A/N: Yellow! Happy New Years! Happy Holidays!
Welcome back, fellow readers. Ready for another chapter? Well, here it is.
Enjoy!
(P.S. Quick shout out to all of you. I have never received so many follows and favorites for a fan-fiction that I started years ago. Thank you!)
Warning: Just some minor cursing.
Going Home
"I wish I could control time. That way I could have more time to sleep before we got into this mess." I said, folding the clothes I was given from the base camp.
I was extremely tired, dark bags under my eye lids. A sigh came out of my mouth as I slumped forward, brushing the shirt I was folding off my thighs. It dropped to the floor and I started at it. If the shirt had feelings, I would definitely know what it would be: used and over used.
"Yeah? Well, if I could control time, I would slow it down and replay that time we kissed." Said Sam, sharing googly eyes with Mikaela.
I felt like barfing.
I don't know what happened between them that had caused them to be all lovey-dovey, but, from the way Sam keeps mentioning Mikaela and him kissing, at some point during the whole run-for-your-lives battle at Mission City, they had kissed. Gosh, this was starting to seem like those trashy romance novels where the heroine saves the day and gets the girl of his dreams.
Hello! We just merely escaped death or enslavement from an alien race!
I slumped further forward.
"Cute." Mikaela commented.
The air in the room suddenly got thick with so much sexual tension that I decided to leave at that point or I would barf in disgust.
I hit the pile of clothes we had finished folding accidentally and let it fall down. They could deal with the clean up.
I left the room, but left the door open a bit. Walking down the hallway of the camp dorms, I exited the building, being greeted with the shining rays of the sun. I brought my hand up to my eyebrows, blocking out the sun.
The soldiers stationed here had already been up and moving, doing drills and working on their assignments. A couple of Sector 7 agents where still here unfortunately, wearing their oh-so-original uniforms and standing like guard dogs.
But across from camp, where the hangars for planes and other important stuff are held, were the Cybertronians, or more specific, Optimus Prime and his league of alien superheroes.
Feeling my lips tilt up to a smile, I swiftly made my way over there, walking through a bunch of running cadets. I made sure to not get tangled up with them.
The hangar housing the Autobots was a different one. It had previously been used to house one of the military bases bigger planes, but was moved out to accommodate the Autobots. Also, it was nicer than the other hangars, which where very old and full.
I entered the building, skipping my way to Ratchet. My little babies were with him, chatting up a storm to every Autobot they saw. Well, the talking was done more on Kain's part while the other little one followed him around like a lost puppy. It was adorable at first, but I was starting to get jealous.
"Hello." I chirped out to the first Autobot I saw, which was Ironhide. He was sitting on his hide, cleaning one of his big plasma guns with a rag.
I received a "Hmm." in return from ol'-grumpy-yet-hardcore Ironhide.
I tweeted a hello to every one, even Optimus Prime, whom was in his semi form. But Ratchet, Bumblebee and the kids weren't there. I stood for a whole complete minute wondering where they went, contemplating if I should be worried or not.
"Lookin' for Ratchet and the troublemakers?" Said the small grey Autobot, Jazz.
Jazz was looking much better now. After the battle, he had a couple of wounds, but they were easily treatable, except for one slash mark he received on his left shoulder. As far as I know, he was still healing from it, although he looked fine right now.
"Yeah. You know where they are?" I asked. Jazz grinned and shuffled backwards.
"Sure do, lil' lady. I'll show ya'."
I followed him as he spoke, taking large strides to keep up. We exited the hangar and went to the back, where a little farther away were the other bots at.
"Bumblebee and the sparklings wa' kicked out of ta' hang'r after making loud noise by Ironhide. Tol' them ta' play outside. Ratchet went afta' them ta' watch." Jazz explained to me.
I nodded and watched as Bumblebees played with the kids. Two other smaller Cybertronians were there that I haven't met yet. One was in the same height as Jazz, with a light blue colored frame. The other was smaller and slimmer looking, with the colors of white and red.
"Who are they?" I asked. Jazz smiled.
"Tha' smalla' one is Red Streak. The otha' one is Aqua." Jazz said.
"Oh."
I was honestly a little curious who they where beyond their names. Turns out Bumblebee and the Decepticons weren't the first ones to be here after Megatron. When Megatron went after the cube and came to Earth, other Decepticons and Autobots followed along in his trail to either help him or stop him. Optimus was one of those Autobots who lead the small group to Earth. And along the way, some neutral Cybertronian's got dragged along.
This led to some totally unknown Autobots to be here in search for the cube. They weren't able to contact the rest of the Autobots since their communications system was bust. But they stayed loyal to their party and were glad Optimus was there with them.
I don't know what happened after that, but these Autobots stayed on Earth while Optimus left with the only ship they had. It's enough info for me to understand that Cybertronians really have been here for years, or at least that's what Teresa told me.
We got closer to the small group of Cybertronians playing and I couldn't help but laugh. Ratchet was just standing watch and sometimes making quick remarks of warnings as the sparkling played rough.
"Oh calm down, Ratchet. They won't get hurt." Aqua said. Her blue paint shined under the blazing sun as if brand new and she moved skillfully away from the sparkling as they rolled around in the dirt.
"I will relax when I'm on my day off." Ratchet said.
"Which is neva'." Jazz commented. They all looked up at us -and down because I'm short- and greeted us cheerfully.
The sparklings, standing on Bumblebee's chest, stopped trying to attack him and ran to me while screaming and chirping in happiness.
"Carrier!" They said. I don't know what that meant, but if it's something positive and said in a cheerful tone, than I accept it.
"Hey there, babies. How are you?" I asked, giving them a big hug. They burst into giggles and snuggled to my sides.
"We're good. We were playing with the others and Bumblebee is teaching us how to fight." Kain said. The other little Cybertronian chirped in agreement and both gave a high-five to each other.
I gasped and glared up at Bumblebee. "You're teaching them how to fight? How dare you." I said. I held on tightly to my two Cybertronians
Bumblebee's wing-doors went down and he gave a light chirp aimed at me, looking down at the ground. Ratchet sighed behind Bee and placed a hand on his left shoulder.
"Don't worry, Selena. We've all been here taking watch and making sure no one was getting hurt. It's normal for sparkling to play rough and fight. Sometimes they don't want to and tend to stick to the books. Just know that these two are old enough to start learning to take care of themselves." Ratchet said, giving me the biggest monologue ever. I was shocked and couldn't grasp the fact that Ratchet was telling me to let my babies fight.
"But-but." I didn't know what to say. Was I even allowed to say anything since I knew little to nothing about Cybertronians? I looked down at the two sparkling and sighed, seeing their glowing eyes looking up at me. They looked so happy, with maybe a scratch or two on them, but happy nonetheless.
I sighed and gave a kiss to their cheeks. "Okay. I understand." I said, even though I didn't get it completely. I looked back up at Bee, who was still looking down at the ground. My lips twitched up in a smile. "I'm sorry for being upset with you, Bee." I said to him.
Bee looked up at me and he gave me a small smile. His chirps where high pitched, sounding cheerful and happy. It made me feel happy as well and I grinned, letting go of Kain and the other one.
"Oh, out of curiosity, why aren't you talking?" I asked him before he turned around to leave. Bee's shoulders perked up and he looked at me. I expected him to talk to me, but he didn't and instead started to use his radio in replace.
"I like the way things are." A man's stubborn tone came from his radio-voice. I was kind of disappointed since I did like his real voice, but him using his radio was comical.
Ratchet rolled his eyes at Bee, and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Oh, he can talk. Just chooses not to. I imagine it's because of the time he's been on Earth with out his voice box fixed." He grumbled.
Bee dipped his chin down, shoulders going up. I imagine he was embarrassed with Ratchet scolding him publicly.
I giggled and shook my head. "That's okay. Although I like your real voice, I guess using the radio is much more fun."
Bee's wings perked up and Aqua laughed behind him, pointing her index digit at Bee.
"Someones got a crush!" She cried out to her friend, Red Streak. Red Streak rolled her eyes and pushed Aqua's hand down.
Bee then turned around and huffed. "What? What?" His radio said.
I laughed nervously, my cheeks heating up. Looks like Autobots have a sense of humor, I hope.
Aqua continued to giggle in front of Bee, not loosing her grin as Bee kept staring at her with his body frame tense. He looked ready to pick a fight, and might have with Jazz in the sidelines egging Bee on. Red Streak grabbed Aqua's shoulders and pulled her from Bee's sight.
"Loosen up, Bumblebee. Aqua's just teasing." Red Streak, small and sleak, had a very intimidating voice.
Bee huffed and crossed his arms. "Watch yo self." A mans voice came from his radio box. Red Streak rolled her eyes again and started to tug Aqua away. Aqua whined right behind her, the female Cybertronians heading towards the Autobot hangar.
I looked up at Ratchet, then Jazz and Bee. "Are you guys all like this? Because if so, just let me be out of it." I commented.
Jazz laughed while Ratchet frowned.
"It's usually the sparklings that act out childishly." Ratchet quipped, staring at Bee. Bee huffed and squared his shoulders defensively. Bee then started to walk away, not in a good mood.
I frowned and bit my bottom lip. Maybe I should go and cheer him up?
Bee was hiding at a dark corner in the hangar, away from the others whom were located at the front. He was sitting, legs laid in front of him while playing with a small, light purple cube.
"Hey, big guy." I said.
Bee didn't look up and we sat in silence, hearing the Autobots at the front talking as they discussed about the knew information regarding the alliance with the United States and the Autobots. I didn't dare get involved. The topic was heavy and confusing. I didn't know shit about alliances and politics.
I was nervous being alone with Bee. No one was focused on us or butting in on our personal space. The sparklings were busy being a handful for Ratchet and Jazz as I had left them in their responsibility. Bee and I haven't had a proper conversation. With the Decepticons on our tails and Sector 7 capturing us, there was no time for just some friendly chat. I'm still surprised we have managed to make it alive.
"Bee." I said again. Bee paused from fiddling with the purple cube. I don't know what the heck that was, but it was very pretty and it glowed. It was definitely not the 'rubix cube' that we all risked our lives to keep away from the Decepticons.
I then held my right pinky out, giving Bee a small smile. "We're still friends, right?" I asked.
Bee then looked down at me and then at my pinky. Silently, Bee reached his own pinky out and lightly snagged it around my own. His own was very warm, confirming that Bee and the Cybertronians were more organic and alive than metal. It was also comforting. I imagine cuddling with Bee during a cold day would be very nice.
"Of course we're friends." Bee said, using his real voice. This time I didn't react terribly like an excited child. I just kept smiling, because there was no way I wouldn't be.
"I'm glad, than." I said. "I wouldn't have it any other way."
Usually, making new friends can be difficult, standing on a rocky surface that could crumble or strengthen. My friendship with Bee was unusual, though. We were thrust into a situation that depended on life or death. And being in the same situation, well, we simply started to get along. We could chose to not to, but Bee was a determined fighter and I could be a brat who liked to engage with people-and aliens as it turns out to be. Our friendship could have crumbled a long time ago during the whole situation with at least one of us dyeing or betraying, but no such thing happened. In some way, we had began to trust each other despite the danger and not knowing each other. I didn't know anything about Cybertronians, and they didn't know much about me besides the social medias I have online. And just like that, a path had been made for us before we even knew what was happening, and we couldn't do anything about it. Hopefully our friendship is on a strong surface to withstand anything.
Bee smiled back at me and then slipped his pinky away from mines, bringing it up to touch under my chin. "Me too."
By the end of the week ("A week with no school!" as Sam would call it), an alliance had been made between the United States and the rest of the United Nations with Optimus and his team of Autobots. The alliance was put on a huge stack of paper that I would not dare touch to read, because lord, who would be able to read the whole stack. The alliance was called the Nonbiological Extraterrestrial Species Treaty, otherwise known as N.E.S.T., but I like to call it Networked Elements: Supporters and Transformers because it sounds way better and nice to include me in it, if you count me being a supporter.
NEST was still in its skeletal writing, and details had to be filled up to cover all parts that everyone was worried about, like where the operations of NEST would be located at and who exactly would be allowed to work with the Autobots. A decision had already been made for the NEST liaison, the UN getting the full rights to select some random white guy that I've never heard off. A logo for NEST was currently at work, and many Autobots and humans were at their wits end trying to have a design made.
"Maybe a picture of the Earth and then robots would be good." Some random guy said, scratching the top of his head.
The lady besides him, a Private Sanders, scoffed. "I still think we should have a design of a skull. We could be like those guys on the movies, but like extra awesomeness on top." Everyone rolled their eyes at her.
"Perhaps we could just use our Autobot logo?" Ratchet said, pointing at the Autobot sign on his chest.
Everyone looked up and stared, squinting to get a good look at it.
"It does look nice, but maybe we can put a hat on it. You know, like one of those Irish hats that those Irish guys with their bag pipes would wear. What's it called?"
"I don't know, but what I do know is that maybe we can have the Autobot insignia in front while in the background is a graph of the Earth." Lennox commented.
"Nah. That sounds boring!" Someone shouted in the back, and I rolled my eyes from my view point up top of Jazz.
"How about we sketch it out first? Who here knows how to draw, cause I can't draw shit. All my hand writing looks like squiggles and chicken shit." Epps said, grinning as Becky snickered next to him.
Some people raised their hands, stepping up with some paper to draw. Sometimes the others would input their idea on the design that was being made, frustrating the designers. Other wise, we watched as it was being made, Jazz commenting how we humans could draw such tiny designs with small pencils. I rolled my eyes at him and wondered if Cybertronians knew anything about art.
When it came down to voting for the best designs -I wasn't aloud to cast my vote. Something about I not being in NEST, which I thought was unfair- Captain Lennox's design won, although everyone was mostly surprised that Jose choose to cast his vote for him. His vote guaranteed Lennox in receiving more votes from others, and thus his design won.
NEST now had a logo and the sketches of the design was sent to the developers at P.R. (Public Relations).
When the final form of NEST was made, Sam, Mikaela, and I were allowed to see our parents and leave the temporary base. It took a while, the reason being because of government agents lecturing and instructing us on not to speak of what happened to anyone and to forget of everything that happened to us. I would've laughed at the agents straight up if it weren't for the fact that I was feeling homesick.
Despite that we were being dismissed and sent back home, we were also apparently going to have some secret service agents guarding us and making sure we didn't say anything or were attacked by the AWOL Decepticons. The good thing was that Bumblebee was coming with us, and I don't think it's because Sam argued with the government agents about him having bought Bee from a car resaler. Although everyone was suspecting that Bee really wanted to come with us for some reason based on the fact that he was the one to suggest it. I was happy though, not because we had an alien to drive us around, but because I had a friend to hangout with and show him my city.
"Oh, Sweetheart! Did those people hurt you? I swear to God, I will sue your ass!" Ah, classic mom and her passive-aggressive attitude. Dad shushed behind her, rubbing her shoulders up and down to her arms.
"Yes, love. We'll do that to, but first let's go and check out the damage at home and see what else we can sue them for. Who knows, maybe we'll get a huge load of cash for all this mess." Dad said.
I shook my head and hugged my mom right after Sam did, feeling comforted in her hold. I had never thought that I may never see my mom and dad before until today and I'm thankful that I'm not dead.
"Mom, dad, come meet Bumblebee and the rest of the Autobots. You'd love them. They're pretty weird, but nice and awesome. One is a Porsche, which you didn't want to give me, may I remind you, and one is a white and black Ferrari." Sam rambled. Mom nodded along and dad rolled his eyes at Sam's jab at him.
Mom and dad did meet the Autobots, although they froze for a bit. It was funny at first, until Sam jabbed his elbow against my still bruised ribs. Mikaela giggled at my expense and I pouted.
"You're friends look, ah, nice." Mom said. Dad snorted.
"Nice? Honey, I think nice is used way too loose. I'd say humongous."
My parents meeting the Autobots wasn't so bad. They were tense around them, making awful jokes and weird comments as their way in breaking the ice. Bumblebee had apologised to my parents about our backyard being ruined and dad had cursed. Mom gasped and covered Dads mouth, scolding him for his bad language and threatens him on taking away the tv from him for a week.
"What?! Judy, no. You can't do that. You can't take away my daily shot of Dr. Oz. He's the only doctor I can afford!"
Mom rolled her eyes and tutted at dad. "I can and I will, cheapass."
Dad pointed his finger at her.
"Aha! You just cursed at me. That means I get to take away your manicure sessions."
Mom gasped and swatted a hand at his finger. "Lies. Cheapass is not a curse word, Ron."
"Oh yeah? How do you know?"
"Because the Webster's Dictionary said so."
Ugh, parents.
The bad thing about leaving the base was that I wouldn't be able to see the rest of the Autobots, Lennox's squad and Jose's again. According to the U.S. national security, I'm not supposed to know anything at all, meaning lips sealed and I won't be found in prison. Our final goodbye to Optimus was kind of emotional for me. I mean, the big guy has this fatherly voice that makes me feel like I'd walk the end of the world for. If that didn't say something about Optimus leadership, than I don't know what will. Above all that, I wasn't allowed to take Kain and the other sparkling home with me simply because they were alien babies. Again, according to the U.S. national security, I wasn't old enough or Cybertronian enough to raise sparkling's. It was all bullshit, but I can't argue with the stone-faced people called Agents (even though I tried and failed). They don't listen to people like me.
"You're leaving us?" Kain asked me. His eyes were so blue, and his small frame looked so fragile. I felt like bursting into tears.
"Yes. I'm sorry. I can't take you with me. There's nothing I could do. They just don't understand that we're family." I said. "But don't worry too much. I have asked Ratchet to help our case. Hopefully the Men in Black will let you two come back with me."
Kain and the other sparkling nodded, then gave me a big hug. I love these two so much, my heart was breaking.
Lennox and Jose's team cheered us up for a bit and gave us some goodbye cards or hugs. Lennox told Sam, Mikaela, and I that we were brave and young teens with a lot of potential. I hope that means that he'd leave a position in NEST open for us once we get out of High school and/or college. And if a spot wasn't available, I had a feeling that Teresa would keep a spot open on her team.
The NSA or the National Security Agency took us home, Bumblebee driving right behind with Sam and Mikaela. It sucked that I was pulled into the black security vans with my parents. They were so boring and besides, I wanted to talk with my sparkling's and Bee and tell him of all the things we could do. I didn't want to be back here being babied by my mother while my dad rolled his eyes at us and sarcastically tell mom that I was fine.
Nonetheless, we were safe. The Decepticons were gone. Bumblebee was alive. The Autobots were allowed to stay on Earth. Sam and Mikaela are a thing now. And, we were going home (without my sparkling's, which is unfair).
We were free at last.
A/N: I've noticed that I haven't updated for this fanfiction for over a year, which is disappointing for me. I've been procrastinating and pushing this fanfiction to the side while dealing with other things.
Right now, my family is going through some personal things and I'm trying to help out. I'm on winter vacation and don't go back to classes until Jan 21. So maybe I've got some time to keep working on this fict. Don't expect me to update frequently, sadly.
Also, if you're a Marvle fan and like Avengers, I've made a fanfict called "Nefarious Agent Stuart". I don't know if you'll enjoy that one. It's just a side project and I won't be updating that one very much. Nonetheless, if you do decide to check it out and like it, than that's okay.
Anyways, thank you everyone for reading my fanfiction. It's been an honor.
~Toodles~
