The Battle Beast
"After we were captured by Academia, we were forced to take part in their Survival Duel" Crow narrates. "You are all modern gladiators! Burn your fighting spirit and survive! Devour the strong and make their strength your own! Win and return here standing above them! Glory On The Academia!" Sanders exclaims. "Glory On The Academia!" The Students said. "It was a special class thought up by the Demon Instructor Sanders, where the loser are turned into cards!" Crow explains. Bernie screams in terror, Ted was attacked "Why?" He asked before he was sealed in a card. "St-Stop! S-Stay back! Geta" Ethan begs as he throw his cards, but he was also sealed in a card. The unknown Duellist growls "Is this the end?" Tsukikage wonders as he gets his Kunai out. Even so…!" He exclaims as he rushed forward and does multiple slashes. Yuzu and Gongenzaka hears Tsukikage's scream "That voice was-!" Gongenzaka exclaims. "Tsukikage!" Yuzu exclaims. "One by one, they were turned into cards, friend or foe…" Crow narrates. "Lancers!" Jacob said as he and Ema found Crow and Sawatari. "Sawatari and I…were challenged to a Duel by a creepy beast-like guy who wouldn't show himself!" Crow narrates. "Who is it?! Where are you!? Show yourself!" Crow demands. The beast-like Duellist was watching them in the bushes.
A while later, Ema and Jaboc scream and they were turned into cards. "Those Academia guys…in an instant…" Crow said. "Seriously?!" Sawatari gasped. "Where are you hiding!? Get out already!" Crow yells. The beast-like Duellist continues to stalk them. Ema and Jaboc's picture appeared with the LOST word on the screen. "They were wiped out?! They've surpassed the elite students I've trained!?" Sanders exclaims. "What's going on!?" A male student whispers. "Who's "they"!?" A second male student asked. "There's another enemies in there aside from the Lancers?" a third male student asked. "C-Could it be the…Battle Beast?" A fourth student wonders. "No way! That was just a rumour!" The third student states. "A wild Duelling beast that would indiscriminately turn friend or foe into cards…" A female student said.
Yuzu and Gongenzaka were walking thought the jungle looking for Crow and Sawatari. "After Tsukikage, Academia students keep getting turned into cards!" Yuzu states. "Just who is doing this? This third party that we haven't seen once…" Gongenzaka wonders. "I'm worried about Crow and Sawatari...WE better find them fast!" Yuzu states. "But we're in this deep jungle where we can barely tell left from right" Gongenzaka states. "I got it! Let's look for them from the top of that pillar!" Yuzu suggest when they saw the pillar. Crow, who controls Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain Shower and has no cards in his hand and, and Sawatari, who controls no cards, has no cards in his hand, were running from the Battle Beast. "Crow find some way to hold out for this turn! And then the next turn, the Special Great Super Ultra Et Cetera Shingo Sawatari will finish it!" Sawatari tells Crow. "Sorry, Sawatari, but...You won't be able to defeat him. No...Even I'm not sure if I'll win this...But even if that may be true...!" Crow thinks. "Battle! I attack Shingo Sawatari directly!" Crow declares. "What?!" Sawatari shocked and Raikiri attacks Sawatari (Sawatari's LP: 100). The attack damage Sawatari's Duel Disk "Hey! Quit messing around! What the heck are you thinking!?" Sawatari yells at Crow. "I set one card and end my turn" Crow said. "You jerk! Answers me would you!" Sawatari yells. "My turn! He said. "Duel Disk: Damaged. Forcibly retiring from the Duel" Sawatari's Duel Disk announces "What?! The Duel Disk is broken?" Sawatari confused as the blade disappear. "Crow...Did you do this on purpose?" He asked Crow. "I'll be enough to take him down. You stay out of this" Crow tell Sawatari. The Battle Beast watches them "My Turn!" The Battle Beast declares and draws. Crow looks around for the Battle Beast, then something attacks and destroyed Raikiri "Now! Trap Activate: Blackwing - Last Will!" Crow declares and the trap releases a light.
Yuzu and Gongenzaka were climbing up the pillar, when they saw a bird shape figure made of light and then there was an explosion. "What happened?!" Gongenzaka wonders. Everything was covered in smoke. Sawatari was laying face-down due to the explosion, he quickly regain conciseness, sat up and shakes the dust off "C-Crow!" He calls out. As the smoke clears, he see Crow kneeling on the ground (Crow's LP: 0). "Did I get him...?" Crow wonders. The smoke dissipates and the Battle Beast was crouching on the ground (Battle Beast's LP: 100). "It wasn't enough! But I've brought you out into the open!" Crow exclaims. "That's the enemy?" Sawatari wonders. The Academia Student were all shocked to see the Battle Beast. "Hey...could that guy be?!" The second male student asked. "BB..." The first Male student whisper. "It can't be! Really?" A fifth male student exclaims. "It's a shame that none of my 5 elite students could surpass him, but...Eliminating the Lancers takes priority!" Sanders thinks. "Watch closely! That is the strongest creature, the Battle Beast that I once trained myself! Codename: BB!" Sanders states. "Battle...Beast?" Crow repeats. "BB?" Sawatari repeats. Gongenzaka and Yuzu then appears "Crow!" Yuzu calls out. "Yuzu!" Crow yells out. The Battle Beast then jumps up in the air and pins Crow on the ground. The Battle Beast got his Duel Disk ready; Crow struggles to get free "Crow!" Yuzu and Gongenzaka yell as the run towards him. "I'm leaving the rest to you, Yuzu!" Crow tells her. "Crow!" Yuzu yells. "Don't!" Sawatari yells. A purple light appeared on the Battle Beast's Duel Disk "Crow!" Yuzu cries. Crow smiles "Frank...Amanda...Tanner...I'm sorry..." He apologizes and then the purple came out of the Battle Beast's Duel Disk. "Crow!" Yuzu cries out as she reaches out and remembers the many times she spends with Crow in the Synchro Dimension.
Then Crow's Card lands on the ground, Yuzu was in shocked "You! How dare you...to Crow!" Yuzu exclaim. The Battle Beast turns to face her, he was about to step on Crow's card but Sawatari was able to recover the card. "You did the just to save me...You were showing off too hard!" Sawatari cries. The Battle Beast growls "Were you the one who did this to Tsukikage?! And the Academia students too?" Gongenzaka asked. The Battle Beast just growls "Answer!" Yuzu demands. The Battle Beast takes a breath and stands up "What would you do if I was?" He asked them. "I will never forgive you!" Yuzu exclaims. "And neither would I, the man Gongenzaka!" Gongenzaka states as he and Yuzu activates their Duel Disk. "And I Shingo Sawatari!" Sawatari said, but then his Duel Disk sparked. "Damn it! It's completely broken!" He cursed. "Leave this to us" Gongenzaka tells Sawatari. "I'll avenge Crow!" Yuzu declares. "DUEL!" All three Duellist cries out.
"I Summon Gladiator Beast Laquari!" The Battle Beast states (ATK: 1800). "I'm sure you've all heard the rumors...BB is a defect product we have kept captive because it was too battle-driven and would indiscriminately turn friend and foe into cards. I wanted to raise you to be the strongest. But how did it turn out?! My 5 chosen students were defeated effortlessly! You lot are all next! If you don't want to be turned into cards like those 5, burn hid Duelling skills into your eyes!" Sanders tell his Students. "Yes sir!" The Students respond. "I set three cards and end my turn!" The Battle Beast said.
"My turn!" Yuzu declares and draws. "I, using the Scale 7 Stummer the Melodious Diva and the Scale 9 Pavane the Melodious Diva, Set the Pendulum Scale!" She declares. "With this, I'm able to simultaneously Summon Level 8 monsters!" Yuzu states. "Sway, Pendulum of my Soul! Draw an arc of light across the aether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth! Come forth! Awaken the sleeping virtuoso. Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" She chants (ATK: 2600). "Pendulum Summon…" Battle Beast said. "Let's go! I attack Laquari with Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra! Graceful Wave!" Yuzu declares and Mozarta attacks. "Continuous Trap: Gladiator Beast's Medallion!" Battle Beast declares. "Gladiator Beast I control cannot be destroyed in combat!" He explains and a barrier appears around Laquari, protected from Mozarta's attack. "But the battle damage is doubled" He adds (Battle Beast's LP: 2400). "After battle, I can return Laquari to my deck and switch is for another monster!" Battle Beast explains and Laquari returns to the deck. "I Special Summon Gladiator Beast Secutor from my deck!" He declares (DEF: 300). "Monsters that he can swap out after battle…That's why he took all of that damage? But I can't imagine he'd take this much of a risk for only that effect…What does he have planned?" Yuzu thinks. "I end my turn" Yuzu said.
"My turn! Draw!" Gongenzaka declares. "I, using the Scale 1 Superheavy Samurai General Jade and the Scale 8 Superheavy Samurai General Coral, Set the Pendulum Scale!" He states. "With this, I'm able to simultaneously Summon monsters from Levels 2 to 7!" Gongenzaka explains. "Pendulum Summon! Come forth! Tuner monster, Superheavy Samurai Battleball! (ATK: 100) Superheavy Samurai Soulfire Suit! (ATK: 800) Superheavy Samurai Prepped Defense!" He chants (ATK: 100). "Three Summoned at once?!" The fourth student shocked, Sanders just humph. "I Tune my Level 2 Superheavy Samurai Soulfire and my Level 3 Superheavy Samurai Prepped Defense to my Level 2 Tuner Monster Battleball!" Gongenzaka declares. "Swift like the wind! As silent as the forest! Soundless shinobi, land the final blow! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Superheavy Samurai Stealth Ninja!" Gongenzaka chants (DEF: 2800). "Be careful Gongenzaka, his monster probably has an ability it can activate if it enters combat!" Yuzu warns him. "Yeah, I can blow past that with my Steadfast Duelling!" Gongenzaka exclaims. "Superheavy Samurai Stealth Ninja can attack using it DEF while in Defense Position!" He explains. "Did you forget? Due to the effect of my Continuous Trap, Gladiator Beast's Medallion my Gladiator Beast cannot be destroyed in combat!" Battle Beast states. "Superheavy Samurai Stealth Ninja can halve its DEF and attack my opponent directly during the Battle Phase!" Gongenzaka explains (Stealth Ninja's DEF: 1400). "Nice! Now his monster's effect won't be able to activate!" Yuzu exclaims. Battle Beast smirks "Continuous Trap Activate! Gladiator Beast's Valor!" He declares. "As long as I control a Gladiator Beast my opponent can only attack a Gladiator Beast!" He explains, and Stealth Ninja's attack was redirected to Secutor. "What?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "And due to the effect of Gladiator Beast's Medallion, Secutor cannot be destroyed in combat!" Battle Beast states. "Even if you attack the player directly…The monster becomes the target!" Gongenzaka exclaims.
"It's too early to be surprised! You've awakened the monster that starves for battle!" Sanders states. "Due to Gladiator Beasts' effect, Secutor returns to the Deck after battle! I can Special Summon two other Gladiator Beasts aside from Secutor from my deck!" Battle Beast explains. "Gladiator Beast Augustus in Attack Position! (ATK: 2600) And Murmillo in Defense Position!" He declares (DEF: 400). "Two more Gladiator Beasts…!" Yuzu thinks. "When Augustus is Special Summoned by a Gladiator Beast's effect, I can Special Summon another Gladiator Beast in face-up Defense Position!" Battle Beast explains. "What?! Another Special Summon?!" Gongenzaka shocked. "I Summon another Murmillo!" Battle Beast declares (DEF: 400). "When Murmillo is Special Summoned by a Gladiator Beast's effect, I can destroyed one monster on the field!" He explains. "The first I'll destroy with Murmillo's effect is… Mozarta the Melodious Pendulum Maestra!" He declares and Murmillo fires two water streams at Mozarta and destroys it. "And I activate the Continuous Trap: Thumbs Down!" Battle Beast declares. "You're dealt 500 damage every time a card is destroyed!" He explains. Yuzu gasped in shocked when she looks up, and saw a giant thumbs down, and it shocked her (Yuzu's LP: 3500). "And with the second Murmillo's effect, I destroy Stealth Ninja!" Battle Beast declares and the second Murmillo fires two water streams at Stealth Ninja and destroys it. "At this moment I activate the effect of the Continuous Trap: Thumbs Down again!" Battle Beast declares as he gives a thumb down, and the giant thumbs down appears again, and it shocked Gongenzaka (Gongenzaka's LP: 3500). "He's doing whatever he wants to them! Wasn't this Gongenzaka's turn...?" Sawatari states. "How could I let my attack trigger this kind chain of events?" Gongenzaka laments. "I end my turn!" He said. "During the End Phase, I can Special Summon Superheavy Samurai Stealth Ninja from my Graveyard if it was destroyed by a card effect!" Gongenzaka explains (DEF: 2800). "In the End Phase, Augustus's effects ends and the second Murmillo is returned to my deck" Battle Beast explains. "Sorry, Yuzu. Your Mozarta was…" Gongenzaka apologizes. "Don't worry, there's always next time!" Yuzu reassures him.
"My turn!" Battle Beast declares and draws. "Gladiator Beast can Fusion Summon without a Fusion Card by returning the needed cards to my Deck!" He explains. "What?!" Yuzu shocked. "I Fuse my three Gladiator Beasts, Augustus, Murmillo and Secutor!" Battle Beast declares. "Wandering souls of ancient gladiators! Combine your power and rise up for your emperor! Fusion Summon! To me! Gladiator Beast Andabata!" He chants (ATK: 1000). "I activate Andabata's effect!" Battle Beast declares. "When Andabata is Fusion Summoned, I can Fusion Summon another Gladiator Beast aside from Andabata from my Extra Deck!" He explains. "To me! Gladiator Beast Gyzarus!" Battle Beast calls out (ATK: 2400). "Next I activate Gyzarus' effect!" He declares. "When Gyzarus is Summoned, it can destroy up to two cards on the field!" He explains and Gyzarus fire multiple feathers and Yuzu gasped. "The ones I choose are Superheavy Samurai Stealth Ninja and Stummer!" Battle Beast declares and the feathers strikes and destroys Stealth Ninja and Stummer. "At this moment due to Thumbs Down's effect you each take 500 damage!" Battle Beast reminds them (Yuzu's LP: 3000, Gongenzaka's 3000). "An iron-clad combo Duel with Traps and monster effects! This is what he was after!" Yuzu exclaims. "This is bad! Yuzu and Gongenzaka don't have any more monsters!" Sawatari exclaims. "Now then, which one of you will be Gyzarus' prey...?" Battle Beast wonders. "Gongenzaka or me...either way, the only way out of this is with an Action Card...But Gongenzaka can't...!" Yuzu thinks.
"Hey! Hurry up and pick already! Quit wasting our time!" Yuzu yells out. "Yuzu!" Gongenzaka exclaims. "What is she rushing him for?!" Sawartari exclaims. "I've decided. I'll start with you, direct attack!" Battle Beast declares as he points to Yuzu, who then activates her Roller Blades. "Go! Gyzarus!" Battle Beast declares as Yuzu when to get an Action Card. Yuzu spots one on a rock and when to it, but the Battle Beast stops her before she could get it, and Gyzarus attacks Yuzu (Yuzu's LP: 600). "I see! Because of his Steadfast Duelling, Gongenzaka won't use Action Cards. That's why she purposefully made herself a target!" Sawatari realizes. "Yuzu...! You..." Gongenzaka gasped. "Due to Andabata's effect, Gyzarus is returned to my Extra Deck after battle, and its ATK is added to Andabata's!" Battle Beat explains (Andabata's ATK: 3400). "An ATK of 3400!?" Sawartari shocked. "Then that'll take out Yuzu or Gongenzaka in one hit!" He exclaims. "Are you prepared?" Battle Beast asked and then growls. "Yuzu!" Gongenzaka calls out. Yuzu then went to get an Action Card. "Go on and try to get an Action Card!" Battle Beast said and he went after Yuzu. "I attack you directly with Andabata!" He declares. Yuzu went to get the Action Card on the broken pillar when all of a sudden Battle Beast appears in front of her and Yuzu moves away, but the Battle Beast kept on following her. The Battle Beast caught her up and growls at her, Yuzu looks up as gasped as Andabata was about to attack her.
Gongenzaka then grabs an Action Card "Action Spell: Benkei Guard activate!" He declares. "One Benkai Token is Special Summon! My opponent cannot attack any other targets but this one, and this token cannot be destroyed in combat!" He explains (ATK: 1000). The Token went in front of Yuzu and takes Andabata's attack (Gongenzaka's LP: 600). "Gongenzaka!" Yuzu yells out. "Gongenzaka...took an Action Card?!" Sawatari surprised. "Gongenzaka..." Yuzu whispers. "If you do this, you won't be able to use your Deck!" She states. "I was the one who was saved first...I always repay my debts! That's a doctrine of the Gongenzaka Dojo!" Gongenzaka states. "I activate Andabata's effect!" Battle Beast declares. "When the Battle Phase ends, this card is returned to my Extra Deck and I can Special Summon two Gladiator Beasts!" He explains. "Come! Gladiator Beast Murmillo (ATK: 800) and Bestiari!" He calls out (ATK: 1500). "A token that can't be destroyed in battle?" He wonders. "Then I activate Murmillo's monster effect!" Battle Beast declares and Murmillo fires two water streams at Benkai Token. "Benkai Token cannot be destroyed by monster effects either!" Gongenzaka states. "From here on I, the man Gongenzaka, am you opponent! I won't let you lay a finger on Yuzu!" He declares as he held his arms out. "Gongenzaka!" Yuzu said. Battle Beast smirks "I wonder about that...!" He exclaims. "I activate Bestiari's monster effect! I destroy Pavane the Melodious Diva in the Pendulum Zone!" He declares and Bestiari fires feather at Pavane and destroys it. "And I activate Continuous Trap: Thumbs Down's effect!" Battle Beast declares. "The controller of the destroyed card takes 500 damage!" He states (Yuzu's LP: 100). "You bastard!" Gongenzaka cursed. "Attacking Yuzu while she'd defenceless!" He yells. "I'll rid of you the eyesore first!" Battle Beast yells out "I return Murmillo and Bestiari to my Deck and Fuse them!" He declares. "Ancient fighting spirit of the bird of prey...Entwine with the soul of the spirit of a gladiator and become a storied hero! Fusion Summon! To me! Gladiator Beast Gyzarus!" Battle Beast chants (ATK: 2400).
"I activate Gyzarus' effect! I destroy two cards on the field!" Battle Beast declares and fires multiple feathers. "Two?! The only ones left are...!" Sawatari exclaims. Yuzu gasped as she looks up at Gongenzaka's Pendulum Zones and General Coral and General Jade were destroyed. "And due to the effect of Continuous Trap: Thumbs Down you take 500 damage for each card destroyed!" Battle Beast states (Gongenzaka's LP: 0). Then an explosion then occurred "Gongenzaka!" Sawatari yells out. "Gongenzaka!" Yuzu calls out. As the smoke clears Gongenzaka was still standing with his arms still out "Go, Yuzu! At least you must...go forward..." Gongenzaka said before he falls down. Battle Beast move towards Gongenzaka "Wait right there. I'll turn you into a card right now!" He exclaims. Gongenzaka looks at the Battle Beast with frustration. "Gongenzaka!" Yuzu cries out. In the corridor a familiar D-Wheel appears. Just as Battle Beast was about to carded Gongenzaka, Jack Atlas appears on hisWheel of Fortune and everyone gasped.
