Chapter 49: Clash of Plans
-Katsuragi's House-
Keima, Tenri and Rimyuel just arrived in front of Keima's house.
"I'll see you two tomorrow." said Tenri.
Rimyuel simple nodded as a response.
"See you tomorrow." said Keima as he looked at Tenri.
Tenri then smiled a little before walking pass them and heading to her own house. Keima and Rimyuel was soon left alone outside Keima's house and the problem in Keima's head started to seem inevitable to him. Keima was distressed as he opened the gate to his house still thinking of a way to find a valid excuse.
"Hmm? Something wrong Keima?" nonchalantly asked Rimyuel as she stood behind Keima.
Keima's eye twitched as he heard her question.
"This whole situation is wrong!.." thought Keima as he opened the gate.
As Keima opened the gate the door of their house also opened.
"Oh. I thought I heard something outside." said Mari as she opened the door.
"He-Hello Mother." responded Keima, clearly still not having a concrete plan.
Rimyuel then suddenly stepped inside the open gates and bluntly said "Hello there Auntie.".
The two Katsuragi both looked at Rimyuel with widened eyes.
"WHAT?!" thought Keima and Mari.
-Katsuragi's House, Living Room-
Minutes later Keima found himself sitting beside Rimyuel on the couch, while playing with his PFP in one hand. Mari sat on a chair opposite the two. Mari placed her fist on her mouth and coughed getting the attention of both Keima and Rimyuel.
Mari looked at them with concerned eyes and asked "N-Now tell me, A-Akari was it?".
Rimyuel simply nodded.
Mari breathe in once more and seriously asked "Akari, are you another girl who likes Keima?".
Keima felt like he needed to rest his head upon hearing his own mother.
"No. I'm just his cousin." nonchalantly answered Rimyuel.
"Cousin?" questioned the now confused Mari.
"Yes. From Elsie's side of the family." Rimyuel bluntly answered.
Keima suddenly felt the air tense up and when he looked at his mother, her concerned look was now gone and was replaced by a very irritated and slightly angered one.
"I'm really sorry Dad..." thought Keima as he quietly went back to playing his game.
-Katsuragi's House, Keima's Room-
Keima was now in his own room with Rimyuel after Mari finally excused herself to make some calls. Keima sighed as he sat on his gaming chair, Rimyuel on the other hand found herself a comfortable seat on Keima's bed.
"Are you really staying here until the whole exchange student program is over?" asked Keima without looking at Rimyuel.
"Of course. It would've been the best course of action to take, you should know that by now." bluntly said Rimyuel as she got more comfotable on Keima's bed by lying down on it.
Keima sighed again and thought "I know already, but you could've done a better job at blending in...".
"Why didn't you just disguised yourself as Elsie?" asked Keima.
"Do you honestly think I could act like Elsie?" Rimyuel nonchalantly questioned back.
Keima then looked at Rimyuel and saw her already looking at him with her unchanging expression. Keima sighed.
"She has a point." thought Keima.
"Also Keima, we need a change of plans." suddenly said Rimyuel with a serious expression.
A sweat dropped from Keima's face as he saw and heard Rimyuel.
"What happened?" asked Keima.
-Unknown Location-
"Eeehh! How long do we have to stay hidden?" someone ranted.
"C-Calm down S-sister, L-Lune-nee h-has a plan..." someone else shyly answered.
"We should really just strike down this Capturing God...hehe~" someone seductively said then she licked her lips.
"Don't even think about it Mavie." reprimanded someone else.
Four figures kept chatting to themselves as two other figures where seperated to the group, yet somewhat close as well. In the group of two the other approached the other one who was sitting on the floor while staring at an orb that was displaying images.
"Lune. Why are you smiling?" the figure asked as she approached Lune.
Lune kept her eyes on the images the orb was displaying.
"Nothing. I just found a toy we could use." answered Lune with a smile on her face.
The other figure then took a look at the images as well.
"Level 4." the figure spoke out as she saw the images.
-Katsuragi's House, Keima's Room-
"Kumamoto. She's a danger to the conquest." Rimyuel bluntly answered.
"I already know that. But leave it to me I can-" said Keima, but he was quickly cut off by Rimyuel speaking.
"You don't understand. Her heart, it has a gap open." suddenly said Rimyuel.
Keima suddenly stopped talking and understood the situation.
"How powerful is the loose soul?" seriously asked Keima.
"She doesn't have one." Rimyuel answered.
A confused grew on Keima's face as he reacted with "Huh?".
Rimyuel closed her eyes acknowledging Keima's confusion.
"At least not yet, but judging from what I observed earlier she's almost ready to nurture a level 5 loose soul." explained Rimyuel.
Keima's eyes widened as he heard Rimyuel. Flashbacks of the conquest of Kusunoki's sister entered his mind.
Rimyuel then looked at Keima again and said "Do not worry about it. Nora and her partner will focus on Kumamoto. Your priority right now is the three Goddesses left.".
Keima composed himself and asked "Can Nora and Ryou really handle a level 5?".
"As much as those two look like a train wreck they have the highest conquest count only getting beaten by you." stated Rimyuel.
Keima's eyes widen at the news he has gotten.
"They're that good?!" thought Keima.
"Anyways starting tomorrow you should av-" said Rimyuel but was interrupted by knocking on the door.
Both Keima and Rimyuel looked at the door as it opened.
"Ah- dinner is ready! " cheerfully said Mari as she opened the door.
Mari saw the two already looking at her.
She blinked twice and asked "Am I interrupting something?".
"Nothing at all Auntie. I can't wait for your cooking." bluntly said Rimyuel.
Rimyuel then stood up from the bed and walked closer to the door before looking back at Keima, who was still playing on his chair.
"Let's go, cousin." said Rimyuel as she smirked.
- Shiomiya Residence, Shiori's Room-
Shiori flopped on her bed as soon as she finished dinner, she reached for one of her pillows and buried her face in it.
"I-I'm just o-overthinking a-again!..Shiori you have to stop!.." thought Shiori then she unburied her face from her pillow and continued her thoughts "I-I even worried my parents...".
She started to remind herself of what happened earlier at dinner.
Flashback...
-Shiomiya Residence, Dining Room-
Shiori was eating dinner with her family, but her mind was focused on something else.
"Shiori?" suddenly her father called out to her.
Shiori jolted realizing she was in a daze and looked around to see both her father and mother looking at her with concern.
"Y-Yes father?!.." Shiori hastily reacted.
"Are you okay?" her father asked.
"Y-Yes. I'm just..really into a new book I'm reading.." answered Shiori as she looked down on the food on her plate, not really wanting to lie to her parents.
End of Flashback...
"He pr-promised...I'm allowed to not fo-forget him...So why am I w-worrying?..." thought Shiori as she tried to calm down.
"Shi-Shiori?" suddenly called out Minerva.
Shiori looked to her right and saw Minerva sitting on the other side of the bed.
"A-Are you okay now?" shyly asked Minerva while showing a concerned look.
Shiori shown Minerva a small smile before saying "I-I'm fi-...", then her smile vanished and said "...not.".
Minerva stayed quiet, knowing already the answer.
"I-I'm scared M-Minerva...E-Ever since I he-heard about Kanon's d-doubts m-my own doubts grew..." Shiori shyly opened up.
Minerva crawled closer to Shiori.
"I-I'm not confident enough!... I'm sta-starting to wish Ke-Keima's conquest sh-shouldn't end..Am I being se-selfish?.." Shiori struggled to ask.
Shiori's question was met with silence, but suddenly she felt a small hand patting her head gently.
"I-It's g-gonna b-be fine!" embarrassedly said Minerva as she continued to pat Shiori's head.
Shiori looked up to see the Goddess residing inside her be embarrassed while trying to comfort her. It made her smile a little.
"Shi-Shiori..if you st-still have doubts.. Wh-Why do-don't you call Keima?" suddenly suggested Minerva.
Shiori's face suddenly redden as she thought "E-EEEH?...".

It's been so long since I written again, I blame by busy schedule...
But here is another Short chapter!... Hope you guys enjoy it!(I'm really sorry its short...)
This chapter is definitely opening up a lot of possibilities...hehe.
