Hi, this is insanely late. But in my defense I kinda fell out of the Haikyuu fandom for a while. Until I noticed the announcement for season four, which is coming out January 20th! (I think, not sure on the specifics) Who else is hyped!
"Osamu Miya!" I screeched as both Atsumu and I sped towards him. "How dare you ditch us!"
He looked at us from a distance for about 2 seconds, before he slowly turned around, made a full stop, and sprinted away.
"You'll never catch me alive!"
"We don't want you alive!" Atsumu informed his brother. "We want you dead!"
Luckily for me, and unluckily for Osamu, my speed was rivalled only by Shoyo. No one in my own team could outrun me, let alone Osamu.
"Caught ya!" I jumped on him from behind, making him tumble to the ground.
Though there was a small, itty bitty, teeny tiny little problem with that. I might be faster, but Osamu's stronger. Like, a lot stronger.
Meaning that he easily pushed me off of him.
Fortunately I had backup, in the form of a pissed off brother named Atsumu. And boy was he ready to throw some hands, I felt like I should be eating popcorn.
"Got you now bitch!" With a warrior cry Atsumu lunged on his brother and the two began to pull on each others hair, slap the other silly, and so on and so forth.
All in all, it had turned into quite the entertaining scene for me. Really made me regret that I didn't have something to snack on.
Although, looking at the twins like that it made me realise something. Namely how glad I was that Shoyo and I had a far more friendly relationship than these two. I don't think I'd be able to cope if my cute brother turned out to insult me as often as the Miya twins did. Hell, just thinking about it made me sad.
I don't want Shoyo to hate me!
"Uhh, Matsuo? You ok there?" The twins said in sync. "You're looking gloomy."
Oh? Had I entered sulking mode? My bad, that wasn't my intention.
"Sorry, I got lost in thought." I rubbed the back of my head. "I didn't mean to ignore you. Anyway, who's winning?"
"I am!" They shouted in unison. "No, I am!"
And they began fighting again. Ah, how I loved to possess the ability to make people do what I wanted them to. Especially people as idiotic as these two. How I loved my stupid friends.
Maybe I liked them even more because of the fast amount of intelligent friends I had. Hell, Bokuto was probably the only other idiot amongst my suitors… The rest were all hella intelligent. Huh, I had been collecting smart people instead of idiots. That's certainly new. Even before I became Matsuo I had been a massive idiot magnet.
In fact, a lot of my previous friends were complete morons. Ah, but I loved them anyway. Though not even the dumbest of them stood a chance against the idiocy that is Bokuto. Sometimes I wonder who was dumber, Shoyo or Bokuto. I should test that…
Maybe some other time.
"Ha! I win!"
Hmm, what did I miss?
Osamu's victory over his brother apparently. Yup, the silver haired twin won this round. Should I be clapping?
"Damn you 'Samu..." Atsumu groaned out from where he was lying in the floor. "Don't get cocky just because you won this time…"
"Wouldn't dream of it." Osamu smiled merrily at his brother. "Though for now I think I need to claim my prize."
There's a prize involved in this fight? I didn't hear anything about that, though that might just be because I zoned out quite a lot during the fight.
"What's the prize?" I tilted my head to the side curiously. "I didn't hear anything about that."
Osamu turned to smile at me, an innocent one compared to the sinister smirk he gave Atsumu. "You'll see~"
Oh, I really don't like those words.
"Don't you fucking dare!" Atsumu yelled, but made no move to get up. "Matsuo, run!"
I took his advice and bolted in a random direction, not really caring that I would definitely get lost.
I'd just consider it a new adventure and use google maps if I wanted to head back home. Long live modern technology, I'd abuse it the best I could!
And, because I am a speedy boi, I easily outran Osamu who seemed dead set on claiming his 'prize' from me, whatever the hell that meant.
I ain't got no prize! Nor was I a prize to be won, if that was what he meant.
Then again… it might've just been Osamu's way of saying that he wanted to confess to me.
Shit that actually sounded rather probable.
That also meant that I had made it worse by running away instead of waiting and seeing what Osamu wanted.
God-fucking-dammit, I'm a goddamn moron. Cease to call me a genius, I am no more than a mindless potato. Maybe I could still go back and apologise…
Nah.
I decided to bolt, I'm sticking with that decision. Ain't no guilt strong enough to make me go back and, urk, apologise. Nope, not happening.
"You're getting lost in thought a lot today, are you okay?"
"MOTHERFUCKER!" I turned around at the speed of light. "Oh, jesus, it's just you."
Osamu had followed me, obviously, and noticed that I had stopped to get lost in thought again.
"Don't scare me like that!" I shamelessly pouted.
I'm pretty sure I heard Osamu snicker. Asshat.
"Did you really think I'd just let you run off without giving me my prize?" Osamu put his arms around my neck, leaning on my short form. "Not in a million years."
I get it! I'm short! You don't have to rub it in!
"I'm not a prize." I grumbled out. "Don't treat me like an object."
"That's not what I meant by prize." Osamu shook his head. "I just needed my prize to be the chance to tell you something."
Welp, my confession senses are tingling. And yes, those do exist and yes I have them. That's a side effect of getting so many confessions in the span of a week. They're like spidey senses, except they weren't used as often.
At least I certainly hoped so.
"Oh? What about?" I asked, trying my hardest to play dumb.
"'Tsumu confessed to you didn't he?"
Huh, not what I expected him to say but…
"Yeah, he did. Why?" I returned.
"You… didn't answer him, right?" Ooh, I heard the hesitation there mister.
I shrugged. "No, it'd be unfair for the others. Why does that matter?"
Osamu sighed. "Please don't pretend like you don't know what's happening, like you don't know what I'm working up to."
Ah, he noticed.
"Sorry." I apologised. "But I don't want to pressure you if you're not ready."
Osamu laughed. "Aww, who knew you had a considerate side?"
What the fuck was that supposed to mean? I could be considerate thank you very much! Just… you know, with a very small group of people.
Ahem, details.
I looked up at him. "So are you going to confess or what?"
Osamu turned to loveliest shade of red. "Ah, yeah, I should probably get on with that."
He stepped back from me, trying desperately to tame his red face. To no avail, might I add.
"Well then, I guess I'd better get it over with huh."
Osamu swallowed audibly, stepped towards me again and hugged me close. "Hinata Matsuo, I'm in love with you."
