Theme: White Day/Reciprocation
Characters: Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, Ichigo Kurosaki, couple others
Mood: Romantic, I guess? Kōhai Grimmjow/Senpai Ichigo is a mood in my book now.
OOC: Not as much as Happy Tardy Valentine's, but what can ya do?
It had been a month since he gave Ichigo the box of chocolate. White day was already past and even if he didn't show it, Grimmjow was just a bit disappointed in Kurosaki.
He hadn't received chocolates back. Not that he cared, but it was the principle of the matter.
During the last month of tutoring Ichigo, Grimmjow had blossomed into a whole new person. He made biting remarks and gave Ichigo such dangerous smirks that it had him blushing in front of his little group of friends instead of the other way around.
Hard to believe he had been nervous and shy about giving Ichigo chocolates last month.
It felt nice to turn the tables on the orange haired youth. He cut his hair down during that time and when he returned to school in contacts, eyes were on him. He sauntered, instead of just walking in. Confidence rolled off of him like water on an umbrella, girls swooning now that he had changed.
But it was the days where he wore his glasses and had Ichigo a flustered mess beside him as they worked on his English together that sent a small thrill down his spine.
They sat together in the little cafe owned by Urahara, Grimmjow growling in annoyance as Ichigo messed up his work. Again.
"Christ, Kurosaki! You're killing me here!"
"Shut up! That was an accident!" Ichigo scrawled over his error in ink, Grimmjow shaking his head.
"Told ya to use pencil, but did ya listen? No. You had to be a cocky little shit." Grimmjow had also picked up a bit of language from some of Ichigo's friends.
Grimmjow had his own friend group now, sure but nothing was as fun as kicking ass and taking names with Ichigo when the town punks tried to fight them for their hair color.
"Shut up, okay?!" Ichigo took the pencil Grimmjow had left on the table and began to rewrite his work. "I thought pen would be okay, all right?"
"Nope." He popped the 'p' in the word, leaning on his hand as he watched Ichigo write. "You're suppose to be the well-read one. You like Shakespeare, don't ya?"
Ichigo didn't answer, biting his lip as he struggled to think of a word in English. "Shut up. You're not much help, either for a tutor."
Grimmjow barked out a laugh before taking a sip of his drink. "What are you trying to think of? Define it for me."
"Uhh... 's..." Ichigo dropped the pencil and waved his hands in the air, struggling. "It's umm... Another word for fight. Battle."
"Quarrel?" Ichigo beamed at him, the look beautiful.
"That's it! Yeah!" Ichigo wrote it down before setting his pencil aside again. Grimmjow grabbed a cookie off the tray between them, slowly eating it as he watched. How in the hell had this guy been failing English? He was tied with Ishida for first in their class group, after all.
Ichigo grabbed a cookie now, gnawing on it as he tried to write a report on Romeo and Juliet. He did like Shakespeare, but he only read it for fun. Not for school.
"You misspelled that." Grimmjow pointed to a sentence. "A-d-v-e-r-s-a-r-y. You mixed up the 'a' and the 'e.'"
Ichigo rubbed out the letters and rewrote them. "Better?"
"Better." Grimmjow agreed, sipping his tea. He scowled at it due to the lack of sugar. Ichigo sighed for the umpteenth time that afternoon, trying to avoid laying his head down for a nap.
The taller young man had nearly ripped his head off for that during their second study session together. Grimmjow rapped his knuckles against the table for Ichigo's attention. "Oi. Focus."
Ichigo shook his head and snapped himself to the present. "Man, I'm tired. Can't we just take a quick break?"
"Not unless you can convince me." Grimmjow folded his arms over his chest, watching Ichigo's face as he struggled to find a reason to allow a ten minute break. Those brown eyes were narrowed in concentration, Grimmjow smirking to himself at the expression.
"Ah! I know." Ichigo went for his bag and started pulling various items out. Papers, notebooks, a day planner Grimmjow had given him during their third study session, some trash.
"Hobbit." The mess before them was even worse than it was, Grimmjow pulling random papers and sorting them by the date.
"Shut up." Ichigo smacked him playfully on the chest, finally finding what he was looking for. "This is for you. Been waiting to see you to give it to you."
Grimmjow saw Ichigo blushing, then looked down to see a pink colored heart before him. He raised a brow, curious as he took it. "What kind?"
Ichigo rubbed the back of his neck, red flush spreading further around his face. "A-ah... What d'ya mean what kind?"
"Flavor, dope." Grimmjow flicked his forehead and Ichigo rubbed the sore spot.
"Plain. Like what you gave me." Ichigo flipped it over to show him the hand-written label. "Oh wait, there's caramel, too."
Grimmjow opened the little box and pulled out a miniature dark chocolate heart, setting it on his tongue to savor the flavor as it melted in his mouth. "'s good."
"Yuzu helped me make them... She was making some for a couple classmates and she had extra." Ichigo explained, still blushing red. Grimmjow made a noncommittal noise at that, taking another sip of still bitter tea. The dark chocolate and caramel went well together and helped sweeten the tea a bit more as he drank.
"You look like you have a fever, you okay?" Grimmjow placed a hand against Ichigo's forehead, pushing orange bangs out of the way of brown eyes. Was Grimmjow deliberately playing stupid with him?!
"Ye-yeah! What the hell, Grimmjow?! Why would I be sick?!" Ichigo tried to push the chilled hand off his forehead, but there was no success.
Grimmjow leaned in, smirk dancing in his eyes but lips twitching playfully. "This honmei choco, Ichi?"
If Ichigo turned any redder, Grimmjow would have thought he was sun burnt. "Ki-kinda? Maybe? I dunno!"
He was flustered and Grimmjow finally smirked. "If it is, ya didn't have to wait so long to give it to me, ya know."
Ichigo swallowed, mouth dry and eyes on Grimmjow's lips as he licked them clean. "You waited two days to give me mine..."
A snort left the blue eyed male. "Yeah. 'cause I was nervous, senpai."
Ichigo groaned softly at the way the word 'senpai' was said, pushing himself closer to Grimmjow. "Be careful 'bout what you say, kōhai. I may just have to take you home with me..."
"Oh, yeah, Kurosaki-senpai?What're you gonna do about it?" The look was mischievous and playful. Ichigo really missed the nervous and shy kōhai he use to know. But this kōhai wasn't bad either if Ichigo's heart rate was anything to go by.
"Might just kiss you." Ichigo's eyes fell shut part way and he moved forward, carefully kissing Grimmjow before pulling back. "Kinda like that."
There was a noise in the air and it was coming from his tutor. It sounded like a growl, but maybe Ichigo heard wrong? Grimmjow placed a hand on the back of Ichigo's neck and drew him in closer, smashing their lips together in a rough and vicious kiss.
They bit and broke skin, sucked and licked blood away and only stopping when someone cleared their throat from behind them. "As cute as this scene is, you two are almost done, right?"
Tatsuki, Keigo, and Mizuiro had joined them that afternoon. Tatsuki rolled her eyes and clarified at Ichigo's confused look. "The cafe is closing soon, Urahara said. He's got plans or some shit."
"Relax, Arisawa." Grimmjow drawled, pulling away from Ichigo to look at his friends. "Go ahead without us. We'll catch up after the weekend."
"See you at school, then!" Mizuiro smiled, the look he wore on his face saying much more than his words. He lead Tatsuki and a protesting Keigo out of the small building.
"We can't leave Ichigo with him! He's a hoodlum from hell!"
"You said the same thing about Ichigo and Chad the first day of high school, Keigo. He'll be fine."
"Yeah. Ichigo's got enough fighting skill to take care of himself, so relax." Tatsuki responded, hitting Keigo as she spoke to try and settle his screaming. Keigo held his wounded head, whining about Tatsuki being mean as they all left.
Ichigo was still blushing, but this time it colored his cheeks instead of his entire face. "So..."
Grimmjow continued to clean up their work space. "So...?"
"Umm... I guess we're a thing now...?" Ichigo didn't look at him directly, just at their reflections in the glass window.
"Guess so." Grimmjow was so casual about it that Ichigo had to stand up and drag him in close by his tie. Blue eyes met brown, sparks flying between them. He almost dragged him in for another kiss.
"You wanna come over for dinner?" Ichigo voice was rough, a low sound that sent pleasure through Grimmjow's body.
"'n keep working on your report in your room?" Ichigo swallowed at the sudden change in Grimmjow's voice, his own body visibly shivering.
"Yeah. Keep workin' on it in my room." Ichigo croaked, mind taking a nose dive down south.
"Good. Let's get." Grimmjow pulled his tie free, loosening the knot and pushing his glasses up on his head to nest in his hair. Ichigo made a soft noise at Grimmjow now disheveled appearance, heart picking up in speed at the sight.
They packed their bags and left the shop, hand in hand. If they got distracted while working, Ichigo wouldn't mind too much.
He'd just have to plan a couple extra study sessions that week with Grimmjow.
A/N: Like I said, I love kohai!Grimm/Senpai!Ichi dynamic too much notto write it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm gonna go to bed. I crammed this out pretty quickly 'cause I am a sucker for punishment!
