Welcome back readers. VivaDeAsap here with another chapter of AAU. I hope you're enjoying this. Anyway, I was thinking that when I was one with this story I would write short spinoffs alongside another fanfiction. I would like to know what you think. Anyway… on with the story.
Chapter 44: Unexpected reunion
The sisters walked up to the entrance of the gang's bar. Osoro could feel herself getting nervous. She didn't know who was waiting for her inside the bar and he also didn't know if her sister would be safe. She turned to the shorter girl and saw her fiddling her thumbs. She was nervous too.
"Are you okay?" Osoro asked the president who then cleared her throat.
"M-Me?" she asked, "I-I'm all good," she tried to sound as confident as possible butthe fear in her voice was evident.
"Don't worry," Osoro started, "remember what you said. We're invincible together so ain't nobody taking us down without a fight." She hoped her encouragement would help and it did.
"You're right. We'll be fine," the president responded with some confidence, "Let's get in there."
"Alright, but remember. You should lay low in there. Don't start any fights because the people in there aren't like anyone you've ever fought before. They are merciless," the delinquent said before pushing the door open and the noise could be heard along with the smell of several drugs, "let's go."
The sisters walked into the room as casually as possible. Both could notice the stares they were getting by a number of people in the bar.
"Not a very welcoming crowd are they," Megami muttered to her sister.
"It's expected," Osoro responded before they stopped at a seating booth. She urged her sister to take a seat before talking, "I'm supposed to meet up with someone so I' going to look for them. You're okay sitting here right?" she asked, "I'll try not to take long."
"Sure," was all she said before leaning back into her seat, "I'll be fine."
"Ok then. I'll see you in a bit," she said before walking off.
The president glanced around the bar. Some people were still glancing in her direction but she decided not to pay them any mind. She had to admit that the people there were quite intimidating. Many of them sported weapons like guns, katanas and many others which would most definitely cause her arm.
As she continued to make her observations, her eyes landed on a guy that was seated on a table across her. He wore a black hoodie over a pair of blue jeans and white kicks. The hoodie covered up most of his face but she could tell he was a blonde by the way some of his hair escaped his hoodie as he ate. She couldn't help but stare as the person had caught her attention.
Just as she was about to look away from him, he looked right at her. Their eyes locked and she could see a bit more of his face well… mostly his yellow eyes looking back at her. She felt herself growing threatened causing her to look away immediately. She had gotten herself some unwanted attention. She just hoped he would get back to his food.
"Didn't your mommy tell you it was rude to stare?" she heard a deep, gruff voice ask her.
She felt her heart drop when she heard it. She then turned towards the direction of the voice and locked eyes with the guy she was looking at. She could see more of his face and she literally continued to stare at him. There was something awfully familiar about him.
"I asked you a question," the man said as she still stared at him. He then sighed before punching the table, "you deaf or something?"
The silverrette snapped back to reality and sighed, "sorry, it's just that you remind me of someone I know."
The blonde man then decided to take a seat opposite her, "you know what? You actually remind me of someone I know," he said before asking, "clearly you're from a much wealthier background from anyone here. What are you doing in a place like this and who are you anyway?"
"I-I don't think that's any of your business," Megami responded while deciding to lock eyes with him.
"That's not what I asked," he responded while glaring at her.
"I know."
"Then answer the fucking question," he growled.
"What if I don't want to?" she asked with a calm expression on her face. All signs of intimidation were absent.
"You're not easily scared, are you?" he sighed before leaning back, "I like that."
The president was taken aback by his sudden change of mood. There was something off about the guy. he seemed aggressive yet laidback at the same time. He was someone that could probably kill her if he wanted to but she didn't feel very threatened by his presence. It was almost like she was calm around him even though her guard should've been up. It also didn't help that she found him attractive.
"You okay?" he asked as he looked back at her.
The president didn't realize that she had gotten flustered and was probably blushing in front of him. She had to respond, "y-yeah, I'm fine."
"alright," he said before asking once more, "you don't have to tell me who you are but I still want to know what you're doing in a place like this?"
The president decided to answer seeing that it wouldn't be a big deal, "I…"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" a voice interrupted the both of them causing them to look and face a black haired guy standing at the table. He then looked at the silverrette and then scoffed, "what the hell is a little girl doing in a place like this?"
"Sorry sir, but is there really any need for you to be so loud?" Megami asked while trying to avoid any unnecessary commotion.
"Loud?" he shouted, "tsk, I'm loud whenever I need to be," he responded before he took a closer look at the president, "wait a second, you look exactly like Rina's boyfriend!" he yelled causing people to look in that direction, "Hah oh, you're a little poshette, aren't you?" he smirked, "what's wrong? Did you run away because daddy refused to send you to Disney land?
"Hey, why don't you get lost?" the blonde asked their intruder.
The black-haired then looked at the blonde before his eyes went wide, "Whoa! This is crazy!" he yelled before quickly pulling down the blonde's hoody, "holy shit!"
The blonde man's expression changed from a calm one to a slightly panicked one before pulling back his hoodie, "don't do it TJ."
"Hey guys! Check it, a traitor decided to walk back into the bar after somehow getting out of jail!" he yelled causing the bar's inhabitants to look in his direction, "look who I found!" he yelled before he began to yank at the blonde's hoodie again and quickly cut it off with a pocket knife revealing the blonde's face for everyone to see.
Everyone in the bar began to yell random threats at him. The president sat silently in her seat as she was confused by what was transpiring around them.
"Why did you do that?" the blonde asked TJ who chuckled proudly.
"I've been waiting to get back at you for screwing up our gang and hurting our boss," TJ said as he got into a fighting stance with his knife in his hand, "I swear you won't walk out of here alive."
"Fight, fight, fight!" the bar members chanted for the two to fight.
"we don't have to do this," the blonde said while standing up.
"Come at me, bro," TJ said while focusing on him.
TJ was the first to attack. He lunged at the blonde and was about to land a punch on him when he was interrupted.
"TJ, stand down!" Rina's voice boomed as she approached the two with Osoro beside her. Everyone in the bar went silent.
"Boss! This our chance to take down this dick!" TJ said as he looked at his boss who stood there with a serious look on her face.
"TJ, back off!" she growled, "that's an order."
"Ugh, come on boss," he whined but to no avail. This was his chance to get revenge and he wasn't going to give it up, "I don't care what you have to say. I'm fighting him."
Feeling offended by TJ's lack of loyalty, Rina glanced to the side at a group of guys that were leaning against the wall. She then nodded at them, causing them to walk towards TJ and grab him.
"Let go of me!" he yelled as he was carried out of the room.
"Are you okay boss?" Osoro asked the leader who sighed.
"I'll deal with him later," she said before looking at the blonde, "what are you doing here?"
"I got bailed out of jail so I decided to pass by and talk to someone," he responded, "R-Rina, look I'm sorry."
"I don't have time for this," she said before walking away in the direction of where TJ was taken.
Osoro then looked at the blonde and felt her heart drop, "O-Osoru?"
"Osoro," he responded before taking a seat at the table.
"You're the one that texted me, aren't you?" she asked as she joined him at the table and sat next to Megami who was looking between them.
"Yeah, I needed to talk to you," he said.
Osoro then remembered, "Oh right," she then turned to face her sister, "Megami, this is Osoru, my big brother."
That made a lot of sense as to why he looked so familiar to the president. They were biological siblings.
"Osoru, this is my sister, Megami," she introduced causing him to nod in agreement.
"Megami Saikou, right?" Osoru asked to which the silverrette nodded.
"You know me?"
"I've met your brother in the past," he responded, "how is he, by the way?" he asked while leaning back into the seat.
"He's doing fine, I guess," she responded before Osoro spoke up.
"Sorry to interrupt but, Megami, could you please excuse us for a bit?" she asked, causing the silverrette to nod and leave the table, allowing the siblings some privacy.
"What did you want to talk about?" Osoro asked.
"Listen, I got out of jail some time ago," he started.
"How did you get out?" Osoro asked.
"I was bailed out."
"By who?"
"the guy refused me to tell anyone else about him," Osoru explained before getting back on topic, "anyway. Back to the topic. So I got bailed out and I decided to get my own place up in Maza town."
"Yeah?" his sister asked as she listened in.
"Osoro, I want you to move back in with me. I got us a nice place in a good neighbourhood and we'll be safe there. I can easily find a job," he said causing his sister's eyes to widen.
Osoro couldn't believe it. He wanted her to move back in with him. Sure he was her brother and she would love to be with him again but she couldn't just leave her new family, "O-Osoru, I… I can't."
"What? What do you mean, you can't?" he asked her as his fists clenched.
"O-Osoru, I missed you quite a lot while we've been separated but I can't just run off with you," Osoro explained, "I have a family here."
"What about me, aren't I your family?" Osoru asked as he clenched his fist, "I'm your brother. I'm all you've got left."
Osoro felt her eyes begin to sting, "that's not true, Osoru. I do have family out here. They've looked after me for a long time and I can't just betray them by ditching them."
"You don't want to betray them the way you betrayed me?" he asked with bitterness in his voice.
"No, it's not like that," Osoro said when a few tears rolled down her face, "I didn't betray you."
"Well then, what did you do if you didn't betray me?" he asked, "what happened to us staying together no matter what? What happened to us having each other's backs forever?"
Osoro felt a sense of guilt. Of course she remembered everything. She's the one that made those promises.
Flashback
"Where are you taking us officer?" a younger Osoru asked as he held his sleeping sister close to him as they rode the police car.
"Well, we're taking you somewhere safe for you both. You'll be happy there," the policeman responded as he kept his eyes on the road.
"What about mom and dad?" the boy asked as he had realised there was no sign of them.
"They're… somewhere else," he responded before stopping the car, "you'll be fine here."
"I want my mom and dad!" he shouted causing his sister to wake up.
"They'll come get you soon alright," the cop said before stepping out of the car and opening for the children, "they told me to leave you here while they worked. They'll be here to get you soon."
The children stepped out and followed the man to a large house. There were a lot of kids running around on the outside. Some of them even stopped to stare at the two blondes approaching the house.
"why are they looking at me like that?" Osoro asked as she held her brother's hand while they walked.
"I don't know," was all she got until they reached the entrance and the officer knocked.
A few minutes later, a woman opened the door. She was a nun who appeared to be in her thirties. She smiled when she saw the officer who had taken off his cap, "good morning, Officer Yagami."
"Good morning, Sister Kyoshi," he responded while holding his cap, "how are you?"
"Oh I'm doing fine," she smiled back before turning to face the kids, "hello children," she greeted to which neither of them responded, "eh, aren't they the sweetest little angels?"
"Uh, sure," Yagami responded, "anyway, I brought these kids to you because they needed a home."
"Oh, thank you so much," Sister Kyoshi responded before looking at the kids, "you two should head in right away and play with your friends," she said causing the kids to walk past her. She then looked at the officer.
"One more thing," he said, "the children don't know their parents are dead."
Little did the adults know that Osoru had heard what he had just said but decided to shrug it off. He then approached a group of kids who were surrounding Osoro.
"Look at her, she's so dirty," one child said while pointing at her.
"Yeah, she's such a mop-head," another one said while everyone else started laughing and pointing causing the younger girl to cry.
Osoru felt his blood boil with rage. He growled before lunging at the group of kids and began fight them while his sister cried.
He managed to beat up a few before all of a sudden they all ran off. He rushed towards his sister and pulled her into a hug, "don't cry, you're safe now." All of a sudden he sensed a presence behind him and when he turned around, he locked eyes with another nun who had a scowl on her face.
"What is the meaning of this?" she boomed causing both children to stare at her.
"Mother Francesca," Sister Kyoshi said, "these are new children."
"That doesn't explain why they were fighting."
"They must've been bullied," she explained, "look, just give them a bit of time and they'll be fine."
"As you say," Mother Francesca sighed before walking off.
Time had passed and it was time for the Shidesu kids to head to bed. They were separated and Osoru was sent to the boys' room while Osoru was sent to the girls' room.
Osoru walked through the room towards a bed at the end of the room. As he made his way, all the boys were quiet and were watching him. He got onto his bed and lay down facing the wall. He could then hear whispers but ignored them as he found himself getting sleepy.
Suddenly he heard a voice yelling, "go!" before he felt himself being beaten up. The boys were beating him and threw him onto the floor and began to stomp him. He was defenceless.
"Why do you look like that?" a girl asked Osoro while the other girls surrounded her.
"What do you mean?" she asked as she felt intimidated.
"You're dirty, smelly, ugly, ugh, there's so much I can't mention," she said causing the other girls to laugh.
"Look at her, she looks like the Grinch!" another one said as they laughed.
Osoro felt her eyes sting as they laughed at her. All she wanted was to find her brother as he was the only one who could make her feel safe.
She ran out of the room wailing on her way to the boys' room. She entered the room ran towards her brother who was being assaulted by the other boys.
"Can you all get back to sleep!" Mother Francesca yelled causing the boys to scatter onto their beds leaving the siblings on their own. She looked at them and felt a bit of sympathy for them, "you two should follow me."
Mother Francesca then led them to a spare room that had a double bed, "you can sleep here for now. Rest up."
As the woman left, the siblings ran up to the bed and hopped onto it. Osoru sighed as he looked at his whimpering sister. He then pulled her into a hug, "don't cry. We'll be okay."
"Okay," she said before sniffling.
"We should get some rest," he said while lying down and beginning to doze off.
"Osoru?"
"Yeah?"
"We're going to stay together no matter what, right?"
"Uh, yes," he responded while looking at her.
"We'll have each other's backs forever, right?"
"Yes," he responded before she turned and smiled at him.
"Goodnight."
"Goodnight."
End of Flashback
"Osoru, I…"
"You what?" he asked angrily, "you've abandoned me. First you get adopted into some nice family and enjoy yourself there. Next you visit me giving me hope and all of a sudden you stopped checking on me," he started, "I thought that maybe your family found out and kept you from seeing me and now I can tell you just stopped caring about me."
"Please, that's not what I meant," Osoro continued.
"What did you mean then?" he growled, "you never came to see me and I bet you never even remembered about me. What could that possibly mean?"
Osoro then stood up as tears rolled down her face. She suddenly began to feel like a very bad person. He was right, she did forget about him. She abandoned him, "I can't talk right now," she said with her voice cracking and began to walk towards the exit.
"You can't just walk out on me!" he spat as he followed her outside the bar.
He walked up to her and grabbed her by the arm, "where do you think you're going?"
"I'm going home," she responded between sniffles, "please let go of me."
"You're coming back with me," he said as he began to pull her, "you're going where you belong. With me."
"Osoru, please let go of me!" she cried, "I can't go with you."
"Why?" he asked before his hand was pulled off of her.
"Because she doesn't want to go with you," the president said while standing in front of her, "you're making her uncomfortable. You should leave."
"You can't tell me what to do, princess," he growled as he began to approach her but felt himself being shoved back.
"Stay away from my sister," the ex-president growled as he stood in between them.
"Took you long enough," Megami said to her brother.
"I would've been faster if you weren't so bad at giving directions," he responded before his sister flipped him off. He rolled his eyes before facing the blonde.
"Posh, long time no see," Osoru said, "the last time I saw you, I bashed your balls."
"Yeah, so?" he responded before looking at Osoro, "you should head over to my car with Megami."
"What, Osoro, you're coming back with your real brother," Osoru said, "not these rich folk that consider you a charity case."
"Osoru, you better leave her alone," Megamo said as the two girls walked away.
"Yeah, or else what?" Osoru asked, "you gonna fight me and lose again?"
"I'm not going to fight you," the silverrette responded calmly.
"Tsk," he said before shoving him back, "If you're not going to fight me that's fine. It'll make it easier for me to take you down again." He then began to walk up to him but stopped.
"I won't let you hit him," Rina said as she walked up and stood beside the ex-president. She then wrapped her armed around his, "You should get going Osoru."
"Y-You're with him, now?" Osoru asked. A sense hurt in his body.
"Yes, I'm with him now," she responded.
Osoru couldn't help but feel betrayed, "w-why are you with him?"
"Because he makes me happy," she responded, "much happier than you ever did."
"Tsk!" Osoru said before glaring at the silverrette, "you've taken everything from me. You took my sister and even my woman!" he then turned around, "It's not over Saikou." With that, he walked off.
Rina then looked up at him, "How did you even get here in the first place?"
"Megami called me saying Osoro was in danger and gave me the directions here," he explained while looking down at her.
"You should really look after her," Rina said while looking at her boyfriend's car, "she really needs all the support she can get."
"Don't worry. I love her just as I do Megami. Maybe even more," he responded before Rina lightly punched his arm.
"No, you, idiot. You have to love them equally," she said before pulling him into a kiss and then separated, "you should go home."
"Yeah, I'll see you later," he said before walking towards his car where he found Osoro crying on Megami's shoulder. He shared a quick glance with his sister before looking at his phone, "how about I take you girls out for some fun."
Kenji walked around the large house with a book in his hands. He wanted his mother to sign his homework but she was nowhere to be seen. He pressed the doorbell to the master bedroom and heard Kiyoteru yell a come in.
He opened the door and found the businessman at his desk. He glanced around and his mother still wasn't around. He then looked at his step-father, "Hey Kiyo, where's mom?"
"She hasn't yet come home from work," he responded, "what do you need?"
"I need her to sign my homework," he responded.
"I can sign it for you?" he offered.
"No thanks," Kenji said, "They asked for my parent's signature. Not her husband's," he responded.
"Okay then," Kiyoteru responded before he turned back to his computer and continued working.
Kenji then went and sat on the edge of the bed to wait for his mother to return. Normally he wouldn't care much about his mother but she had been giving him quite the treatment ever since the Shiori incident.
Suddenly, the door opened revealing his mother looking exhausted. She yawned before walking into the room. Kenji rose from his seat and approached her, "Hey mom I…" he started as she just walked past him and placed her bag on the dresser and then walked towards her husband.
"Hey snugbug," she greeted as they shared a short kiss.
"Hi," he smiled before she sat in his lap, "you look exhausted."
"I am," she responded before leaning against him, "I had to go for a meeting with counsellors from the region."
"Funny, I have conferences this week too."
Kenji couldn't help but feel hurt by the way his mother ignored him. He sighed and then walked out of the bedroom and made his way to the lower floor.
He walked up to his bedroom and stood by the door. Before he could enter, he heard the elevator open and his siblings walked in laughing.
"He goes like 'your father did a terrible job raising you' and I'm like 'at least my dad has a job'" the president said causing her siblings to laugh.
"You should really learn to hold your tongue sis," Megamo said between chuckles.
"Why is everyone telling me that?" he whined jokingly.
"You know what guys," Osoro started, "thanks for making my night great. I appreciate it."
"No problem," they responded in unison before they glared at each other.
"Hey, I bet she was talking to me because I'm the one that took us there," Megamo started.
"No way, I brought all the fun drama to this trip so it's me," Megami responded.
"Calm down guys," Osoro said, "both of you guys made my night."
"Ugh, you should have been specific," Megami said.
"Yeah, what's the big deal?" Megamo said.
"Whoa, don't gang up on me," she said before they all laughed.
"Listen Osoro," Megamo started, "no matter what. We're going to be there for you," he said as Megami nodded beside him, "if you need anything or you've got something to share we'll be ready for you one hundred percent. You're one of us, okay?"
"Yeah, thanks guys. I love you," she said as they entered a group hug.
"We love you more," Megami responded before they all separated and noticed Kenji staring.
"You okay, Kenji?" Osoro asked before the younger boy quickly entered his room and slammed the door behind him, leaving everyone looking at each other.
