Orchid continued to run through the city until she rounded a corner into an alleyway to catch her breath. She could tell that the masked man had stopped following her, but she didn't know why. What's more is that she was tired of being kept in the dark.
"Alright." She said aloud. "Why was he trying to kill me back there?"
Young sighed. "It is not you he wants to kill, but me. Though I can safely assume that you already figured that part out."
"Yeah. I did, but you said that you were his friend. So why is he trying to kill you?"
"That is a difficult question to answer." Young stated and Orchid grunted. "You could say that I have no choice but to be his friend, even though we are practically opposites. He believes me to be too soft and forgiving."
"Seriously?" Orchid did not sound amused.
"I warned you that is was a difficult question to answer. However, there is another part as to why that is. I have no memory of him." Young revealed.
"Wait? What?!" Orchid was baffled.
"No proper memory of him, that is. I know that I am to be by his side, though I do not remember why. He must know why, but he does not want us to be reunited for reasons I do not yet know." Young's voice turned sad and disheartened.
"So let me get this straight: You're friends with someone who wants to kill you because he knows something you don't and that something is part of the reason he wants you dead?" Orchid asked.
"That very well could be the truth. Though in order to defeat me, I must be removed from your body first. The quickest way to do that is to eliminate you." Young's tone suddenly became very serious.
"Are you kidding me?" Orchid was not pleased with what she heard.
"Yes. There are other methods, all of which require more time, or a more unique situation to take place."
"Okay, so what's one of these methods?"
"The best option available to us now is for you to Duel Draegor in a Death Duel." Young answered.
"Okay, what other options are there?" Orchid wanted to move on from that method as quickly as possible.
"As I said, that is the best one available to us. Forgive me."
"So what'll happen if I do challenge Draegor to a Duel?"
"Assuming all goes well, then I will be removed from your body and I will walk alongside you. No longer in spirit, but in body." Young answered.
Orchid wasn't sure how to feel about all this. On the up side she would finally be rid of this spirit within her. The down side was that she was going to have to face an evil unlike anything she had ever seen.
"Alright. I know what I want to do." She declared.
