Hi everyone, Rosestar48 here! Today we'll have the Duel between Rin and Yugo!
The Wings Leading to Destruction
"Sorry…" Rin apologizes to Yugo. "I was actually planning on coming to save you sooner…But I thought achieving our dream of winning the Friendship Cup came first, so…" She claims. Yugo continues to hug Rin "Enough, I don't care about all that nonsense" He said. "Duel me here, right now" He demands Rin. Rin reacts in surprise, and then she is suddenly thrown out of the Eastern Tower's window with a scream.
Screams echo over Academia as Kaito has also just been thrown from the Western Tower, and he sees Raidraptor - Rise Falcon flying towards him. Kaito manages to right himself and he lands on the Winged Beast "Shun! Edo?" Kaito gasped when he spots them running towards him."Rise Falcon brings Katio down to the ground safely and dissipates as Edo and Shun reached him. "Why are you guys here?" Kaito asked the pair. "Edo helped me out in a pinch. And when I heard that you and Yuzu were headed to Academia, I came after you!" Shun replies. Edo winks "He insisted that he wanted to have his best friend with his own hands" He explains. "I heard from Edo that Yuto is at the top of this tower" Shun explains. "Kaito, what happened up there?" He asked.
"I was pushed down here…By Yuto" Kaito replies. "What?!" Shun shocked.
(Flashback)
"Your friend, has changed" Kaito claims as he remembers Yuto's smile after he pushed him from the tower.
(Flashback ends)
"That's impossible!" Shun protest. "Yuto!" He yells out and runs up the stairs. "Wait! It's dangerous! Your friend might be being manipulated!" Edo tries to explain to Shun, but Shun doesn't listen. "Manipulated?" Kaito asked. "Yeah, I heard rumours about it…There's a Duellist working with the Professor with an ability to manipulate people" Edo explains. "If Yuto is under his control, then…Is the same thing happening at the East Tower?!" Kaito realizes in shock. "Edo! There should be a girl name Rin at the East Tower" Kaito explains to Edo. "Tell Rin the truth, Edo. I'll go after Shun!" He tells him, and he quickly pursues Shun.
Rin had landed "That hurt…!" She groans in pain. "What was that all of a sudden!?" She wonders. "Oh crap!" She utters in horror, realizes that she's landed on her D-Wheel. "What have you done!?" Rin panics and heaves it back "Of all the things you'd pushed me onto our precious D-Wheel!" She laments and checks to make sure that it's okay. "Oh man, I hope there aren't any scratches on it…Rin begs. Yugo walks up"Enough of that…Duel me" He tells Rin and activated an Academia Duel Disk. "What was that?! Did you forget the feeling we put into this D-Wheel?!" Rin asked.
(Flashback)
"We couldn't buy a D-Wheel, so we decided to make one from scratch! (Her first designs rather shocking Yugo). We studied together a bunch, saved up what little money we had and slowly bought parts! Then we put it together piece by piece! We swore we'd enter the Friendship Cup together with this win it and aim to be the greatest Duellist!" Rin states as she remembers both her and Yugo working on their D-Wheel together.

"Remember, Yugo!" Rin asked him. "And so what?" Yugo flippantly dismisses the statement. "Duel me, now" He repeats his challenge. "Fine, I get it!" Rin angrily agrees, retrieving her helmet and donning it "We always settled our arguments through Duels anyways" She admits. "If you want to go at it that badly, I'll take you on!" She states and she climbs onto her D-Wheel and she activates her Duel Disk. "DUEL!" Both Duellist cries out.
"I'll go first, I activate the Spell Card: Roar of Speed!" Yugo declares. "Using its effect, I can Special Summon a monster with the same name as Speedroid Hanetsuki from my deck!" He explains (ATK: 1000). "And I Normal Summon Hanetsuki from my hand!" He said (ATK: 1000). "The turn these monsters are Summoned, I deal 500 damage to my opponent!" Yugo explains. "I activate the first of their effects!" He declares and the firsts Hanetsuki metalize a ball its sword and blast Rin with a gust of wind (Rin's LP: 3500). "And next the second one!" He declares and the second one strikes (Rin's LP: 3000). "That's cold!" Rin gasped. "I've felt that Hanetsuki effect plenty of times since we were kids, but...Today it feels like it's chilling me down to my bones!" She notes. "When I control two "Speedroid" monsters, I can Special Summon the Tuner monster, Speedroid Tako!" Yugo states (ATK: 100). "I Tune my two Hanetsukis with my Level 1 Tako!" He declares. "Spread those wondrous and beautiful wings. Strike down our enemies at light speed! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo chants (ATK: 2500). "Next, I activate Tako's effect! When it is send to the Graveyard my opponent take 500 damage!" He states and another gale was blasted at Rin (Rin's LP: 2500). "I set one card and end my turn" Yugo said. "Now, it's your turn" He tells Rin. "And just for you let's fight on a stage you excel it!" He suggested. He leaps onto Clear Wing Synchro Dragon "Follow me!" Yugo tells Rin, riding it down the stairs. "Wait Yugo!" Rin tells him. "Where are you going?!" She asked him as she gave chase on her D-Wheel.
"Something odd...He normally wouldn't ignore me like this..." Rin notes. "He's got this weird expression on his face, too...And that Duel Disk he's using...!" She mused. "It can't be...Academia did something to him when they kidnapped him?!" Rin wonders. She looks at her D-Wheel's monitor "1500 damage from the start...Ruthless as always..." Rin admits. "In order to find out if they did something to him or not, I have to win this Duel!" She decides. "My turn!" Rin declares and draws. "I Summon Windwitch-Fresh Bell from my hand!" She said (ATK: 1100). "Using Fresh Bell's effect, I Special Summon my Tuner Monster Windwitch-Blizzard Bell from my hand!" She states (ATK: 300). "I Tune my Level 4 Fresh Bell with my Level 3 Blizzard Bell!" Rin declares. "Winds of winter, snow and ice! Become my power to blow everything away! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Windwitch-Winter Bell!" She chants (ATK: 2400). "Look Yugo, it's your favourite card, Windwitch-Winter Bell! You loved watching it fly more than anything!" Rin reminds Yugo.
(Flashback)
"You're the one who said we'd win the championship for sure with it!" Rin states as she remember having a Riding Duel in the Synchro Dimension and Yugo cheering her on.

"Yugo!" Rin calls out. Yugo ignores him again "Trap Activate: Speed Delay!" He declares. "I negate Windwitch-Winter Bell's monster effect, and cut its ATK in half!" Yugo explains. Black wind blasts Winter Bell (ATK: 1200) and dull its blades. "You! You're reducing Winter Bell to this...! Why!?" Rin asks in horror.
Watching on a screen beside Leo Akaba , the long-haired old man laughs "Because it's an eyesore!" He replies. "The parasite monster that I developed takes root in the host player's brain. It then takes the memories storied there and analyzes them" He explains to Leo. "Defeating someone like you, who has such a deep connection with its host, will be child's play" He states. "What do you think, sir? This Parasite Monster also is programmed to have the host swear fealty to you Professor" He asked. "I will admit you research has proven to be successful, Doktor" Leo admits. "But those boys are keys pieces to the ARC Area Project. I will not approve to you causing any harm to them" he warns him. "It's because they are such important tools that I have given them the abilities to protect themselves" The Doktor replies. "Worry not, my Parasite Monster is perfect!" He reassures Leo. Leo turns to another screen, watching as Yusho and Asuka make their way to the castle.
Meanwhile, on the Lancers' speedboat "What? Yusho Sakaki is?" Reiji surprised. "Yes...Sir is heading towards Academia to negotiate with the Professor. We were on our way to catching up to him too" Yuzu explains to her fellow Lancers. "But why is Yusho going to Academia again?" Crow asked. "That is most likely because he is thinking to fulfil the promise he made to me three years ago..." Reiji explains. "Promise?" Yuzu asked. "What do you mean?" Gongenzaka asked.
(Flashback)
"Three years ago, I snuck into Academia" Reiji explains as he remembers coming to Academia. "What?!" The Lancers gasped. "There, I learned that Leo Akaba was trying to rule over the 4 Dimensions with the power of Duelling" Reiji states as he remembers seeing Leo in Academia. "In order to prevent that I asked Yusho Sakaki for his assistance" He explains as he remembers his meeting with Yusho. "Sir?" Yuzu asked. "And he, without telling anyone, went into the dimensional transfer device and disappeared" Reiji states as Yusho enters dimensional transfer device.

"I see...Just like back then, Sir did the same thing. That's why he went to the Professor..." Yuzu mused. "Three years ago Leo Akaba and I met a certain boy..." Reiji adds. "A certain boy?" Gongenzaka asked. "That was Yuri. And three years later, when I saw you and Yuya Sakaki, Yuzu..It brought back a specific memory of mine" Reiji states. "Memory?" Yuzu asked. "What was it?" Gongenzaka asked. "Inside of Leo Akaka's laboratory, Revival Zero" Reiji said.
"Revival Zero?" Yuzu repeats. "The resurrection of Zero? Returning to Zero? What could it mean?" Gongenzaka wonders. "Unfortunately, I still don't fully understand what it means either" Reiji admits.
(Flashback)
A young Reiji was look at the Revival Zero file "In that folder was files on two people only" Reiji explains.

"Two people?" Crow asked. "One of them was Yuri, and the other one was..." Reiji explains. "Was..?" Reria asked. "The other one was a girl names Selena" Reiji confirm "Yes, the one you met from the Fusion Dimension…A girl who has the same face as you" He explains. "So that means…!" Yuzu realize. "It means your hypothesis that the 4 of you and the 4 boys with the same face have something to do with the ARC Area Project" Reiji agrees with Yuzu. "Revival Zero. This definitely is a key portion to Leo Akaba's plans. Now that Selena's existence is confirmed a part of it, it can't be denied that you are part of it as well, Yuzu" He states. "I'm…? A part of Academia's plan?" Yuzu shocked. "It can't be…we're-!" Ruri realizes. "But based on how they've acted up until now, only Selena has been making moves towards it in secret. It would be fine it this was just me over thinking things, but…If we view Leo Akaba successfully capturing the four boys meaning his plan is nearing completion, it wouldn't be strange if he made a moves towards us after" Reiji notes. "You Lancers must always believe in the power of your comrades, and fight your way through this" He tells them. Yuzu stands up and she stares at Academia as they approach the island.
Back at the Eastern Tower "I don't know what Academia did to you while they had you captured but...Right now, you're not the Yugo I know! If you really have forgotten about me, then I'll make you remember! With my Duelling!" Rin tells Yugo. "I set one card and end my turn!" She said. "Make you remember?" The Doktor laughs. "Do it if you can!" He wished Rin, laughing as Yugo smirks. "My turn!" Yugo declares and draw Fusion Parasite. "Battle! I attack Windwitch-Winter Bell with Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" He declares. Clear Wing fires several tornados at Winter Bell. "I banish the Blizzard Bell from my Graveyard and negate the attack!" Rin counters. Blizzard Bell appears, it glows blue and explained a snowflake shield that blocks the tornados. "I already knew you'd do that!" Yugo replies. "With my Clear Wing as my target, I activate the Quick-Play Spell: Speed Call from my hand!" He declares. "I Special Summon a monster that is a lower level than the targeted monster from my hand!" Yugo explains. "The monster I call out is Fusion Parasite!" He states (ATK: 0). "What is that creepy thing!? Did Yugo even have that monster?!" Rin wonders. "When Fusion Parasite is Special Summoned, I can perform a Fusion Summon using this card as material without a Fusion Card" Yugo explains. "What?! Fusion!?" Rin shocked. "I Fuse Clear Wing Synchro Dragon and Fusion Parasite!" Yugo declares as he jumps off Clear Wing. "The Sound of the Speed thought the wind, Combine with the inner voice and intensifies the Roar! Fusion Summon! " He chants. As he clasps his hands in Academia's Fusion pose, dark energy surrounds him "The sound of the Supersonic! Sonic Wing Clear Dragon!" He chants (ATK: 2800). "Yugo summoned a Fusion Monster?!" Rin shocked. "When Fusion Parasite is used as Fusion Materiel, it becomes an Equip Card to the Fusion Summoned monster!" Yugo explains as he lands on Sonic Dragon. The Parasite Monster clasps over Sonic Wing's heart, and Sonic Dragon's eyes glow yellow.
"Yugo! Have you really joined Academia?!" Rin asked in horror. The watching Doktor smiles "That's correct. Right now Yugo is fighting of his own will for the sake of Academia. The Yugo you know is no longer here" He said. "Battle! I attack Windwitch-Winter Bell with Sonic Wing!" Yugo declares and Sonic Wing blasts three dark twisters at Winter Bell destroying it (Rin's LP: 900). The attack blasted her and her D-Wheel off the stairs, the D-Wheel landing on its front wheel and throwing Rin off, before slamming into the ground and sliding across it with a harsh screech.
Rin struggles up as a washer bounces in front of her. She runs to the destroyed wreck of her D-Wheel, the Duel Disk jarred loose and on the ground "Our...Yugo and my D-Wheel..." Rin gasped in horror as she falls to her knees. She slams the ground and sobs as Yugo floats down with Sonic Wing "What's wrong? Stand up already He tells Rin. "The Duel isn't over yet" He reminds her. With tears in her eyes "You! Did you really forget?! The dream we put into this D-Wheel?! The hope...our future..! Remember!" Rin screams.
(Flashback)
She remembers riding the D-Wheel with Yugo in the Synchro Dimension "The feelings we had back then...When we were both chasing after our dreams!" Rin begs Yugo.
(Flashback ends)
"Yugo!" Rin yells. Yugo ignores her "I activate Sonic Wing's effect" He coldly said, much to Rin shocked. "I target one monster in the Graveyard and use its effect!" He explains. "I target Hanetsuki, and deal 500 damage to my opponent!" Yugo declares. Soinc Dragon roars and he generates a twister, blasting Rin backwards (Rin's LP: 400).
Yugo jumps off his monster "You only have 400 remaining LP. I am unharmed. You cannot use your D-Wheel anymore either. It should be clear you don't have a chance to win" He notes. Rin lift her head, revealing that her visor had cracked over her left eye. Yugo smiles "Now, hurry up and surrender" He tells Rin. Rin struggles to her knees "Surrender?! Those words will never leave my mouth!" She replies. "Sorry but I'm...bad at giving up!" Rin apologizing. Rising to her feet "That's why I've gone across dimensions searching for you…" Rin explains. She walks forward to pick up her Duel Disk "I finally met you…There's no way I'd give up in a place like this!" Rin declares. "No matter what, I'll return you to normal! Yugo!" Rin vows and slams her Duel Disk onto her arm. She tosses her helmet "Now, hurry up and end your turn! Next is my turn!" Rin tell Yugo. "I end my turn" Yugo said.
"You truly are a girl that doesn't know when to give up…" The Doktor agrees. "What could you do when you're this cornered?" He wonders. "My turn!" Rin declares and draws Windwitch-Gale Bell. "It's here" She cried. "I Summon the Tuner Monster Gale Bell!" Rin declares (ATK: 100). "And with the Level 8 Sonic Wing as target I activate the Spell Card: Shadow Stepper!" She adds. "I Special Summon an Extra Deck monster lower Level then it from my Graveyard with its effect negated!" Rin explains. "The monster I'm bringing back is Windwitch-Winter Bell!" She states (ATK: 2400). "I Tune my Level 7 Windwitch-Winter Bell with my Level 1 Gale Bell!" Rin declares. "Snow and Ice, become clear like the white maiden's heart! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Windwitch-Clear Bell!" She chants (ATK: 3000). "Battle! Go! Windwitch-Clear Bell!" Rin declares. Windwitch-Clear Bell spears through the sky "Windwitch-Clear Bell battles a Level 5 or higher monster, it gains that monster's ATK!" She states. Clear Bell's blades glows as it ATK increase (Clear Bell's ATK: 5800). "Fusion Monsters don't suit you, Yugo!" Rin comments. "I crush that imitation sonic wing right now! These my true clear blades!" She declares.
"I activate Sonic Wing's effect" Yugo said. "I select a monster from either of our Graveyards and activate its effect as if it was Sonic Wing's until the End Phase" He explains. "The monster I choose is…Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" He states. "What?!" Rin shocked. "Under its effect when a Level 5 or greater monster activates its effect it is negated and that monster is destroyed!" Yugo states. Sonic Wing blasts a tornado at Clear Bell. "I don't think so! Clear Bell negates Clear Wing Dragon's effect and destroys it!" Rin snaps. Blades sprout from Clear Bells shoulders Clear Bell in light, dissipating the tornado. Yugo flinches in shock "Then I will send the Fusion Parasite equipped to Sonic Wing to my Graveyard, and negate its destruction!" He responds. Fusion Parasite dissolves into black smoke, and Sonic Wing generates a blue spherical shield to protect itself. "Then I'll attack Sonic Wing!" Rin declares and Clear Bell punctures the shield and attacks Sonic Wing, destroying it and blasted Yugo backwards. Yugo screams as he bounces across the ground (Yugo's LP: 1000).
"Yugo!" Rin calls out as she runs over to him. "Are you okay, Yugo!?" She asked him. She holds him in her arms "Hey! Snap out of it Yugo! Hey, open your eyes please, Yugo! Hey! Yugo!" Rin begs. Yugo opens his eyes "Ri…n" Yugo whisper. "You're back…To the real Yugo…Yugo!" Rin rejoices. Yugo smiles. "Yugo!" Rin cries as she hugs him tightly as tears pour down her face.
"When Sonic Wing is destroyed, Clear Wing and Fusion Parasite are Special Summoned from my Graveyard" Yugo slowly declares. Rin looks at Yugo in horror "Yugo!" She whispers. Yugo shoves Rin away and he sways on his feet "And…with Fusion Parasite's effect, these two can Fuse and call back Sonic Wing" He declares (ATK: 2800). "Fusion Parasite becomes its Equip Card again" Yugo states and Fusion Parasite equips itself to Sonic Wing once more "No! Why?!" Rin gasped as she watches in horror.
"Sorry, but my Fusion Parasite doesn't give up easily, just like yourself. No…even more then you!" The Doktor comments. Rin looks at Yugo as he smiles while surrounded by a dark aura "It's that thing! That monster that's fused with Yugo's monster! It's because of that bug Yugo is…" Rin exclaims. Yugo totters again and his eyes widen "I activate Sonic Wing's monster effect" He said. "I activate the effect of Hanetsuki in my Graveyard and deal 500 damage to my opponent" Yugo states and he smiles madly. Rin steps forward "Yugo!" She calls out, but another tornado blasts her backwards (Rin's LP: 0). Clear Bell and Sonic Wing both dissolve "Well done, Yugo. Now come back, the Professor is waiting for you" the voice of the Doktor orders him. Yugo obeys and walks away, leaving the unconscious and injured Rin on the ground.
Yuya was throw into a cell and the door is slammed shut, and he runs to the door "Yuri!" He calls out. "What's wrong with you?! You fought with us Lancers in the City…" Yuya asked. "The Lancers was just a delusion…All I do is for the Professor" Yuri replies with his eyes widened. He walks away "Yuri…" Yuya gasped, a small tail flickers in Yuri's ear...
Outside Academia, the Lancers have landed and made their way to a mountain. "Are we really going up this!?" Sawatari asked. "Yeah, coming from the harbour, this I the closest route to the Professor's lab" Sora replies. Crow grins "So instead of taking a detour we're diving straight into the enemies' base? Sounds fun!" He comments. "Yuya…Sir…" Yuzu whispers. "All right, let's go!" Reiji declares. "Yeah!" All the Lancers agrees, and they charge towards the cliff.
