Journey of the Devil- Chapter 45- sorry for the long delay in writing. gonna try some interesting things with this story hope readers like it.
Lucifer was in a very deep sleep, as it turns out slaughtering large amounts of demons with his bare hands, saving hundreds of humans, and then using ones own lightbringer flame to slaughter thousands of other demons as well as close a global hellmouth took a lot of energy out of a champion.
Lucifer slept peacefully in his bed in his suite at 'The Devil's paradise' hotel and casino, in Las Vegas, after having successfully just saved the world, his sleep was blissful as he gained the rest that he so thoroughly needed, but not all was well in L.A, or the world for that matter.

Chaos was erupting all over the streets of L.A, insanity was engulfing the world, Lucifer had luckily destroyed every demon on earth, and closed the hellmouth thus stopping the flow of traffic of demons to earth, but right after he fell asleep, lights rained from the sky.
Each light being a human soul or an angel being casted out of heaven at the will of the goddess, and the epicenter of the chaos was now right outside of Lux, where Lucifer's new team and his old family now were.
Angela, Nancy, Azreal , Frank, and Dennis along with Candice and her young son Cody watched as the souls of heaven looked around afraid, all of the humans gathered outside of Lux because of the dopplegangers were all terrified beyond belief at what they were seeing.
Chloe, Maze, Amenadiel, Ella, Dan, Linda, Beatrice, and Marcus weren't faring any better, the fear and shock both taking their toll.
All of their dead family and friends that were in heaven were cast out and were now in front of them, but not only them but also God and Yeshua themselves were there on their knees powerless thanks to the goddess.
Nancy's parents whom also happened to obviously be Angela's grandparents were there, Frank's daughter Sasha Lawrence was there, Dennis's parents along with his wife Sara was there, Candice's parents were there, standing with the others looking scared and confused.
Chloe's dad John Decker was among the dead souls no longer in heaven, along with Dan's aunt and his abuela. Ella's parents and grandparents were there, Linda's family was there along with Marcus's, they were all there on earth, no longer in the paradise that was heaven.
"What... what's happening?" Marcus uttered through fearful lips, his mind unable to comprehend what it was seeing.
"My mother has cast out all of her children and the souls of every human in heaven" Amenadiel whispered as a reply, not exactly knowing where to go from here.
The darkness that had the eerie red and orange and glow to it were gone when Lucifer closed the hellmouth, but now left in its wake was a sun that was nearly set, and a new darkness was befalling all of them.
People were running around all over the streets and chaos was erupting, and Maze still had a little bit of composure and knew they had to act quickly
"Quick" she yelled out looking at her friends and Lucifer's team "We have to get them inside Lux and off the street, it's too crazy out here" she looked at the broken old man and Yeshua seriousness in her tone "and that goes doubly for you two".
Chloe and Amenadiel nodded their heads in agreement along with Frank and Dennis and they all got off their knees, where the goddess and the dopplegangers had them and raced forward toward the field outside of Lux where all the heavenly souls were, they all raced past the surrounding chaos to their loved ones, Amenadiel carried his father who couldn't walk, and they all made it to their loved ones.
"Dad, what's going on why am I not in heaven anymore" Sasha asked looking like the teenager that Frank remembered her to be.
"It's alright sweetie, it's all gonna be alright I promise" Frank replied with a few tears coming from his eyes as he gave his daughter a quick hug and urged her on to Lux, they needed to get inside a building, the outside chaos was spreading.
"Monkey what on earth is going on here?" John Decker asked as his daughter Chloe reached him, "There was some big battle in heaven and next thing you know we are all here on earth".
Chloe was in a state of shock to see her father again, tears in her eyes and trembling lips did nothing to hide her feeling as she quickly gave her father a hug, Beatrice who was standing right next to her mother staring up at the man wide eyed was almost speechless but she realized quickly that this man was her grandfather.
"You're my grandpa" Beatrice said as she was in awe.
John Decker looked down at the little girl with a big genuine smile on his face recognizing the little girl from when he looked down on his daughter from heaven
"Yes I am Trixie, my name is John Decker and I am your grandpa" John's words showing his loving nature as a family man.
Chloe whom was speechless could only hug her dad tight, but reality quickly set in like cold water in a deep sleep and they all had to cut off any loving reunions and make it inside to Lux where is was safer.
After everyone made it inside, the panic and dread set in even further because no one knew what would happen next, Dennis held his wife Sara close, Dennis's parents standing close to him trying to understand this new reality.
"There was such a horrible battle in heaven" Sara cried out as Dennis held her close allowing her to cry on his shirt "An evil woman came through the gates with thousands of soldiers and monsters and they just started killing other angels and the battle spread and soon we all ended up here somehow" Sara's words coming out through a trembling body.
"Son, do you know what is going on" Dennis's father asked, his name being Andy and Dennis's mom name being Sharon.
"I don't fully understand what is going on dad" Dennis replying not really being sure if he understood anything anymore.
All of them were on the bottom floor of Lux where the club was located, they felt safer there but who knew how long that would last with the chaos going on outside, human souls walking the earth again, angels with broken wings walking among humans, the world was forever changed.
In the middle of the club sitting on one of the sofas was a distraught God and a sad Yeshua, and with them were Amenadiel and Azrael.
"I don't understand how it came to this point" God said heartbroken as he held his right hand to his wounded left shoulder, which was bleeding. Amenadiel and Azrael both noticed the wound as well, they also noticed that Yeshua had a wound just like it on his left shoulder.
"Father, Yeshua, why are you both powerless right now" Amenadiel asked as answers were needed, Amenadiel never knew that father or Yeshua for that matter could lose their power, it had to do with how they were wounded.
Yeshua looked at Amenadiel and then at Azrael and answered the question for his father himself "the goddess wounded us both using Azrael's blade, the weapon is designed to destroy the soul, but the wound the goddess gave each of us was non lethal, thus our souls are still alive but our power has been destroyed" Yeshua explained as the pain and heartbreak from this war were etched in every word spoken.
"My blade did this... but... but how" Azrael feeling the weight of that answer hitting her hard.
"Because Azrael when Lucifer cut a hole in the universe and gave our mother her own, he threw the blade into the void, thinking it was the safer option" Amenadiel replied realizing that's how their mother managed to get a hold of the blade in the first place.
Yeshua nodded his head in agreement "and since Michael attacked that universe using a small hole that was still in the universe, the goddess felt no need to not use the weapon since she felt betrayed by her own family, but when we tried to explain to her that Michael acted alone when he took a garrision of angels to attack that universe, he acted without either of our permission, but she wouldn't hear a word of it" Yeshua shook his head in disgust at the whole situation "she waged her war anyway, and now here we all are.
"This is all so wrong" God said as he shook his head and tears fell, Yeshua held him close, along with Amenadiel and Azrael both trying to offer comfort to their father.
Gathered around the bar itself were Chloe, Maze, Dan, Linda, Frank, Sasha, Angela, and Nancy, their loved ones speaking among themselves allowing them to speak and try and figure something out.
"This is an impossible situation" Nancy said as they all gathered together to discuss things.
"Where is Lucifer anyway, he is the suppossed champion of earth, isn't it his job to fix this?" Dan asked feeling agitated and scared
"This isn't his fault Dan" Frank said feeling the need to defend his friend "When Lucifer used his lightbringer flame to destroy all the demons and close the hellmouth, he expelled a large amount of power, he is probably passed out asleep right now".
"That's true, Lucifer won't be of any help to us right now, he would be too weak from earlier to help" Maze said realizing that Frank was right.
"What happens to everyone that dies and can't go to heaven because they're not allowed in heaven anymore?" Linda asked
"Their souls will wander earth endlessly" Yeshua replied speaking up and gathering the attention of the room "without the paradise of heaven there will be no lasting peace or joy for any of them, it won't be pleasent that's for certain"
"And just how the fuck did you allow this to happen" Maze angrily replied "how did you let your own fucking realm be conquered like this, especially by that evil bitch Maze feeling totally furious.
"Maze please calm down" replied Amenadiel as he and Maze stared at each other.
"No son, she has every right to be angry, afterall she has a soul and a family now, it natural for her to be worried" God calmly said. God knew that Maze's anger came from a good and natural place.
"Wait a minute did you just call Amenadiel your son... that means... that means" Marcus sputtered but before he could complete the thought god did it for him.
"Yes Marcus Pierce that means I am who you think I am , I am God" and to that everyone stood and stared at God and Yeshua, all but a small few of them knew who they were when they appeared, Everyone in the room now being more understanding of exactly who they were in the room with now looked even more shocked and concerned for if God and Jesus themselves were kicked out of heaven, what hope could there be.
Marcus then fell to his knees in tears and fear with his parents right next to him falling to their knees as well as they all cried together and hugged each other as a family trying to find a small ounce of comfort in the storm.
Ella stared at them wide eyed and holding her cross close to her chest as the weight of that revelation hit her harder than she ever thought possible, God and Jesus themselves in the same room with her, fallen from heaven and now trapped on earth, what would become of all of them, Ella felt a hopeless dread creep further into her very soul.
There was much more crying and dread spreading around the room at this point because the situation was looking bleaker and bleaker, Angela didn't know what to say or do, and neither did her mother Nancy. Lucifer was the only one with any kind of power to fight the threat they were facing, the rest of them now were essentially useless and Angela felt so empty thinking about it
Candice was holding Cody close as he was terrified and Trixie sat with them the young girl giving the even younger boy a hug even as his mother held him close, both the mother and young girl trying to soothe the three year olds young soul. Cody in his young mind praying for the nice man to come and make everything ok, and Trixie in her young mind praying that Lucifer come and save all of them and make everything right again. It was the darkest of moments and they all so desperately needed a lightbringer to bring them light.
The tears and despair in the room combined to breed hopelessness, but then light started appearing in the club, a bright light and it caught everyone off guard, and when the light receded there stood Lucifer, with no shirt on, standing in only a long pair of black pajamas looking barely awake holding a large can of redbull in his hand as he looked on at everyone around him.
"Bloody hell people, a champion and devil needs his beauty sleep, all that mental traffic can be noisy" Lucifer groggily said. Everyone felt a sense of aww, Lucifer was supposed to be passed out and not waking up for awhile.
It was at that moment that he felt two small humans crash into his leg and when he looked down he saw a happy ten year old Trixie and a happy three year old cody, Trixie hugging his midsection, and Cody essentially hugging his left ankle.
"Really.. you two little Urchins wake me up with the prayers and then proceed to assault me with hugs... bloody children".
"You don't understand Lucifer, things are really bad, your mom kicked everyone out of heaven, even your daddy" Trixie replied worriedly.
Lucifer then looked at everyone staring at him in aww, and he very quickly realized what Beatrice meant he then felt annoyed and rolled his eyes and looked up "Really mum, bloody hell, vindictive much, I mean I get throwing the old man out, his fault for not signing a prenup, but everyone... literally everyone... mello dramatic much mother!"
"Lucifer what's a prenup" Beatrice asked looking up.
"Ok monkey you come over here" Chloe quickly said as she walked over and took her daughter by the hand.
"I'd say ask your dad or that new goof your mother married but there's really no point seeing as they have nothing worth taking" Lucifer casually replied. Chloe then looked at Lucifer and started glaring and twitching, Lucifer being... Lucifer.
Lucifer then turned around and faced his father "I mean seriously asshole a good prenup and a decent divorce lawyer aren't that expensive Mr. all powerful and all knowing, I mean bloody hell L.A is full of them".
God was half glaring at his son Samael, and half wanting to laugh at his son's wit, so like him to try and bring some light heartedness to such a dire situation
Frank, Angela, Nancy, and Dennis all approached Lucifer not quite as filled with dread as before, Lucifer then bent down and picked up young Cody and caressed his back, blessing the boy again and allowing him to quickly fall asleep, Candice then went and took the little boy from Lucifer.
"Don't you perhaps think its time to put some clothes on" Yeshua suggested as he glared at Lucifer trying to hide the small smile that threatened to creep on his face, Lucifer could be a good asshole or a bad asshole, just depended on the situation
"No not really, turns out when you restored me to my original form, my body wasn't quite done changing and as everyone can see my abs are becoming a certified twelve pack, and more muscle too" Lucifer then turned and faced Chloe, Maze, Linda, and Ella "see here" Lucifer moved his hands along his midsection "My Rectus Abdominis is clearly developed as you can see by the view of my six pack but if you look my external obliques are also coming in quite nicely, even all the way down to my lower obliques above my hips here right above my..."
"Lucifer all the other angels were kicked out of heaven along with the human souls" Linda quickly said feeling her face redden as she stared at Lucifer and hearing him talk about his body.
That silenced Lucifer for a moment "that's not good, is there anything else I should be aware of?"
Angela then spoke up and told Lucifer about the dopplegangers that his mother made of all the people that he knew in L.A. Lucifer looked at Angela for a few moments, Mother made clones of Chloe, Maze, Amenadiel, Dan, Ella, Linda... and Beatrice... but for what purpose... Lucifer then walked over to a tv while everyone watched and he turned on the television, curious as to what he would see.
The news was filled with stories about the superhero 'Champion' who was called 'the devil' before, Lucifer was happy to see the change better marketing and now when he told people he was the devil he wouldn't have to say yes the superhero and the deity, way easier.
He quickly saw stories of people with broken angel wings walking the earth and being rounded up by law enforcement agencies around the world.
There were stories of people that were thought and known to be dead alive again back on earth, some were being quarantined around the world, others just rounded up for questioning, it was pure madness.
Lucifer could feel something else though, the hellmouth was a direct connection to his realm, Hell, but when mother gained her army to attack heaven she went to many other realms to gather it, there were now small tears in the fabric of reality, tears that led to other realms other than hell, Lucifer could close off the hellmouth to his realm, because it was his realm, but the other smaller tears not so much, and now not only earth but humanity itself was susceptible to attacks from other realms at least for now.
Lucifer didn't have anytime to sleep or rest, he felt groggy and wore out and he was shirtless and in pajamas in front of a couple dozen people at least (lucky them, he was perfect he thought to himself).
Angela walked up and stood by Lucifer and stared at the same chaos on the screen and whispered to him
"What are we supposed to do, this is too big for us mere humans".
Lucifer then faced her and turned around and faced everyone especially those on his team "Frank, Nancy, I want you two to go to the New York Times building in New York, talk to all the sources we have there and find out everything we can about what the governments around the world are doing during this crisis, its the biggest newspaper in the world we will have contacts in the military and also see if the UN has any plans they plan on hatching, I wanna be ready for anything".
Lucifer wasn't done giving commands "Angela, Dennis, and Sara you can help to if you wish, go back to Dallas and arrange for the private plane we flew on there to be allowed to park there for awhile, then go to Morningstar tower in Miami, the top three floors are arranged to be our base"
"What do you mean by that?" Dennis asked not getting what Lucifer meant.
"I mean that when I purchased the tower I had the top three floors filled with equiptment necessary for a supernatural crime fighting team and helping people, I just brought a lot of stuff that I know batman had in his batcave not to mention all the things i saw at the LAPD when I was there, fingerprint recognition stuff, computer technology stuff that I know Angela will be amazing with, lots of weapons just in case, some spell books just in case magic is needed, some first aid kits, oh and a flamethrower" Lucifer casually said. "You can also coordinate with Frank and Nancy when they're in New York, communication will be helpful".
Lucifer then turned his attention to Candice "Candice you can be the president of the Morningstar entertainment division". Candice looked at him wide eyed silent and confused
Lucifer then went on to explain "I love the work you've done on my new nightclub being built in Vegas, so I know you'll be perfect for this, I want you to oversee all our entertainment ventures, between Madison square garden, our nightclub industry, and The devil's paradise hotel and casino which our company will soon be buying, ill authorize a 100 million to purchase it, and when we do put my dad and Yeshua up somewhere so I can keep them safe and hidden, I know youll be perfect for the role, Oh and Dana white has been calling about doing UFC 250 at MSG, Oh Beyonce and Jay Z are also wanting to host some kind of super concert at the garden so yeah theres that".
"What prytell will you be doing" Yeshua asked as he stared at Lucifer
"I need to borrow a couple feathers from my dear sister to restore my energy so I can teleport my team, then I need to go find a Fred" Lucifer's devilish grin on his face.
"I'll take them where they need to go Lucifer" replied Azrael "and what do you mean find a Fred?"
Angela couldn't help but grin up at her favorite devil "He is referring to Fred from the show Angel".
"Indeed I am Angela, indeed I am".
