Hey guys. Welcome back to another chapter of AAU. I'm glad to know you're all still here. Anyways, here is another might be long chapter. By the way, I may not be too accurate when it comes to some sports.

Chapter 49: Physical activity Part 1: Decision making and heavy duty training.

"That's how one's confidence is affected by past events," Mido said as he taught the psychology lesson.

"But Mr. Rana," Midori started.

"Yes, Midori?" Mido asked as he leaned against the lectern.

"If one's confidence can be affected by the past then can it be affected by the future?" she asked as her classmates all groaned.

'How are you still in my class?' the teacher thought before trying to answer the question, "Well… the future will show the results of the past and in this case, the person's confidence will be shown in the future as a result of the past…and I still haven't answered your question," he then sighed, "meet me during club time."

"Aw, but the gaming club is meeting today."

"I said… meet me during club time," he said, "at this rate I might have to pull you out of extracurricular activities if you don't get serious."

"Okay…" she wined before starting again, "Oh, Mr. Rana!"

"Yes Midori…"

"How's Mrs. Rana and the baby?" she asked.

"W-Well, they're doing fine, actually," the teacher smiled, "I can't wait to get home to them."

"Aww… what's the baby's name?" Kokona asked.

"Oh her name is Sayori," he said before sighing.

"What's the matter, Kokona? You wondering what he named your love child?" Musume whispered to the twin drilled girl. Who ended up blushing in embarrassment.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door, "Come in!" the teacher said before the doors slid open to reveal the Sports Club president; holding a Saikoupad, "Yes Miss Rito?"

"Oh, Good Afternoon Mr. Rana," she greeted before bowing, "I just need to make an announcement."

"Couldn't you have just passed it from the broadcasting room?" he asked the girl.

"There are some technical difficulties so I just had to do this in person," she explained.

"Well won't you get tired of announcing in each class?"

"What? Nah!" she shook her head, "a little announcing isn't some bothersome task. Heck, this is the second to last class I've been to."

"Alright then," he nodded, "make your announcement."

The athlete then turned to face the class room, "Alright boys and girls, I'm here to tell you all that this Friday we'll be having Akademi's first Inter-class Sports' Day," she announced as the members of the class began to groan and complain, "Come on guys."

"Hey now class," Mido said to keep them quiet, "don't be lazy. This is a good thing." He then turned to the athlete, "you may continue."

"Alright, anyway each class is supposed to produce participants for the following events," she then proceeded to scroll through the device, "There will be track and field events, aquatics events, archery, Karate and Kendo. The scheduling of these events will be communicated. Right now, I'll advise that your class rep organizes you all." She then looked up at the class members, "Any questions?"

"So what happens if you don't produce anyone to participate?" Saki asked.

"Well…"

"Let me answer that," Mido stepped in, "if you choose not to participate or lose, class 3-1 will become the school's janitors and groundskeepers for the whole week," he said as his students all groaned.

"You heard your teacher," Asu chuckled as she scratched the back of her head, "any other questions?" The class remained silent. "I'll be leaving then. Thank you… wait, make sure you tell your families about it. You could use the support." She then left the room.

"Well, I've been in need for a reason to not teach so listen up," Mido started, "Saki."

"Yes Mr. Rana?" she asked while the class was quiet.

"You should take charge and organise the participants now," he said before grabbing his phone, "I'll be out for a bit and I'll check on the list when I'm back."

"Okay, sir," she said as he walked out. She then grabbed a notepad and walked up to his lectern, "let's try and do this quickly. Who's up for… 100 metre sprint?"

The class was quiet as no one seemed to be interested, "Guys, come on. You heard what Mr. Rana said. We'll end up cleaning the whole school."

"Hey Kaga are you doing anything?" Megami asked the scientist seated right next to her.

"Oh no, I'm not the athletic type. You know that," he said while writing something in a fancy black book, "How about you? I know you're physically fit."

"Nope," she shook her head, "I'm not interested in competitive sports anymore."

"I'll do it for the girls," Midori raised her hand while staring at her phone screen.

"Okay so Midori will do girls' 100-metre sprint," Saki said as she took note, "boys?" she asked and none of them seemed interested. Some of them were even asleep on their desks, "Aw come on. None of you is over nineteen and yet you're all acting like lazy old farts."

"Kaga will do it," the president said while pushing the scientist's hand up.

"W-What! No," he said before putting his hand down, "I can't run." His attempts were in vain as Saki had already written down his name, "if I'm doing something then you are too."

"Says who?" Megami asked while looking right at him. He couldn't force her to do anything so he just sighed.

"Okay, to make this fair, everyone has to participate in at least something," the class rep said as everyone started to complain, "I'm not changing my mind just so you know." She then continued to ask, "200m sprint?"

The rest of the afternoon went on as the class argued about who would do what. There was the occasional stubborn person to yell at until they agreed and the undecided person they had to yell at to settle.

"Okay so… archery?" she asked as everyone kept quiet, "this one isn't gender specific."

"Hey Saki," Musume started to catch her attention, "Kizana took part in archery in junior high."

"What! It was for a play," the actress snapped as Saki wrote down her name. she then glared at the blonde gossip before sighing, "We are so… losing the competition."

"Kendo?" Saki asked while glancing around.

"I'll do it," Osoro said as she raised her hand.

"Now that's the spirit we need," the rep said before asking, "finally… Karate."

Everyone was silent as no one even wanted to think of being the first to fall at the hands of Budo Masuta. The only sound that could be heard was the sound of breathing or pages flipping, "guys?"

"Megami can do it," Kaga while raising his hand before the president slammed his hand onto the desk. "Ouch!"

"No I can't," she refused as the scientist nursed his sore arm.

"Why not?" Saki asked as the class started to murmur.

"I don't want to."

"Come on…" Saki groaned, "half the people in this class don't want to but they are participating."

"I don't want to do anything."

"Well you have to."

"Don't waste your time," Musume shouted, "just write her down."

"Even if you write my name," the silverrette started, "I just won't show up."

"You're the student council president," Saki pointed out, "you just have to be there."

"Yeah, you're not the only one that's afraid to get their hands dirty," Kashiko shouted, "so quit being a stubborn bitch and suck it up!"

Despite the temptation to fire back, the president kept her cool, "Listen, I can't participate in all of this okay?" she then looked at Kashiko, "bad language is an offence that is punishable so watch your tongue."

"Bitch please!" she responded before leaning back as the class started to make noise about the situation.

Kaga then turned to face the girl next to him. She had given up on trying to defend herself and just sat quietly "hey, you're the only one left. Why don't you just do it?"

"Like I said," she started before looking back at him, "I just don't want to."

"Guys, let's not get aggressive about all of this," Akane tried to step in, "I'm sure there's a perfectly civil way to sort this out."

"There's no way we should be begging her to do something for the class," Kashiko said as everyone murmured in agreement.

"What she's saying is that we shouldn't be yelling at people like this," Kizana added.

"Oh no, just because it's her we're attacking, you want to step in?" Musume butt in, "you didn't say this thirty minutes ago!" and once again the class broke into an argument.

Saki could only sigh as everyone made noise. The doors slid open and Mr. Rana stepped in looking angry.

"Hey! Can you all shut up!" he yelled as the class went dead silent. He then looked at his class rep, "I step out for a bit knowing that everything is under control and next thing I'm hearing noise complaints from the guidance counsellor! Saki what happened?"

"Well sir," she said before smirking in Megami's direction, "we were just assigning activities to people when we were left with Karate and Megami was the only one left without a sport," she continued, "we told her to do it but she has been refusing to do it."

"That's not a reason to yell like that," he said before looking at the class, "you all should be ashamed of yourselves for acting so childish and uncivil. There is no way you can start arguing and shouting like that," he continued, "Now, Megami may be your classmate but she is your Student Council President and you must show her utmost respect no matter what. None of you here know what she has to do for all of you ungrateful brats. Did any of you know that nose new vending machines that you spend so much on were as a result of her suggestions?"

"Way to inflate her ego," Musume quietly commented.

"I know right," Kizana responded before they shared a quick glance and rolled their eyes.

The teacher then sighed before looking at the president, "I'm sorry for the misbehaviour."

"It's fine sir," Megami responded before explaining, "actually, I was being a bit of a bother to them all."

"I'm glad you're fine then," he said, "So will you take part in the competition."

"Yeah, no problem."

He then remembered something, "you all will be expected to be in maroon clothes on that day. That's the class colour."

"Why maroon?" Kokona asked.

"That's my favourite colour," he responded before looking at his watch, "what time will the bell ring?"

As if on cue, the bell rang, signalling that it was class over, "It's quitting time," Mido said before picking up his papers, "see you tomorrow kids. Daddy's gotta go home."

The class started to leave when Saki stopped them, "Guys, before you go?"

"We'll train on our own now move!" one of the students said as they left the room.

"You are so lucky you're an authority figure around here," Kaga said as he organised his stuff, "what could have happened if you were never involved with the student council in the first place?"

"Well…" Megami responded before putting her bag over her shoulder, "let's just say that majority of the girls in this class would have had traumatic experiences and I would've been expelled a long time ago."

"Are you serious?" he asked as they walked outside their classroom.

"With the way your classmates act," she said before sighing, "can't blame them though. I was a bitch back then."

"Only then?" he asked before she punched his arm, "okay, heh, enjoy your meeting."

"You too," she said before they separated.

"That's exactly why I think red wine is the best alcoholic beverage," Kiyoteru said as the family had dinner.

"I beg to differ," Jin stepped in, "Tequila shots do me justice any day."

"See now Jin, Tequila is good when you need to get drunk but wine is very tasty."

"Just why is the topic of discussion alcohol?" Genka asked interrupting the men.

"Alcohol is something worth a lot of discussion. A man can never truly know his favourite drink without taking time to talk about it," Kiyoteru responded before looking at Jin, "isn't that right my boy?"

"Sure is," he responded.

"You Saikous and your alcohol."

"The hell are you calling Jin your boy for?" Megamo muttered to himself while he ate.

"Are you jealous?" Osoro asked from beside him.

"It's not right. I'm his boy," he responded causing the blonde to chuckle.

"Alright. Enough about alcohol," Genka finally said, "how was everyone's day?"

"It was great," Kiyoteru responded.

"Best working day yet," Jin answered.

"Could've been better," Megamo said.

"It was great. We had a math test and I passed," Kenji said, "I got a sixty-five percent!" he said proudly.

"It sure is an improvement from last time," Kiyoteru commented before his wife nudged him, "Great work, Kenji."

"You did great sweetie," Genka said before looking at Osoro.

"It was eventful but still okay," she responded calmly.

"Megami?' Genka asked as she noticed the silverrette playing with her food, "are you okay?"

The girl then looked up, "Oh I'm fine," she responded with a smile, "the day was crazy."

"Are you sure you're fine?" Kiyoteru asked, "you've been quiet all of dinner."

"Actually…" she started, "I was just wondering if you knew when Sensei Kamui would be free?"

"Why?" the businessman asked.

"There's going to be sporting event at school this Friday, which you have to attend, by the way, and I'm participating in the Karate competition."

"I thought you stopped competitive Martial arts?" he asked before sipping his wine.

"My class made me do it."

"I never knew your peers could get you to do something you didn't want to," the businessman said before asking, "why do you need Sensei Kamui when you already have a black-belt?"

"It's been a while since I competed and I may be rusty," she explained before her father got up and walked to the side of the table.

"I can help you determine whether or not you are rusty," he said before taking off his jacket and draping it over a chair, "come here."

Everyone at the table grew shocked by the businessman's decision.

"W-Whoa dad. I can't fight you," the president said from her seat as she panicked, "you'll crush me."

"Oh come on," Kiyoteru said while stretching his neck, "it has been years since I last sparred. You might actually be able to hit me."

"Dad…" she said before rising from her seat and walking up to her father. She nervously looked up at him while gaining a fighting stance, "I don't know about this."

Everyone else quietly watched from the table. They all anticipated what would happen next.

"Now, now, Megami," he said before casually putting his hands in his pockets, "I'll defend while you attack. Let's see if you can hit me."

"W-Wait," Megami said, "shoes off," she said before they both took off their shoes and regained their previous stances.

"Show me what you've got," Kiyoteru said while locking eyes with his daughter.

The president sighed lunging at her father. She went straight for his stomach but he side-stepped with his in time, "Nice try but you won't hit me when you're so predictable."

She then rushed at him again and this time aimed for his head and once again he blocked her by grabbing her arm and flipping her over his shoulder, "Is that all you've got?"

Everyone watched with shock in their eyes as she landed on the ground with a loud thud.

Megami grunted before she rose to her feet. She was already panting while her father still seemed calm.

"Pay attention to your opponent," Kiyoteru said, "You learnt this in your first days."

"Ugh!" she grunted before rushing at him again and aiming for his head only for him to duck and grab her attacking arm before hesitating. Megami took this at her chance and kicked him in the chest, sending him back a little.

"Heh, nice one," he said as he was now panting. He struggled to steady himself before he managed to regain his composure.

He had one too many drinks. He was intoxicated, 'so that's what he meant' she thought before lunging at him, 'in this state he'll have trouble defending against quick movement' she then launched a fist at his stomach but he caught it allowing her an opportunity to nail him in the jaw. This was starting to look good for her.

"Wow, I underestimated you," he said as he stepped back and then got into a fighting stance, "Now let's see how you defend against me." With that he approached her and rushed for her head. Quickly, she blocked it and tried to counter by nailing his stomach only to have her hand grabbed before he kneed her in the side and spun her around to elbow her back, sending her to the ground.

"Shit!" all the teenagers said as Genka gasped.

"Language, children," Kiyoteru said while cracking his knuckles, "I know you thought you could take advantage of my intoxication but then, I'm ready for danger no matter my condition."

Megami felt the pain on her upper body as she stood up. She looked at her father and he was looking as though he hadn't even started fighting. She then regained her fighting position, "I'm not done yet." She then lunged at him and quickly thrust two fast palms that were both blocked and countered with a shove forcing her to slide a short distance away.

This time, the businessman advanced and nailed her in the stomach before going to head. luckily, she dodged him and countered by kneeing him in the gut and kicking his jaw, sending him backwards onto a chair, "Not bad but I think it's time to end this."

He lunged at her and dodged a punch she decided to throw before elbowing her stomach and grabbing her arm and shoulder. He then thrust her into the air and slammed her down. She didn't get up.

"Now that's what happens when you start drinking without my permission. I swear we need to talk about this," he scolded before resting his hands on his hips. He swore he saw his wife glaring at him and he knew he'd have a lecture before bed, "are you okay sweetie?"

"I'm fine," she said while writhing in pain.

"Well that was fun," he said before looking at the other children, "boys, would you like a go?" he asked as they all quickly shook their heads and ran out of the dining room, "how about you, Osoro, are you participating in any martial art?"

"Y-Yeah and it's Kendo and we don't have the equipment so we can't spar," she nervously said before running out as well.

"Does no one want to spar," he asked before looking at the doorway where many of the servants that had stopped to watch ran off, "something is seriously wrong around here. He then picked up his daughter bridal style, "I'll give Sensei Kamui a call tonight so you can start tomorrow," he then turned to his wife, "let me just take her to bed and I'll meet you in the bedroom."

"You better be ready for a lecture," she said before the businessman sighed and left the dining room.

"I'm sorry for hurting you sweetie," Genka heard him say as he walked out. She then sighed before getting up and taking his jacket from the chair.

"This is one family I married into."

Alright ladies and gentlemen. Thanks for reading this chapter. I know nothing very sporty happened but then I decided to save it for the next chapter. Either way, I hope you all enjoyed this.
