"Let's start, shall we?"
"Yes we shall!" Primo grinned.
"DUEL!"
"Since you defeated Jack, I get the first move!" Akiza announced. "Draw!" (Akiza's hand: 6 cards. Akiza's LP: 4000. Primo's hand: 4 cards. Primo's LP: 4000. Akiza/Primo's SpC: 4.)
Alright. Jack left me with Red Nova Dragon and 1 face-down card. Akiza thought. If I play my hand right, I can defeat Primo right here!
"I'll start my turn off by Normal Summoning Twilight Rose Knight!" Akiza announced. The purple armored knight appeared onto Akiza's field; next to Red Nova Dragon. (Twilight Rose Knight, Level 3 DARK Warrior-type Tuner monster, ATK/DEF: 1000. Akiza's hand: 5 cards. Akiza's LP: 4000. Primo's hand: 4 cards. Primo's LP: 4000. Akiza/Primo's SpC: 4.) "And due to Twilight Rose Knight's effect, I can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Plant monster from my hand. So I Special Summon Time Reverse Rose!" A rose with a clock in its center appeared onto Akiza's field. (Time Reverse Rose, attribute: LIGHT, type: Plant, Level 4, ATK/DEF: 100/2000. Akiza's hand: 4 cards. Akiza's LP: 4000. Primo's hand: 4 cards. Primo's LP: 4000. Akiza/Primo's SpC: 4.)
"Time Reverse Rose." Aura remarked with a hum. "And with it, the added total is 7."
"Actually Aura, Akiza used Time Reverse Rose on you." Crow remembered. "But you're right, the total Levels is 7."
"So will Akiza Synchro Summon or not?" Leo wondered aloud.
"Depends on her battle strategy." Aura replied, a hand to her head. "Jack left her Red Nova and a face-down, plus there's the Meklord to worry about. The next few turns will be critical."
"Yeah." Crow nodded.
"Primo! I'm going to shatter your Meklord Emperor without the use of my Accel Synchro!" Akiza vowed.
"Hoh? And how do you plan to do that?" Primo inquired. Instead of answering, Akiza raised her right arm upwards.
"I tune my Level 3 Twilight Rose Knight with my Level 4 Time Reverse Rose!" Akiza announced. Her 2 monsters turned into 7 white stars that soared into the green pillar of light. Shortly after, Akiza began to chant. "Rose of another world bloom under the moonlight to face the enemy of the future! Synchro Summon! Appear now! Level 7! Black Rose Dimension Knight!" Out of the green pillar of light came forth a futuristic female armored knight. The female knight unsheathed her sword and went into an offensive stance. (Black Rose Dimension Knight, attribute: DARK, type: Warrior/Synchro, Level 7, ATK/DEF: 2500/2100. Akiza's hand: 4 cards. Akiza's LP: 4000. Primo's hand: 4 cards. Primo's LP: 4000. Akiza/Primo's SpC: 4.)
"Ahh…..so you Synchro Summoned too….." Primo mused before his lips formed a dark smile. "Good! Next turn I'll absorb it!" However, Akiza just smiled.
"Sorry to disappoint you, but that's not happening!" Akiza gestured to her Black Rose Dimension Knight. "Black Rose Dimension Knight's effect! If this card is Synchro Summoned, I can banish 1 card on the field! Then if it's a monster, I take damage equal to half its ATK!"
"Eh?! She'll take damage?!" Leo panicked.
"But it's worth it in banishing Meklord." Aura pointed out.
"Actually you 2, I'll take 0 damage if it's a monster with ? or 0 ATK/DEF!" Akiza corrected. "And Meklord Emperor Wisel Infinity starts at 0 ATK/DEF!" She then pointed at Meklord Emperor Wisel Infinity. "Now begone Meklord Emperor!" Black Rose Dimension Knight pointed her sword at Meklord Emperor Wisel's body. Meklord Emperor Wisel Infinity began to glow a dark purple.
"I get it!" Luna snapped her fingers. "By removing Wisel Infinity from the field, Primo's Meklord Emperor will be destroyed!"
"And there's more to it." Bruno smiled, checking his computer of Black Rose Dimension Knight. "WIth this effect, cards with the same name as the banished monster through this card's effect can't be used for the rest of the duel."
"Yaha!" Leo cheered. "See ya Meklord Emperor!" Primo looked at the set cards Lester had left on the field. He was extremely tempted to play them, but he relented.
These must be saved for the climax. Primo thought as his Meklord Emperor Wisel Infinity vanished from his field; thus the other parts shattered.
"Now that you're defenseless, Red Nova Dragon attacks you directly!" Akiza announced. "Go Burning Soul!" Red Nova Dragon turned into a flaming version of itself and struck Primo. As the smoke cleared, Primo's LP fell to 0. After that, Infinite Aura gained an additional 40 counters; thus putting it at 80 counters.
"Yeah Akiza!" Leo cheered. Luna however, was frowning.
"It's wonderful that Akiza won and all, but that seemed way too easy." Luna frowned deeply. The young female Signer turned to Yusei and Aura. "Tell me I'm not the only one that thought that was way too easy."
"You're not." Aura frowned.
"I agree Luna." Yusei frowned deeply. "Are these guys really fighting back? Or are they toying with us?"
"No. They're obviously planning something." Aura frowned. "The Infinite Aura… Those face-downs, and that's not even the worst bit."
"What could be worse?!" Leo gaped.
"Their last rider is no doubt the leader of their trio. And there's no data on his own Meklord." Aura explained, her face pale and pained. "This can be even more dangerous than dueling that Primo…"
Primo made it back to his team's pit and handed Jakob the team's sticker.
"Here." Primo grunted.
"Thanks Primo. Your work will not be wasted." Jakob told him. "Now off I go!" Instead of going to the team's pit to get on his D-Wheel, he began to run onto the duel track; his D-Wheeler following him.
"What's that guy doing?!" Crow gaped.
"Doesn't he need like, a D-Wheel?" Leo wondered.
"I've seen this before." Yusei noted with a frown. "He's going to combine with his D-Wheel."
"Hahahaha! That's right Yusei Fudo!" Jakob revealed as his D-Wheel was now alongside him now. "Playtime is over! Time for the climax! Everything you cherish shall shatter before your very eyes!" After he finished talking, he jumped into the air. Wires launched out of Jakob's D-Wheel and attached into the plugs that appeared out of Jakob's body. Soon after, his body connected to D-Wheel and his duel disk activated.
"Like I thought." Yusei frowned deeply. After he said that, 2 white rings appeared making the infinite symbol before vanishing.
"Wait! These are-!" Akiza began.
"The rings that make damage real, yes." Jakob remarked. "Are you frightened young Signer?"
"No way!" Akiza shot back.
"You should be." Jakob told Akiza in a warning tone. "It's my turn! Draw!" (Akiza's hand: 4 cards. Akiza's LP: 4000. Jakob's hand: 6 cards. Jakob's LP: 4000. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 5.) Jakoba grabbed a card from his hand. "I Normal Summon Gran Core to my field!" A small earthly core monster appeared onto his field. (Gran Core, Level 1 EARTH Machine-type monster, ATK/DEF: 0. Akiza's hand: 4 cards. Akiza's LP: 4000. Jakob's hand: 5 cards. Jakob's LP: 4000. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 5.)
"The 3rd core." Akiza noted.
"That's right." Jakob replied. "Next I activate Explosive Blast! Thanks to this card, I can destroy up to 3 Machine monsters on the field, granted they haven't attacked this turn. And for each one destroyed by this effect, you take 400 points of damage!" Gran Core exploded and Akiza cried out as a result. (Akiza's LP: 4000 - 400 = 3600. Akiza's hand: 4 cards. Akiza's LP: 3600. Jakob's hand: 5 cards. Jakob's LP: 4000. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 5.)
"And since Gran Core was destroyed via an effect, you can-" Akiza began.
"That's right! Bring forth Meklord Emperor Granel Infinity, Granel Top, Granel Carrier, Granel Attack, and Granel Guard!" Jakob clenched his right hand into a fist and raised his right arm upward as the 5 pieces appeared. "These 5 piecec combine to form Meklord Emperor Granel!" (Meklord Emperor Granel Infinity, Level 1 EARTH Machine-type monster, ATK/DEF: 0. Granel Attack: Attribute: EARTH, Type: Machine/Effect, Level: 1, ATK/DEF: 1300/0, Granel Carrier: Attribute: EARTH, Type: Machine/Effect, Level: 1,ATK/DEF: 700. Granel Guard: Attribute: EARTH, Type: Machine/Effect, Level: 1, ATK/DEF: 500/1000, Granel Top: ATK/DEF: 500/0. Meklord Emperor Granel, Level 1 EARTH Machine-type monster, ATK/DEF: 4000. "4000 ATK/DEF?!" Akiza gaped.
"Granel Infinity's ATK is equal to that of my Life Points." Jakob explained. "And speaking of Life Points, I activate the Takeover Speed Spell! By destroying Infinite Aura, I gain LP equal to the numbers of Aura Counters this card gained throughout this duel x100!"
"What?!" Leo gaped in surprise.
"80 Counters were gained throughout the duel." Luna calculated as her eyes widened. "So that means…!"
"8000 more LP for Jakob." Yusei finished with a deep frown.
"Tch….!" Akiza gritted her teeth as Infinite Aura and Jakob's body glowed a dark purple; thus his LP rose up to 12,000. (Akiza's hand: 4 cards. Akiza's LP: 3600. Jakob's hand: 5 cards. Jakob's LP: 12,000. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 5.)
"Which means Meklord Emperor Granel's ATK become 12,000 as well!" Jakob announced.
"12,000 LP, 12,000 ATK…!" Leo gaped, horrified.
"Not good!" Crow spoke. "One hit and it's over for Akiza!"
"And not just for the duel, she won't be able to make it out of there unharmed…!" Aura paled.
"Now Granel, attack Black Rose Dimension Knight!" Jakob declared.
"Hold on! I activate her effect to banish Granel Infinity from the field!" Akiza countered.
"Not this time you can't!" Jakob shot back. "Due to Granel Top's effect, your Synchro monster's effects are negated!"
"No!" Akiza watched in horror as Black Rose Dimension Knight greyed out.
"My attack continues!" Jakob spoke. Granel Attack raised its cannon arm and fired a blast at Black Rose Dimension Knight. "Go Final Bombardment!" The blast connected and obliterated Black Rose Dimension Knight. Akiza screamed as the attack burnt her suit.
"I-I activated Half Counter!" Akiza revealed. "Because of this, Black Rose Dimension gained half your Infinity's ATK! Which is 6000!"
"How bothersome." Jakob rolled his eyes as the smoke cleared. Akiza and her D-Wheel slightly burnt. (Akiza's LP: 3600 - 3500 = 100. Akiza's hand: 4 cards. Akiza's LP: 100. Jakob's hand: 5 cards. Jakob's LP: 12,000. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 5.) "So you survived my attack. Then I'll just absorb your Synchro monster!" Green wires extended out of Granel Infinity and a Graveyard Portal appeared; thus pulling Black Rose Dimension Knight out of the Graveyard and into his body. "Because of this, Granel gains ATK equal to that of your Synchro monsters! Which means Granel has 14,500 ATK!"
"That may be." Akiza remarked as she brushed debris off her suit. "But after Black Rose Dimension Knight fell, her effect activated! Now I gain 1000 LP for each Black Rose and Rose card in either my hand, field, or Graveyard! There's 2 in my Graveyard and 2 in my hand. So I gain 4000 LP!" Akiza's body glowed green as her LP rose up to 4100. (Akiza's hand: 4 cards. Akiza's LP: 4100. Jakob's hand: 5 cards. Jakob's LP: 12,000. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 5.)
"She managed to regain her LP, but with the situation she's in…" Bruno began, worried.
"She'll need to play it safe." Crow finished.
"But if she does that, then she'll be focusing on protecting Red Nova Dragon. Which would prevent her from advancing any further." Yusei spoke with a frown.
"So what should she do?" Luna wondered.
"She has to get rid of Granel, but because of Granel Top, she can't use the effects of her Synchro monsters. And that's just one of the 5 pieces. The other 4 must have different effects that can counter her moves." Aura frowned.
"Granel Guard is the easiest to figure out." Crow noted. "Like Wisel Guard, Granel Guard can redirect an attack to it."
"But the other 3 are a mystery." Bruno frowned.
"I place 1 card face-down and end my turn." Jakob finished. (Akiza's hand: 4 cards. Akiza's LP: 4100. Jakob's hand: 4 cards. Jakob's LP: 12,000. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 5.)
"My turn! Draw!" Akiza declared. (Akiza's hand: 5 cards. Akiza's LP: 4100. Jakob's hand: 4 cards. Jakob's LP: 12,000. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 6.) Akiza looked at the card she drew and smiled. "Yes! I activate the Speed Spell - Synchro Emergence! Now by returning Red Nova Dragon to my Extra Deck, I can Special Summon 1 Synchro monster from either my Extra or Graveyard that has a Level less than or equal to Red Nova Dragon's Level!"
"Since Red Nova is Level 12, that means Akiza can Special Summon practically any Synchro monster from her Extra Deck." Bruno remarked.
"Yaha!" Leo cheered.
There's only 1 Synchro monster I want. Akiza thought as she skimmed through her Extra Deck before grabbing one.
"I Special Summon Black Rose Dragon!" Akiza declared. The black thorned rose dragon appeared Akiza's field. (Black Rose Dragon, Level 7 FIRE Dragon-type Synchro monster, ATK/DEF: 2400/1800. Akiza's hand: 4 cards. Akiza's LP: 4100. Jakob's hand: 4 cards. Jakob's LP: 12,000. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 6.)
"Ah...Black Rose Dragon; your ace monster." Jakob noted before chuckling. "You can't help but use Synchro monsters, can you? You're just leading this world towards its imminent destruction by using Synchro monsters."
"Yeah? And Synchro monsters are gonna kick your ass!" Akiza shot back. Jakob remained silent as Akiza activated the Blossoming Rose Trap card from her hand by paying half her LP. "Thanks to this card, I now shall bring out the Synchro Tuner monster, Red Rose Maiden!" A red flower-dressed maiden appeared onto Akiza's field next to Black Rose Dragon. (Red Rose Maiden, attribute: DARK, type: Plant/Synchro/Tuner, ATK/DEF: 1600/2400. Akiza's hand: 3 cards. Akiza's LP: 2050. Jakob's hand: 4 cards. Jakob's LP: 12,000. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 6.)
"She has Black Rose Dragon and Red Rose Maiden!" Luna smiled.
"And we all know what that means!" Leo grinned.
"Accel Synchro time!" Crow smiled.
"I activate Red Rose Maiden's effect!" Akiza announced. "Now by sending Red Rose Dragon from my Deck to the Graveyard, I reduce my Maiden's Level by 3!" As soon as Red Rose Maiden's Level decreased by 3, Akiza sped ahead, her D-Wheel's speed increasing tremendously before she vanished. A moment later, she appeared out of a green light behind Jakob and sped past him, much to his surprise. Rose Pulsar Dragon floating above Akiza. (Rose Pulsar Dragon, attribute: FIRE, type: Dragon/Synchro, Level 9, ATK/DEF: 3200/2400. Akiza's hand: 3 cards. Akiza's LP: 2050. Jakob's hand: 4 cards. Jakob's LP: 12,000. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 6.)
"And there it is ladies and gentlemen! Akiza's newest ace monster, Rose Pulsar Dragon!" MC announced, causing the crowd to cheer.
"Now she might just get the edge she needs." Bruno smiled.
"Rose Pulsar Dragon's effect!" Akiza announced. "Upon her Synchro Summon, the effects of your cards are negated until the End Phase!"
"Now with this, Granel's effects are negated!" Leo grinned.
"That's true Leo." Luna agreed before she frowned. "But Meklord Emperor Granel Infinity's effect is continuous, so it keeps the 12,000 ATK."
"But it does lose Black Rose Dimension Knight as an equip card." Crow pointed out. Yusei watched, his lips slowly forming a smile.
"You guys will like what's going to come next." Yusei smiled.
"Let's see." Aura remarked.
Akiza grabbed another card from her hand and played it into her duel disk.
"I activate the Speed Spell - Bond of the Synchro Summon!" Akiza announced as a card with all the Signer Dragons in the card's artwork. "With this card, I can declare 1 card name. After that, I can equip that declared card's name to a monster I control. In this case, Rose Pulsar Dragon. Also, the effects of the equipped card are transferred to the monster equipped with it!"
"Any card you say?" Jakob raised an eyebrow before he chuckled. "Very well Akiza Izinski. Then go ahead! Declare a card name!"
"I will!"
I know exactly what card name I'm declaring. Akiza thought as she skimmed through her Extra Deck; not even looking at the cards.
"The card name I declare is…...Shooting Star Dragon!"
"Eh?!" Leo and Crow gaped.
"Brother, how smart of you." Aura remarked with a light smile. Yusei glanced at his sister and nodded.
"I have faith in Akiza to win this." Yusei told her with a smile on his lips.
"Heh. And that faith is well placed." Aura replied.
"Sh-Shooting Star Dragon?!" Lester gaped at the screen. "Akiza Izinski can't Summon that!"
"Yusei Fudo gave her that card for this very moment." Primo gnashed his teeth.
"Humph. I must admit that you and Yusei Fudo thought this far in advance." Jakob admitted. "But even so, you will not win!"
"We'll see about that!" Akiza shot back the cosmic dragon equipped itself to Rose Pulsar Dragon like armor. Akiza then swiped her right arm from left to right. "I activate Rose Pulsar Dragon's effect that it gained from Shooting Star Dragon! I get to look at the top 5 cards of my Deck; then for each Tuner monster I find, Rose Pulsar Dragon gains 1 additional attack!"
"So if you manage to get 5 Tuners, Rose Pulsar Dragon can attack 5 times." Jakob noted. "Humph. The more you push, the harder the future pushes back!"
"Shut up!" Akiza snapped. "The future's not set! And I'll prove it to you now!" Akiza placed her right hand ontop of her Deck and she looked down at it. Her right eye glowed as she saw the first card and drew. "The 1st card is a Tuner monster! Glow-Up Bulb!" She drew again. "The 2nd card; is another Tuner monster! Spore!" She drew a 3rd time. "The 3rd card is yet another Tuner monster! Green Rose Dragon!" She drew a 4th time. "The 4th card is another Tuner monster! Soul Rose!" She closed her eyes and drew for the 5th and last time. She then opened her eyes and looked at the card she drew. "The 5th card…..is another Tuner monster! Red Rose Dragon!"
"Akiza has miraculously drawn 5 Tuners! So now Rose Pulsar Dragon can attack 5 times!" MC exclaimed, a stunned expression on his face. The audience began to cheer wildly from Akiza's miracle.
"Hmm…" So 5 attacks you get." Jakob mused before he spread his arms out. "Very well Akiza Izinski! Come at me with everything you got!"
"Consider it done!" Akiza declared as she thrusted her right hand forward. "Battle! Rose Pulsar Dragon, attack Granel Attack first! Rose Pulse!" Rose Pulsar' Dragon charged with rose colored energy before unleashing a beam of energy at the arm before destroying it. Jakob grunted as he took the damage. (Jakob's LP: 12,000 - 1900 = 10,100. Meklord Emperor Granel's ATK: 10,100. Akiza's hand: 2 cards. Akiza's LP: 2050. Jakob's hand: 4 cards. Jakob's LP: 12,000. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 6.)
"Check it out! Granel's points are lower now!" Leo pointed out.
"Yup. And they're gonna keep getting lower." Bruno smiled.
"Rose Pulsar attacks Granel Carrier next!" Akiza announced. Another beam of rose-colored energy was fired from the dragon's mouth; thus destroying Granel Carrier. Jakob tched at not only losing 4 Spell/Traps, but at him taking even more damage. (Jakob's LP: 10,100 - 2500 = 7600. Akiza's hand: 2 cards. Akiza's LP: 2050. Jakob's hand: 4 cards. Jakob's LP: 7600. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 6. Meklord Emperor Granel's ATK: 7600.)
"The 3rd attack is on Granel Guard!" The other arm shattered from the next energy beam from Rose Pulsar. (Jakob's LP: 7600 - 2200 = 5400. Akiza's hand: 2 cards. Akiza's LP: 2050. Jakob's hand: 4 cards. Jakob's LP: 5400. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 6. Meklord Emperor Granel's ATK: 5400.)
"The 4th attack on Granel Top!" A 4th beam was blasted from Rose Pulsar's mouth and destroyed Meklord Emperor Granel's head. This left the poor Meklord Emperor with just its body. (Jakob's LP: 5400 - 2700 = 2700. Akiza's hand: 2 cards. Akiza's LP: 2050. Jakob's hand: 4 cards. Jakob's LP: 2700. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 6. Meklord Emperor Granel's ATK: 2700.)
"Yes! Granel is just a body now!" Crow grinned.
"Not only that, but it now has low enough ATK for Akiza to destroy it!" Leo added on, a grin on his face as well.
"Rose Pulsar Dragon, destroy Meklord Emperor Granel!" Akiza declared as she clenched her right hand into a fist and thrusted it forward. Rose Pulsar's body glowed a bright rose color and shot out a 5th beam of energy at the body; thus destroying and causing Jakob to cry out from the 5th and final attack. (Jakob's LP: 2700 - 500 = 2200. Akiza's hand: 2 cards. Akiza's LP: 2050. Jakob's hand: 4 cards. Jakob's LP: 2200. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 6.)
"And Granel is gone!" Leo cheered.
"Yeah!" Crow grinned.
"I end my turn with 2 face-downs!" Akiza concluded. (Akiza's hand: 0 cards. Akiza's LP: 2050. Jakob's hand: 4 cards. Jakob's LP: 2200. Akiza/Jakob's SpC: 6.) After a short moment, Akiza continued. "So do you see now Jakob? The future isn't set yet!"
"Foolish girl!" Jakob snarled. "All you've done is sped up the calamity that is the future!"
"What do you mean?!" Akiza demanded.
"I do need not explain myself to one such as you, Signer." Jakob remarked coldly. "Instead of telling you, I shall show you!" The infinite symbols on Jakob's mask, along with the ones over Primo and Lester's left and right eyes respectively. Suddenly, Jakob was launched off his machine and in the air; followed by Primo and Lester before forming together as a fusion of their masks formed upon Jakob's face his body changing before the mask disappeared to show a different face altogether.
"What in the?!" Akiza gasped. "Who are you?!" The android opened his eyes to look down at Akiza.
"My name is Aporia."
Akiza Izinski (OC Cards):
Green Rose Dragon, attribute: DARK, type: Dragon/Tuner, Level 5, ATK/DEF: 1500/2000. Effect: If this card is used as Synchro Material for the Synchro of a "Black Rose" or "Rose" Synchro monster: You can add 1 "Rose" card from either your Deck or GY to you hand.
Soul Rose, attribute: LIGHT, type: Plant/Tuner, Level 1, ATK/DEF: 0. Effect; During either players turn: You can discard this card from your hand and pay half your LP, and if you have less LP than your opponent's; increase the ATK of all monsters you control equal to half the difference in both players LP. These changes last until the End Phase. If a "Rose" or Plant-type monster you control battles an opponent's monster: You can Special Summon this card from your GY, but banish it when it leaves the field. Your monster that is battling after this card is Special Summoned cannot be destroyed by battle and any damage you take is halved. Otherwise if the damage would decrease your LP to 0; your LP becomes 100 instead. You can only use each effect of "Soul Rose" once per turn.
Time Reverse Rose, attribute: LIGHT, type: Plant, Level 4, ATK/DEF: 100/2000. Effect: You can discard this card from your hand; return all Set Spell/Trap Cards you control to your field that were destroyed either this turn or last turn, and if you do, you can Special Summon this card from your GY.
Speed Spell - Bond of the Synchro Summon, type: Quick-Play Spell. Effect: Activate only if you have 6 or more Speed Counters. Declare 1 card name. After that, equip the declared card to 1 monster you control, and if that happens, the monster equipped with the declared card gains the effects of the equipped card.
