Hey guys. Welcome back to another chapter of AAU. I hope you're enjoying yourselves so far. Anyway, shout out to all my followers and favourites. I appreciate all the love. Oh and you might wanna read some parts of this chapter using google translate. I'm sorry if it'll be cringey because this is my first time writing using a lot of another language.
Chapter 47: The apple doesn't fall far from the tree… Right?
"You look angry," Genka said as she walked out of the Jacuzzi in her red bathrobe and a towel over her hair. She looked at her husband who was seated hunched over on the bed.
"Genka, I just made a woman cry," he groaned while raising his face to lock eyes with her.
"Why?" she asked while sitting next to him, "What happened?"
"Genka it was that boy," he started.
"Jin?"
"Yes, Jin," he confirmed, "I'm coming from briefly attending to someone when I fine Jin locking lips with the maid that was supposed to deliver my wine ages ago. Honestly, I'm trying but I just don't understand that boy."
"Let's lie down," she said as they both entered the bed covers. She then got closer to him and snuggled against his chest, "perhaps there's a reason."
"Reason for what?" he asked while stroking her brown hair.
"For why he acts the way he does," she explained, "from my experience as a guidance counsellor, I've learnt that to help someone, you have to understand where they are coming from."
"I see…"
"So let's try and think about this. How is Yuki's relationship with Anzu?"
"According to Yuki, he says nothing much really happens between the two of them," Kiyoteru started, "however, he says that they started getting intimate occasionally after what you told him."
"Well, has Yukiteru ever been love with Anzu?" she asked, "or was it some sort of arranged or forced marriage?"
"Well when you mention it. I'm not sure," he started before glancing at the ceiling, "let me try and remember…"
Flashback
"Welcome to Kakashi Village my boys," a much younger Otosan said as he walked with his sons on the gravel path as two body guards followed them close behind.
"It's so beautiful," Kamiteru, the third born, said as he glanced around the village. There were several houses and other small buildings that were surrounded with a gorgeous mountain range with forests and a large river sourcing from a lake.
"Why are we here anyway?" Yoshiteru asked while glancing around as many of the locals were staring at them, "I don't like the way these people are looking at us."
"Last time I checked, father said not to ask any questions until we got where we were going," Yukiteru growled while looking back at his youngest brother.
"No it's fine, Yukiteru," Otosan said before he started to explain, "Yoshiteru, we're here because SaikouCorp would like to open a machine assembly point here and we have to speak to the chief."
"Since when do you ask for permission," Yoshiteru asked again, "you just build wherever you feel like."
"The law has changed," their father responded before all of a sudden a man walked up to them.
He was middle aged and had jet black hair under a straw hat. On his slightly thin body he wore green robes, "Mr. Saikou," he greeted.
"Chief Yamada," Otosan said before bowing which confused his sons who wondered why he was the one bowing. He then glanced at them, "show some respect," he growled causing them to boy.
"Welcome to Kuroneko village," the chief welcomed them before turning, "allow us to welcome you with a special performance." Even though he spoke English, they all could tell that he was struggling.
"Thank you very much, Chief Yamada," Otosan responded, "oh let me not be rude. These are my sons."
"Good morning Chief Yamada," the younger Saikou men greeted.
"Korera no shonen-tachi wa Oku no wakai josei o hikitsukerudeshou," he commented before turning around, "please follow me to the palace." He then began to lead them.
Otosan then turned to his sons, "speaking of young women, I expect all of you to behave yourselves while we are here."
"Yes, father," they all responded before they followed the chief and their father.
They arrived in a building larger than all the others in the village. A group of maidens ushered them into a hall and sat them on one end that was opposite two sets of doors. One on the far right and the other on the far left. The maidens then gave them the drinks.
"I hope you enjoy the show," Chief Yamada said before both sets of doors opened and women gracefully pranced into the room. From the right, women in red entered while on the left, women in white, covering their faces with fans entered.
They all had heavy make up on as they danced but those in white had it on the lighter side. They all stopped as both groups looked at each other for a moment before the ones in red walked towards those in white and began to act as though instructing them.
"Uh, chief Yamada," Yoshiteru asked the older man who glanced at him, "why are some of them in white and covering their faces?"
"Well, that's because they are… how do you say this in English…" he struggled, "well in the language they are called, Bajin."
"Bajin?" Yoshi thought about it while trying to interpret that.
"He means virgins, genius," Kiyoteru clarified, "how do you still have trouble understanding your own language?"
"Ugh, leave me alone," Yoshi grunted before looking at the women, "wouldn't you want to have one of those beauties tonight?"
"Miya and I are already going steady," Kiyoteru said before looking at his elder brother who seemed bored. He then glanced at the dancers and noticed that one of the virgins kept her eyes on the eldest Saikou son, "I think Yukiteru might get lucky tonight."
"What do you mean?" Yoshiteru asked while trying to understand.
"That really pretty one can't keep her eyes off of him," Kiyoteru said while pointing at said dancer.
"Man…" he complained, "and Yuki isn't even interested. She should be looking at me and I can give her a good time."
"You're an idiot."
Yukiteru sat close to his father as the women danced. He felt himself getting bored by the performance. Really, all that mattered to him was becoming CEO so he just had to attend all of his father's programs to keep himself in positive light.
The dance then proceeded to a point when the women in red gathered in a group and watched while those in white did solos. Each of them showing their individual skill.
"My, Chief Yamada," Otosan said, "this is a beautiful dance."
"Why yes, women are trained and only the best get to perform," the chief responded.
Yuki, however, wasn't impressed. Even the best of the dancers, who kept her eyes on him the whole time, didn't catch his attention.
"You know, these women are skilled," the chief started, "they would make excellent wives for your sons."
"I wouldn't doubt that," Otosan then glanced at his eldest son, "my boy here needs a wife before he can take over my position so he better get to work," he laughed with the chief while patting his son's back.
One thing Yukiteru hadn't thought about was marriage which, in fact, he had to do first before being given the position. He was already in good terms with his father and that's what he was missing. There was only one woman he actually had feelings for but she was with someone else. His younger brother's pathetic friend. "Tch!" he scoffed.
"Is everything okay, Yukiteru?" his father asked with a slight glare in his eyes.
"O-Oh, yes," he responded, "I just remembered something."
"Well you should remember things in a politer manner," the older man sighed as the performance ended and the dancers left the room.
"Kami," Yoshiteru said to his elder brother.
"Yes, Yoshi?"
"Escort me somewhere," he said while getting up.
"Where are you going?" He asked while getting nervous, "have you asked father?" he was a very nervous young man.
"Come on. We won't take long," he said before dragging him off with him.
"Chief Yamada. We appreciate the hospitality you have shown us so far," Otosan said as the chief nodded, "but I believe it's about time we discuss my proposal."
"Yes," the chief agreed, "your proposal is indeed great but I cannot accept it."
"How come? I offered to pay you as much as you wanted and compensate for every villager here," Otosan started.
"This is taking a negative turn," Kiyoteru said to his brother as they walked behind the men.
"Hmm…" he responded with a nod.
"Yes and that is a very large amount but this is a land that has been ruled by my fore fathers to thrive. As a matter of fact, my father sent me to school in the city to get educated just so I could rule this land to the best I can. That's why I'm the only one that can speak English around here," the chief explained, "this land cannot be sold for any amount of money as it is my duty to protect and develop it."
Otosan couldn't believe this man refused an offer from a Saikou. A Saikou. He felt himself losing his temper but he calmed himself down, "perhaps we can discuss this further?"
"We can talk all that you want but you cannot change my mind," the Chief said firmly.
Later on in the late afternoon, the young Saikou men sat in the shared room they were given while their father was out trying to negotiate.
"Guys, I assure you she was the freshest chick I've ever met," Yoshiteru explained.
"Are you talking about the pretty dancer?" Kiyoteru asked as he was texting on his phone. Probably Miya.
"Yes, I went up to her and she was all over me," he explained.
"He's bluffing," Kamiteru exposed, "he could barely come up with a single sentence so I had to translate and speak for him."
"Not cool, brother," Yoshiteru sighed, "anyway, am I the only one who noticed the way she looked at Yuki?" he asked as two of his elder brothers agreed to noticing, "brother, you should so talk to her."
"I have no time for women," Yukiteru responded while reading a book.
"Come on, Yuki, she's fresh," Yoshiteru said.
"Maybe he's just scared of women in reality," Kiyoteru commented before picking up a call, "Hello Miya."
"Please, at least I don't masturbate," Yukiteru commented.
"It was only that once and I was fourteen," Kiyoteru responded with a blush before returning to the call, "sorry, it was just my elder brother."
"Once when I caught you anyway," he smirked before pouring a bottle of Sake into a glass and drinking it. Suddenly, and idea hit him, "Yoshiteru, what was the dancer's name?"
"Oh, she said her name was Anzu," he said before also taking a drink, "wait, where are you going?" he asked as his eldest brother got up.
"I'm going to pay Anzu a visit," he said before walking out of the room. If he was going to get on his father's best side, it was going to be through his idea.
He then started to make his way towards the centre of to the village where most people were. He glanced around while trying to find the young woman. She was a virgin so she was probably wearing a fan, which would make things difficult for him.
"It's worth it," he said to himself as he walked, "I'll be killing two birds with one stone."
"Kon'nichiwa, anata wa maigo ni narimasu. Tabun watashi wa anata o tasukeru koto ga dekimasu?" a young woman said. He turned to face her and recognised her as one of the women in red. Perhaps she could help him find Anzu.
"Watashi wa Anzu o sagashiteimasu. Dansa no hitori," he responded in the language.
The woman's face went pink before she gained a mischievous smile, "Kanojo wa Chifu no musumedesu. Anata wa kyuden de kanojo o mitsukerudeshou."
"Arigatogozaimasu, yoi hi o," he said before walking off.
The woman only watched as he left, "Itazurana shonen."
Yukiteru walked through the town until he arrived at the palace. He walked up to the door and knocked.
Shortly after, an older woman opened the door, "Konbanwa."
This woman must be her mother. He had to be polite if he would ask to see her daughter, "Konbanwa. Watashinonamaeha Saikoudesu," he introduced with his last name.
"Saikou-san, hajimashite. Don'na goyodeshou ka?" she asked. Obviously because there was a random man at the door.
"Anzu o sagashiteimasu," he said before the woman's face went pink. She then smiled.
"Watashi wa kanojo o tori ni ikimasu," she giggled before walking into the house.
"I haven't had to speak so much Japanese in a while," he groaned.
After a short while, a young woman walked up to the door. She covered her face with a fan but Yukiteru could still tell she was beautiful by the parts he could see. She was in a pink Kimono this time. Perhaps it was what she wore indoors, "Konbanwa, Saikou-san."
"Konbanwa," he greeted before looking her up and down. She was good looking when much closer. He looked at her again and noticed her getting nervous from him checking her out. He used this to his advantage and held her free hand. Her tiny hand was a perfect fit for his, "Anzu. Watashitoisshoni sanpo ni kite kudasai. Watashi wa anata ni nanika o iu hitsuyo ga arimasu." His proposal made the young woman freak out. She was wondering what she would say.
"H-Hai!" she responded quickly and Yukiteru could tell that she cursed at herself for being so accepting.
The silverrette guided her away from the front door and down the gravel path towards the lake. Their walk was silent except for the sound of their footsteps and water flowing.
He guided her to take a seat on a bench and sat on the same bench with some distance as she had insisted.
They sat there in silence before Yukiteru decided to break it, "Anata no dansu o mimashita," he started before gazing at her covered face. He could only see her eyes and could tell that she was wondering about his opinion, "Utsukushikatta."
The young man saw the woman get flustered by his compliment. He could tell that she was mesmerised by him. "A-Arigato," was all she managed to cough up.
To test how far she was willing to go with him, he reached out and tucked some of her hair behind her ear and immediately, she swatted his hand away as she blushed again, "Keii o! Kekkon shite inai josei ni fureru kotow a dekimasen!" she scolded.
Well, she was still not free with him so he had to take it slow, "Moshiwakearimasen," he apologised, "Anata wa tada utsukushi sugimasu," he chuckled before trying to change the situation, "Jiko shokai o onegaishimasu."
"Yoidesu," she said as she approved of the change of topic and began to answer, "Jozu…"
About two hours passed as the two spent time at the lake and it was getting dark.
"Sore wa yokidesu!" she said as she laughed before nudging his shoulder but kept her face hidden. She then sighed and looked at the sky. Yukiteru had managed to get her to loosen up around him and had manage to advance and sit much closer to her. "Y-Yuki-kun," she addressed him by his first name, which he had revealed earlier on.
"Kyo wa tanoshikattakedo…" she started before gazing back into his eyes, "Okurete, chichi ga shinpai suru mae ni ie ni kaeranakereba narimasen," she said but her face went pink because of what he did next.
Yukiteru wasn't going to let his plan fall out when he was just at the peak of everything. He then placed his hand on her knee and gazed into her eyes, "Anzu, watashitoisshoni yoru o sugosu hitsuyo ga arimasu." He knew he was being too forward but he just had to be.
"Y-Yuki-kun…" she started as the visible part of her face was a deep shade of red. He could see her debating in her head by the way her eyes darted from left to right. It took three minutes before she could respond, "H-Hai."
The eldest Saikou son held on to her hand and helped her stand before leading her somewhere. Like their trip to the lake, it was silent and Anzu tried her best to make sure she wasn't seen by anyone.
Eventually, they arrived at an inn and Yukiteru immediately paid the innkeeper who was an elderly woman. Anzu swore the innkeeper looked closely at her as she and Yukiteru walked into one of the rooms.
It was a simple small room with a wooden floor, futon and a candle. Typical for a village.
Yukiteru then turned to face the younger woman, who was looking at the empty room. He couldn't help but admire how uncertain she looked about her decision. She looked back at him and they were locked into a staring competition. He decided to speak, "Idesu ka?" he asked and she blushed because she knew exactly what he meant.
He reached out and slowly closed the fan in her hands before taking it. She really was beautiful. Her pink cheeks and plump lips were covered with red lipstick. It was very attractive to him and he the temptation to make a move but had restraint, "Idesu ka?"
She then nodded before Yukiteru sealed the distance between them with a kiss and then separated. They stared at each other for a moment before locking lips again.
"Are you sure they're here?" Otosan asked as he and Chief Yamada walked towards the small building. He was having a hard time negotiating and didn't want any of his sons to ruin things for him.
"Yes," he responded, "one of the locals said they saw them here."
Otosan opened the door and found the inn keeper at a table playing with some cards. He approached her spoke, "Ohayogozaimasu, dansei to josei ga sakuya koko ni kimashita ka?"
The woman nodded and began to lead them to a room and knocked.
Otosan wasn't going to be patient and decided to bust the door open. He almost fainted when he saw the two asleep together. "Yukiteru Saikou!" he yelled, startling them both, "W-What are you doing?"
The chief also walked in and was shaken to his core, "A-Anzu!" he yelled as both of the young adults started to panic.
"Nani?" Yukiteru said when he sat up, "F-Father, I-I…"
"I don't want to hear it, now get up!" he yelled as his eldest son got up and started to search for an article of clothing. Finally, he managed to find his briefs and throw them on.
"Father calm down," he started before he was smacked.
"I can't calm down! You've embarrassed me!"
"A-Anzu! Koko ni kite!" he yelled before the innkeeper ran over to the girl with a robe in her hands and gave it to her to wear before she stumbled a bit and walked towards her father with difficulty, "Anata wa naniwoshita?"
"Papa…" she started but was cut off when the innkeeper said something.
"Chifu. Kanojo wa mo shojode wa arimasen," the woman said as she checked the sheets and found a blood stain.
The chief almost broke down in shame as he looked at his only daughter among seven children.
Otosan growled when he looked at his son, "You have brought shame to me and disgraced the chief's family!" he yelled at his son, who stayed silent with his arms crossed, "I never raised any of my boys to disappoint me the way you have done to me." He then turned to the chief.
"I'm sorry for my son's behaviour," he said before looking back at Yukiteru, "What do you have to say for yourself?"
"I'll marry her."
"What?" both men asked as they looked at him.
"I said… I'll marry her," Yukiteru repeated, "I'm sorry for my actions for that was foolish of me," he continued before turning to face the chief, "when I am finished with my studies, I will return for your beautiful daughter and you have my word," he said before bowing and taking a knee while looking at both the chief and his daughter, "Gomen'nasai."
"You deflowered his daughter and you think you can just apologize!" Otosan yelled.
"Actually, Mr. Saikou, it is okay," the chief said.
"W-What?"
"Yes it's okay," he said with a smile, "I respect your son's sense of honour and I believe that you've raised your other boys well too. For his humility, I forgive him."
"Thank you," Yukiteru said as the older man urged him to stand and he did.
"I think your son would make a great husband for my daughter," he said before looking at his daughter, "I'll see you later."
Otosan watched in shock as the chief walked out with his daughter. He was about to turn when the chief said something.
"Oh and Mr. Saikou."
"Yes?"
"Seeing as we might be related soon," he started, "I think I'll be willing to discuss more about the land with you later today." with that, he walked out.
Otosan couldn't believe the way things turned out. His chances with the land were bright.
"You're welcome."
Otosan turned around and found his son smirking at him, "You, clever boy," he smiled at him.
"Well, I helped you get a land and have found a wife," Yukiteru started, "what else do I need to ensure my taking over?"
"This was all your plan, wasn't it," the father of four asked before laughing, "that's why you're my favourite son. Now, dress up," he said as his son started to dress up.
"So… am I expecting a grandson?"
"I sure hope not."
End of Flashback
"And from that story… I really can't tell if he was in love or not," Kiyoteru said.
"Sounds like he was just using her to gain your father's favour," Genka responded.
"But then again, it was just what he narrated to us back then," Kiyoteru sighed, "knowing him. He might've just failed to admit that he did have feelings for her."
"When you think about it, that does sound like something your brother would do," she responded.
"But then again," Kiyoteru started, "when he got married, he seemed genuinely happy. When Anzu gave birth to Jin. He adored his family. He would take them on trips, get them shiploads of gifts. He would spend a lot of time with them. He was a family guy and was best friends with Jin."
"Well, what happened to change all of that?" she asked as she couldn't get why things were the way they were in the current situation when he had such a happy life.
Kiyoteru sighed as he now realised exactly why things were the way they were, "when I was picked to take over the company instead of him, he was heartbroken. He continuously questioned father about it and when he realised there was no changing his mind, he locked himself away and entered some serious depression. He even gave up alcohol ever since. There is no Saikou that doesn't enjoy alcohol."
Genka could sense her husband feeling a sense of guilt as he spoke. She did nothing but decided to continue to listen, "When his family tried to comfort him, it's like he remembered the only reason he had a family was to get the same position he didn't and soon he just pushed them away and began to focus strictly on work. Anzu was left feeling like she didn't have a husband when he stopped sleeping in the same room as her."
"Wait, what?"
"Yes," he confirmed, "she came crying to Miya about it and she told my father and I about it so I decided to talk to him. It was very difficult because Yuki almost killed me but I managed to get him to share a room with her again but he would only sleep there and nothing else."
"What about Jin?"
"He completely ghosted his only son at such a tender age. He stopped being there for him," Kiyoteru explained.
"I bet as he is an only child, he desired his father's attention which was the only attention he could get," Genka said as her husband nodded.
"He tried his best to get his father to spend time with him but failed every time. He even began to feel inadequate because Yuki would always compare him to Megamo so he made it his aim to try and best Megamo at everything and even when he did beat Megamo at something, Yuki never cared," the businessman then sighed as he realised, "the one time he did get Yuki's attention was when he got in trouble at school for smoking."
"And I assume he continued to get into trouble to receive more attention," Genka deduced.
"Correct," Kiyoteru nodded, "but even then, Yuki quickly stopped caring. Unfortunately, Jin got exposed to vices like sex, alcohol and weed. I believe he found enjoyment in them and felt like he had all the attention he could ever want from those things and soon he just started to turn to those things for comfort."
"But what about Anzu? Wasn't she there for him?"
"She tried her best to be there for him as a mother but he didn't want that. He wanted his father's approval over everything else so his mother couldn't even control him no matter how hard she tried," he continued, "And because he never got to grow up properly, he developed into the fragile and childish person he is today. What's sad is that my mother and his mother are the only ones who ever really show him love."
"That's sad…"
"I now feel guilty for getting angry with him all those times," he said.
"You know you're a lucky man, right?" Genka said while looking up at him.
"What?"
"I just realised that Megami could have turned out exactly like Jin," she deadpanned, "You should really be grateful for your children."
"Heh… I never realised that," he said before wiping his eyes, "I can assure you that I adore my little angels with my whole heart and I think Jin deserves the love too."
"He sure does," she responded before reaching lower into the blankets, "and I think you do, too."
"Oh you, naughty girl," he purred before reaching into a drawer in the end tables and putting what he got into his mouth, "Let's do this."
Hey guys. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and again I apologize if the Japanese made you cringe. I was trying to make it seem realistic. But if you liked it, thanks. Once again, shout out to all those that have followed this story. I love you all.
