Welcome back for another chapter! How are you all recovering from that Alduin sudden appearance? Still shocked by it? Lol, glad some of you liked that I brought back Alduin. Although, some of you thought it was Miraak, no surprise since he wasn't part in the original story, just only mentioned. Also, before I forget, one of you put down a review saying that Alduin has Ilia…you DO KNOW she is a lesbian in the show, right? Just to refresh your guys' memories, Alduin is the mysterious man who was WITH Sienna Khan. So yeah, there you go.

Anyways, let us start this chapter off!

Chapter 49

"Alduin…"

Hearing Blackheart utter the name, Summer turned to her son and asked "Wait…you…know this person?"

"That…" Blackheart said, "Would be a HUGE understatement."

The male Faunus before them, who is now identified as Alduin, merely glance around and saw the White Fang, the Atlas soldiers, the Huntsmen and the students. But the moment he laid his eyes on Blackheart he smirked and chuckled a bit. Blackheart felt his spine crawl when he heard Alduin laugh, indicating that he knew who he was as well. Once he stopped laughing, he then gave off a serious look on his face as he placed his hands behind his back and slowly walked towards the White Fang. As he closed in on the White Fang, the members who were conscious slowly backed away, even the adults were terrified of his presence. He stopped for a bit before he turned his attention towards Leonidas and slowly walked towards him. Leonidas was sweating up a storm as Alduin was getting closer and closer.

The moment Alduin was standing in front of him and was giving him a cold stare, Leondias gulped and finally said "L-Lord Alduin…"

"Wait…Lord Alduin?" Blackheart thought, "But…that would mean…Leonidas knows Alduin. How long has he been on Remnant?!"

"Damn…" Qrow said, "Whoever this guy is…even Leonidas is scared of him…"

"Which begs the question," Winter said, "Who is he? And why is the Leader of the White Fang so scared of him?"

Now gaining some courage, Leonidas said "Thank goodness you are here! These humans have brought an airship to our land and attacked us! Use your wrath to smite them!"

"Liar!" Winter shouted, "The only reason why we are here is because…"

"SILENCE!"

Alduin's voice shouted as everyone covered their ears from his amplified voice. Leonidas regained himself as he said "Don't listen to them! Hurry, my lord! Destroy them before…"

All of a sudden, Alduin grabbed Leonidas by his neck and slowly began to grip it as he lifted him off the ground. As Leonidas gasped for as and was struggling to break free, Alduin said "You dare give me demands, Leonidas? Save your wretched breath, I know of your plans to invoke Atlas' wrath and bring war to Menagerie. After all I have done for you, allowing you to live while you stain the White Fang and letting you have a base here, this…IS HOW YOU REPAY ME?!"

He then threw him to a crate as Leonidas cried in pain as he fell to the floor. Alduin grunted in disgust and said "I'll deal with you in a bit."

After he said that, he then made his way to the others as Blackheart took out his Daedric Greatsword.

"Damn it!" Jonathan thought, "This is not happening! It's bad enough with the White Fang and the Grimm, but him?! As long as I still have my Dragon Aspect on, I can…"

However, he felt his Dragon Aspect power disappearing. He cursed his luck and poor timing as he felt Alduin standing right in front of him. He looked up as he stared into the eyes of the World Eater himself as he gripped his weapon tighter.

Sensing her son's agitation, Summer gently placed a hand on his shoulder and said "Son…you know this man?"

Alduin chuckled as he said "He should know me. After all…"

"I swear to god!" Blackheart thought, "If he starts going on about us, I will…"

"He is my brother."

The moment Alduin uttered those words, everyone, including Blackheart himself, were shocked and speechless.

"WHAT?!"

Ruby decided to speak up as she said "J-Johnny's brother?! But how?! That doesn't make any sense!"

"Yeah!" Yang said, "Isn't Johnny supposed to be…"

Ruby quickly slapped Yang's mouth shut, preventing her from spilling Blackheart's secret. Yang realized what she was about to do and just shut up. Alduin just laughed and said "It is true, he is made the same way as our father, Akatosh, did."

"Wait, what?" Summer said, "So…you really are his brother?"

Alduin turned to her and said "Of course, why? Who are you to him?"

Feeling a bit intimidated by Alduin a bit, Summer gulped a bit as she said "H-He's my son. I found when he was small on Patch."

"Patch?" Alduin said as he thought for a moment, "So that is where he ended up. I was wondering where he had gone to."

"You…were separated from him?" Taiyang asked, "How?"

"A tale for another time," Alduin said, "I have more pressing matters to take care of first."

He then looked at Blackheart and said "Come to Kuo Kuana after all of this is done, I'll tell you more."

As he turned his back, leaving Blackheart in a very confused state, Alduin said "I was informed by an…associate of mine that one of you told them of Leonidas' plans. The moment they told me, I had to come and see if it was true. And from the looks of things here, I say they were right."

Hearing that, Ruby perked up and said "Oh! Ilia did make it then!"

When Alduin heard Ruby say Ilia's name, he turned to her and slowly made his way to her. Ruby felt herself shrink as Alduin walked towards her. Once he was close to her, he said "So…you must be the human that Ilia spoke of, is that correct?"

Ruby gulped and replied "Y-Yes sir."

"Well then," Alduin said, "It would seem that I have you to thank for this. If it hadn't been for your warning, I wouldn't have been aware of what was going on."

"This can't really be Alduin," Jason thought, "He seems far too nice and not threatening anyone of us."

Getting on his feet, Leonidas said "Don't listen to them! They are just…"

Instead of letting him finish, Alduin turned back and shouted "FUS RO DAH!"

When Alduin used his Shout, he sent a large shockwave at Leonidas and once again knocked him to the crate, this time leaving a huge dent on it.

"I told you that I will deal with you in a bit!" Alduin shouted in rage, "The next time you decide to speak up, I will feast on your soul and leave your worthless carcass to the Grimm!"

"Oh wait…there it is," Blackheart thought.

Alduin calmed himself a bit before looking back at Ruby and said "As I was saying, I thank you for your warning."

"Um…you're welcome sir," Ruby said as she saluted.

Alduin chuckled before he walked over to where the Atlas soldiers were and said "Now…may I ask why there are Atlas soldiers on my land?"

"Your land?" Winter said as she walked up to him, "I thought Menagerie was home to…"

However, she stopped talking the moment she laid her eyes on his. The moment she stared into his red eyes, she felt her whole world darken as she felt her body stiffen in fear in his presence. Alduin leaned in and asked "And who are you supposed to be?"

Winter cleared her throat and replied "I-I am Specialist Schnee."

"Specialist?" Alduin asked, "If memories serve me right, then where is the general himself?"

Winter replied "He…went back to Atlas. The attack on Vale left the other kingdoms in shock. So…he had to return while I stayed to be in charge of these soldiers."

"Oh I see, so you are in charge here," Alduin said, "So it's your fault that you come into my land uninvited."

"What?!" Winter cried, "N-No! I merely came to save my sister and…"

"Ah, Ah, Ah," Alduin said, "Excuse or not, you trespassed to Menagerie unannounced, brought an airship full of soldiers and opened launched an attack on the White Fang on this land. By definition, you might as well declare war on Menagerie."

As everyone stood silent on what Alduin said, it was true: since Winter brought the airship and allowed her soldiers to attack the White Fang on Menagerie, it was technically a declaration of war. Before Winter was about to speak, Alduin said "But you are forgiven…this once. If you or Atlas pulls a stunt like this again, you will all feel my full wrath. Are we clear?"

When Winter nodded, Blackheart thought about that and thought "Wait…does that mean Alduin has been living here? If that's true, why haven't he left Menagerie? Seriously, what is going on?"

Blackheart looked over to see Alduin walking towards Cinder, Arthur, Weiss, Blake and Riku. When they saw Alduin walking towards them, four of them were about to ready themselves before Blake calmed them down. When Arthur, Weiss, Riku and Cinder looked at her in confusion, Alduin was already there and said "Well, if it isn't Blake Belladonna. You know, when I told you that staying in the White Fang when Leonidas took control would bring you your death, you yelled at me and called me a 'coward' if my memories serves me right."

Blake lowered her head and said "I…I am sorry."

"You parents were very worried when you left," Alduin said, "And more so when they heard about the fate you and the heiress here were about to share."

When he said that, Blake quickly looked up at him and said "Wait…how did my parents find that out?"

Alduin replied "They were in the same room I was in when Ilia told me the news. You should go and see them, young Blake."

As Blake lowered her head in shame, Riku looked back and forth between Blake and Alduin and asked "Blake, you know this person?"

When Alduin heard this, he placed a hand over his heart, pretending to be hurt, and said "Blake, I am hurt. Running away is one thing, but you never told your friends about, not only your parents, but also…your godfather?"

There was a moment of silence among everyone

"YOUR WHAT?!" Blackheart shouted out loud

"I'm sorry," Arthur said, "Can you repeat that?"

Alduin replied "Yes, I am her godfather, believe or not. I have been watching over her since she was in the White Fang in the past few years."

Riku huffed and said "Yeah right, you watched while you did nothing to."

Alduin gave him a dark look before looking at Blake and said "Let's see if any of this sounds familiar: when you stayed with the White Fang, ever wondered why you were always stuck with espionage missions, recruitment training and Dust robberies? It was because I had people on the inside directing you away from Leonidas' more heinous acts so you wouldn't be too involved with his cause. Or when you decided to leave the White Fang to join that Huntsmen academy, you believed that you were in the clear? The reason you managed to get away without being tracked down or hunted for being a traitor was because I made sure no one followed your trail."

When Alduin said that, Blake's eyes widen and said "Wait…you…did all that?"

"Well of course," Alduin said as he huffed, "Either that or suffer through one of your mother's endless rants. Personally, that was the easier choice. Now I don't have to…"

Bang!

Hearing the gunshot, Blake almost jumped into the air as she saw Alduin's left arm in front of her face as a small smoke was emitting from his forearm. Alduin looked at his arm and saw that there was a Dust bullet on it and, when he looked over to see who fired it, saw Adam in rage as he was holding his rifle at them.

"Ah," Alduin said, "Young Adam Taurus, still the troubled disappointment?"

Adam gritted his teeth and shouted "Step aside! I want her to suffer!"

"Dude…" Blackheart whispered, "No!"

"I'm afraid I cannot do that," Alduin said, "You, Leonidas and every single one of you will face judgement and will be punished."

Adam sheathed his weapon and yelled "Not until I have my revenge!"

As Blake stood there scared, Riku slowly walked in front of her and steadied his weapon. Before Blake was about to pull him away, Alduin laughed as he got in front of them and said "You fool, you really think I will allow you to exact your revenge? You have another thing coming."

Adam gripped his weapon and said "Move aside or I will force you."

Alduin grinned and said "Do that, and it will be the last thing you will ever do."

Wanting to stop Adam before he does anything rash, Leonidas shouted "Adam! Stand down, you have no chance of winning against him!"

However, Adam ignored Leonidas' warning as he charged at Alduin at full speed and, the moment he was close to him, Adam unsheathed his sword and swung it across Alduin's neck. However, instead of getting the expected results, the moment Adam's sword collided with Alduin's neck, instead of slicing through it, the blade suddenly broke off as Adam was in complete shock as the broken blade flew off and landed a few feet away from them.

There was a moment of silence as Alduin said "And that is your final mistake of your life."

Before Adam could do anything, Alduin suddenly grabbed Adam by the neck, squeezed it a bit hard and slowly lifted him off the ground. Blake was about to interrupt but Riku grabbed her and pulled her away. While Adam struggled to break free, Alduin let out a small growl as he slowly opened his mouth as his body was covered in a black aura. At the same time, Adam's body began to glow red until everyone saw it. What happened next scared everyone who was watching. When Alduin took a deep breath, everyone saw Adam's red aura traveling INTO Alduin's mouth. While everyone stared in shock, only Blackheart knew what Alduin was doing…and it scares him that he still has that ability. Adam continued to struggle against Alduin's grasp while his aura was being drained and, after almost a minute, Adam slowly gave up as his whole body became limp as the last trace of aura was drained. Once Alduin was finished, he let Adam go as he fell to the ground motionless.

After a moment of silence, Arthur finally spoke by saying "W-What did you do?"

Alduin simply replied "I devoured his 'Aura', he won't be doing anything ever again."

"You…devoured his Aura?" Weiss asked, "He'll just come back later at full strength and…"

"You don't understand, young Schnee," Alduin said as he looked at her, "When I said I devour his Aura, I meant ALL of it."

When Blake heard that, she gulped and said "You mean…he doesn't have his Aura anymore? He's defenseless now?"

Blackheart then said "More like soulless…"

The adults were all in shock that this person, this Alduin guy, can literally eat a person Aura and, to an extent, their soul!

"Holy crap!" Qrow thought, "This guy…I can't even begin to think what else he can do. Why didn't Oz warn us about him?"

"The general would have a heart-attack if he met this Faunus," Winter thought to herself, "More so if it was father."

While Taiyang stood there speechless, next to him, Summer thought "This man…so much negativity…he might be worse…than HER…and…he's Jonathan's brother?"

"Now then…" Alduin interrupted everyone's thoughts as he turned to Leonidas and said, "Shall you come quietly? Or you want to suffer the same fate as Adam here?"

While Leonidas stood there scared, unable what to do, he then said "No…I cannot fail now! I have achieved so much to get me to this point! The sacrifices I've made! I refuse to accept this!"

"And time is up," Alduin said unamused as he walked away from Blake and the other and stood far away from Leonidas, "While I do find your little tantrum amusing, I literally have better things to do and taking you before the council. So, here is what I'll do for you: I want you, to hit me as hard as you can."

"Wait…is he seriously challenging him?" Grif asked.

"That's insane," Yang said, "This guy is tough to face down four Huntsmen and Johnny, all while not being harmed."

"I don't know…" Taiyang said, "Leo there is tough…but that guy…he's something else…"

Leonidas, who stood there not buying it, said "What is this? Some form of a joke? I will not hold back, you know."

"Now hold on," Alduin said, "Just to be clear, when I mean full strength, I mean hit me with everything you got."

"And if I don't?" Leonidas asked.

Alduin simply huffed and said "Then you're no better than your brother."

That struck a nerve to Leonidas as he shouted in frustration as she charged at Alduin and swung his axe at him as the blade connected with Alduin's left shoulder. However, Alduin stood there unfazed with a devious smile on his face.

"Well," Alduin said, "Seems like I hit a nerve there. Maybe did more damage to you than you did to me."

"W-What?!" Leonidas said in shock, "B-But you should be sliced in half from that!"

Alduin shook his head and said "Oh poor Leo, when will you learn…you are out of your league."

And in an instant, Alduin delivered a powerful punch into Leonidas' stomach and sent the Lion Faunus flying away and he then collided to the ground hard. He slowly got up but, to everyone's shock, coughed up some blood and fell back to the ground.

"O-One attack…and he knocked Leonidas down!" Winter almost cried in shock.

"We were giving it our all against this guy and it barely fazed him," Taiyang said, "And this guy knocked his ass out with one punch!"

Everyone was in shock at what Alduin did, but only Blackheart stood there quiet and thought to himself "He's gotten stronger…way stronger by the looks of things. Have to admit, he's come a long way from being the tyrannical dragon I first met. Fighting him again…may be harder now."

Getting over his pain, Leonidas slowly got up as Alduin said "Maybe that will knock some sense into your worthless head of yours. Now, I will repeat myself one last time so you can better understand me. Hit me, with everything you got. Am I clear?"

Hearing Alduin mocking him, Leonidas growled in frustration as he raised his axe and his whole body was covered in a gold aura. All of a sudden, his muscles start to grow as his outfit began to rip itself apart as he his muscles grew more and more. While witnessing this, everyone had their mouths, to think Leonidas had this much power hiding away. The experienced fighters were all frightened that if Leonidas did this during their fight, they might not survive it!

Once his muscles were large and lowered his axe at Alduin, Leonidas shouted "You will pay for making me look like a fool!"

Alduin huffed and said "Like you need my help to prove that."

With a loud shout, Leonidas charged at Alduin, ready to kill him on the spot. Once he was near, Leonidas raised his axe once more as he brought down on Alduin's head. While some of them looked away while others stared in anticipation, unknown to the naked eye, Alduin's body blowed black for a bit and, when the axe made contact with his head, the blade and upper part of the axe were completely shattered. The moment Leonidas' weapon shattered, everyone, except for Blackheart, were in complete shock and loss for words.

As Leonidas stared at his now broken weapon, Blackheart said "You know…I should have expected this."

Alduin chuckled and said "What was that, Leonidas? Was that all you can give me? That was very disappointing. How about next time, why don't you learn to stand down like a good animal?"

Before Leonidas could do anything, Alduin suddenly punched him right in the face and sent him flying into the air. The moment Leonidas was in the air, Alduin vanished and reappeared behind Leonidas, delivering a powerful elbow strike into Leonidas' back, letting out a loud cracking sound as the Lion Faunus was sent to the ground once again and crashed into it. After a few agonizing seconds, Leonidas' aura slowly disappeared and he returned to normal size.

Everyone was in shock once again.

"D-Did he just knocked his Sembalance out?" Taiyang asked while being frightened.

When Alduin landed and looked over at Leonidas' unconscious body, he said "I don't know which is broken: his spirit or his back."

As some of the White Fang members were about to help their leader, Alduin quickly looked at them and said "If you desire to help you leader, you will suffer the same fate as either him or Adam over there. The choice is yours."

Every member of the White Fang stood there before they all slowly lowered their weapons. Alduin then turned to Winter and said "You are free to take these traitors away. Arrest them, interrogate them, I don't care so long as they pay for their actions done here."

"Uh…" Winter said, "O-Of course."

"Good," Alduin said before he turned his attention towards Blackheart and Blake, "I expect to see you two back at Kuo Kuana. We have so much to talk about."

And just like that, Alduin grabbed Leonidas but his torn clothes and was then covered in a black aura and suddenly took off into the sky and towards the direction of Kuo Kuana. Once he left, everyone was in complete loss at what they witness that day, the day when they all met one of the most powerful and dangerous being in existence, but for Blackheart…it was a nightmare coming back to haunt him. He knew if he wanted answers, he would have to go to Kuo Kuana to get them.

Just then, Victor appeared, ready to fight once again but was stopped when he saw everyone doing nothing. He then said "So…did I miss something?"
