A massive cold front came in like a tidal wave, dumping a massive amount of snow, glancing out the window that was colored with multi-colored Christmas lights framing and bathing me in the light. Shadow was sleeping on her bed. Allowing a small smile across my face. Winter break started yesterday. Mom and I were getting ready for the holiday party that the guys and Master Splinter were hosting. Dressed in a pair of nice jeans, wooly brightly colored socks that were covering my feet. A warm green sweater that offered more warmth to fight against the cold. The bright and shiny black moonstone shine against the Christmas lights. A sharp tap of a knock alerted me that Mom was there.

"I'm dressed," I said.

She opened the door and walked into my room. She offered me a smile, she was dressed in jeans and a light green sweater that had small gold dots that shine.

"Are you ready to go yet?" She asked.

"Yes," I said. "I just need to grab my boots."

Pushing the box out from under my bed. Mom just nodded and walked out of my room. Shadow was still sleeping soundly. Grabbing the brown boots and slipping them on. Standing up, zipping them I stood up. Reaching over and flicking the lights off, bathing the room in shadow. Leaving the room to find Mom placing earthen wear pots on the dining room table. The holiday party for pot luck. Dressing in our winter coats, hats, scarf, and gloves.

Coming into the lair to see everyone else was there apart from Mikey. The lair was decorated for the holiday season. The Christmas tree was up and looked ready to be decorated.

"Happy Holidays!" Leo cheered coming into view, Master Splinter appeared from his dojo.

"Season greetings Tabs and Mrs. Black." He said.

"Thank you for having us, Master Splinter." Mom said. "Where can we put these pots?"

"Here let me help you," Leo said taking the pot from Mom's arms.

Offering Mom a smile and walked after Leo, holding my pot. Coming to a large table that was surrounded by chairs of different types and sizes. This was typical for the guys and the lair.

"Where's Mikey?" I asked. "I'm surprised that he wasn't the greeting person?"

"He's enjoying the snow up in the park," Leo said. "He should be back soon."

"Got ya," I said. "Where's Raph and Don?"

"Raph is checking on the drinks and Don is his lab I think," He said. "Why are you asking?"

"I was just wondering," I said turning to see April, and Casey was talking to Mom.

Giving Leo another smile before heading to find Don. Raph skated passed and gave a nod of the head to me. Don's lab was an old subway car, I always wonder how they got a subway car here. Coming to a stop and knocked on the door. They swung open and I stepped in, the doors shut behind me.

"Hey, Don!" I called. "Happy Holidays!"

He turned to face me, and smile.

"Hey, Tabs!" Don called with a smile, he was working at his work table. "Happy Holidays!"

"So what are you working on?" I asked walking over to it.

"A new skateboard for Mikey." He said allowing me to see it.

"He's going to love it," I said. "You're a great brother."

"Thanks, Tabs." He said.

A knock on the lab door alerted us to someone.

"Come on you two we are going to trim the tree!" Casey yelled.

"Coming!" I called

We both shared a look and broke out into a laugh.

"We should go and face them," Don said.

"Let's get going," I muttered rolling my eyes.

We both walked out through the doors, Don disappeared from view.

"Mikey should be back by now," Leo muttered.

"He is probably enjoying the snow and lost track of time." Master Splinter said. "He will be back soon."

"I hope so Sensei," Leo said.

Raph appeared on his skates and holding large butterfly knives.

"Raph what's with the butterfly swords?" Leo asked.

"Just trim the tree," Raph said cutting the tree until it looks perfect. "Man I'm good I should have been a barber. Little off the top?"

Rolling my eyes at the comment, Leo rolled his eyes as well.

"Ah no thanks," Leo said raising his hands

"Christmas Cookies are in the oven," Don said holding the pan of cookie dough. "Who wants to lick the bowl?"

Raph jumped on the bowl.

"This is sweet," He said holding the bowl and started to lick it. Raph started to eat the bowl and began cover in cookie dough. Looking away and try to look somewhere else. "Normally Mikey hogs all the good stuff."

"Maybe we ought to go look for Mikey?" Leo suggested.

"Nah he'll be okay," Raph said. "He's probably on his way back right now."

"I hope you're right," I said.

More people had arrived for the holiday party Casey and Raph when up and brought them down, yet still no Mikey. Fear was starting to get a louder voice in my head, where was Mikey? Was he okay or could he be hurt?

"Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays," I said coming over to the new guests.

Still, Mikey wasn't back, we began to set the table for the food. While the others were decorated the tree. It was nice to get ready to eat and celebrate the holiday season. Casey and April both look up and find them under the mistletoe.

"Whoa, what do you know?" Casey said turning to face April. "Mistletoe ain't we supposed to kiss or something?"

"That's not enough mistletoe to make me kiss you I'm afraid you'll need a whole tree," April said. Casey wasn't getting the hint.

"Look more mistletoe," He said lead down to kiss her. She ignores it, just rolling my eyes at them and when back to setting plates and silverware. She walked away from him. "April wait up! More mistletoe," Realizing that someone is moving the mistletoe to be right above them. Looking up to see Raph and Angel were moving the mistletoe on a clothesline. "There's no way out of it. You gotta kiss me," April realized what I realized, wherever she went the mistletoe followed. "Look it's following us it's a sign. A sign from above."

Fighting back a laugh that came out.

"Exactly!" April called looking to see Raph and Angel with the clothing line.

Allowing myself to laugh.

"Hi April," Raph said and waved in April. "What you got there mistletoe?"

"Jones, did you put them up to this?" April asked.

"No, Never," Casey said. "Maybe."

April smile at him,

"Okay then," She said. "Pucker up."

Casey shut his eyes and April slapped him with the mistletoe. Fighting back another laugh.

"Whoo," Angel said. "That's gotta hurt."

"Oh right in the kisser," Raph said.

A portal opens and the Daimyo, Usagi, a humanoid rhino appeared. Thankfully Mom wasn't surprised with anything anymore.

"It is an honor to be in your home," The Daimyo said and the three of them bow. "Splinter Sensei."

"The honor is all mine." Master Splinter said both him and Leo bow back.

Usagi said something in Japanese. "Leonardo son I got you something."

"A sword wicked," Leo said looking at it and smile. "I got you something too."

"A sword what a wonderful gift," Usagi said

"Nice letter openers." The humanoid rhino said. "Boys now where's the free chow. I'm starving."

"Please come all are welcome at our table." Master Splinter said. They walk over to us.

Offering a smile to Usagi, we both bow to each other.

Silver flacon and Casey started an arm-wrestling contest causing me to roll my eyes. Silver falcon won hands down which sent Casey flying back.

"Forgive me, Mr. Jones," He said. "I don't know my strength sometimes."

Casey didn't look pleased, another arm-wrestling match happens this time with both Casey and Raph going against silver Flacon. He still won. He then up against April.

"Yo April give it up will ya Raph and I couldn't beat him," Casey said. "There's no way."

April won, sending Silver Flacon flying back.

"You were saying Casey Jones," April said walking past.

Dinner was ready, we were sitting and waiting for Mikey to appear. Worry and fear were covering over me. Where was he? Was he okay?

"I don't know about you guys," Casey said. "But I'm starving. Let's chow down on the holiday goodies."

"No this a time for family and being together we must wait for Michelangelo," Master Splinter said.

"Where is that bum?" Raph asked.

We were still waiting for Mikey, and everyone was getting annoyed and worried.

"All right we'll give Mikey another five minutes," April said. "But that's it the food's getting cold."

"Agreed." Master Splinter said.

"He better gets here soon that bonehead," Raph said.

Footsteps alerting us to someone coming.

"Merry Christmas everybody!" Mikey called holding up a little orange kitten. "Meet my friend Cluck!"

The kitten Cluck mew in responded.

"Mikey where have you been?" Leo asked.

"Our guests have been waiting it is very rude." Master Splinter said.

"I know," Mikey said. "I'm sorry but you're not gonna believe what happened."

"Mikey we don't want to hear some lame story," Raph said.

"Uh…uh….uh….Raph," Mikey said making Raph quiet. "This is supposed to be a season of giving."

"Yeah and I'm thinking about giving you a well-seasoned smack upside the head," Raph said shaking his fist.

"Guys it's Christmas Eve," Mikey said. "It's a time to remember those less fortunate than ourselves it's a time not to think of ourselves at all and I have just the ticket."
After eating we don your winter coats, and the guys, The Daimyo, Usagi, and the humanoid Rhino made themselves not to scare anyone. Mikey told us what happen. Helping the children in the orphanage. Seeing April kissing Casey on the cheek under the mistletoe.

"My sons I believe Michelangelo is right this is a time for thinking of others. A season of giving." Master Splinter said.

Carrying two boxes one addressed to Abel and the other was addressed to Cayla. Taking a deep breath as I rang the bell for the Hayes home. Silently praying to Lady Hesta and Lady Hera to keep the peace with them. A buzz greeted me.

"Hello Hayes residence," Bobe Rose voice came through. "Who is this?"

"Hello Bobe Rose," I said. "It's Tabitha."

"Hello, my dear little wolf." She said.

"I have gifts for Abel and Cayla to celebrate Hanukah," I said.

"I will come down and get the gifts for them." She said.

A buzz when off and I just waited for her. I knew that if I came in, my stepfather and I would not be nice to each other and I wouldn't do that to Abel, Cayla, and birth mom. Bobe Rose came into view wearing a pretty blue and silver sweater dress.

"Hello Bobe happy Hanukah," I said holding out the boxes. "These are for Abel and Cayla."

"That's so sweet of you little wolf," She said leaning down and kissing me on the forehead. "Happy Hanukah little wolf." She handed me a small box.

"Thank you, Bobe," I said switching the boxes. "Happy Hanukah."

"Happy Hanukah little wolf," She said again. "Get home and warm up."

She gave me another kiss on the forehead and headed back inside. Putting the gift into my bag and rushed home. I knew that Abel and Cayla would like their gifts. Coming into the apartment to find a large box that was wrapped in bright purple and red paper. On the tag, it was addressed to me from Alex.
