We go back in time a bit, the Maormer Zelysy just had her Duel with Jurgen, both Duelists escaped the Earthbound Gods because the Duel ended in a draw.
Leo goes after the Dark Signer, he feels responsible since Zelysy got killed in a Duel against him.
44. Call From the Depths.
Leo was driving at top speed, he just got through that Blades HQ was attacked and Zelysy was the one who did it, without hesitating Leo decided to go after her.
'So since Zelysy is a Maormer my guess will be she goes towards the water, my guess is she will be at the docks.' Leo thought, the docks were pretty big if an Earthbound God would be summoned there the chances of casualties would be pretty slim.
Leo turned his D-Wheel into a side road this would be a shortcut to the docks, as he exited the small road he saw Zelysy she was driving a blue D-Wheel with an extended frame, yellow lines were painted on the sides, the lines resembled the lines the Earthbound Gods created when they were summoned, the D-Wheel had a large spoiler on the back.
Leo accelerated it was clear his D-Wheel was faster, he quickly managed to catch up with her, the Sea Elf looked back as she heard another D-Wheel approaching, a grin formed on her face as she saw Leo approaching.
Both Duelists were driving next to each other neither said a thing only the sound of their engines roaring broke the silence.
'You know Leo, you should have stayed away.' Zelysy finally said.
'Sorry can't do that, attacking our headquarters was foolish, how could you think you could get away with it?' Leo replied.
'Simple I didn't.' The Maormer bluntly replied: 'My only goal was to take out the embodiment of Akatosh, I couldn't kill him but he is recovering he won't be able to protect you from what's to come.'
Zelysy then took a turn towards the docks, Leo followed her.
'Leo, you satisfied me with our last Duel and I have no reason to kill you, back off now and I will leave you be.' Zelysy stopped her D-Wheel at the edge of the docks, she gazed over the water.
'You know I can't.' Leo said as he stopped next to her.
'Then you leave me no choice.' Zelysy replied as she initiated Speed World. 'Duel Mode on, auto pilot stand-by.' The computer voice said, the glow of Speed World appeared over the docks, Zelysy accelerated then sped off Leo closely following her.

'I shall take the first turn.' Zelysy said as she drew her opening hand.
'I Set one Monster.' The Sea Elf started, a hidden Monster briefly flashed on the Field next to her.
'Turn end.'
(Zelysy SPC: 1) - (Leo SPC: 1)
Leo scanned the docks, the last time he was here he had to Duel Shane, a Duelist who had used a Dark Synchro Shane and his Reactor Deck had left the docks in ruins, rebuilding of the docks hadn't started yet.
'At least it's abandoned here.' Leo muttered, he added a new card to his hand.
'Zelysy once I play my card there is no turning back, last warning.' Leo said, Zelysy looked behind her. 'Give me your best shot.' She replied.
'I Normal Summon Shura the Blue Flame.' Leo stated, running next to him appeared the lanky bird-man he spread his wings then took a leap and started to fly. (1800 ATK)
'Now that I control one Blackwing I Special Summon Bora the Spear.' The Blade continued, out of the sky dropped the vicious bird-man holding the spear-like drill in his hands. (1700 ATK)
'Trying to swarm the Field with Monsters, how typical of you Leo only shows you're a coward.' The Maormer taunted.
'Letting yourself in with a dark god is what I call being a coward, now Bora attacks!'
The Blackwing heaved it's drill then charged in, behind Zelysy appeared, a vicious-looking grizzly bear with green eyes, the Monster was fast asleep. (1000 DEF)
The Blackwing made short work of the creature.
'Bora deals Piercing Damage in case you didn't know.
(Zelysy: 7300) - (Leo: 8000)
'And you Leo destroyed my Mother Grizzly, when it is Destroyed I get to Special Summon a Water Monster with 1500 or less Attack Points from my Deck.' Zelysy explained, in a flash appeared a second Mother Grizzly behind her, this one was awake and standing on it's hind legs. (1400 ATK)
'Shura attacks!' Leo shouted, his second Blackwing charged in making quick work of the second Mother Grizzly, in a flash of light a third one appeared. (1400 ATK)
(Zelysy: 6900) - (Leo: 8000)
'Shura destroyed a Monster that means I can Special Summon a Blackwing from my Deck and I Special Summon Auster the South Wind.'
A small, yellow bird with red, white, pink and black wings appeared flying next to Leo's D-Wheel. (1300 ATK)
'Now I shall Set a card.' The Blade continued, briefly a reversed card appeared behind him before it disappeared.
'Next I Tune Level four Auster to Level four Bora!' Leo shouted, Auster changed into four rings.
'Black gales lead the way, ride the winds of freedom! Synchro Summon! Soar, Black-Winged Dragon!'
Leo's Signer Mark started to glow, the mark hidden under Zelysy's sleeve reacted, then a green glow enveloped the docks with a roar the Signer Dragon dropped down from the sky, it started to circle around the docks. (2800 ATK)
'Finally a taste of what the Crimson Dragon can really do, once this is over that power will be mine.' Zelysy said with a smile.

Zelysy drew her card, she accelerated Leo was in no hurry to follow her, suddenly the Maormer threw her steer to the right her D-Wheel took a sharp turn then Leo saw she held some kind of explosive in her hand, Leo looked at the docks up ahead he was about to pass under a crane, at that point Zelysy took a makeshift ramp her D-Wheel flew over the water for a few meter while in the air she threw the explosive, with a gigantic blast the bomb went off destroying the base of the crane Leo had to throw his D-Wheel on it's side so he could slide under the debris, the majority of the crane fell into the water, Zelysy who had landed on the other side of the docks slowed down to Leo's speed.
'Seems you got lucky this time, I have more of those explosives.'
She took a card from her hand: 'I send White Moray to the Graveyard so I can Special Summon White Stingray.'
The water started to ripple the white fish briefly surfaced. (1400 ATK)
Suddenly the sky turned dark on the horizon appeared the forms of Cusillu and Ccarayhua.
Zelysy started to laugh: 'Looks like the others are having fun, can't stay behind then!' She quickly played a card Mother Grizzly and White Stingray disappeared with a terrifying scream, the stone heart rose out of the water pulsating quickly.
'Drowning souls come together to feed the mighty beast! Arise from the dark, cold waters! Earthbound God Chacu Challhua!' Zelysy chanted, purple lines broke through the ground both Leo's Signer Mark and Zelysy's Dark Signer Mark started to throb and glow, the purple lines quickly formed the mark of the whale destroying most of the docks, where the lines hit the water tidal waves washed over the docks making it harder to drive, warehouses, trucks, cranes and containers were destroyed as they stood on the path of the lines, slowly the heart stopped pulsating with a terrifying cry out of the water surfaced the killer whale. (2900 ATK)
Leo stared at the Earthbound God, he knew this was coming but standing face-to-face with a creature like this, his entire body started to tremble.
'Chacu Challhua attack that Black-Winged Dragon!' Zelysy commanded.
'I activate Interdimensional Matter Transporter!' Leo shouted, his reversed card opened up, the weird device appeared on the Field, the Signer Dragon landed on top of it then disappeared.
'So you want to protect your dragon? Fine since the attack target disappeared a replay happens.' Zelysy said with a grin: 'Now I attack directly!' The killer whale disappeared under water, Leo's eyes scanned the surface then suddenly the Monster leaped out of the water Leo threw his D-Wheel on it's side to avoid the creature, the Earthbound God smashed onto the docks, it fired a laser out of it's maw before it disappeared back into the water, the back wheel of Leo's D-Wheel got hit, he spun out of control forced to slow down.

At that point Zelysy slowed down she moved left of Leo then shoved into him trying to push him into the water, Leo had to throw his D-Wheel into a drift, he kicked against the side of Zelysy's D-Wheel forcing her back a bit this way Leo finally managed to get his own D-Wheel straight.
'You're better than I thought.' Zelysy said, she took two cards from her hand. 'I shall Set this and end my turn.'
The card briefly appeared on the Field before it disappeared from view.
'Since it is the End Phase Black-Winged Dragon returns.' Leo said, the weird machine reappeared on the Field the Signer Dragon leaped off from it and the machine disappeared again. (2800 ATK)
(Zelysy SPC: 3) - (Leo SPC: 1)
Leo quickly drew his card.
'Since I control Shura I can Normal Summon Elphin the Raven without a Tribute.' Leo said, he placed the card on his Duel Disk with a screech appeared the monstrous half man half bird hybrid, it flew alongside Leo's D-Wheel. (2200 ATK)
'My Monsters attack directly!' Leo roared.
'I activate my Trap card!' Zelysy replied, her reversed card materialized on the Field: 'Quaking Mirror Force!'
The attacks of Leo's Monsters bounced off of a barrier.
'Now all your Monsters are changed to face-down defense position and they are forced to stay there.'
Leo growled something through his teeth as his Monsters disappeared three reversed cards appeared next to his D-Wheel for a few seconds.

'Chacu Challhua attack the most left Monster!' The Maormer laughed, one of Leo's reversed cards appeared and changed into Black-Winged Dragon, the Monster was shielding itself with it's wings. (1600 DEF)
The Earthbound God leaped out of the water again grabbing the poor dragon with it's gigantic maw before pulling it down in the cold water.
'I destroyed your Signer Dragon Leo! That was your last hope!' Zelysy laughed, then she placed another card on her Duel Disk, it appeared vertically in front of her D-Wheel before it turned invisible.
'That ends my turn, now let's see you struggle a bit more.'
(Zelysy SPC: 5) - (Leo SPC: 3)
'Darn my Monsters can't change their battle position.' Leo muttered he drew his card.
'Zelysy, you made a mistake, should have used the regular Mirror Force to wipe my Field.'
The Maormer slowed down so she was driving at Leo's speed.
'Could have done so, lots of cards that can negate destruction effects, with Quaking Mirror Force I don't have that problem.' Zelysy sounded really smug about it.
'Your mistake Zelysy, I can still use my Monsters as a Tribute.' As Leo said that he removed one card from his Duel Disk: 'I Advance Summon Sirocco the Dawn!'
Shura reappeared on the Field again suddenly the bird-man got swallowed by a tornado of black feathers when the storm subsided a monstrous bird-man had taken it's place, the Blackwing started to run alongside Leo's D-Wheel then it took to the sky. (2000 ATK)
The Duelists now had to get over a small bridge connecting two parts of the docks, this was mostly used as a shortcut for personnel, you could get around to the other side over the road, however the impassable purple lines the Earthbound God created forced them to go over the bridge, the Maormer looked behind her, Leo could see the grin on her face, Zelysy passed the bridge first then she threw another bomb on it.
Leo cursed loudly as the bridge snapped in half and fell into the water, only a small ramp remained, Leo had a split-second to decide, if he hit the brakes now he had lost the Riding Duel, instead he accelerated and took the ramp barely making it to the other side.
'Impressive.' Zelysy said with a smile: 'Now I get to torture you a little longer.'
Leo muttered something incoherent.
'Sirocco attacks directly!' The Blade shouted, his Blackwing gained some speed he flew over Zelysy slashing at her with it's talons as it passed her.

Zelysy slowed down as she lost some Speed Counters, once again she was at the same speed as Leo again.
'I like it Leo, you trying your best, thinking you might stand a chance, well from this turn forward my plan can really kick off, you already lost Leo so safe me the trouble of ending you and surrender.'
Leo accelerated and passed Zelysy: 'No chance, I'm ending this, can't have something as an Earthbound God running wild, I end my turn.'

Zelysy accelerated again gaining some distance between her and Leo, the Blade let his opponent gain some distance in case she would throw another one of her bombs.
'Chacu Challhua attack Sirocco!' Zelysy yelled, again the huge killer whale leaped to the surface pulling Leo's Monster under water.
(Zelysy: 4900) - (Leo: 4200)
'This is how I'm gonna win Leo, I realize the Earthbound Gods are double-edged swords, of course being able to attack directly with such high attack power is tempting, my opponent can do the same thing, leaving too many Monsters on your Field is a really quick way to lose the Duel, only attack directly when it is affordable, that's my play.' Zelysy said with a grin.
'Your strategy is solid, but as long as I can keep Summoning Monsters it will be a back and forth which in the end I will win because I can deal more damage than you, as long as you keep destroying my Monsters.' Leo replied.
'You've got a point there Leo, but that is where my Trap card comes in: Labyrinth of Nightmare!' A Continuous Trap card appeared floating next to Zelysy's D-Wheel.
'During the End Phase all Monsters that turn player controls are changed and I end my turn now.'
A loud cry sounded throughout the docks, Chacu Challhua surfaced it appeared to be resting. (1600 DEF)
(Zelysy SPC: 5) - (Leo SPC: 5)
'One problem there Zelysy having your Chacu Challhua in defense mode doesn't prevent me from dealing damage through a direct attack.' Leo stated.
'If you think you're right then come at me Leo.' Zelysy chuckled.
'I release Elphin the Raven so I can Advance Summon Assault Blackwing - Kunai the Drizzle!'
The last of Leo's Monsters that were affected by Quaking Mirror Force disappeared, in it's place appeared a humanoid crow-like creature donning ninja attire, around it's wing-like arms the Blackwing had two devices equipped loaded with five Kunai each. (2100 ATK)
'Kunai the Drizzle attack directly!' Leo shouted, the Blackwing simply ran alongside Leo's D-Wheel not even trying to attack.
Zelysy's laugh echoed over the docks.
'Oh didn't I tell you, as long as Chacu Challhua is in defense mode you cannot declare an attack at all!'
Zelysy gave Leo a few seconds to think about his situation: 'Now this Leo, is the brilliance of my strategy, thanks to Labyrinth of Nightmare my Chacu Challhua is changed to defense mode after each of my turns, now I can keep attacking directly without the dangers of you launching a counterattack!'
Leo cursed, he took two cards from his hand and placed them on the Duel Disk both appeared vertically next to his D-Wheel for a few seconds.
'I must end my turn.' He then said.
Kunai the Drizzle knelt down and shielded itself with it's Kunai launchers. (1600 DEF)

'I change my Chacu Challhua back to attack mode.' Zelysy said, her Earthbound God woke up from it's slumber. (2900 ATK)
'I activate Threatening Roar!' Leo roared, one of his two reversed cards opened up, the roar of a beast echoed over the docks.
'Since I cannot attack I use the Effect of Chacu Challhua, by not battling I can deal damage equal to half it's Defense Points.' Zelysy explained, the killer whale smashed it's gigantic tail into the water creating a small tidal wave, Leo's D-Wheel was pushed against the purple barrier quickly Leo threw his steer the other way, the part of his D-Wheel that hit the barrier was completely gone.
(Zelysy: 4900) - (Leo: 3400)
'Now I activate Speed Spell - Sonic Buster, when I have four or more Speed Counters I can deal damage equal to half the attack points of a Monster I control.' When Zelysy played the Spell card Chacu Challhua slammed it's tail in the water again, another tidal wave pushed Leo's D-Wheel against the barrier again this time part of the back of the chassis git destroyed, his back wheel was now dangerously close to breaking off.

'I activate another one!' Zelysy roared as she played a second Sonic Buster, another tidal wave hit Leo this time he had to catch the barrier with his front wheel, the D-Wheel bounced off the wall thats when Leo noticed he couldn't steer anymore, his front wheel was wobbling a bit as only the speed he had kept it in place.

'I end my turn.' The Maormer stated, her Earthbound God fell asleep again. (1600 DEF)
(Zelysy SPC: 7) - (Leo SPC: 5)
'Darn it, I can't steer, this is a straight part but when I reach the end of it I can't take the turn, then again I cannot attack because of Chacu Challhua's Effect Zelysy only has to activate the Effect that deals damage to end the Duel.'
Leo was about to give up, at that point his Signer Mark started to burn.
'No I won't give up, there is still a chance!' He roared then drew his card.
'I activate Call of the Haunted!' Leo bellowed, his second reversed card opened up, with a roar Black-Winged Dragon appeared. (2800 ATK)
'Nice try Leo, but the Effect of your Signer Dragon cannot protect you, don't forget my Earthbound God can also attack directly!' Zelysy laughed.
'That wasn't my aim Zelysy, but you'll see, now I Summon Oroshi the Squall!' Above Leo appeared the small Blackwing with it's red sack under it's throat. (400 ATK)
'Now I Tune Level one Oroshi to Level five Kunai the Drizzle!'
The small bird changed into one orb then the other Blackwing leaped through it, a green beam shot through the ring.
'Black gales lead the way, the black winged hunter descents! Synchro Summon! Blackwing Armed Wing!'
With a loud cry the red-haired bird-like man clad in black armor appeared it carried it's shotgun over it's shoulder. (2300 ATK)
'This is where the Effect of Oroshi activates! When used as a Synchro Material the battle position of a Monster on the Field changes!'
Chacu Challhua roared as it was woken up from it's slumber. (2900 ATK)
'Armed Wing attack!' Leo roared, the Blackwing loaded it's shotgun, then jumped at Zelysy and fired two shots that both hit her D-Wheel.
'Black-Winged Dragon finish this!' Leo roared.
'Damn you!' Zelysy cried as Black-Winged Dragon's storm of feathers hit the Dark Signer.
(Zelysy: 0) - (Leo: 500)
As soon as her Life Points hit zero Chacu Challhua let out a cry Leo rapidly approached the turn just in time the barriers disappeared, Leo noticed the back of his D-Wheel gave way, in a split-second Leo leaped off his D-Wheel he landed on the docks rolling a few times to break the fall, the back wheel broke catapulting the D-Wheel forward then the front wheel broke off his D-Wheel crashed onto the side of the docks where it exploded and landed in the water.
As Leo stood up he saw Zelysy had crashed as well, her D-Wheel was a burning pile of scrap as it crashed into the purple barrier before it had disappeared, Zelysy was lying at the edge of the docks.
'Jack.' Leo spoke through his pager: 'Zelysy is down, I repeat Zelysy is down.' Slowly he waled up to the Dark Signer as every part of his body was hurting.
Zelysy slowly stood up Leo saw it was hurting her a great deal.
'Stay down Zelysy, I call an ambulance.'
The Dark Signer laughed: 'You think I will make it? You know what happens when an Earthbound God is involved, the soul of the loser is sacrificed to the Earthbound God.' Zelysy spread her arms, Chacu Challhua let out a roar.
'I'm glad I got to Duel you again Leo, without holding back, maybe in another time we could have been friends.'
Leo started to run, he saw a tear welling up in Zelysy's eyes, then she let herself fall over the edge as she approached the water she slowly turned into dust.
'No!' Leo bellowed as he saw Zelysy fall, her Duel Disk laid on the docks in the burning wreckage of her D-Wheel, then Leo remembered the vial of sacred flames he got from Jack.
'You won't gobble down another soul today bastard!' Leo roared at the killer whale, the Earthbound God seemed to laugh at the Blade, Leo took the vial from his pocket and threw it at the Duel Disk, as the sacred sire lit up the card of the Earthbound God the creature let out a roar of pain, black mist disappeared into the sky as the flames licked at the card, the Earthbound God's scream filled the heavens as the once mighty beast slowly dissolved into a black mist.
In the distance Leo heard the sirens of Sector Security and an ambulance rapidly approaching, now that it was all over Leo finally collapsed on the docks.
A couple of hours later Leo slowly opened his eyes, he was lying in a comfortable bed in a small, warm room, the walls were painted white.
Leo looked around, Serana was sitting next to him in a comfortable chair she was asleep, the curtains were open through the window Leo saw the sun was setting.
Serana slowly opened her eyes without saying anything she hugged Leo then climbed next to him in the bed.
'What happened? Where are we?' Leo asked confused.
At that moment the door opened and Jack entered the room.
'We're in a building owned by the Blades, Jurgen had this place remodeled to be a hospital, there are strong wards around the place protecting this building from anything.' Jack calmly spoke as he sat down on the chair.
Leo tried to sit up, his body felt stiff.
'Please Leo, lay down you earned your rest, we all do we've won Leo, we did it.'
Serana softly forced Leo to lay down again: 'Tell me what happened Jack, why did other Earthbound Gods showed up?' He asked.
'After you left to chase Zelysy the four pillars were destroyed, Miraak's plan failed however Boris and Shaava tried to sacrifice innocent people, Carl and Nisha prevented that but...' Jack stopped he knew he didn't had to finish his sentence.
'They lost the Duel and got sacrificed to the Earthbound Gods.' Leo said, he was thinking back to what happened to Zelysy.
'So now what?' Leo asked.
'Well there are still five escapees left, I believe that Empress went with Miraak to a Daedric Realm to recover her power, if Miraak has access to a Daedric Realm he must have a base, Cid will be there since he is frail, Ren and Kenny are out there but we haven't found them and I am afraid of what Sara will do, then we have Arenin a Wood Elf Spinner and a Dark Signer Kailyn is trying to figure out how to deal with him, Juliet and Ravin are after Boris and Shaava, we don't know where Miraak is and there hasn't been a sign of the last two Earthbound Gods Assla Piscu and Wiraqocha Rasca and I like to keep it that way.' Jack explained.
'So it's just cleaning up the mess Miraak created and then finish off Miraak and find whoever is behind all this.'
Suddenly the ground started to shake violently Jack rushed to the window to see what's happening, when he looked outside he cursed loudly, in the middle of the city appeared a gigantic structure out of the ground destroying buildings around it, it looked like a gigantic temple build around a black pillar, it resembled the four pillars Miraak had summoned earlier only this one was at least twice as big, in front of the pillar Jack could see a small figure standing on top of a hovering platform.
