Gabriel noticed miraculous underneath his scarf was shifting from lavander to deep plum then back again. A cycle of the butterfly miraculous which signaled Gabriel, that there was a person feeling a strong negative emotion close by. A perfect subject for akumatizting. Wouldn't you think?
However, this couldn't have been worse timing. The feeling he had before his Miraculous alerted him could be best described as being 'half-happy'. He was doing the profession he enjoyed with people he liked working with but the people he loved weren't at his side. No Emilie. No Adrien. He still had Emma, who he didn't possess as strong of familiar bond with since he was just getting to know her. Sure, he could of choose to not transform and not risk his present for his past. But, this wouldn't be a good ending to a Miraculous story if someone didn't get Akumatized, now wouldn't it?
Gabriel hid himself in a back room hoping to remain undisturbed as he quickly transformed. "Guilty or not guilty the court can not prove a crime without witnesses to testify. This makes him the perfect candidate to draw out Ladybug." The newly transformed villain said as he turned a butterfly into one of his akumas. "Fly away, my little akuma, and evilize him!"
The akuma flew into the crumpled photo in Eric's hands. A photo of Nathaniel's son that he had printed off the night before. He had only meant to threaten the poor child in the hope Nathaniel wouldn't testify in court and he would stay a free man. A man who wouldn't have to admit to his actions that people were persistent in calling crimes. Eric Thompson believed that he didn't do anything wrong and that Hawkmoth was here to hand him a way to keep his freedom.
"Hello, Omission. I am HawkMoth. I give you the power to omit the memories from the people that accused you. All I ask in return are the Miraculouses of my two enemies, Ladybug and ChatNoir." Hawkmoth said making sure to include ChatNoir in the new villain's hit list. It wasn't very fatherly to put a bounty out on his own son but Hawkmoth new he couldn't mend a relationship already beyond repair.
"They Krutzbergs will rue the day they crossed paths with Omission." Eric said before transforming into his villainous form. He was dressed in a judge robe, he also wore a golden mask that covered every inch of his head, and he carried a large gavel to execute his evil plans. His first plan of action was to lure out Nathaniel and the superheroes by threatening to wipe Ezra's memory.
Emma and Erza were sitting at a table playing makeshift tic-tac-toe with cucumber slices and shrimp. Luka stayed close by for the children's safety while Marinette had chances to mingle with the guests. A woman shrieked when Omission used his newfound powers on her date. Omission hoped he could use the chaos that ensued to his benefit. A parent usually grabbed their child's hand if they were old enough to run on their own. The problem with this was that young children couldn't keep up and soon slipped out of their parent's grasp.
Erza crawled underneath the table and covered his ears. He couldn't stand all the commotion associated with the newly transformed villain. Emma was shaking similar to Erza but not out of fear but excitement. This was her first akuma attack and although she did not possess a miraculous as of yet, she was already planning a way to defeat Omission. First she needed to find a weapon. She did not have access to a baton or yoyo. She however, did have access to the shrimp and cucumbers slices on the table. She thought that the shrimp would only work if Omission was allergic to seafood and the cucumbers would only be affected when in a battle with ChatNoir.
"Chair?" Emma questioned. Knowing that they were quite a popular weapon in American wrestling. "That's not going to work." She said thinking about the practicality of a chair being portable especially when it did not collapse. She climbed under the table only to ask Erza what he thought would make a good weapon. Of course she took the food with her. She wouldn't be Emma Dupain-Cheng if she didn't eat in a time of crises.
Luka saw both of the kids go underneath the table. He knew that was probably Erza's idea since Emma would never chose to miss out on an akuma attack. While the kids were hidden all Luka had to do was to figure out was where the akuma was hiding before Ladybug arrived; hopefully that was soon. To his surprised it wasn't Ladybug who appeared first it was ChatNoir. Luka did not understand why he so surprised because he did see ChatNoir earlier in the day when he walked down the catwalk.
Marinette was backstage with the models changing out of her ridiculous expensive gown to a dress more suitable for sitting. She loved the dress but wished Gabriel thought of the practicality of putting sharp butterflies all over the dress. At least he could of made the base out of Eva Foam or used interfacing as way to make the butterflies three dimensional instead of using worbla. No wonder her dress was so expensive when it had both, worbla which cost fifteen dollars just for a nine by ten and a unimaginable amount of Swarovski crystals.
She put her dress on a mannequin since her sleeveless dress wasn't exactly hanger friendly. She looked at the dress she brought with her and it was an orange dress similar to the color of Rena Rouge's hero costume. She didn't create this dress, no this was something she merely bought on impulse and year back. Now, it finally has used instead sitting in the back of her closet festering. She completed her look with a pair of black ankle boots to give her feet a break from those awful heels she wore with the previous dress, a thin black scarf, and golden bracelets.
Luka tired to call Marinette several times as he watched Omission from a table over from the kids. He knew running was obviously a bad choice since Omission was targeting someone and would take down anyone in his path to find this specific person. He then called Nino hoping that him and his family were safe from danger. While Luka tried to get in contacted with Miraculous users that could very well help the situation, Emma and Erza were found by Kurt.
"We're partners. You can't fight a bad guy without a partner." Kurt said as he crawled underneath the table to join the two other children in playing hero.
"He's my partner." Emma said pointing to Erza of whom was given the role of Ladybug by default.
Kurt munched on one of the cucumbers slices as he replied to Emma. "He's.. not a very goo...d one."
"You have to give him a chance." Emma words seemed more like an excuse to opt out of being Paris's number one. "He'll calm down. I think. Maybe?" Emma
added hoping that Erza could be Ladybug for at least five minutes.
The villain was at a uncomfortable distance to where the children hid, a least according Luka. Luka ran to the other side of the room. "Hey!" he yelled as he threw a plate from a nearby table.
"You dare to defy me?" questioned Omission as he shot a few blasts at Luka which he thankfully dodged. He had no plan except to stall for time. 'It couldn't take that long to change could it?' Luka asked himself then remembered that it took Marinette five hours to settle on bringing the orange dress and accessories.
"I dislike authority!" Luka shouted back as he hid behind a table. Last thing he needed was to be blasted with a forget-me-shot. The villain threw the table to the side with one strong toss ready to blast his annoying obstacle.
A blur of black and red intersected the shot. ChatNoir and Ladybug sat on the floor rubbing their heads not sure who they were and how they got there.
"Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged in." Omission stated.
ChatNoir lacking all the memories of who he was still managed to find humor in the villain's pun. "That's a good one."
This predicament all started when Marinette was informed by Nino about the Akuma attack by phone. Nino had taught Kurt if he couldn't find Alya or him that he should either go to a family friend or an employee of the establishment.
"There's a akuma attack... Kurt's missing.. he was there... and now he's gone... And Alya's going to kill me." Nino said. He knew Alya had Levi and Remy with her and was hoping Marinette could help him find his missing child. Nino's life depended on it.
"He is most likely with Emma." She said trying to give the distraught father a tiny bit of relief. "I'll handle the Akuma. Call Alya." She added. She knew everybody was going to be on board to make sure that the kids kept unharmed. She transformed as soon as she hung up from her conversation. No time could be wasted.
She ran out of the the make shift dressing room that the venue provided. "How did I not hear all this commotion?" Ladybug asked herself. She observed Omission behind the stage glad her daughter was sensible enough to hide. Luka was distracting Omission and when Ladybug thought there was an opening for her attack she was grabbed by ChatNoir.
"Don't scare me like that!" Ladybug scolded. She then thought that ChatNoir might have more information on the Akumatized villain then she did. "So, what do you know so far?"
He smirked instead of answering her question. He held onto her arm; grip not wavering. "ChatNoir?" She questioned finding it worrisome that he wasn't speaking. ChatNoir usually had a difficulty keeping his mouth closed.
"Give me the Ladybug Miraculous." He ordered. She didn't deserve to be Ladybug not according to him. She would never be worthy.
Ladybug punched him in the chest to get away from his grip. "What happen to you?" She asked not thinking that perhaps she was the cause of ChatNoir's mental break.
"I was fine. Everything was just fine!" He said as he pursued her even know Ladybug was walking backwards to get away from him. "Then she walks back into my life. And now I need to fix it."
"I can't let you do that." She stated yo-yo in hand, ready to battle her old friend.
He noticed that the hand she used to grip her weapon was shaking. "I will squash you, little bug." he added.
"I took you on once before. I can do it again." She said as she spun her yo-yo. She could use her Lucky Charm but she wanted to reason with him. It worked when she battling ChatBlanc.
"Don't pretend that you are her!" He said as he tried to hit her with his baton. She luckily avoided it.
Ladybug thought about using the villain to her advantage to take down ChatNoir. ChatNoir had a knack for getting attacked however, this plan would only work if ChatNoir wasn't working for Hawkmoth. She heard Luka taunt the villain. She had seconds to decide what to do. She ran over to Omission with yo-yo in hand. She wanted to prevent Luka from being a victim of Omission by simple using the yo-yo to intercept but ChatNoir tackled her causing the two to intercept the line of fire with their bodies.
Luka ran over to Ladybug. "Are you okay?" he asked. She just stared at him in confusion.
"Shouldn't you be asking him that?" She asked as she pointed to ChatNoir who broke Ladybug's fall.
Omission noticed that Luka kept looking at a table as if there was something or someone important hiding by or under it. "Come out, come out, where ever you are." The villain said before lifting up the table cloth but there were no kids to be found.
"The Krutzberg child! Where is he?!" The villain asked Luka who was the only one that retained his memory.
"How am I supposed to..." Luka sentence was cut off by a superhero crashing threw a window. The hero was dressed in a orange fox themed suit but she wasn't Rena Rouge.
When Nino called Alya and explained the situation so far. The one thing he didn't tell Alya was his plan because he knew she wouldn't agree to it. He needed help. Ladybug and ChatNoir were missing. Rena Rouge and Queen Bee were out of commission for two very different reasons. Ladybug had trusted Carapace to look over the Miraculouses until she felt she was able to resume her duties as a hero. He need to retrieve the best Miraculous to defeat this villain. He knew who he was going to give the Miraculous to. "The monkey? The dragon? The mouse? The horse?" Carapace questioned as he made his way to the apartment to pick up a Miraculous.
After the call from Nino, there was not much Alya could do but wait. She clutched the Miraculous around her neck. She couldn't help unless she was willing to risking losing her unborn child. Alya looked around wondering if she should entrust someone with her miraculous just for this moment. She was told by Ladybug many years ago "Never give your Miraculous to anyone."
But, this was before Alya had her boys. As much as hated to admit it, Ladybug abandoned Paris. She didn't deserve to have an opinion anymore. Alya knew that in this moment it didn't matter what was said ten years ago. She had to find someone quickly. She saw Nathaniel comforting Lila. Alya remembered briefly seeing their son during the event. She did not see him with his parents which meant he was still in the building.
"I think we can help each other." Alya said to the Krutzbergs. Lila was probably the last person on Earth that Alya would ever give a Miraculous to. She was still petty about a few incidents that happen in high school that involved Marinette and her. However, she was the only one who knew how to use the Miraculous besides Alya. She held out her hand; the fox miraculous in her palm.
"Your Rena Rouge?" Nathaniel asked in disbelief that one of Paris most celebrated heroes revealed her civilian self to him. Lila wasn't surprised there was plenty of evidence pointing to Alya being Rena Rouge.
"Yes, and now is not the time for questions. Our children are in danger." Alya said before looking directly at Lila. "I am entrusting you with the fox Miraculous. Return it to me when your done."
Lila grabbed the Miraculous and hid in a alley before transforming into her old persona leaving Alya to explain to Nathaniel why she knew about the fox Miraculous. Lila now Volpina once again searched the building for her son. She could careless in defeating the villain after all she once sided with Hawkmoth. Their past partnerships were thrown out the door when he was risking her family.
Emma shoved Erza into a nearby custodial closet. "I promise I'll come get you after I beat up the bad guy." She said smiling as she closed the door. This was the only way she knew she could protect her pure cherry tomato.
