Survival Duel

In the Throne Room "Sanders, reporting in. The enemy's main force has landed on the northern coast of the Island!" Sanders reports. "Understood. Execute the plan immediately. But make sure you stop Yuzu Hiragi" The Professor orders. "Yes sir! Leave it to me" Sanders replies and the screen turns off.

On the northern coast of Academia, Sawatari struggle to the top of the cliff "Damn it!" He cursed. "Did we really have to climb up this way?!" Sawatari asked. "Quit complaining and climb up!" Gongenzaka tell Sawatari, who had on foot on Gongenzaka's head. The other Lancers, minus Crow, where wait for Sawatari and Gongenzak. "There we go…" Sawatari signed. "Everyone's here, good job!" he states as Gongenzaka climbs up. "Took you long enough, Sawatari!" Crow yells out and he came up on his D-Wheel. "I got tired of waiting!" Crow states and he lands in front of the group. "Then let's get going" Sora suggested. "Everyone, follow after me!" He tells them. In the Academia's training facility "Troop, Salute!" A Blue Jacket Student yell and all the students and Sanders saluted. "Today, I have gather you, the most elite of students of our Duel Academia, for a special lesson" Sanders states. "Our target is a hostile group called the Lancers. As we speak, they are attempting a bold plan to invade this island! They're coming ever closer to our holy training grounds! In order to take you all to the next level as Duel Warriors, you all will be using them...as stepping stones!" He declares as he points to the three screens showing the Lancers. "Yes sir!" The students reply.

On the cliff area the Lancers were making their way to Academia "I thought there'd be a big welcoming party for us when we landed but...It's awfully quiet…" Crow comments. "They must of all ran away after hearing how the great Shingo Sawatari, who ran rampant in Heartland and the City, was here!" Sawatari gloats. "No, they're here" Yuzu states as she looks around. "Correct. We're already…" Tsukikage agrees as got ready to fight. "Surrounded" Gongenzaka finishes. "Huh?" Sawatari said as he looks. Then red jacket's Academia Soldiers jumps up from the sides of the cliff and surrounds them. Reiji get ready to fight, while Reira hold's Reiji's leg. "I knew they'd show up!" Sora states. "Then, as we planned…!" Yuzu states. "Let's get going!" Crow exclaims. "Yeah!" Gongenzaka and Sawatari said, and the Lancers charges. Yuzu activates her roller-blades and zoom past the Academia students "If we're surrounded by Academia Soldiers" Yuzu thinks. "First, Yuzu and I and..." Crow thinks as he rams two Academia Soldiers "Myself will leap in ahead to draw their attention!" Tsukikage thinks as he dodges two Academia Soldiers who tries to attack him. Crow swerves around "All right, now!" Reiji states. "This way!" Sora said and he, Reiji and Reira went on ahead. "During that, I'll lead Reria and Reiji out through the gap they've made" Sora thinks. "They're getting away!" one of the Academia Soldiers exclaims. "After them!" another Academia Soldiers exclaims and tries to get them, but Gongenzaka and Sawatari blocks them. "And I, the man, Gongenzaka, along with..." Gongenzaka said. "The Hyper Strong Duellist, Shingo Sawatari..." Shingo said. "Will wall them off!" Both of them exclaims. Three of the Academia Soldiers looks at each other and the middle one nod. "We've got this handled now, hurry up and get going! Don't let their boss get away!" Sawatari tells Reiji, Reira and Sora. "Got it, we're counting on you!" Sora replies and he, Reria and Reiji continues on.

"Reiji and the others have safety gotten out" Yuzu states. "Good" Crow said. Yuzu and Tsukikage nods to each other. "All that's left…" Gongenzaka states. "Is to crush these guys!" Sawatari states as he cracked his knuckles. "DUEL!" Everyone cries out as the Field Spell: Crossover activates. In the Academia's training facility, Sanders and the elite Academia Students watches throw the monitors "Professor! Part of the enemy's forces has broken through the blockade and is heading this way!" One of the Elite Students states. "Has the plan to capture them failed?" Another Elite Student asked. Sanders slap his whip onto his hand "There are no issues with it at all. That is all a part of our scenario" He states "There are 5 enemies and we have 3 times their forces. How would you fight them if you were the commanding officer?" Sanders asked them. "I would spilt our forces three to one and attack them in waves!"an male student states. "Immediately force a battle royal and..." A Female student said. "Our Duellist should be able to handle taking them out one on one!" Another male student states. Sanders slams his whip on his chair "I told you from the start the goal of this mission is capturing them, not elimination!" He yells at them. "Yes! Sorry, sir!" The elite students responds. "Good…Watch closely as I show you how to properly execute a capture mission" Sanders states. "Yes, sir!" The elite students replies.

"Battle! I attack Ancient Gear Hunting Hound with Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei!" Gongenzaka declares and Big Benkei destroys three Ancient Gear Hunting Hounds. "I attack Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound with Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain Shower!" Crow declares and Raikiri destroys six Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hounds. "Go! Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra! Graceful Wave!" Yuzu declares and Mozarta destroys four Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hounds. "Damn it!" one of the Academia students cursed, then all of the Academia students starts to run away. "They're running away!? What about my turn with Superstar!?" Sawatari exclaims as he had Abyss Actor - Superstar. "You won't escape!" Gongenzaka said as he, Yuzu and Tsukikage, who has Twilight Ninja Shingetsu on his field, went after them. "Let me get a chance to fight too!" Sawatari exclaims and he follows them. "My mission is to make sure Reiji Akaba's ambition comes to pass. I will not let you interfere!" Tsukikage states. The Lancers follow them in to the Academia's training facility "Oh no..." Tsukikage gasped. "Wait! What lies ahead of us is the enemy's-"He tries to warn then other. "Trap Activate: A Big Haul!" Sanders's voice declares and five net captured the Lancers and their monsters dissipate. "We've been had!" Crow said as he and Yuzu were being pulled up. "Damn it!" Sawatari cursed as he and Gongenzaka went up. "They set us up...!" Gongenzaka states. "It should have been obvious a trap was waiting after their retreat...What a foolish error!" Tsukikage laments. "Mission complete! We have captured our five targets!" someone reports. "Good work, well done. As expected of my students" Sanders states. The elite students starts to applause, but Sanders slams his whip on his chair and stops them.

"Your special lesion begins now!" Sanders tells them. "Ted, Ethan, Bernie, Jabob, and Ema come forward!" He orders them. "Yes, sir!" They respond and steps forward. "You five are the ones with the greatest abilities out of the ones of this top-level class that I have taught. I am now going to be sending the five of you into the arena with our prisoners! And there, you will take part in a Survival Duel where only one will remain! This is not training! This is real combat! You are all modern gladiators! Burn your fighting spirit and survive! Devour the strong and make their strength you own! Win and return here standing above them! Glory on The Academia!" Sanders exclaims. "Glory on The Academia!" The Five students exclaims. "Today is the day you will be created...My greatest masterpiece..." Sanders thinks.

The Lancers were on a platform that extended to the arena "What is this place!?" Gongenzaka wonders. "This is Duel Academia's scared training ground that gives birth to our Duel Warriors!" Sanders tells them. "Duel Warriors?!" Crow asked as the platform stops. "Stop using Duelling as a tool for war!" Yuzu demands. "That's a mistaken!" She states. Sander chuckles "Today we'll be greeting you with our greatest enforcement" Sander explains. "Greatest enforcement?" Gongenzaka repeats. "Get off your high horse! Talking us to a place like this…!" Sawatari exclaims. "You lot will be teaching materials for Academia's special lessons!" Sanders states, the Lancers were shocked at what he just said. "You lot will have a 5v5 Battle Royal with my elite students! Until one of you remains in this arena!" Sanders explains. "Until one remains?! You're going to fight amongst yourselves too?!" Yuzu shocked. "That's correct. This is a Survival Duel where only one may remain!" Sanders states. "You can't mean...the losers are turned into cards?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "Of course. Since this is a special lesson to create the strongest warriors!" Sanders replies. "Enough of this! I won't ever take part in that kind of Duel!" Yuzu exclaim. "If you won't take part, then you'll allow yourselves to be turned into cards without resistance!" Sanders states, the Lancers gasped at this. The five elite students then came on another platform. "My elite students! What Academia needs is warriors! Not students who are capable of earning high grades! Become the strongest! I wish you the best of luck. Glory On The Academia!" Sanders yells out. "Glory On The Academia!" The Students exclaims. "Let's begin! Field Spell: Predaprimal Jungle, activate!" Sanders declares and the arena turns into a jungle. The Lancers gasped and then their Duel Disk starts to beep, and they look at them. "Field Spell: Crossover" The Duel Disk states and platforms appeared and the Acton Cards were scatters. "Go! The Survival Duel begins!" Sanders declares.

"A last-man-standing Survival Duel?" Yuzu comments. "So that means even if don't turn them into cards…They'll turn each other into card?" Gongenzaka wonders. "I won't allow it! I'll never do that!" Yuzu states. "Then are you just going to shut up and let them turn you into a card!?" Sawatari asked. Yuzu didn't answers. "I'll be the last one standing" Ted states. "No, I will be. I will defeat the most Lancers!" Ema said. Then the elite students sent off. "I won't lose to all of you!" Jacob states and they all spilt up. "Sawatari has a good point. If our goal is to save Yusho and Yuya, Yuzu…We have get out of here alive first!" Crow states. Tsukikage then takes off "Tsukikage!" Yuzu calls out. "First, we must confirm our enemies' movements. You all wait here!" Tsukikage tells them and set off. "Tsukikage!" Yuzu calls out. Tsukikage jumps from one tree to another "Because of my failure, my comrades are now in this situation. Now that it's come to this, I'll seal our enemies' movements, and give my allies a chance to escape!" Tsukikage thinks. Unknown to him there was someone watching from the bushes.

On a screen there were 11 dots, 6 were moving. "They've started moving…It's finally the start of this special lesson" Sander observes. "Today you will all bear witness to the birth of the greatest warrior! Burn the results of this Duel into your eyes" He tells the rest of the elite students. "Yes sir!" The Students respond.

Tsukikage was still jumping from one tree to another looking for the enemies, then something went be him "I'm being watched…By eyes of a beast that seem like they're stalking its prey…me!" Tsukikage observes. He keeps on moving and the figure follow, then Bernie appears. "The Lancers are here!" He exclaims. Then he hears a noise and gets ready to Duel, in the bushes a pair of glowing eyes were gleamed and Bernie screams in terror. "Huh?" Crow said. "What was that?!" Gongenzaka wonders. "Did someone get taken out?!" Sawatari wonders. "Don't tell me Tsukikage…!" Yuzu gasped. "Let's go!" She said and they ran off. "Someone already defeated a Lancers?" Ted wonders when he heard the scream. "Well done! I won't lose!" Ema said and takes off. "That was now was…" Jabob said. "Tsukikage!" Yuzu calls out. "It was around here…" She whispers. "Look, Yuzu!" Gongenzaka call out to her and she run to him. Gongenzaka was kneeled holding a card, Yuzu taken the card from him. "Th-This is…!" Yuzu gasped. Bernie was the one sealed in the card. "An Academia student?" Crow asked. "Don't tell me Tsukikage did this…" Sawatari asked. "What're you talking about!? He'd never…!" Yuzu exclaims. "No, maybe Academia turned Tsukikage's fallen opponent into a card!" Gongenzaka points out. Unknowns to them someone was listening to their conversion. Then they hear a rustle in the bushes "Who's there!?" Crow shouts and then Ethan pops out. "Did you do this!?" Sawartari accused Ethan, and Ethan runs away. "Wait! Don't run away!" Sawatari yells and chases after Ethan. "Hey! Sawatari!" Crow calls out as he runs after him. "Don't run off on your own!" Gongenzaka yells, and he and Yuzu went after them.

The screen give out a lost notice "Someone got taken our already…As always, he acts so indiscriminately…" Sanders think. "Hey…the words LOST just showed up, what was that?" A male student asked. "There hasn't even been any signs of a battle…was it some kind of bug?" another male student wonders. "Yeah, there are still 10 players present on the screen too…" A third male student states. "There are still four left though…One of these elites should be able to…!" Sander thinks.

Ethan kept on running until he runs into Ted. "Brother!" Ted exclaim. "Wait! Ted! We aren't going to fight each other until the end, right!?" Ethan said. "That's right…" Ted confirms. "Hunting the Lancers comes first" He states. "Good, looks like I shook them off…" Ethan mutters. "Shock them off? Did you run away from the Lancers instead of fighting them?!" Ted asked. "I-I didn't have a choice! There were four of them! And there was something else…" Ethan explains. Sawatari was looking for Ethan "Damn…Where did he go?!" He wonders. He then stops and looks around "Where's Yuzu and the others?" Sawatari wonders. In another part of the Jungle "We got spilt up?!" Crow exclaim. "Damn it…Sawatari!" Crow yells out as he went looking for him. In another part of the Jungle "Sawatari! Crow! Where are you!?" Yuzu yells out. "Sheesh, why'd they go off on their own!" Gongenzaka exclaims as he looks at Bernie's card. "I see… Bernie is already…" Ted said after he hears what happened. "But he lost because he was weak! When there are four or five of them…I'll turn them all into cards!" He states. "Bernie got turned into a card…" Ethan mutters. "H-Hey Ted. Don't tell me if we lose, we'll turn into cards too?" He asked. "It's not like I think we'll lose, but-! After I saw Bernie turned into a card…I thought maybe that could happen to me too…" He said. "Have you gotten cold feet now that you're out in the battlefield?" Ted asked. "I'll take out all the Lancers! Scaredy cats like you can just hide with your tail between your legs!" He tells Ethan and the runs off. "Scaredy cat…" Ethan mutters. "Hey! Hold up!" He yells and follows Ted.

"Where did that Academia student go?" Sawatari wonders as he walks through the jungle. "Hey! Quit hiding and get out here! No matter how many of you come out, I'll take you all down!" He yells out. Unknown to him, there was a battle going on above him. Tsukikage was Duelling the figure with Twilight Ninja Shingetsu and Twilight Ninja Nichirin, the Chunin. Nichrin attacks and Shingetsu thrown some throwing star at the figure, who dodges them and the stars almost hit Sawatari. "W-What the?!" Sawatari surprised. "What was that just now?!" He wonders as he looks up. In another part of the jungle "To think they're having a class involving a Survival Duel where only one person remains...! Academia is even more rotten than the City's Public Security!" Crow states. Then something hits Crow on his back, causing him to fall down "Resorting to surprise attacks!? How cowardly are you!" Crow yells out. 'He then hears rustling in the treetops above him and looks up and saw Tsukikage and his two monsters going through the treetops. "Tsukikage?" Crow confuse. "I found you! Lancer!" Ted exclaim when he saw Tsukikage's Duel in the Treetops. "It looks like someone else is already fighting them...Who is that?" He wonders.

The unknown Duellist kicks Tsukikage, but Tsukikage grabbed a vine and safety lands on swings up onto a stone platform. "The next I will attack you with Twilight Ninja Nichirin, the Chunin! Go! Battle, Nichrin!" Tsukikage declares and Nichrin attacks and there was an explosion. "Did I get it?" Tsukikage wonders and then gasped as red feathers came towards him and strikes Shingetsu and Nichirin, destroying them. "I set one card and end my turn..." Tsukikage said. He then hears Ted laughing and sees him standing on a tree branch. "Let me join in too!" Ted said. "Intrusion Penalty: 2000 LP" Ted's Duel Disk states (Ted's LP: 2000). "Another one?" Tsukikage wonders. But then a monster appeared behind Ted. "Huh?" Ted gasped and the monster attacks him "W-Why…?" Ted wonders, then a purple light covers him "What?! They aren't allies?!" Tsukikage shock. When the light faded, Ted's card floats down onto the ground. The figure runs around in circling Tsukikage. "Just who are you?" Tsukikage wonders. Then a monster appears behind him and Tsukikage turns around and gasped. A lost signal appeared on the Screen again. "Right when Ted joined, the LOST text showed up!" A male student states. "Why?! No one had started a Duel yet when he joined!" Another male student wonders. "Could that last alert have been from someone else getting taken out?" A Third male student wonders. "That's-!" A female student exclaims. "So then that last alert wasn't a bug?!" the first male Student asked. "Then that wouldn't add up to the right amount of people!" A Forth Student states.

Tsukikage was pushed into a tree by the one of the unknown Duellist's monsters and that unknown Duellist growls as he gets closer to him. "Is this the end?" Tsukikage wonders as he takes out his Kunai. "Even so…!" Tsukikage said went forward and slashes something. In another part of the jungle, Yuzu and Gongezaka hear Tsukikage scream. "That voice was-!" Gongenzaka said. "Tsukikage!" Yuzi exclaims. Both of them nods to each other "This way!" Yuzu states as she and Gongenzaka ran towards the scream. When they got their a purple light appears and both of them gasped. "That light-!" Yuzu exclaims. "It can't be…!" Gongenzaka gasped. "Let's hurry!" Yuzu states and the both ran to where that light was. When they got their Tsukikage's Kunai was sticking out of a tree. Yuzu was hold two cards, one of them was Tsukikage. "Tsukikage…" Yuzu whispers. "Why Tsukikage…!" She gasped. Gongenzaka takes the card from her. "I can't believe there was someone strong enough to defeat Tsukikage!" Gongenzaka states. "Tsukikage…He was reduced to this…" Yuzu cries. Gongenzaka then looks at Ted's card "And the other one is an Academia student!" Gongenzaka states. "Does this mean the students really are indiscriminately turning people into cards?" He wonders. Yuzu wipes her tears "No, there might be one more person…!" She states. "One more person?" Gongenzaka asked. Both of them look at the tree with Tsukikage's Kunai and the Jū ichi symbol carved into it. "Tsukikage had to have been the one to carve this" Yuzu states. "It can't be…11?!" Gongenzaka exclaims. "Yeah. Us and the 5 Academia students, 10 of us were thrown into this field. I don't think the students would fight amongst themselves if we're still here!" Yuzu states. "I see. If there were 11 total, this would all make sense" Gongenzaka understands. "There's someone else hiding here aside from us and the students! Tsukikage was trying to tell us that in his final moments!" Yuzu states. "Let's go Yuzu!" Gongenzaka said. "Yeah! Us being split up right now is dangerous! We need to find Crow and Sawatari, fast!" Yuzu states. Meanwhile, the unknown Duellist was confronting Ethan "St-Stop!" Ethan screams. "S-Stay back! Get away!" he begs as he disarms himself by throwing his Deck at him. But the unknown Duellist, didn't stop and Ethan scream as he was sealed into a card. Sawatari was running though the jungle "Damn it! What's going on?! Did someone start Duelling?! Where are Yuzu and the others?!" He wonders. He went pass where Ethan was sealed, and the unknown Duellist notices him. Sawatari stops when he felt someone nearby "Is someone there?!" He asked. Sawatari looks around, as the unknown Duellist stalks him. "What now? Who are you!?" Sawatari asked. A gleam came out of the bushes. "Quit shining your eyes like that at me! If you want to fight me, the Ultra Hyper Strong Duellist Sawatari, quite hiding and come out!" Sawatari said. Crow then hears Sawatari's screams "That voice was Sawatari's!" Crow gasped. "This way?!" He exclaims as he runs towards the scream.

At the Eastern Tower "Don't….go…Yugo…stop it…Don't join…Academia!" Rin mutters and the regain conciseness. Rin looks up and saw Edo hovering above her. "Are you okay? Are you injured?" Edo asked her. Rin quickly sits up "Who are you!? Are you with Academia?!" She asked. "Not anymore. I'm Edo Phoenix. I'm Yuzu and Shun Kurosaki's ally" Edo tells her. "Yuzu's?! They're here too?!" Rin shocked. "Yeah. Kurosaki went to the West Tower to save his friend" Edo states. "You're Rin right?" He asked. "I heard from Kaito that you went to the East Tower to save a boy called Yugo…" He explains. "Yugo! That's right, I saved Yugo! But he…" Rin starts to remember as she looks at her destroyed D-Wheel. "He has changed. He was a different person from the Yugo I knew…" Rin states. "He was being controlled. Yugo and Yuto as well" Edo tells her. "Yuto pushed Kaito out of the tower when he tried to save him. Despite that, Kurosaki still went to save his best friend himself…" he explains. At the Western Tower, Kurosaki was still running up the stair to the top of the tower. "The only way to free them from their control is to find the one controlling them and defeat them. He's most likely near the Professor…" Edo states. "It's a bug!" Rin exclaims. "Huh?" Edo asked. "I saw it! There was a bug controlling Yugo!" Rin states.

(Flashback)

Rin remember the Fusion Parasite equipping to Sonic Wing Clear Dragon and Yugo as he smiles while surrounded by a dark aura.

"Unless you squash that bug, Yugo won't come back to his senses!" Rin states. "Bug…?" Edo wonders.
