Worry
The gods try hard not to worry too much about their young charges. After all, they are heroes charged with defeating a dangerous and powerful god, so they naturally face a certain amount of danger. Still, it was hard not to be concerned when a Chimera bit Jay, and he almost died.
The gods know that the young ones sometimes feel like they don't care, but if anything, they care too much. They know it's a mistake to bond with a group of mortals. That once they defeat Cronus they'll go home, but they just can't seem to help themselves.
