X Nemesis.

Laura Kinney, we all know her by now. She is a product of the Weapon X program cloned from a damaged sample of Wolverine's DNA. Since she could walk, she was trained to surpass and kill Wolverine, but instead she joined the X-Men, becoming his daughter figure, after several tragic event along the way, including the death of her mother, one of the only people in the world who truly cared about her. But she has managed to turn her life around somewhat, putting her skills to use by fighting alongside her family.

Laura became part of X-Force, a black ops team formed by Cyclops and led by Wolverine. Cyclops intends to keep the team a secret from other X-Men, and use them to permanently deal with threats to mutant-kind. Laura's inclusion angers Wolverine since it means she will become a killer once more, directly conflicting with his reasons for bringing her to the X-Men. Cyclops is forced to reveal the truth to his fellow X-Men, so that the X-Force can be sent to the future to deactivate the Master Mold which empowers the massive waves of Nimrods that Bastion sends after the team. After Bastion's destruction at the hands of Hope Summers, Wolverine dismisses Laura from the team, telling her to set off on her own missions.

This would ultimately lead her to Vergil. And despite their first meeting leading to a brutal fight, that caused a lot of damage to both of them, they ultimately ended up getting married and had a son, who they named Nero. But an older version of Nero from the future went back in time to prevent his mother from being infected by a virus designed to break down her healing factor and kill her. He succeeded and was finally reunited with his long dead mother.

But it was not over yet. Thanks to his future knowledge, Nero revealed the location of Amiko Kobayashi, the surrogate daughter of Wolverine. Saved by him as a young child and cared for since. Its been revealed that she is the last descendent of the Shosei Clan, Mystical Guardians of Japan. But most of all, she is Laura's distant adopted sister.

Amiko had been captured a while back, and Logan had been looking non stop for her ever since. Nero knew where she was and informed Laura about it, before leaving to prevent another future disaster. Though he made sure that Laura understood that Amiko needed to be saved before she was turned in to another pawn for the villain.

With her future son's intel, Laura was able to track down her adopted sister to, you guessed it, another hidden base. Villains are not very original with their hiding spots. With her stealth training, Laura managed to sneak inside. But hidden cameras managed to detect her, and a certain mad man saw her and smirked.

"Unexpected visits, but not an unwelcomed one. Let's give her a warm welcome" He said as he sent out one of the most infamous monsters Umbrella had ever produced.

Laura rushed through the halls, but stopped when she smelled something. Before she could react in time, a fist burst through the wall and grabbed her by the head. She was pulled through the wall and tossed across the floor. Spitting out some dust, she looked up and saw a monster that many should be familiar with.

Nemesis. No one knew who he was before becoming a monster, but Nemesis was created by the European Branch of the Umbrella Corporation's pharmaceutical company. He was designed to have immense strength and power, yet to also be intelligent enough to follow orders and overcome obstacles, but not intelligent enough to rebel.

"Somehow I am not surprised they would have you be their guard dog. Whats wrong? Tired of chasing stars?" Laura asked as she stood back up "And I would also assume you are the one responsible for Amiko being trapped here".

Nemesis only growled as he began to stalk towards his new target.

"And people say I'm not much of a talker" Laura said before taking out her claws "Let's do this, ugly!".

Nemesis threw a punch, Laura moved aside, letting Nemesis' fist hit the floor, causing a small shockwave and Laura barely evaded the debris. Laura got in a combat stance, ready to fight her foe.

It didn't take long Nemesis to throw another punch, which Laura avoided by jumping back and charged back in. Within less than a few seconds, she closed the gap, but Nemesis lifted his leg, striking Laura in the stomach with his foot. The force sent Laura flying across the floor and stumbling across it. Laura growled and glanced at her foe, charging right at him and Nemesis responded by preparing another punch. However, Laura was smarter than that. She hopped over the fist and pounced on top of her foe. Nemesis managed to block the claws with his arm, his dark blood oozing from it as he flipped Laura overhead. Laura landed like a cat before glanced back and readied herself.

Closing the gap, Laura jumped again. Nemesis assumed it was another simple pounce and threw a haymaker. But Laura had learned from her failed attempts, and managed to slice open Nemesis arm using a claw on her foot. Nemesis growls and Laura hurried to launch her claws for Nemesis' neck. Seeing this coming, Nemesis grabbed her arms and threw her away. Laura cursed. She could see how Amiko lost to him. Nemesis had clearly been upgraded from his old self. He was stronger, faster and smarter than before.

Laura saw the monster charge at her again. Reacting quickly she avoided his charge by jumping of a wall. She landed behind him and attacked again, aiming for his skull. Nemesis showed of his impressive speed by turning around and quickly back handed Laura away. Laura landed on the floor, but this time, Nemesis was not going to give her time to get back up. He grabbed her leg, swings her through the air before slamming her in to the floor, hard enough to crack it. He repeated the same motiong, slaming Laura over and over again. But Laura was sick of it, so the moment Nemesis lifted her up again, she used her claws to slice him across the neck, forcing him to let go.

Laura hurried jump away to get some distance... but she didn't get far as something shot through her, causing her to vomit out blood. She looked down to see a tenticle had burst through her midsection. She was lifted in to the air as more tentacles stabbed in to her body. Nemesis let out a sound that almost sounded like a dark laughter, like he was enjoying the pain he was causing. Laura coughed up some more blood, but she was not done yet.

She managed to use her claws to cut the tentacles, freeing herself. Laura landed on the floor and quickly pulled the tentacles out of her body. This was not going well and Nemesis was on her again. Laura ducked under his fist and stabbed him in the leg, forcing him to bend down on one knee. Laura quickly stabbed him in the chest. She then proceeded to deliver a fast barrage of stabbings in to his body. But Nemesis did something unexpected. He stopped one of her arms by bitting it. Giving him enough time to grab Laura and slam her back down.

Before Laura could move, Nemesis stomped on her several time. He then grabbed one of her arms... and began to pull. Laura tried to free herself, but Nemesis was not letting her of. A sickening crack was heard, followed by Laura's blood freezing scream as her arm was torn clean of. Her bones where not covered in adamantium, so Nemesis was able to rip of her arm with enough force.

Nemesis lifted Laura by her remaining arm. He looked at the arm he had torn of, or more specifically, the claws on it. He then looked back at Laura before holding her torn of arm like a knife. Preparing to stab through her head with her own claws. But before he could, Laura's foot claw entered his eye, making him roar in pain and dropped both Laura and her arm.

Laura grabbed her arm before holding it against her stump. Hoping Nemesis would be distracted long enough for the arm to heal back in place. Thankfully, stabbing his eye was a smart move, as his regeneration was not as fast as Laura's. Her arm healed back in place and Laura was not going to give Nemesis enough time to recover himself. She rushed him and her hand claws found their way in to his neck.

Refusing to give up, Nemesis grabbed Laura's head and began crushing it. Laura cried out in pain and was forced to pull out her claws from Nemesis' neck so she could free herself. She jumped back, letting the cracks in her skull repair themselves. But then she heard a sound. She looked up and gasped as Nemesis transformed in to his second form.

"Crap..." Laura said. Nemesis was already more powerful than her, and now the gap had become even wider.

Nemesis charged with greater speed than before. Grabbing Laura by the neck and slamming her against a wall. Laura had only one more chance, and reached inside the front of her pants. Nemesis was confused, until Laura pulled out a grenade. She didn't have any pockets, so she had to put it somwhere. She pulled out the pin before forcing the grenade in to Nemesis' mouth. Freeing herself from his grip, Laura ran away and the grenade exploded inside Nemesis' mouth.

Laura turned around just in time to see Nemesis fall on his knees, unmoving. Laura knew he was not dead but he should be out of commission long enough for her to finish up here. But before she could move on, the roof was blow open and a whole bunch of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents came down. Several of them surrounded Nemesis, aiming their weapons as other prepared a way to contain him.

Laura was confused before Maria Hill, a very high ranking member of S.H.I.E.L.D., walked up to her "Stand down, Laura Kinney. Your work here is done".

"What are you doing here?" Laura demanded.

"We've been planing to attack this place for a while now. Your arrival screwed up the entire plan. Wesker managed to escape just before we got her because you decided it was a smart idea to rush in alone and let him know that his base had been compromised. Now we have to begin our search for him all over again" Maria said, her tone almost daring Laura to argue with her.

"He had my adopted sister. I had to-" Laura began, but Maria cut her of.

"You found out she was here and decided to do the smart thing and let me know about it so we could prep another team to find her and.. oh, wait. No you did not. It's pure luck Wesker decided to leave her behind after he fled" Maria said. Laura had no argument to that and Maria sighed before putting a hand on her shoulder "Listen, Laura. I respect you. And I have not forgotten the help you've given me in the past. That is the only reason you have not been arrested for interfering in a secret S.H.I.E.L.D. operation. I will let you go this time and I will be sure to keep you informed on your sister. But only if your promise to talk to me the next time you discover something this dangerous".

Laura was silent for a moment before slowly nodded "Alright... Sorry...".

"Go home and rest, Laura. Your sister is in safe hands. I swear on my life" Maria said.

"Thank you, Maria... I will not forget this" Laura said before she walked away.

Maria watched her leave before going back to securing the base.
