avery. Now that Bella was getting close to delivery Carlisle had to visit at least once a month. To make sure everything was going smoothly. But he would have to return because more and more of his friends and aquaintances were showing up each week.
And they didn't take kindly to me.
There had to be some way I could talk him into letting me follow him up. I just... wanted to see Bella... and Darius... and Avery.
But I knew the risks involved with that. They needed my strength here. Especially if Caius was to show up here in search of Bella. But... Bella needed me too. I don't care if she believes that she only needed Edward... if she likes it or not... we do still both care about each other. She just doesn't want to admit that yet. Maybe she never would.
That didn't matter. I would find a way to see her. Even if it kills me.
Sorry if this chapter confused anyone. This chapter was more of a filler, for readers to understand why there was a sudden change with Avery and Rose's relationship.
The next chapter will be a back to the present.
Thanks always for reading and reviewing!
