Just FYI, this is also posted on my ArchiveOfOurOwn account too. Same name, same story. Enjoy. And don't forget to comment please.
In the first year of Era5, the High King of Skyrim Ulfric Stormcloak of Windhelm was wed to the Dragonborn Loriel Elsinlock of the Summerset Isle's Skywatch, his Altmeri husband refusing to hold any formal title to the crown beyond their wedded bond, wanting little more than to be at his lover's side for the rest of his days. Their public reception was considered a grand spectacle for Skyrim with the Blades of Old as honor guard, one Greybeard, and a single grey old dragon overseeing the event. Their reign was known to be a peaceful one and they were never seen far from each other's side for the first six years of their marriage until Cultists of the Miraak attacked the royal pair while they held court, forcing Loriel to leave his husband's side for five months in order to deal with the problem the First Dragonborn posed. The two ruled faithfully together for twenty years before Ulfric stepped down and allowed the people of Windhelm to elect a new Jarl and the Jarls of Skyrim to hold Moot, electing Nelkir the Wise, youngest son of Balgruuf the Greater, as the new High King. Several short months into the new King's reign, lingering Thalmor extremists attempted a revolt that was quickly squashed by the Dragonborn aside the backs of his dragon generals with no further efforts being noticed in the years that followed. Twelve years after stepping down as High King, he and his lover were killed at the respective ages of 83 and 131 while providing aid to Whiterun during a siege, survived in blood only by Loriel's two brothers and their kin. The two shared a funeral pyre on the peak of the Throat of the World, overseen by the Greybeards and observed by all of Skyrim. Posthumously, Loriel's autobiography as the Last Dragonborn was gifted to the Bard's College by his surviving brothers where it was eventually published and released to the public.
Laronen Shatter-Shield, formerly Elsinlock, maintained a humble life as a healer and owner of the Clinic of Windhelm despite being the brother-in-law to the High King. He and his wife had their first child mere days before the turn of the era and in the years that followed had two more children, youths greatly doted on by grandparents, uncles, aunts, and their Altmer cousins. The eldest of these three children went on to become known as one of Skyrim's greatest adventuring authors while the younger two grew to be very gifted mages, both studying at the College of Winterhold before one going on to teach at the College of Magi in Cyrodiil's Imperial City while the other went on to join her father in the Clinic. Laronen never remarried following his wife's passing at the age of 91 and continued to run the Clinic of Windhelm until his death at the age of 287, outlived by two of his children, five grand children, seven great-grand children, and two great-great grand children.
Lermion Elsinlock remained in Skyrim with his wife, children, and brothers, forging arms and armor for all of Skyrim until his death at the age of 260, susseded by his wife, six children, eleven grand children, sixteen great-grand children, and elder brother Laronen.
Elenwen, based on the detailed logs of tortures and interrogations confinscated from the Thalmor records, was charged with crimes of war alongside many other found members of the Thalmor and was executed months after the marriage of her youngest son, Loriel, to Ulfric Stormcloak, High King of Skyrim. Following her execution, her three sons jointly founded an institute geared towards aiding those who suffered from mental illnesses, not limited to Legionnaire's Disease and Heartsickness, and allowed a greater knowledge of wellbeing to become better avalible to the public accredited to the brilliant mind-healers and psychologists of Elsweyr.
And then there is the matter of Sauron Elsinlock. Little is known about the father of the Dragonborn beyond his being a decorated military officer of the Thalmor who died during the Great War, public records of his ancestry lost as the result of his own son's arson although the family's privat records managed to be recovered some years after the Second Great War. All that can be determined about the Elsinlock triplet's singular Breton ancestor is that an affair between he and an Altmer serving girl occurred in the Imperial City of Cyrodiil resulted in the birth of a daughter in E3Y002. Any additional information has been lost entirely to the tides of time.
