Trouble

Damian twirled his lightsaber around and around, keeping his eyes closed as he deflected the others' blaster bolts into the targets. After three minutes, they stopped firing and he retracted his blades, opening his eyes.

"Well done," Rex smirked. "Not a single miss."

"Thanks," Damian smiled. "That was actually a bit harder than I expected."

"Really?" Ahsoka asked. "Because it looked like you were just twirling your lightsaber and all of our shots were timed perfectly so that you didn't have to do anything."

"I'll take that as a compliment," Damian said.

Ahsoka smiled, walking forward and kissing him. "It was."

Damian smiled, kissing Ahsoka and the others rolled their eyes, most of them leaving, only Barriss and Riyo remaining. Finally, Ahsoka pulled away, turning to look at the two, who had been watching the entire time.

"What?" Ahsoka asked.

"We were just waiting to see if we'd have the chance to join in," Barriss smiled. "Don't mind us. Yet."

Ahsoka rolled her eyes, looking to Damian who shrugged.

"If you want," Damian said.

Ahsoka smiled, kissing him. "Next time. We have a couple of things we need to take care of first."

"Alright," Barriss smiled. "In that case, I'm going to go and take of Riyo."

"Let us know when you want a few extra hands," Riyo said, following Barriss out of the room.

"When did Riyo become as much a slut as Barriss?" Damian asked.

"Well, considering she had a threesome with you and Barriss, probably a long time ago," Ahsoka said, giving him another quick kiss before pulling back. "Now, about that other thing."

Damian frowned as Ahsoka looked past him. He turned, seeing Zera standing by the door, clearly nervous. "Zera? What's up?"

"I...wanted to see if I could talk to you," Zera said nervously. "Both of you."

Damian nodded and pulled several crates over with the Force, forming them seats. Zera joined them, sitting on one of the boxes and staring at her hands as they fidgeted in her lap. Damian glanced at Ahsoka, who watched her knowingly, then motioned for Damian to talk to the girl.

"So, what's up?" Damian asked.

"I...I'm not sure what to do," Zera said. "I've never been...attracted to males before. Not since the first male I was ever with...it was the one that...tried to rape me...so...I've never really..."

Damian sighed silently as he figured out what was going on and glanced to Ahsoka. Ahsoka smiled slightly and nodded. Damian returned the nod, then turned back to Zera, who was still struggling to speak.

"I was so...worried when you didn't come back," Zera was saying. "And...I think it's just because of that...but I can't stop thinking about it! Shia says it's alright but I'm afraid of what it might mean and-"

"Zera," Damian said, Zera looking up at him nervously, a dark blush coloring her cheeks. "If you want to try it once and see if it changes anything, you just have to ask. However, I'll warn you that I'm not doing anything without Ahsoka there."

"I know," Zera said. "I didn't mean...I mean...Can we? I...I need to know that I'm not...I still love Shia. And...I need to know that my feelings aren't changing."

"They're not," Damian said. "But Yes. If you want, we can try."

Zera nodded, smiling slightly. "Thank you. Um...how do we..."

Damian chuckled, standing and taking her hands, pulling her up to her feet and kissing her. She let out a shaky breath instantly, kissing him back and wrapping her arms around him. However, after a moment, her tongue trailed across his lower lip only for him to pull back, brow furrowing.

"I'm sorry!" Zera said instantly. "Should I leave?"

"Yes," Damian said, Zera's face falling instantly. "You need to go and get the others."

Zera and Ahsoka both stared at him in confusion, seeing the distant look in his eyes.

"Maul's on the Ghost," Damian said.

Zera's eyes widened and she turned, running out of the room instantly, Ahsoka stepping up beside him, taking his hand.

"Are you sure?" Ahsoka asked.

"Yeah," Damian nodded. "I can sense him." He glanced at her. "You're sure you're okay with us having Zera join?"

"I'm sure," Ahsoka nodded. "She needs to work out whatever she's feeling and realize that she's not actually falling in love with you."

Damian nodded, kissing her. "We should go and get ready too."

Ahsoka nodded and they headed to the Wraith. They left the base as soon as the others had arrived, Ahsoka beginning to try and contact Kanan and Ezra instantly. Finally, they succeeded.

"We're on our way back to the planet," Kanan said. "We have to get the Sith Holocron for Maul. It's the only way he'll spare the others."

"He has no intention of sparing them," Damian said. "I'll see if I can find him while you're getting it. When you get the coordinates, send them our way."

"Will do," Kanan agreed.

Ahsoka disconnected as Shaeeah took over the controls, Damian beginning to meditate. "What's the plan?"

"Kill Maul," Damian said. "Rescue Hera and the others." He was silent, head tilting to the side slightly. "I see a broken ring." He sighed irritably. "It's a Mandalorian asteroid outpost, but it could be one of dozens."

"Then we'll have to wait for their coordinates," Ahsoka said.

"Great," Damian sighed. "I'll see if I can narrow it down in the mean time."

The others nodded and they all fell silent as he continued to meditate. Finally, after an hour of failing to figure out exactly where to go, Kanan's coordinates arrived. Shaeeah entered them and jumped immediately. Damian opened his eyes, watching out the window.

"They're going to get there first," Damian said. "Maul and Ezra will combine the Holocrons."

"Is that a problem?" Zera asked.

"Yes," Damian nodded. "Combining a Sith and Jedi Holocron will allow the Force to answer any question the one who combines them wishes. But knowledge is never free. Everything comes at a price."

"What's the price?" Ahsoka asked.

"It depends on the knowledge," Damian said. "I can only sense what the Holocrons do, not what they'll ask, or what they'll pay."

The others nodded. Again they fell silent, and when they finally dropped out of Hyperspace some time later, Shaeeah cloaked the Wraith and spun it around, opening the ramp in time fore Kanan to spin into the ship from an airlock, Damian meeting him in the cargo bay within seconds.

"What happened?" Damian asked.

"Maul jettisoned me," Kanan said.

"Get to Ezra," Damian said. "I'll get the others."

Kanan nodded and they flew up to the hangar where the Ghost was, both leaping into the hangar. Damian slipped into the Ghost instantly and Kanan headed through a door off to the side. In the Ghost's cargo bay, Damian found Hera, Sabine, Zeb, and Chopper lined up to be held at gunpoint, two droids with boxes for heads with screens on the front, and a wheel for a base, connected with a pole body and a pair of thin arms aiming at them. However, the moment he saw them, he hurled his lightsaber, the blade splitting both droids and their blasters. Then, he caught it again and spun, deflecting a shot from a third droid back into its head, killing it as well.

"You're late," Hera said.

"Sorry," Damian said, cutting them all free. "It's hard to track people down using the Force. We ended up having to wait for Kanan's coordinates."

They all ran through the hallways after where Kanan had gone, arriving just as the Holocrons, which had been shining blindingly when the door opened, to stop shining, both closing and dropping to the ground. Instantly, Ezra collapsed while Maul escaped through a second door.

"Ezra!" Sabine gasped, kneeling beside him and gently lifting him. "Wake up! Ezra!"

"He's alright, Sabine," Kanan said calmly. "He's going to be fine."

After another moment, Ezra's eyes fluttered open and he groaned.

"How do you feel?" Kanan asked.

"Like I got run over," Ezra said. "I saw...something. Images. Places. I'm not sure if I was seeing what I wanted...or what maul was looking for."

"It doesn't matter," Damian said.

"Why not?" Ezra asked.

"Because if you only got flashes of images, you won't be able to make sense of it," Damian said. "It wasn't a complete vision, so it's useless."

"That makes sense," Ezra nodded, slowly pushing himself up, Sabine helping him, then giving him a hug before stepping back. "What about you? Did you see anything?"

"Yeah," Damian nodded. "A bright friggin' light."

Ezra snorted, shaking his head. "Do you think Maul will leave us alone now?"

"Not likely," Damian said. "He's taken an interest in you, unfortunately. Which means we're going to have to see him again."

Ezra nodded. "Come on. I'd like to get home."

The others agreed and they headed back to the ships. Once Damian was on his, Shaeeah glanced at him, R3 currently displaying a map of the galaxy with a dot making a path around it.

"We got a tracer on his ship," Shaeeah said.

"Good," Damian nodded. "R3, I want to know where he's hiding when he stops."

R3 agreed and Shaeeah set a course for home with the Ghost.
