055 - prompt: lovely
54. Moon
"The moon's quite lovely tonight, isn't it?" Or, a moment where a person grieves.
Juri is not better after Leomon's death. But the only one who expected her to be is herself, so she's really not sure what she was kind of going for there.
But the others can't handle that. They think they can but Juri is now experienced with grief enough by now that while she doesn't dismiss it out of hand, she puts it away for when she's alone and her puppet looks cute in the dark again, rather than like a strangling tool to hurt herself. That's not often, but it's happened enough that she writes it down and tells no one.
She hasn't looked at it in three months. Juri counts that as progress.
He'd liked the human world sky, scattered little stars and a moon that changed looks every day a little at a time before you noticed. And she thinks that's beautiful. She only hopes it can stay as bright as he acted it was, so she could pretend the world was in order.
Or if not in order, then just the right amount of chaos.
She can only hope anyway.
