Toward a City Filled with Smiles
"It is a shame the Tyler Sister and Commander Edo were defeated! Now that its come this, I, Noro Mamoru, will rise to the cause…And follow through with the Professor's orders to destroy the Lancers!" Mamoru declares. "Prepare yourself, Yuzu Hiragi! If I order all of my forces to attack you at once, you'll be blown away in an instance" He tells her. "Slowpoke really just doesn't understand Dueling, does he?" Gloria states. "They can't all attack at once!" Grace points out. "D-Don't mock me! Attack at once was just a figure of speech! I mean if they attack with all their might!" Mamoru tells them. "Go! My Academia forces!" He orders and the Academia students activated their Duel Disk. Yuzu was about to get ready to defend herself, when Edo held up his arm "Edo!" Yuzu yells. "Wh-What are you doing?!" Mamoru asked in shocked. "I finally understand now with my Duel with Yuzu. Yusho Sakaki was right!" Edo states, surprising Yuzu. "Edo…" Yuzu smiles and Edo smile back at her.
"Just like Yusho Sakaki said, Dueling is for bringing smiles to everyone! It isn't a tool for conflict! You should of have felt that watching this as well!" Edo states. "Yeah, he might be right" Grace agrees. "Wh-What nonsense are you spewing?!" Mamoru asked. "Open your eyes, Noro! We brought fear and stole the smiles from the peaceful people of the Xyz Dimension! That's definitely wrong!" Edo tell Mamoru. "Are you opposing the ARC Area Project despite you position as Commander-in-Chief? That's the same as an act of treason against the Professor!" Mamoru warns Edo. "I am aware. But I will follow the path that I believe is right! For that then…I will gladly bear the name of a traitor!" Edo states and he removes his mantle. Yuzu and Ruri were surprised at what Edo did. "That guy…He threw away the mantle given to him from the Professor as the Commander-in-Chief…" Gloria shocked. "Is he really going to betray Academia?! That's actually…kinda cool!" Grace exclaims. "What are you saying?! Don't tell me you're thinking of abandoning us and joining the Lancers too!?" Gloria asked. "And be Yuzu's ally too, then?" Grace wonders. "Quit screwing around!" Gloria exclaims. "Oh? But didn't you get stolen away by Yuzu's Entertainment Dueling too, Gloria?" Grace notes. "G-Grace!" Gloria exclaims. Just be honest, sister" Grace said as she appearing behind Gloria, surprising her. "We're on their side now too!" Grace tells Mamoru, and she and Gloria jumps down from the platform. "What?!" Mamoru shocked. Grace and Gloria lands in front of Yuzu and Edo. Grace waves at Mamoru, how looked in shock, as well as the Academia Students.
"Thank you, all of you! We can take back the smiles of this Xyz Dimension again!" Yuzu said. "Isn't that right…Ruri?" She asked her. "Ruri?" Edo confused. "Yeah, there's another me who was born and raise in the Xyz Dimension inside my soul. And she's saying…" Yuzu said. "Heartland…I want your help in bringing back smiles to my homeland" Yuzu/Ruri requested. "Of course. We will return the smiles we took from the people of Xyz Dimension. We must undertake this task with all our might" Edo said. "That will be impossible! Because all of you will be executed here and now! If Edo has officially stated his betrayal, then I officially have become the Commander-in-Chief of the Xyz Dimension Expedition Force!" Mamoru declares. "Now go, Academia troops!" He orders. "Hey, aren't you forgetting someone?" A voice asked. Mamoru turns to see Kaito standing there "Th-That voice is-!" Mamoru exclaims. "Kaito!" Yuzu exclaims. Mamoru yelp in fear. "As I'm wanted personally by Academia, shouldn't I be the first person you should be going after? But…I don't think you all could defeat me…No, I don't think you could defeat all of us!" Kaito states. "Us!?" Mamoru asked, he the gasped in shock. "That's-! The Resistance!" Yuzu gasped, as they appeared. Mamoru grunts in frustration. "Kaito! Did you bring them?" Yuzu asked. "Yeah, that's right! Kaito gathered everyone and told us "Let's go save Yuzu!" Allen replies. "Allen!" Yuzu yells. "Don't worry about Shun! Sayaka and the others are watching over him at the hideout!" Allen tells her. "I see, thank goodness" Yuzu relived.
"We resistance, will fight with our lives on the line to save our comrades! If you have that much resolve, then Duel me!" Kaito exclaims. Mamoru panics "Uhhh, how about we call it off?" He suggested. "I'm more of a deck worker so I have no battle experience..." Mamoru states. Kaito glares at him and Mamoru chuckle as he drops down on the ground in defeat. "Everyone listen! We were following the ARC Area Project but, instead we were committing an act of invasion! This is in contradiction to our utopia! So I would like to abolish that plan now and work to restoring the Xyz Dimension! This is not an order. If you do not agree with my belief you may return to Academia. Please, I wish that all of you would lend your strength to right the wrongs we have made!" Edo tells everyone, and one by one, the Academia students, de-activities their Duel Dusk. "Edo…" Yuzu whisper, and Edo nods at her.
Later at the Resistance's Hideout, Mamoru looks at his watch "They're late! According to my calculations the soup for everyone should have been finished in 29 minutes and 59 seconds! But the hand on my clock has already pasted 30 minutes! How long do they plan on making these people wait!?" he exclaims. "Sorry for the wait!" Grace said as she and Gloria enters with a pot of soup. "You're late!" Mamoru tells them. "Why am I helping out with this..."Gloria wonders. "Entertainment is what makes everyone happy! This is another form of training it!" Grace states. The former Academia students were helping around the hideout. "If it's providing food, medical supplies, and other resources and places to live, it makes sense that Academia should be taking responsibility to supply them!" Allen states. "But now Academia is saying they'll take Shun back to their headquarters to look after him? Are you all really okay with that?!" He asked. "That Edo guy is the boss of our enemy!" Allen exclaims. "But they said they have the latest in medical equipment for treatment there..." Sayaka said. "I don't think that Kurosaki will regain consciousness just sleeping here. It'd be best if he see a doctor and gets proper care" Gongenzaka states. "But I get why Allen is worried. Even if you say they've communicated heart to heart through Dueling Yuzu, they're still Academia" Sawatari states. "That's not true. I..." Yuzu said. "Believe in them" Kaito said. "Kaito..." Yuzu whisper. "I came to my senses from my Duel with you and Shun. The importance of comrades...The beauty of smiles...And that Dueling is there to protect those" Kaito states.
He then looks outside the room "I'm certain that they've come to understand that as well. That's why they came here, to atone for all the smiles they stole with Dueling" Kaito states as he watches Edo giving a drink to an elderly lady and Gloria, Grace and Mamoru handing out the food. "If they are honestly admitting their own sins. Then I must atone as well. For the fear that I inflicted onto countless of their comrades" he said. "Kaito..." Sayaka surprise. "But that's because Academia turned your family into cards!" Allen explains. "Yuzu said this to me when she was Dueling Edo," Yuzu said, which caught everyone's attention. "Was that...Yuzu just now?" Sawatari asked. "No...Ruri!" Gongenzaka states. "Yes. At that time Yuzu said…If you keep fighting back then the conflict will never end. That was a belief that Yusho Sakaki also held" Yuzu/Ruri states. "Yusho Sakaki…." Kaito mutters, as Allen and Sayaka looks at Yuzu in shock. "Forgiveness is the one true method to ending conflict" Yuzu states. "Of course there are things that cannot be forgiven. And it will be enormously painful for those who have to move on" Ruri states. "But still being courageous and forgiving is what will open the path to the future" Yuzu states. "In order to make a peaceful future where everyone can smile" Yuzu/Ruri states.
"Kaito, you showed us that courage right now. While enduring the pain of losing your family, you forgave and apologized as well" Yuzu said. "Ruri…" Kaito whisper. An image of Ruri smiling changes to Yuzu smiling. "I agree with Ruri" Yuzu said. Edo then walks in "There is a method to returning people who were turned into cards back to normal" He states. "Huh!?" Kaitio gasped. "Really!?" Yuzu asked. "Turning people into cards is a method to collect their life energy. I was told that those people will be reborn when it is time to make the new world" Edo explains. "Return to normal…My family…" Kaito whisper. "Is that true?!" He asked Edo. "Yes" Edo said. "Then where are the collected cards!?" Gongenzaka asked. "They are all sent to Academia. There's a transfer device at out headquarters for that" Edo tells them.
Later at the Former Academia Headquarter, Yuzu, Gongenzaka, Sayaka and Kaito were standing in front of a machine "People turned into cards are sent to the Fusion Dimension from here?" Yuzu asked. "That's right. They're sent to Academia, no exceptions" Edo states. "My family is through this…" Kaito said. "Go, Kaito. Go and save them! Your family and Yuto!" Sayaka tells him. "Yuto…" Kaito whisper. "I'm certain Shun feels the same" Sayaka states. "Yuzu, and your friends should go too! Shun will be fine. I believe in Edo, and I'll work with him to heal Shun" She tells Yuzu. "Yeah, I will definitely heal Shun Kurosaki for you. Please believe in me" Edo said. "I've already told you plenty of times though, Ruri and I believe in you Edo" Yuzu tells him. "That's right, thank you. But still I must apologize to you. I probably send Yusho Sakaki to another Dimension...The man who had taught true beauty of Dueling..." Edo said. "Sir Yusho is alive. So you will meet him again! I believe it!" Yuzu tells him. "Yuzu!" Edo smiles. "And about what I asked you before..." Yuzu said. "The boy named Yuya Sakaki?" Edo asked. "I asked all of our soldiers, but they said they haven't seen a boy matching that description. I'll look some myself" He tells her. "Thank you" Yuzu said. "Then shall we go?" Sawatari suggest. "Yeah!" Gongenzaka agrees, and puts his hands on Yuzu's shoulders and Sawatari walks off. "Yuzu" Gongenzaka said. "Yeah" Yuzu smiles.
Allen then came in "Hold on!" He calls out. "Allen?" Yuzu confused. "Here. I'm giving them to you" Allen said as he gives Yuzu a pair of boots. "Huh? But these are your..." Yuzu recognizes them. "It's a gift from me, please accept it" Allen tells her. "Allen..." Yuzu whisper, she the smile and nods. Sawatari, Gongenzaka, Yuzu starts to walk through the door to the transfer device . "This is?" Kaito asked Sayaka about the card she gave him. "Little Fairy...If you take her with you, it's as if I'm fighting with you as well..." Sayaka said. "All right. I will save Yuto with this card" Kaito said, and he put it in his deck and joins the others, and the door closed. "Kaito..." Sayaka whispers. "Here we go!" Kaito states. "To the Fusion Dimension..." Gongenzaka said. "Let's go!" Sawatari said. "Yeah!" Yuzu said. Edo activates the transfer device and the four of them disappears.
In the You Show Duel School in the Fusion Dimension "If we are going to fight Academia now is the time! We lost 5 students when they Dueled against a Duelist named Selena!" Asuka said as he remembers Selena carding the 5 You Show students. "At this rate...! You Show Duel School will be destroyed before we can fight against Academia! We have the power from other dimension, Rin and Yuya! We should use this time to strike!" Asuka states. "Yugo and Yuri are at Academia too" Rin said. "Yuto is there as well" Yuya adds. "In order to save those three we should make or move and break in!" Rin states "Let's go! Let's do it!" The You Show students cheers. "All right. Then I will go" Yusho said. "No, there's no need for you to..." Asuka said. "Don't push yourself! Let us handle this" Yuya said. Yusho bangs his cane down on the floor "I can't let the students who just broke free from Academia be sent back there again. I will take charge here. I will talk to Leo Akaba myself" Yusho states.
"Too bad but...You won't be able to meet the Professor and...You won't even able to make it to Academia" A familiar voice said. "It can't be-!" Yuya gasped. There standing at the door was Dennis Macfield. "Dennis!" Yuya exclaims. "Oh but it can be! It's been awhile, Yuya!" Dennis states. "Could you come with me?" He asked Yuya. Yuya backs away "You're-!" Rin gasped. "Oh? You're here too? Your name was Rin, was it? I saw your Duel with Sawatari in the Synchro Dimension, that was quite fun to watch" Dennis said. "But you aren't even close to me when it comes to be an entertainer" He states. "Quit screwing around! How could a guy who lose and got exposed by Kurosaki, be called an entertainer!?" Rin asked. "I wasn't exposed. I revealed my identity of my own will. In order to make my Duel with him more exciting. And just like I planned the audience loved it didn't they?" Dennis states. "Dennis..." Yusho mutters. "You know him!?" Yuya asked. "It's been awhile, teacher..." Dennis said. "Teacher!?" Yuzu and Asuka shocked. "Oh, how nostalgic..." Dennis said.

"It was always my dream to Duel like you in Heartland. Thanks to you I awoke to the joys of Entertainment Duelling!" Dennis states as he remembers watching one of Yusho's Entertainment Duels.

"But...Right now, I have more skills than you when it comes to entertaining a crowd" Dennis said. "I wonder about that…" Yusho said. "Then do you want to test it?" Dennis asked. "Since I just happen to have a nice audience with me" He states, and a group of Academia students appeared behind him. "How did they find this place?!" Asuka shocked. "We already had information from plenty of sources that you were hiding out here. I can think of it only being fate that you have come to this Fusion Dimension, teacher" Dennis states. "I'd like for you to witness first-hand the growth of your student…" He surgested. "You bastard! You think we're just going to shut up and listen to what you say!?" Rin said. "That's right!" A male You Show student said. "There's no need for him to face you!" A Girl You Show student states. We'll take care of you ourselves!" Another boy student said. "Fine then. I'll take you on" Yusho said "Huh?!" Rin said. "Teacher!" Asuka exclaims "Dad…!" Yuya exclaims. Dennis smiles at this. Yusho got up from his chair "All of you stand back" He tells them. "You haven't grown at all since then" Yusho tells Dennis. "What was that?!" Dennis asked. "Back then, you were so entranced on making everything you did flashy. But how deep of a message can you convey with just fancy showings?" Yusho states as he put on his Duel Disk. "That is what's important!" He states. "Enough of your bragging! I've always preferred actual practice over lessons!" Dennis states "Shall we begin, Teacher?" He suggests. "DUEL!" Both Yusho and Dennis yells out.
"First let me see what you can do" Dennis said. "Well if you say so then, I'll go first" Yusho said. "I set one card and end my turn" He states. "Huh?!" Yuya confused. "That's it?!" Asuka asked. "You hack! Are you mocking me!?" Dennis annoyed. "Of course not! I always tale a course of action that will be the most fun. This is just a stepping stone" Yusho states. "I see, then I will as well…" Dennis said. "My turn!" He declares and draws. You just said I haven't grown at all a moment ago but…I've been to plenty of places and learned many things. This is the proof of that!" Dennis tells Yusho as he held up two cards in his hand. "I, using the Scale 3 Performage Mirror Conductor and the Scale 6 Performage Fire Dancer, Set the Pendulum Scale! With this, I'm able to simultaneously Summon monsters from Levels 4 to 5" He declares. "Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters! First is…Performage Ball Balancer! (ATK: 1000) Next, Performage Plushfire!" Dennis chants (ATK: 1000). "He started off with Pendulum?!" Rin exclaims. "This isn't over yet...Both monsters are Level 4!" Yuya warns them. "I Overlay my Level 4 Ball Balancer and Plushfire!" Dennis declares. "Show must go on! Artisan of the air, swing across the stage with grace! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 4! Performage Trapeze Magician!" Dennis chants (ATK: 2500).
"But I'm sad to say this show will be coming to an end quickly, I use one of Trapeze Magician's Overlay Units and active its monster effect!" Dennis declares. "With this, Trapeze Magician can attack twice this turn! Trapeze Magician's ATK is 2500. If I attack you directly twice, your LP will be erased. What a letdown" He states. Yusho didn't say anything. "Go! Battle, Trapeze Magician! Make a direct attack on Yusho Sakaki!" Dennis declares. Trapeze Magician throw his staff up in the air and it turned into a Trapeze and it jump on to it, the spotlights and confetti appears. Trapeze Magician began to swing and jumps down to deliver a kick to Yusho. Yuya, Rin and Asuka gasped in horror as the attack got closer "Trap Activate: Miraculous Hats!" Yusho declares and a smokescreen appeared and two hats appeared, with a star background. "He's gone" Dennis gasped. Yusho laughs "There's no need to fret! I'm right here!" He tells Dennis. "You're inside those silk hats?!" Dennis asked. "That's right!" Yusho confirms. "I was thinking having our show end with a direct attack would be no fun. It isn't much but I prepares a game for you" he tells Dennis. "A game?" Dennis wonders. "In one of these Miraculous Hats is a Spell Card, and another a monster with 0 ATK is hiding with me! If you select that monster card then the battle damage dealt is doubled! Simply put, I'll take 5000 damage and lose" Yusho explains.
"Well that's a shame for you then, I just said this, but Trapeze Magician can attack twice with its effect now! So I have a 100% chance to get it right!" Dennis states. "Then it can't be helped…Why don't we make your victory has exciting as possible then?" Yusho suggested. "Well, which one will you choose first?" He asked Dennis. "I attack the hat on the right! Go! Trapeze Magician!" Dennis declares and Trapeze Magician attacks and destroyed the red hat. "The Spell Card you destroyed was Wonder Balloons. Since it wasn't the monster, the battle damage dealt will be 0" Yusho states. "But then with this, it's over. I attack the left hat with Trapeze Magican!" Dennis declares and Trapeze Magician attacks and destroyed the blue hat. "I did it!" Dennis exclaims. "Wh-!?" He gasped as he saw a paper doll their instead of Yusho. "A paper doll…?" Dennis confused. "This is a Spell Card you can use as a monster card when it's in your hand…! Which means-! I never could have gotten it right to begin with" He realizes. The scenery changes back to normal, and everyone from You Show was gone. "Damn it! While he kept me busy with that game…!" Dennis cursed. "After them! They said they were headed to Academia! To the harbour! Hurry to the harbour!" He orders the Academia students. In the tunnel Askua was help Yusho escape.
In the city, Yuya and Rin, on Rin's D-Wheel was being chased by an Academia jeep. "There they are!" An Academia student states and more Academia jeep, with two Ancient Gear Soldiers and three Armor Canine – Bullcopter. The two Ancient Gear Soldiers attacks them. Rin stop and Yuya gets off "Yuya! Don't go too far from me!" Rin tells Yuya as he takes off his helmet. "It's fine, I can protect myself!" Yuya reassures Rin. The Academia then surrounds them with their monsters. "Just stick with me! I will protect you all right?" Rin tells Yuya. But then Yuya's braclet glows and Rin disappeared. "Rin!" Yuya gasped. "Yuya!" A familiar voice calls out and Yuya turned to see Yuzu, Gongenzaka, Sawatari and Kaito running toward him. "Yuya!" Yuzu yells out. "Yuzu…" Yuya smiles. "I never thought I'd be able to reunited with Yuzu…" Dennis states. "Looks like it's your turn here" He tells someone and that person smirks.
