Drake and Joshua prepared themselves for the Duel. Each of them stared their opponent down, sizing them up and breaking down what might happen.

"Tell me, Joshua," Drake started, "What kind of Duelist are you? Surely you are not an Able one, yes?"

Joshua chuckled. "I suppose it would take one to know one, wouldn't it?" He said laughing out loud. "Yes, I am a Master Duelist, and I'm willing to bet that you're one as well" He added on, pointing to the masked man.

Drake slowly placed his hand over his half-masked face. Black smoke started to engulf him. Bella and Lilly backed up carefully. What was he thinking? They couldn't understand why he was giving himself away like this.

"Yes, I, Draegor, am a Master Duelist, and I hope you are prepared to entertain me." Draegor revealed himself. The crowd was in shock. A Duel between two Master Duelists was about to take place before them. Such a rare event was not one to be missed.

"Ha! You did well to try and conceal yourself. A lesser man wouldn't have been able to sense your suppressed aura, but I could tell there was something different about you. I'm curious what you have in store for me." Joshua laughed.

"You will soon find out." Draegor answered.

"Then it's time to Duel. I'll start things off by summoning my 'Tiger Axe' to the field, then I'll Set one card face-down." Joshua declared with a smile as an armored, humanoid tiger with a battle axe appeared in front of him.

"1300 ATK is not all that powerful. You will not defeat me with such weak creatures." Draegor sighed. "Allow me to show you how to start a Duel. I summon 'Alexandrite Dragon'!" He chanted and from the skies flew down a large dragon whose scales seemed to be hiding precious jewels, causing the creature to glimmer and shine in the street lights of the night.

"What a beautiful dragon. It is indeed powerful. It's a Level 4 and it has 2000 ATK as well." Joshua applauded.

"Now 'Alexandrite Dragon', attack his 'Tiger Axe'!" Draegor ordered and the dragon reached for the beast with its claws and fangs.

"Not so fast, friend. I knew you'd fall for that! Activate Trap: 'Kunai with Chain'!" Joshua countered. Suddenly, Draegor's dragon was stopped dead in its tracks. Its body was wrapped in chains with a unique blade attached at the end. "With this little Trap of mine, not only can I force your attacking Monster into defense position, but it also boosts the ATK power of my 'Tiger Axe' by 500, raising it to 1800." Joshua grinned proudly at his counter.

"Impressive. You stopped my first attack, and strengthened your own forces. I suppose I will end my turn now." Draegor sighed with defeat. The chains wrapped around his 'Alexandrite Dragon' released their grip and recoiled around the 'Tiger Axe' Monster's arm, but Draegor's Monster was still defending.

"With only 100 DEF, your dragon is no match for my creature's assault. Go 'Tiger Axe'! Slice 'em and dice 'em!" Joshua ordered and his creature charged the dragon, cutting it down with little resistance. The crowd awed in amazement at the sight before them. It had been ages since many of them had ever seen a Duel like this before. "I think that's enough punishment for now, so I'll end it at that." He added with a prideful smile and crossed arms.

"Very well. I will Set this card, then I will Summon 'Maiden with Eyes of Blue'." Draegor declared and a white-haired woman with blue eyes and a simple, yet refined dress rose before the masked man.

"I will admit that your new monster is quite pretty, but why Summon her in attack position? She has no ATK." Joshua wondered.

"Is that so? It seems I may have made an error. There is not much I can do now." Draegor sighed as he shook his head.

Joshua looked on intently. Something seemed off, but it didn't matter. He was about to give the crowd what they had been waiting for. "My move. Perfect." He said grinning. "I now cast 'Monster Reborn' to resurrect your 'Alexandrite Dragon'." He declared and Draegor's Monster now appeared on Joshua's side. "Next, I'll offer my two Monsters to Tribute Summon my 'Red-Eyes Black Dragon'!"

Joshua's Monsters began to glow a golden color until only their outlines were distinguishable, then their energies formed as one and shot to the heavens above. The black beast fell from the skies and swooped down before Draegor, landing with an impressive impact. The dragon towered over everyone, its blood-red eyes staring menacingly, and the crowd looked on in amazement.

"So tell me, did you honestly believe that I would fall for the very trick that I just used on you? I'm willing to bet that card you set is a Trap, and that it will hurt my 'Red-Eyes' the moment I attack your 'Maiden'. That's why you left her in attack to try and lure me in." Joshua claimed.

"So you saw through it, did you?" Draegor grunted.

"A little on the nose if you ask me. I mean seriously. I just made the same move against you, and now you're trying the same thing?" He laughed. "Well it won't work. I cast my Spell 'Anti-Magic Arrows'! This will prevent either of us from using any more Spell and Traps for the rest of the turn the moment I enter my Battle Phase, which of course I'll be entering now."

A volley of arrows shot into the air and landed all around Draegor and Joshua. As they landed, a faint magical aura radiated off of each of the arrows, blocking out all other magics.

"Now 'Red-Eyes', attack his 'Maiden' with Inferno Fire Blast!" Joshua ordered and his dragon readied its attack as fire began to leak from its mouth.

"Ready your counter my 'Maiden'!" Draegor chanted right before the dragon spewed its fireball.

"What?!" Said Joshua confused.

Draegor's Monster dropped to her knees and raised her arms towards the fireball hurtling towards her. She quickly formed a magic barrier, stopping the attack in its tracks. The crowd was shocked at this turn of events.

"Your 'Maiden' had a special ability like that? I must say I'm impressed. Your Trap wasn't the only thing protecting her, I see." He applauded.

"That will not be the only thing protecting her, fool." Draegor laughed.

"What are you saying?" Joshua asked, but then he noticed that the magic barrier that the 'Maiden' used to stop his dragon's attack was still there. It was then that he realized it wasn't just a barrier, but also a summoning circle.

"You have allowed me to call forth one of the most powerful dragons you will ever see! Behold, the 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'!" Draegor proclaimed as something shot out from the summoning circle and took flight. A mighty roar could be heard far and wide as the creature soared through the air only to then return to the earth below and take its stand next to the 'Maiden with Eyes of Blue', just as the 'Anti-Magic Arrow faded and disappeared.

"My 'Blue-Eyes' against your 'Red-Eyes'. Let us see which one is more powerful." Draegor smirked with his words. Joshua stared with his jaw on the floor. He and the surrounding crowd had only heard legends. "Now my 'Blue-Eyes', attack with White Lightning!"

Draegor's dragon charged its attack and fired a beam of electrical light, destroying Joshua's 'Red-Eyes' with little resistance.

"My dragon! No!" Joshua cried. "You've done good, but it ain't over yet." He breathed.

"Is that so? Then prove it."
