September 6 (kinda), 12:30pm
It was another day of boring princess duties for Cassandra. And learning how to be all prim and proper, like a good future ruler. Well, sorry, but Cassandra wasn't interested! What she really wanted was to know where her friends had all gone. She remembered seeing them vanish in a bright flash of light right outside her bedroom window.
So when Cassandra had been looking in the mirror, trying very hard (and failing) to put a giant flower in her hair, and saw a bright flash of light, she ran down to the meadow. Cassandra threw the giant flower onto her bed, changed her clothes to something that wasn't a giant dress, and nearly knocked Will over.
"Sorry Will," she said. "Where did you go?"
"We found a magic rock," Jenny replied. "See?"
Jenny reached inside a container and pulled it out, before frowning and turning towards the others.
"It's not working," she said, sounding worried.
"Maybe it only works if we're in that meadow?" Horace suggested. They all turned and walked back to where they came from. Cassandra desperately wanted answers.
"Where did you go?" she asked.
"It's a school, with lots of technology, and well, it's pretty fun," Gilan answered.
"We're here. Is it working?" Will asked. Jenny looked at him. "I'm holding it right now, and it's not working."
"Maybe it has to be a different person each time?" Will suggested. "You touched it the second time. Horace touched it the first time."
He took the rock, and waited. The rock wasn't doing anything.
"I think it has a sort of recharge time. Sort of like those electronic devices people have over there," Gilan said.
"Then how long will we have to wait?" Cassandra asked nervously. She could see some knights coming towards here, obviously under orders to bring her back into the castle.
Suddenly, a bright light surrounded the six friends, and Cassandra gasped as she looked at her surroundings.
"Huh, we landed on the field. Hope no one saw that," Will said.
"I think the recharge time is half an hour," Gilan announced.
"Okay. I guess that's good for future reference," Alyss said. "We should go tell the principal that there's going to be a new transfer student next week."
Cassandra wondered what a transfer student was. She was also sort of excited to be learning at an interesting school, instead of learning about being a princess.
