Series 1, Episode 40~ House of Time

The houses shaking was scary, but what was worse was the deadly silence that fell once it was over. It was quickly agreed that the Sibuna meeting was over for the night as everyone was way too spooked to do much else.

It was Trudy that brought up the weirdness at breakfast the next day, so any hopes Camilla had of it all being some awful nightmare of her's where thrown out a window. "Did you feel that little earthquake we had last night?" the house mother as everyone as she poured out the orange juice to those she knew had it.

"That was no earthquake," Alfie informed their house mother, "it was defiantly an alien mothership taking off." This caused an amused smile from Trudy as she walked back into the kitchen, "Patricia believes me!" Alfie exclaimed as he looked around at the sleepy amused faces of his housemates, clearly, none of them believed him, "tell them, Trisha," Alfie turned to look at Patricia expectantly.

"Sure..." Patricia agreed with him half-heartedly, though this seemed enough for Alfie who grinned at her before running out the room excitedly.

The moment he was out the door Fabian turned to Nina, whispering loudly enough so Camilla and Amber could hear too, "So I've been thinking about the puzzle pieces. And how Sarah's numbers open it..."

Before he could continue Amber interrupted not looking happy at all, "Whoa... rewind." She demanded causing them all to look at her angry but beautiful face, "you opened another puzzle piece?"

Nina was quick to hush the girl as Fabian, Camilla and Patricia looked around. It would be their luck that Victor finds out they stole the pieces back because Amber was mad.

"Without me? So rude." Amber concluded.

"As I was saying before I got interrupted," Fabian pointedly started again looking at Amber as if to hint to her not to interrupt again.

Of course, Amber didn't get Fabian's hint and said, "I can't believe you did that without me?! And you let them, Cam?! Rude. Again."

"The 5th puzzle piece looks exactly the same, so are we assuming Sarah's numbers open that one too?" Fabian rushed as if he was trying to get what he wanted to ask the group out before Amber interrupted him – again.

"Maybe we shouldn't try it," Patricia pipped up from the end of the table looking a little nervous, "those noises terrified me."

"Hang on," Amber spoke up looking around at them all, "noises? You mean that wasn't an earthquake?" she asked brandishing her lip gloss at Camilla and Fabian as if daring them to lie to her.

Camilla sent her a sympathetic smile and shook her head, "Sorry Ambs, that was all the weirdness of Sibuna."

"What did you do with the riddle?" Fabian asked Nina, seeing that Camilla was taking over Amber control. Nina quickly pulled it out of her bag that she had hung on the back of the dining room chair.

"Riddle? What Riddle?" Amber demanded looking from the twins to Patricia. "We have another Riddle?"

"Amber!" Patricia finally spoke up as Camilla wasn't doing anything to help, from the way the small twin was smiling over her teacup Camilla seemed to be getting amusement from the blonde's confusion and annoyance. "Will you please stop repeating everything?" Patricia moaned to the blonde beauty.

"Well, no one tells me anything apparently!" Amber accused them all.

"We're tell you now!" Camilla countered with a smile before turning her attention – and Ambers – to Nina who had unfolded the Riddle and handed it to Fabian to read aloud.

"My Fathers Father stands tall, his face and hands together turn circle around Isis and Osiris and Horus, the son reveals me." As he finished he looked around to see the confused faces of everyone else, "I thought these things were getting easier..."

"I don't know what riddles you've been solving but they have defiantly been getting harder Fabby," Camilla grumbled. It was too early in the morning for a riddle and her brain hurt already trying to figure out what the hell it meant.

The riddle plagued her mind on her walk to school and through the first few classes, she knew they needed to figure it out fast as Patricia and Amber where just back on the team she didn't want to lose them again.

What stopped her thought was when she walked into the hallway to see Mara stood between Jerome and Alfie laughing with them. Camilla wasn't sure what took over her but a wave of sadness washed over her as she watched them talk – it was as if the boy's had replaced her with Mara of all people. She knew she had been spending a lot more time with Fabian and the others but she didn't think it affected her boys that much they'd replace her. She bit her lip and pulled the folder she had for her French class to her chest watching Alfie run off and Amelia run after her, a small smile gracing her face as she watched him dive into the boy's toilets to hide. She turned back around and saw Jerome and Mara very close next to the lockers... it seemed as if she was watching a private moment causing her to force herself to move down the hallway and past them – hearing Jerome asking Mara out for lunch – trying not to succumb to the tears wanting to fall even if she had no idea why. Had the mystery caused her to lose the two people she loved the most after her brother? If it had she wasn't sure if it was worth it any more.

Unknown to Camilla her feet had a mind of their own, and at that moment she knew she just needed somewhere to hide and let out all the built-up feelings she had without Fabian worrying about her. She was sick of worrying about whatever magic she seemed to have and trying to not hurt anyone, she was worried about this mystery as the clues seemed to be getting harder and the stakes more and more dangerous especially with Rufus out there, she knew Victor was hiding something and the thing with Joy was all some massive lie but she didn't know how to prove it. Then there was the whole Isis Pendant, she knew Sarah said she had to find her's but what did Isis have to do with her? and she couldn't just take the thing from Victor he had said it was a family heirloom and then dealing with Fabiana drama, all Amber's drama, her feelings for Alfie and then now all her feelings of being replaced... Camilla didn't realise she was sat on top of the tumble dryer crying until Trudy wandered in.

"Oh, sweetie..."Trudy said softly, taking in the unusual sight. Camilla was normally the one looking after everyone else so she knew the girl was due a breakdown soon as she didn't like to burden anyone with her issues.

"Oh Trudy," Camilla sniffed, wiping her face, "I'm sorry I didn't mean too..."

"Oh hush Cam," Trudy moved forward and hugged the girl, "what's the matter now?"

Camilla took the hug from her house mother and tried to not laugh at her question, how was she meant to answer that? She didn't want Trudy to get in trouble again and she didn't want to get her friends in trouble either. Camilla let out a shaky sigh and smile weakly at Trudy, "Boy troubles..." she muttered, she wasn't lying to her housemother just not saying the whole truth, "pathetic I know but..."

"Oh the matters of the heart are never pathetic lovely," Trudy wiped the tears off Camilla's face and looked the girl in the eye, "Sweetheart, I won't ask any details or names but, let me tell you something, you fall in love more than once. It will happen and it will be just as amazing as the first time," Camilla couldn't help but smile at the advice, it helped her heart a little. At that moment she could feel that the last part of her heart that held onto Alfie leave. She would always love him, he was her best friend and that would never change, but if he was happy she could be happy moving on with her life. Finding someone who would make her as happy as Amber would make Alfie – if they ever got together.

Trudy saw the girl's shoulder's lift as if a weight had come off the girl's shoulders and shared a smile with the small girl. "Thank you, Trudy," Camilla whispered and the house mother beamed.

"No problem sweetheart, now how about we keep this between me and you," Trudy whispered.

"I'd love that." Camilla honestly replied.

"And I'll phone Mr Sweet and get you off the afternoon classes saying your ill," Trudy added causing Camilla to laugh, "a little TV time and some of the good ice cream we hide at the back of the freezer will help you feel better I think." Trudy seemed to nod as decide that was going to be what the plan was. "No go get changed out your uniform and I'll phone Mr Sweet."

Camilla allowed herself to be pulled from the little washer room and up the stairs where Trudy pushed the girl into the corridor where her room was before bustling over to Victor's office where she could phone Mr Sweet.

As Camilla wandered back onto the landing, in loose joggers and a Hoodie of Jerome's she glanced downstairs she saw her brother race into the house looking out of breath. "What on earth are you up to Fabian?" she whispered to herself, as she headed down the stairs watching her brother look at the old grandfather clock and talk to himself. She glanced to the door and saw Alfie lurking in the open frame stopping her from going down any further.

"Okay," Muttered to himself, "Father's Father stands tall," Camilla finally got the grandfather clock, "his face and hands together turn circle around Isis and Osiris and Horus, the son reveals me" Fabian recited by heart.

"The triangle," the twins whispered in unison, their years of unwanted knowledge coming to use finally.

"90 degree's" Fabian smiled before putting his hand to the clock as if checking it out. "3 O'clock." Quickly Fabian opened the clock face and Camilla assumed he was turning the hands of the clock to 3, or that was his plan as he suddenly looked horrified as he pulled a hand away from the clock. Camilla actually facepalmed, of course, her brother would break the ancient clock in the house. Of course.

"Who's there?" Victor called from the upper landing, causing Camilla to panic and run back up the stairs to her room hoping her brother had the sense to run. "Trudy?" thankfully Camilla slipped into the girl's corridor just as Victor left his office. Camilla waited until she heard the office door shut again before slipping out – seeing Nina and Fabian in the hallway and running down to join them.

"You better not be breaking the clock again Fabby," Camilla said as a way of announcing her arrival causing the two to jump.

"What? No!" Fabian quickly said before turning back to the clock, "3 O'clock." This time with more ease and a gentler hand Fabian turned the clock hands to 3. Causing a panel at the top to open, but it was empty.

"It's empty!" Camilla groaned.

"I think it's time for another Sibuna meeting, don't you think?" Nina said to the twins a knowing look in her eye. Neither twin could argue with her.

Of course, their meeting couldn't take place till classes where done, but the moment the class bell ran, Nina, Fabian, Amber and Patricia raced back to the house and into the girl's bedroom where Camilla was sat on her bed.

"How did you get out of classes today?" Patricia demanded of her but Camilla just rolled her eyes and ignored her as they had other things to deal with. "So what's so urgent?" Patricia asked of Nina and Fabian.

"We need to talk." Nina said, "About the house, the relic, the earthquake..."

Before Nina could say anything more Alfie came barging in holding Victors Punishment toothbrush aloft, "I knew it!" He said, "what do you know about the relic and the quakes?" he demanded. "Where have they come from?" When none of them said anything he added, "Or will I just ask Victor where they've come from?"

This caused Camilla to speak up, "Alfie! Look the thing is you where right..." Camilla paused and looked at everyone, "you've been right all along."

Fabian finally clued into what Camilla was hinting at and added, "the thing you found was real Alian artefact. And we're scared Aliens may have infiltrated the school." This caused Nina, Amber and Patricia to nod along as Alfie seemed to believe them.

"We don't know who they are, what they want or if they want to harm us," Camilla told her friend. "Right guys?"

"Yeah!" Nina was quick to say

"totally," Came from Amber.

"exactly!" was Patricia's response.

"Its really, really important that we keep this to ourselves." Fabian insisted.

"Well how about I do some research?" Alfie asked, "see what we need to do to protect ourselves."

"Yeah!" Fabian agreed, "That's a great idea!" He said pushing the boy from the room. "And take all the time you need." The door shut behind him and Patricia sat down on Nina's bed.

"Aww I feel really bad," She told them. "He's been so nice to me in the last few days."

"You are mean, but I was mean that's unusual," Amber added causing Patricia to pull at the face at her.

"We're protecting him." Fabian argued, "it's better that he spills some story about aliens than about the you know what... "They couldn't help but agree with Fabian on that.

"Okay guys," Nina spoke upbringing the topic back to the meeting, "can we get back to the reason we called this meeting in the first place? The puzzle piece we found in Victor's safe, I think maybe that was the one that was hidden in the clock." Nina explained to them causing the twins to make faces of realisation. It made so much sense that being the case.

"Which explains why it wasn't there," Fabian agreed with the girl.

"Yeah," Nina smiled, "but I don't think Victor managed to open it and find what was inside." she told them, "because he wouldn't have known the numbers."

"Sarah's numbers?" Fabian asked and Nina shook her head.

"Your numbers," Camilla said for Nina. She didn't know how she knew that was true but there was something in her gut telling her it was, however as Camilla said that the house started to shake.

"Okay, Sibuna clubs back on!" Amber said looking around the room in fear.

Before they could try out Nina's numbers Trudy called them all down for dinner, and due to chores and Alfie, they didn't get a chance to try it out till well after lights out.

Sat in a circle on the floor they all looked at one another, "Okay," Nina softly said, "I don't know what's going to happen when I open this, and who am I kidding its probably going to be pretty horrible, so I just want to make sure are we all still on board?"

"Always," Camilla instantly said to Nina, with Fabian nodding along with his sister.

"Sibuna?" Fabian said, getting a response from everyone looking a little fearful but ready to find out what was going on.

Nina picked up the puzzle piece and started to put her numbers into it. "11, 07," she whispered as around them the house started to make strange noises, "07, 19, 95"

They all flinched waiting for the worst but... Nothing happened.

"Wow, that was much less scary than I thought." Nina joked.

"Is that it?" Patricia moaned. "do you think Victor did open it and seal it back up again?" she asked, but the twin's focus was on the walls around them. Camilla put her hand to the floor the house was awake, she could feel the energy running through it, it felt like it was trying to talk to her.

"Show me," Camilla whispered.

"Guys..." Fabian said in a terrified voice pointing behind them causing them all to turn and let out a terrified gasp.
