Accidental Adventure
Damian walked through the hallway in silence, helmet on, pushing one of two carts of generator crates, Ezra pushing the other, his helmet also on, mask down, at Damian's instruction.
"So, who is the buyer anyway?" Ezra asked.
Just then, they walked into a hangar and stopped, seeing an obscenely fat red-skinned alien with a flab of skin hanging from his neck, where it was supposed to be, to his chest, pointed ears, thin arms and legs, and a pointed nose.
"Alright, where is Vizago?" the alien asked.
"Azmorigan," Ezra muttered.
"Excellent choice, Hondo," Damian said. "Jaden, this is Azmorigan, one of the richest, and greediest people in the galaxy. If he wants it, he'll pay handsomely for it. Anything to remain comfortable."
"Ah Vizago is...indisposed...so to speak," Hondo said. "Granting me the privilege of conducting business with you, oh legendary one." He bowed. "Hondo Ohnaka at your service."
Azmorigan laughed condescendingly. "Is this a joke?" His voice took on a harsh tone. "I don't deal with washed up old relics."
"Now, now, let's leave your wife out of this," Hondo joked. "There is no need for such impropriety among thieves. I am certain we can reach an accord."
"I'm certain we can," Azmorigan nodded, his two escorts aiming at them all, four more standing behind them.
"That was easy," Hondo said.
Damian snorted. "Really? You call this easy?"
"We've done harder," Hondo said.
"Nice going partner," Ezra said, subtly activating his commlink. "Looks like you got us all captured. Sure would be nice if we had som backup."
They were led over to a pair of carts and stepped up, Damian nudging Ezra's foot and shaking his head.
"What, no backup needed?" Ezra asked. "I sure hope we don't leave the ship behind."
"Just a thought," Hondo said to Azmorigan. "But why don't we just call it even and go through with the original deal, sounds good, yes?"
"I appreciate the offer, humbly, but I don't think you're going to be around to collect," Azmorigan said, pressing a button and opening the hangar's blast door.
"Azmorigan, take the fruits of our labor if you must, that I understand, but this..." Hondo glanced at the door, "is it necessary?"
"Oh yes," Azmorigan said happily, his left hand gripping the top of the box of gold credit pieces in his right arm. "You see, the Wren Clan has a nice bounty on your head. I'll collect these generators and make an additional profit from your death." He began to laugh.
"I wouldn't," Damian said, Azmorigan stopping to stare at him.
"What was that?" Azmorigan asked.
"I wouldn't jettison him, if I were you," Damian said. "I'm not sure how much the Wren Clan wants him, but the Empire has been hunting him for a little over twelve years now. I'm sure they'd pay even more handsomely than the Wren clan. After all, the Empire has infinite amounts of money."
"Wanted for what?" Azmorigan asked.
"It's Hondo Ohnaka," Damian snorted. "I could write a list for five minutes and only scratch the surface of what he's wanted for."
Azmorigan hummed thoughtfully. "Alright. You have a deal." he waved a hand and two of the guards pulled his and Ezra's helmets off. "Wait, I know this child."
"This is my understudy, Jaden Lao," Damian said. "I'm Damian."
Azmorigan glared at the boy. "You were on Calrissian's farm! You stole from me!"
"You stole from Azmorigan?" Damian asked.
Ezra shrugged.
"No deal!" Azmorigan said. "You are going to die!"
"Yeah, sorry, that's not an option," Damian said, jumping and slipping his arms under his feet before turning and shoving his hands forward, launching the guard with his and Ezra's weapons, taking them back and using his lightsaber to free his hands.
As soon as he had, he freed Ezra and Hondo, then turned, deflecting several blaster bolts back into the other guards before pulling his mask to himself and pulling it on. Ezra grabbed the cart of generators and ran with it as Hondo grabbed Azmorigan's box of credits. Damian stepped onto a piece of metal that would slingshot him out into space and pulled all of Azmorigan's guards onto the metal with him.
"What are you doing?" Azmorigan demanded.
"Slowing you down so that you can't get to your ship before me," Damian said. "Audios."
He used the force to activate the metal slingshot and he and the guards all shot out into space, the guards drifting away as Damian steered himself with the Force, heading for Azmorigan's ship, the only huge, luxury frigate near the station, currently orbitting it. He glanced back as the shuttle Azmorigan had taken from his ship to the station was also launched out to space, leaving Azmorigan stranded. He reached Azmorigan's ship in moments, dropping in through an airlock and heading for the cockpit. A few minutes later, he was flying away from the station as the last dozen guards Azmorigan had on his payroll stepped into the room, aiming at him. Damian grinned, hands behind his head.
"No, boys, we can either do this the smart way, or you can all die," Damian warned them. "Azmorigan will never be in command of this ship again. You can either switch employers peacefully and work for Hondo Ohnaka, or you can try to kill me, and I'll slaughter all of you."
The guards all looked around at each other before holstering their blasters.
"That's what I thought," Damian smiled, turning to the intercom. "Attention crew, and sex slaves, of the ship. As of now, Azmorigan is no longer your captain. Your contracts have officially ended, and this ship is on it's way to meet its new captain, Hondo Ohnaka. You can either work for him, or I can drop you off somewhere along the way. If you would like to be dropped off somewhere, come to the cockpit and let me know."
He turned back to the guards who all looked around before volunteering to join Hondo's crew and leaving. Damian pulled his helmet off and set it on the copilot's seat as the door opened and two Twi'leks and a Chiss woman walked into the cockpit, all three staring at him for a moment before any spoke.
"The three of us want to go with you," the Twi'lek in the middle said. "We were only serving girls, thank God, but it was still bad enough to get groped by him while trying to feed him. You saved us, so we want to go with you."
"I'm sorry, I can't take you with me," Damian said. "I can drop you off basically anywhere, but I can't take you with me."
"Please?" the Chiss asked. "We'll do anything you ask. We can all cook and clean, and I've been learning to use a blaster."
"I'm sorry," Damian sighed. "My wife is going to be mad enough at me for coming all the way here anyway. Thanks to my past, and because I'm with Hondo, if I come back with three beautiful women, all of whom are wearing bikinis, she'd probably kill me."
The three looked at each other before sighing, nodding. However, Damian also sighed heavily, resting his face in his hand.
"I can't believe I'm doing this," Damian sighed. "You can come. But first, all three of you need to find some decent clothes, and you're not staying with me. I'll find you three somewhere to stay, I have a group that can probably use you for your cooking, if nothing else. Is that good enough?"
All three nodded, smiling.
"What are your names?" Damian asked.
"Maylene," the Chiss said.
"Rena," one of the Twi'leks, this one with green skin, said.
"Kira," the other said, this one having blue skin.
"Alright, go find something to change into," Damian said, turning to the front. "I need to meet up with Hondo."
The three of them nodded and left to find clothes and Damian groaned miserably.
"Dammit," Damian sighed. "Me and my bleeding heart."
He slowed to a stop as the Broken Horn pulled up alongside him, docking to Azmorigan's ship. Damian headed to the airlock and opened it, finding Hondo waiting, grinning broadly.
"You, my friend, are as skilled as ever," Hondo said.
"And you are now the proud owner of this ship, with most of the crew now being your crew," Damian said. "Treat them well. They're not pirates. Yet."
"Indeed," Hondo nodded. "Now, tell me, who is your friend?" He lowered his voice. "He saved my life with the Force, so I have gathered he is your Padawan."
"His name's Ezra Bridger," Damian said. "And he's not really my Padawan so much as I'm helping train him. Anyway, I'll pilot the Broken Horn back to Garel, then when we get there, you can hire a pilot to follow you, or sell Azmorigan's ship, which I highly recommend, and be on your way."
"A mighty fine idea," Hondo nodded, stepping out of Damian's way. "After you, my friend."
Damian nodded just as the door opened and the three girls that were going with him glanced at Hondo.
"Is this Hondo?" Maylene asked.
"It is," Damian nodded. "He's not the best looking guy by any means, but he's a good enough guy."
Maylene nodded. "We're going with him." She gestured at Damian. "You've still got twelve guards, and thirteen serving girls, five of which were sex slaves."
"Thank you for telling me," Hondo said. "I'll take care of them."
Maylene nodded and the three of them followed Damian and Ezra onto the Broken Horn. Once they were separated from Azmorigan's ship, Chopper jumped to hyperspace.
As he did, Damian glanced back at the door out of the cockpit.
"Are all of the droids loaded onto the Phantom?" Damian asked.
Chopper beeped an affirmative.
"Good," Damian said. "Keep that device that's keeping them inactive safe. I'm going to check the brig."
"Why?" Ezra asked.
"Because Hondo can't play Sabacc to save his life, much less well enough to cheat someone and get away with it," Damian said.
Ezra's brow furrowed in confusion, and Damian left, heading to the brig, then coming back a few minutes later with Vizago.
"Vizago?" Ezra gaped. "You were in the brig?"
"After that damned pirate stunned me in the back and disabled my droids somehow," Vizago growled.
"And..." Damian said.
"And your debt to me will be cleared as soon as I get my ship back," Vizago said.
"Deal," Ezra said, Damian gesturing for him to say nothing about the droids or generators.
After a few more minutes, they reached Garel, Damian, Ezra, and their three new companions taking the Phantom back to the others, leaving Vizago to take off with the Broken Horn just as Hondo reached the system. After sending Hondo a message that he had no idea who took the ship, Damian left the Phantom first, telling the new three to wait while he smoothed things over with Ahsoka, as much as he could.
"You're back!" Ahsoka smiled, wrapping one arm around him in a hug, then kissing him before pulling back. "Now, why am I sensing you're worried? What happened?"
"Is Ezra okay?" Kanan asked.
"He's fine," Damian said. "He should be loading up the generators we found. We, uh, met Hondo when we answered a distress signal, and ended up going through a failed deal with him, ending in us swiping all of the generators, rather than only the handful we agreed on, as well as some new security droids."
"Well done," Ahsoka said. "And?"
"And, we stole Azmorigan's ship, liberated his crew, and three of his serving girls wanted to come back with me," Damian said. "I agreed to bring them back and put them to work in the fleet."
"They know we're rebels?" Hera asked.
"Not yet," Damian said. "All they know right now is that they're going to be working as serving girls and cooks."
Ahsoka narrowed her eyes at him before sighing heavily. "What am I going to do with you? Fine. We'll give them the option of becoming rebels or not, then take them back to Phoenix Squadron if they want. You're lucky I trust you not to cheat on me."
"I love you," Damian said.
"I know you do," Ahsoka sighed, kissing him. "Bring the generators and droids in, and send the new recruits to me. I'll give them the choice."
Damian nodded and a couple of minutes later, everyone, to include the three new girls, were in the common room. All three had agreed to join the rebellion, and Damian thought up a plan to do Ezra a favor. He whispered his plan to Maylene and she nodded, walking over to where Ezra was getting a lecture on how to judge how much to lead a shot with from Rex, Sabine listening in, for lack of anything better to do.
"Thank you so much for saving us," Maylene interrupted Rex, leaning down and planting a long, affectionate kiss on Ezra's cheek, making his face flush instantly, though he didn't panic like Damian thought he might.
"Oh, uh, no problem," Ezra said. "I hardly did anything."
Maylene hummed in approval. "So modest. Shame you're not a couple years older." As she turned to walk away, she let one hand trail across his torso before it slipped off of his shoulder and she left the room with the other two.
Rex grinned, raising an eyebrow, Ezra tried to remember what he'd ben doing before hand, and Sabine stormed out of the room without a word. Damian grinned. Progress.
