"princess we have searched every part of the castle as well as the entire city." spoke up Golden Heart as he walked just behind me to my right through the halls of the castle. "there is simply no sign of Derpy Hooves anywhere." I pondered what he has notified me off as I quickly became worried for her above the dread of our next encounter.

"what of the station? Any sightings of her there?"

"no princess. None of the workers have seen her since she was last seen delivering packages. Guards have been posted there since the search began." he responded. I stopped walking as I looked out of the window I stopped next to which looked over the city underneath. Seeing a few guards here and there walking through the streets as a few pegasi searched from the sky. Nobles looked at the searching guards as they wondered what they were up to. "could it be perhaps she flew off your highness?"

I shook my head. "from what I was notified of her wings were still injured to the point of her being in a large amount of pain when touched in certain areas. Said areas making it nigh impossible to fly without a large amount of pain tolerance."

"your highness... hasn't Miss Hooves been in large amounts of accidents which resulted in property destruction?" I paused as I thought over what he spoke of as I tried to come up with a way to keep her transformations under the carpet. But he did have a good point in what he brought up as I simply always forgot her many accidents during her time as a Mail Pony.

"you have a point... please instruct a few of the pegasi guards to search outwards from the city and send another group farther out to search towards the capital. Additionally, send out search teams to traverse the trails lining the mountain." he gave a salute before he trotted off as I gave a small sigh and looked out over the city.

"where are you..." I whispered as I wished I could fix the mistakes I made up to this point... "I should have told you as soon as something happened as was your right." looking away from the window I began to walk through the halls once more as I made my way to Luna's room to notify her of the situation. I could only hope the nobles don't come and question why the guard have been searching all of Canterlot. I also hope they don't assume the worst has happened. I could only hope that me delaying day court for the inevitable future wouldn't hold to much backlash as I knew that the next few days are going to be long and tiring on me both mentally and physically.

If only I hadn't allowed my emotions to dictate my responses I would have remembered that my magic when I'm agitated, could easily break enchantments and spells of lower strength. I gave yet another sigh as I then soon thought that maybe this was for the best... it meant I wouldn't be able to hide what was happening to her while waiting for the perfect moment to tell her... which I knew very well would never come to begin with. Arriving at her room her Night Guard stood at attention. "is my sister still asleep?" he shook his head.

"no, your highness I believe she is still sound asleep." I nodded as I began to open the door to peer into the room to find what he said was correct. Entering in slowly as I calmly closed the door I walked over next to her bed as I ponder how I was going to let her know about the incident that transpired.

"is something needed sister?" I gave a small jump as I heard her voice and looked to find her head up with her blanket hanging onto your head. She had bags under her eyes which told me she most likely did not get much sleep before my arrival. "you seem to be troubled?" she then questioned.

"yes... an incident as transpired that has caused Derpy to disappear." her eyes quickly lost their sense of tiredness as she stood on her bed with a panicked tone in her voice.

"What happened?!" she first questioned as I waited for the opportunity to interrupt her inevitable rant. As she continued to run around and question me with a large variety of questions I soon found my opportunity as she rushed to get her jewelry on.

"she found out about what was happening to her... and ran away." she simply stopped with her back to me as she slowly finished putting on her jewelry before turning to look at me with a look on her face that simply spoke of displeasure.

"sister... I believe its time for me to finally say something I have wanted to say for a long time..." she simply walked over and laid back down on her bed. "lets talk."
