Gilligan and his group were left with no choice but to sleep out near the mountain base as the sun soon began to set. Traveling by dark was not prefered and everyone was too tired now to even try and ride or fly back. Much to the team's relief, however, the dragons finally stopped their raid.
"Damned beasts." Carder spat. "They attack us, then before we could kill any of them they fly away." He said as he kicked an ember from the smoldering ground.
"It was indeed unusual." Gilligan acknowledged. "It was as if they were trying to stop us from leaving. But why?"
"Beats me. All I know is that Demon is probably in our home destroying it as we speak." Said Seravis with a bitter tone.
"I'm not so sure." Said Carder, thinking hard.
"What are you saying? You saw how he attacked us, didn't you?"
"That's my point. He was the one who challenged us to a Duel."
"Yeah? And he humiliated us!"
"You don't get it! It wasn't a Death Duel. He could have easily killed us if that was the case. So why go through the trouble of Dueling us and not take advantage of a Death Duel?" Carder stated with a raised voice.
Orchid leaned over to Keinath. "What exactly is a Death Duel?"
"In a normal Duel, the loser will survive with whatever life force they had before the final move against them is made. In a Death Duel, the loser will die." The elf boy summarized.
"So he could laugh at us. Make us feel weak compared to him. Well it won't work on me! When I see him again, I'll make him regret ever thinking about humiliating me!" Seravis proclaimed with his fist in the air.
"Did you by chance get their name?" Asked Orobus as he sat himself heavily on the floor.
"It was Drager or somethin'." Seravis sighed bitterly.
"Draegor, you idiot." Carder corrected him.
Orchid felt another jolt within herself. "So you gonna tell me now? Is this Demon someone you know?" She asked him angrily.
Young sighed. "I do know that name, and I am afraid things could be bad."
"How so?"
"To start, they are not a Demon, however, their personality gives off that sort of impression, but I must find them as soon as possible. Otherwise people might get hurt." Young explained.
Orchid didn't know what to think for a moment. "So there's some crazed mad-man running around the capital right now and you know of them and didn't say anything?!" She thought-yelled.
"I needed to be certain." Young answered.
"Certain of what?"
"That it was them."
"Why?!"
There was a long pause before Young finally answered her. "Because he is my friend."
"So if I'm understanding you two correctly, the Demon Draegor challenged you to a Duel and won. What was the condition?" Gilligan asked.
"He said if he won then we couldn't stop him from… entering… the city…" Carder answered and soon understood.
"What?" Seravis asked.
"The dragons. They've been attacking us because that Demon won. That must mean that the only reason they stopped is because he got what he wanted." Carder explained.
Without a moment's hesitation, Gilligan stood straight. "Men, at the first sight of light, we leave for the capital."
