The first Dark Signer: Zelysy fell in battle against Leo.

The Signer was taken to a hospital as the Duel took a toll on his body and he got physically injured after his D-Wheel crashed and exploded.

Just when Jack thought they were winning the war a giant building appeared in the middle of New-York with Miraak hovering in front of it.

45. The Harpie Lady.

Jack rushed outside, the sun started to set within a couple of hours it would be dark outside, the tremors the giant structure created slowly stopped, Serana was closely following Jack while also supporting Leo.

'What the hell is this? How did Miraak get that building here?' Jack muttered, right as he exited the door Violet's D-Wheel stopped.

'Jack!' She shouted to draw her leader's attention, Leo also stepped outside, at that moment all the screens in the city turned on Miraak was visible standing on top of his hovering D-Wheel the giant building in the background.

'Dovahkiin.' The Dragon priest spoke: 'You humor me, thinking I would stop if you break my pillars.' He paused for a moment: 'Those were just to keep you busy, the building, my temple behind me was what I was really after, I summoned it here from a Daedric Realm.' The camera aimed at Miraak zoomed out a bit to show the entire building.

'The four pillars you took down were barely enough to brainwash America this huge pillar behind me is even more powerful, it can communicate with every satellite at the same time, the entire world will be at my feet by the end of today, you have about six hours to stop me, I will be waiting for you in the place it all ended.'

The screens turned off Violet, Serana and Leo were looking at Jack confused, then Jack realized Miraak had spoken in the Dragon Language this entire time.

Richard who had been driving around the hospital to see if everything was safe stopped his car: 'Jack what's going on? What did he say?' Jack tried to calm Richard down a bit: 'That Richard was Miraak he challenged me in the language of the dragons, everyone saw this message Aware and Unaware.'

'I will stay here for now figure out a plan together with Leo, Richard you go back to Sector Security try to control the public panic.'

Richard didn't hesitate: 'Richard once you done you need to come pick me up, I still have no D-Wheel.' Richard simply nodded before he raced off.

'Serana I'm in need of a Black Book, they existed in the old world they belonged to Hermaeus Mora I am sure at least some of the Black Books survived, find out where I can find one.' Jack calmly said, he knew he needed to stay calm or else the other Blades would start to panic.

'I'll go back to Blades HQ, I let you know as soon as I find something, in fact my grandfather might know something.'

Only Jack and Violet remained outside, Jack was now supporting Leo.

'Violet.' The Blade's leader said: 'Is there any reason you showed up here?' He asked.

'Well actually I wanted to show you something.' Violet said as she handed a photo over to Jack, it was a photo from a security camera, despite the photo being black and white the person on the photo was clearly visible, he wore a suit his hair was in his hand he held a leather briefcase.

'That's Ren.' Jack said: 'Where did you get that picture?' He asked.

'I was at the headquarters needed to pick up some of my cards, when I was there Sector Security mailed us this picture, Ren has been seen near an old courthouse, from all the camera images he seems to be there a lot, I was just on my way to that place.'

Jack gave the photo back to Violet: 'Good job Violet go take him down, let me and Leo worry about Miraak.

Jack helped Leo back into his bed.

'So Jack a Black Book?' Leo asked.

'A book created by Hermaeus Mora it allows passage to his Daedric Realm.' Jack explained.

'So you think Miraak is hiding there?' Leo asked knowing the answer already.

'He created those pillars there, every time I tried to find Miraak and couldn't he was hiding there, also explains how he gets around so fast, Miraak must have a Black Book in order to do this.'

Leo scratched his chin, a thing he always did if he was deep in thoughts: 'Didn't Hermaeus More kill Miraak at one point after he lost to the last Dragonborn?' Leo replied.

'Hermaeus did but Miraak is twisted Daedric Princes got weaker after the meteorite while Miraak gained tremendous power, he just might have taken Apocrypha for himself or Hermaeus Mora allows Miraak to use his Daedric Realm just to see what happens.' Jack was now more talking to himself then to Leo.

'So what did he say?' Leo broke Jack's train of thoughts.

'We get about six hours to take his pillar down or else he can brainwash the entire world through satellites and that he is waiting in the place where it all ended, that has to be Apocrypha.'

Violet was speeding throughout the abandoned streets though the pillars were all destroyed freeing people of their influence everyone stayed inside, the only thing she saw was the occasional Sector Security patrol, the Aware people mostly knew what was going on and they started to leave the city resulting in huge traffic jams, the Unaware people knew something was up they had seen the Earthbound Gods unless Sector Security would call a massive evacuation they would stay inside.

Violet was all the more surprised when she saw a girl standing in the middle of the street, the Signer stopped her D-Wheel to see what was going on.

The girl was Violet's age she had beautiful, long, black hair she was wearing a black-leather biker jacket, the jacket was zipped up because it started to get chilly, for the rest she wore black-leather pants and matching biker boots in her ears the girl wore earrings shaped like feathers, a motorcycle stood behind her the helmet laid on the saddle, the first thing Violet noticed was that the motorcycle was a regular one and not a D-Wheel then she recognized the girl.

'Rini?'

The girl looked up her bright, blue eyes fixated at Violet, a grin formed on the girl's face: 'Yes Violet it is me.' The girl named Rini replied, she was speaking Japanese, Violet had no problems understanding her.

'Or should I speak English now?' Rini asked in English she spoke with a slight accent.

'Japanese if fine.' Violet replied in her mother language.

'Looks like you went ways, joining The Blades did you good.' Rini spoke, Violet was surprised she knew about that.

'Rini I don't know what to say.' Violet stammered: 'Back on the Duelist Academy we were like rivals and you're here, you know of The Blades...' Violet stopped as for a second she saw a hint of madness in Rini's eyes.

'Rivals? Interesting choice of words.' Rini replied the madness in her eyes made way for pain: 'After you left Duelist Academy everyone you held at bay started to pick on me an easy target since you weren't there to protect me, they bullied me because I was different I was forced to quit the Academy I enrolled into a different academy where I graduated at the top, I tried my hand in one of the many Duel Leagues that is where I met this great guy his name was Duban he told me I was Aware but my powers hadn't manifest yet, at first I didn't know what he meant but he showed me, Duban opened my eyes to the truth, Duban told me that if I really wanted to be free I needed to deal with all my regrets in the past, that Violet is why I'm here.' Slowly Rini walked up to Violet she took a small perfume bottle out of her pocket when she was close enough she sprayed some in Violet's face, quickly the Signer lost consciousness.

When Violet opened her eyes she was laying on grass, the are was brightly lit, she realized she was on an baseball field as she tried to stand up she noticed her right leg was cuffed to a thick chain, around her stood several machines with pipes connected to them.

'Welcome.' Violet heard Rini's voice she looked behind her and saw Rini was chained as well surrounded by a similar set of machines, Rini had her Duel Disk activated she pressed a button on top of her Duel Disk one of the machines around Violet activated unleashing a stream of fire.

'Flamethrowers? This is a deathtrap!' Violet started to panic.

'Duel me Violet, the shackle around your ankle is connected to my Life Points win and you go free lose and well, I think you can guess what happens.'

Violet then noticed her Duel Disk was active as well so she could not refuse a Duel.

'You may start.' Rini said in English this time.

(Violet: 8000) - (Rini: 8000)

'Rini we don't have to do this.' Violet was almost begging at this point.

'Indeed we don't need to do this, but I WANT to do this, if I ever want to be free of my past I need to burn it all down.' Violet saw the gleam of madness in her eyes, Rini was beyond reasoning.

'If that is how you want to play it you leave me with little choice.' Violet said with a sigh, she took two cards from her hand both appeared on her Field one horizontal one vertical.

'I end my turn.' The Signer stated.

Rini gracefully drew her card a smile formed on her face: 'Violet I have evolved in the past years, I am a different Duelist, back on the academy I was weak and people made fun of me, no more.' Rini's hand was shaking from anger.

'That has nothing to do with me Rini, I always took your side.' Violet replied.

'And when you did nobody said a thing, the moment you left they started again, only because we were friends, they thought I was just hanging around you to gain some of your popularity, every moment you weren't there they just had to remind me I was way below you!' Tears welled up in her eyes, Violet shook her head: 'I had no idea.' She whispered.

'Of course not, why would you? I was a nobody you probably never even noticed me.' Rini sneered, the look she gave Violet hurt her soul.

'Violet I will step out of your shadow, I will show the world what I can do!' She took a card from her hand: 'I discard my Harpie Queen so I can add Harpie's Hunting Ground to my hand.'

Rini searched her Deck, she added the Field Spell card to her hand then she took another card.

'Now I activate Monster Reborn so I can Special Summon Harpie Queen.'

Before Rini appeared a bird-like woman she had long, green hair tied in a ponytail half her face was covered by long bangs, she had pointed ears, the back part of her arms were bird-like wings, her arms ended in bird talons, her legs were human legs except her feet which were bird talons, she wore a blue, skimpy outfit consisting of a bikini bottom, her breasts were covered by two small straps those straps were connected to the bottom part, she also wore a matching choker, the straps from her breasts were connected to the choker a green medallion also was connected to the choker, the biggest part of her legs were covered with a wide, blue piece of cloth held up by straps connected to the bottom part, a golden piece of jewelry decorated her forehead. (1900 ATK)

'Since Harpie Queen counts as a Harpie Lady while on the Field I can activate Elegant Egotist.' Rini's Spell card appeared on the Field, Harpie Queen started to glow: 'I Special Summon Harpie Lady Sisters from my Deck.' Rini stated, three figures split off from Harpie Queen, much like Harpie Queen they were women with pointed ears, green wings attached to their arms and bird talons as hands and feet, all the sisters held a whip in their talons, all three wore the same outfit consisting of a golden chest plate covering their entire body but leaving their arms bare, a choker that kept the armor in place, pauldrons to protect their shoulders, they all wore light-purple leggings with the same type of clothing that covered the legs of Harpie Queen over the leggings, the only thing that separated the three Harpies was their hair, the first one had long pinkish-purple hair styled in several, long spikes behind her head, the second one had shorter, orange hair the right side of her hair was cut short the left side was kept longer, the third sister had blue hair she wore it in several spikes that pointed upwards. (1950 ATK)

'Now I activate my Field Spell!' Rini yelled, she placed the card in her Field Spell Slot slowly the area changed into a wasteland with lots of rock formations and mountains, the area was barren as there grew no plants or trees. 'With this Field Spell my Harpies become stronger and whenever a Harpie is Special Summoned the summoner must destroy a Spell or Trap card.' Rini explained in a childish voice, of course Violet already knew that she knew that Rini was belittling her just to make herself feel more powerful. (Harpie Queen: 1900- 2100 ATK, Harpie Lady Sisters: 1950- 2150 ATK)

'And now that I control a Level five or higher Harpie I can Special Summon Harpie Oracle!' Next to the other harpies appeared another one, this one had black wings on the back of her arms, long blue hair she wore a pink corset, pink leggings and dark-purple knee-high socks held up by a set of straps, in her talons she held an glass orb with a metal ring magically floating around it attached to the ring were two smaller orbs, a thin mist appeared swirling in the orbs. (1300- 1500 ATK)

'The Effect of Harpies' Hunting Ground activate I destroy your facedown card.' Rini declared Violet's card was revealed to be Wall of Thorns before it scattered.

'Your hidden Monster is probably Hedge Guard, so I attack it with Harpie Lady Sisters!' As the three sisters charged in the reversed card disappeared a wall of ground rose up then the ranks of a plant grew all around it. (2100 DEF) The bird-ladies made short work of the plant. 'The rest of you direct attack!' Rini roared, Harpie Queen charged in and lashed out to Violet while Oracle rubbed the glass orb then lightning struck at Violet.

(Violet: 4400) - (Rini: 8000)

The moment her Life Points started to decrease the flamethrowers activated nearly scorching her hair, Violet's Signer Mark started to glow protecting her from the heat.

'You can still stop this madness! Whatever those guys in the robes promised you it isn't worth it!'

For a moment Rini stopped she looked around her nervous, Violet knew she was right.

'I don't know what you are talking about.' Rini stuttered: 'Anyway I end my turn and that means the Effect of Oracle activates, I can add a card from my Graveyard to my hand that lists Harpie Lady Sisters.' Rini showed Violet Elegant Egotist before she added it to her hand.

'My turn.' The Signer stated drawing her card.

'Again I Set two cards and end my turn.' Violet stated and a horizontally and vertically placed card appeared on the Field before her.

'You're getting boring Violet.' Rini said as she drew her card: 'Your Duels used to be an all-out assault, showing off your Signer Dragons.'

Violet could see the disappointment in Rini's eyes.

'You wanna beat me Rini, you have to do it while I'm at my strongest, the Duelist I was at the academy was not me at my strongest, that was me being reckless.' Violet replied, Rini thought about what Violet said.

'Well then if you say that then I will give it my all.'

Rini took the Elegant Egotist from her hand and played it, in a flash of light another Harpie Lady Sisters appeared. (1950- 2150 ATK)

Violet smiled: 'Then I activate my Threatening Roar!' Her hidden card spun around a roar sounded over the Field, the Harpies all drew back

'Without a Set card on my side of the Field you are now forced to destroy your own Field Spell.' Violet said Rini cursed loudly lightning struck the Field around them slowly it changed back into the streets they started their Duel, the Attack Points of the Harpies dropped back down to their original value.

'I see now Violet, you traded in raw power for strategy, I must admit that this is thrilling, I want to see more, so make your move.'

'I needed my Monster on the Field for at least one turn, being able to destroy your Field Spell in the progress was a nice bonus.' Violet said, quickly she turned the only card on her Duel Disk around, the reversed card before her disappeared and got replaced by the yellow plant with a bomb-for-a-bud: Lonefire Blossom. (500 ATK)

'Next I activate the Spell card: Foolish Burial to send Dark Verger to my Graveyard.' Violet continued she retrieved a card from nearly the top of her Deck and placed it in her Graveyard, immediately she took another card from her hand: 'I Normal Summon Spore.' Violet stated, a small, white puffball with eyes and a mouth appeared floating in the wind. (400 ATK)

'Now that Spore, a Plant-Type Tuner is Summoned I can Special Summon Dark Verger from my Graveyard.' The Signer explained, the ground cracked open and through the cracks appeared the small root with the big leaves at the top, two evil-looking eyes opened on the leaves. (0 ATK)

'I activate the Effect of Lonefire Blossom by sending Spore to the Graveyard I Special Summon Copy Plant from my Deck.' The bud of Lonefire Blossom broke open unleashing some fireworks, Spore disappeared and in it's place appeared the lump of strong roots the blue eyes pierced through the roots. (0 ATK)

'Now I use the Effect of Copy Plant on Lonefire Blossom, this makes Copy Plant Level three the same as Lonefire Blossom.' The roots started to shift and changed into an exact copy of Lonefire Blossom.

'The only thing I need to do now is Banish Hedge Guard so I can Special Summon Spore from the Graveyard.'

As Violet placed Hedge Guard in her pocket Spore reappeared on the Field, it was a lot bigger than before.

'Spore's Level is increased by the amount of the Monster I Banished, Spore's Level is increased from one to four.'

Rini observed the four Monsters: 'Finally, show me Black Rose Dragon, summon the Signer Dragon so I can finally show you what I can do!' Rini's eyes turned to madness, Violet shook her head: 'Not happening Rini, I Tune Level four Spore to Level two Dark verger and Level three Copy Plant to Level three Lonefire Blossom!'

'Prickling thorns taking shape, the queen of flowers set into bloom! Synchro Summon! Come forth, Queen of Thorns!' Violet chanted one beam of green light illuminated the Field.

'The beauty of flowers showing a darker side, the flower of destruction set into bloom! Synchro Summon! Come forth, Splendid Rose!' Violet chanted a second time, this time the entire area illuminated green, when the lights faded out two Monsters stood before Violet, one was the half-human half-plant hybrid with the maw made of plant materials as hands, the second was a young-looking woman with short, blond hair she was wearing a skin-tight suit the left half was green the right half black, rose petals decorated her legs, the woman smiled as four thorny vined grew out of her back. (2200 ATK x2)

'This is what I learned Rini, Signer Dragons are just Monsters, they might be one-of-a-kind but they can be beaten, these Monsters are simply Black Rose Dragon's back-up.' Violet said quickly she took a card out of her Graveyard: 'I activate the Effect of Splendid Rose by Banishing Dark verger, it halves the Attack Points of Harpie Lady Sisters.'

Splendid Rose chuckled the four vines behind her quickly wrapped themselves around the three Harpies. (1950- 975 ATK)

'Now Splendid Rose attacks Harpie Queen.' Violet stated, the woman chuckled again rose petals appeared around her, then they all at once flew at Harpie Queen, the bird-lady fell down and disappeared.

'Now I Banish Spore.' Violet continued as she pocketed yet another card: 'By halving the Attack of Splendid Rose she can attack again.' The ATK of Splendid Rose dropped to 1100 then the vines crushed the three Harpies they were holding.

'Queen of Thorns attack the second Harpie Lady Sisters!' The bird-ladies tried to flee as the plant-hybrid charged in, she caught two of the Harpies with her hands and quickly destroyed them before taking out the third one, flamethrowers behind Rini activated, the girl payed them no mind.

'This, Rini is my true power.' Violet said as she waved as a sign she ended her turn.

'Astounding, all that power even without a Signer Dragon.' Rini chuckled: 'I just have to step up my game, Violet I will force you to Summon your Black Rose Dragon!'

Rini drew her card: 'Queen of Thorns forces me to pay 1000 Life Points if I want to Normal Summon a Monster, so I do that in order to Normal Summon Harpie Harpist.' The beautiful sound of a harp filled the air as slowly a new Harpie descended from the heavens, she had long, red hair, green wings her outfit consisted of a black strap covering the bare minimum of her breasts, a matching black bikini bottom, black socks that covered most of her legs, she wore golden rings around her ankles, in her talons she held a wooden harp, it looked really fancy on the top it had a decoration shaped like a wing. (1700 ATK)

'By Normal Summoning Harpie Harpist her Effect activates I send one of my own Monsters back to my hand together with one of your Monsters and I choose Oracle and Queen of Thorns.' Both Duelists retrieved the cards while Rini added her card to her hand Violet placed her card back into the Extra Deck.

'Now I activate Elegant Egotist again.'

Before Rini appeared Harpie Lady Sisters again. (1950 ATK)

'Next I'll add the Spell card Triangle Ecstasy Spark which increases the Attack Points of Harpie Lady Sisters to 2700 for this turn.' The three Sisters grabbed each others hands so they stood in a triangle then a beam of light appeared between them. (1950- 2700 ATK)

'Sisters attack Splendid Rose!' The three sisters let each other go then they started to circle around Splendid Rose before grabbing hands again this time the beam of light oblitherated Violet's Monster.

'Harpie Harpist direct attack!' Rini shouted, the sound of the harp filled the air again sound waves hit Violet, the Signer managed to keep standing then she had to roll away because of the flamethrowers, the chain around her ankle made it hard to dodge them.

'Now I shall Set this card.' Rini stated a reversed card appeared on her Field: 'And end my turn.'

Violet drew her card, a smile formed on her face: 'Now I'll show you a trick I picked up lately, I Summon Red Rose Dragon.' A small dragon appeared, it had a smooth, black skin it stood on four, small legs the creature had small wings made of the leaves of leaves, two roses grew out of it's back. (1000 ATK)

'With Red Rose Dragon on the Field I can Special Summon White Rose Dragon.' The Signer explained another dragon appeared it seemed to be of the same species as Red Rose Dragon although this one seemed to be older instead of standing on four legs it stood on two stronger legs, it's wings were bigger, the tips were made out of white leaves, a white rose grew out of it's back between the wings, it had a tail with a small rose bud on the tip, the dragon snarled at Rini. (1200 ATK)

'Now I Tune Level three Red Rose Dragon to Level four White Rose Dragon!' Violet shouted Red Rose Dragon changed into three rings then White Rose Dragon flew through them.

'Chilling flames engulf the entire world. Pitch-dark flower, set into bloom! Synchro Summon! Appear now, Black Rose Dragon!' Violet chanted, rose petals fell on the Field with a roar her Signer Dragon appeared. (2400 ATK)

'Now some Effects will activate, first the Effect of White Rose Dragon, when used as Synchro Material I can send a Level four or higher Plant Monster to the Graveyard and I choose Gigaplant.' Violet retrieved the card then placed it in her Graveyard.

'Next is Red Rose Dragon when send to the Graveyard for the Synchro Summon of a Plant Monster or a Black Rose Dragon I can add a Blooming of the Darkest Rose or Frozen Rose to my hand and when this card is send to the Graveyard as a Synchro Material I can Special Summon a Rose Dragon Monster from my Deck.'

Violet took her Deck and searched for two cards one was Blooming of the Darkest Rose which she added to her hand, the second one was a Blue Rose Dragon which she immediately played.

In front of her appeared the snake-like dragon with the Blue wings and the rose around it's neck. (1600 ATK)

'Finally Black Rose Dragon's Effect which Destroys all the cards on the Field.'

The Signer Dragon roared a storm of red petals clouded the vision of the Duelists, seconds later the petals fell on the ground all Monsters were gone.

'Since Blue Rose Dragon was destroyed I can Special Summon Black Rose Dragon!' The petals packed together to form an orb and out of it broke Black Rose Dragon. (2400 ATK)

'Nice moves Violet, but you destroyed my set card: Hysteric Party, which allows me to add three Harpie Ladies to my hand, I choose the original Harpie Lady, Harpie Queen and Harpie Perfumer.' Rini said, she searched for the cards and added them to her hand.

'At least I can get some damage in direct attack!' Violet shouted, Rini braced herself as a storm of red petals swarmed around her.

As soon as her Life Points started to drop the flamethrowers activated Rini barely managed to avoid them.

'Just turn them off Rini, we can finish this without your traps.' Violet begged.

'No, it has to be like this! I need to burn my past so my future can start clean!'

'I can help you Rini, just let me!' Violet replied Rini only glared at her.

'You done?' She asked.

Violet said nothing she just played a card which appeared behind Black Rose Dragon: 'Please Rini, let me help you, I don't want to kill you!' Violet tried again.

'Then let me win Violet, let me win and I live!' Rini said, a wicked smile on her face, she spread her arms she gestured Violet to bring it on.

'I won't back down Rini, I will find a way I promise you.'

Rini laughed at Violet's words she drew her card: 'You can't even safe yourself.' She laughed Rini took three cards from her hand.

'First I Summon Harpie Perfumer.' A new bird-lady appeared she had green wings, long purple hair with pink streaks on the sides, she wore pink and purple leggings and a dark-pink swimsuit that left the top of her body and her midriff bare in her left hand she held a fancy-looking perfume bottle. (1400 ATK)

'The Effect of Perfumer activates, it allows me to add a card to my hand that lists Harpie Lady Sisters.' Rini explained, she quickly found the card she was looking for it was Elegant Egotist.'

'I activate Elegant Egotist.' Rini stated, her Spell card appeared on the Field: 'I Special Summon Harpie Lady.'

The card Rini played looked really old, Violet knew this card was very dear to her, before Rini appeared the original Harpie Lady, a pale-skinned bird-lady with blue wings and long pink hair, she wore a skimpy outfit that only covered her private part and her lower legs. (1300 ATK)

'Next I activate Double Summon so I can Summon my Harpie Queen.' Rini stated first her Spell card appeared followed by the majestic Harpie. (1900 ATK)

'You picked up a new trick with your Rose Dragons I picked up a new trick as well! Let me build the Overlay Network!' The three Harpie Ladies changed into three green orbs they shot up into the sky swirling around each other. 'Mirage of the sky, leave the ground blackened as you scorch your enemies! Xyz Summon! Rank four Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon!'

The air rippled, a loud, deafening roar sounded over the Field, out of nowhere ghostly flames appeared and with them a red-skinned, ferocious dragon, it had long arms and legs ending in sharp claws, flames appeared out of the back of it's ears giving a ghostly glow over it's ferocious maw, it's ghostly, green eyes scanned the Field, out of it's back appeared wings made out of ghostly fire. (2000 ATK: 3 ORU)

'As long as my Phantasmal Dragon has Overlay Units you cannot target Harpie Monsters for an attack and it can attack directly however Detaching an Overlay Unit during my End Phase is not optional, but then again I only need two turns to finish you off.'

The Phantasmal Dragon roared.

'Attack directly!' Rini shouted, Phantasmal Dragon roared again exhuming ghostly fire from it's maw, Violet could feel the heat on her skin, she then realized it were the flamethrowers again, because her Life Points were below thousand they stayed on.

Violet drew her card. 'I activate Pot of Avarice.' She said, the pot appeared on the Field Violet took: Blue Rose Dragon, Red Rose Dragon, White Rose Dragon, Splendid Rose and Gigaplant from her Graveyard and shuffled them back into her Deck.

Violet looked over her hand: 'I Summon Gigantic Cephalotus.' At first an overgrown Cephalotus appeared on the Field then all of a sudden it moved, the plant opened showing a row of sharp teeth and a long tongue, two small legs grew out from under the plant giving it a comical look. (1850 ATK)

Slowly Violet's hand moved to her ear, she touched her communicator: 'Jack you there?' She asked.

'Yes.' Came Jack's reply.

'If you're still at the hospital you're only a couple of streets away from me, I need you here now.'

Jack could hear from her tone it was urgent.

'Calling your boyfriend?' Rini said with a sneer.

'Time to end this Rini.' Violet said ignoring the sneer.

'How could you possibly defeat me?' Rini laughed.

'First I Equip Black Rose Dragon with Thorn of Malice.' The Spell card materialized on the Field, Black Rose Dragon got a bit stronger. (2400- 3000 ATK)

'Summoning Monsters, powering up your Signer Dragon? You know you can't attack my Phantasmal Dragon.' Rini said.

'That is why I have my Blooming of the Darkest Rose Trap card!' Violet's Set card opened up: 'Since there is one Field Spell in the Graveyard I Special Summon one Rose Token to your side of the Field!' Rini looked down at her feet where a rose appeared, it had long, thorned vines ending in green leaves. (800 DEF)

'That Rini is no Harpie Monster therefor it can be attacked, now I use the Effect of Black Rose Dragon by Banishing Copy Plant, your Rose Token is changed to Attack Mode and it's Attack is changed to zero.'

Vines appeared from behind Black Rose Dragon's wings they wrapped around the Rose Token. (800- 0 ATK)

'Now because of Thorn of Malice a Monster that Battles Black Rose Dragon is not destroyed.' Violet turned her gaze to the ground as she commanded her attack, she didn't dare to watch, she heard Rini's scream as first Black Rose Dragon struck the Rose Token followed by an attack of Gigantic Cephalotus.'

The moment the shackle unlocked itself Violet sprinted to Rini at that moment Jack also entered the stadium, the machines surrounding Rini all turned toward her they started to buzz, Violet tried to yank the chain when that had no effect she took a piece of rubble and tried to brake the chain that way.

'It's too late for me.' Rini whispered.

'No, I won't give up!' The Signer yelled, Rini smiled then the flamethrowers activated, Rini pushed Violet away while she whispered something, Jack caught Violet and pulled her away from the deathtrap he knelt down Took Violet's head and turned it away from the gruesome scene Violet covered her ears so she couldn't hear the screams of Rini.

Only minutes later Richard arrived followed by Gizelle and more Sector Security officers they found Jack and Violet both in shock the two Signers didn't move Violet was crying while Jack simply stared at the still smoldering body. 'She had regret.' Jack said to Richard, the officer had never seen Jack this cold: 'Richard contact the medical team she died with regret in her heart Violet told me Rini did this because of a guy named Duban, search the records I want to know who Duban is he might be the one we're looking for.' Then Jack gently gave Violet to Gizelle: 'Take her to the hospital where Leo is, make sure she stays there and give her victim support.'

When Gizelle and Violet were out of hearing range Jack turned to Richard: 'Make sure the medical team takes the body and burn it with haste.' He said.

'Jack you can't be serious that is cruel you can't do...' Jack stopped the officer.

'I know, I don't like it either but Rini is an excellent candidate to become a Dark Signer that fate is even worse than death.'

While Gizelle drove Violet to the hospital a few streets away the only thing Violet could think of was Rini telling her that ''she was different'' and her final words: 'I love you.'

Jack and other officers were already off the field when the medical team arrived, when they entered the Field they could see the contraptions and the scorched ground where Rini died but the body was gone.

From the shadows a figure was watching the medical team looking confused and searching everywhere a smile formed on her face, she looked at her right arm where purple lines appeared taking the shape of what looked like a hummingbird.

With another Dark Signer awakened and Miraak's temple New-York is in even more danger and the world is only six hours away from falling under the Dragon Priests' spell.

However they now have a name: Duban.
