Hello everyone! Happy New Year's to you all! Time to start a new year with a new chapter! I feel like this chapter is a bit short, but I hope you all like it. Anyways, let us begin!

Chapter 50

"He somewhere around here," Arthur said as he, Blackheart and a few Atlas soldiers were walking into the base.

After their encounter with Alduin, the Atlas soldiers started to round up all the White Fang members and had them arrested. The plan was to take them back to Atlas to further question them. Surprising, the members surrendered peacefully, of course, when they were threatened by a more powerful Faunus who can eat all of their Aura, you are forced to surrender rather than go against his orders. Right now though, since they arrested all the conscious members, now they are tasked to gather all the unconscious members, which include the beaten Team KBVO. Since Balenton was already on the airship, Blackheart, Arthur and the others were out gathering the remaining members of the former team of Shade. And right now, Arthur was leading Blackheart and a group of Atlas soldiers to where Otengui was knocked out.

As they were walking, Arthur leaned into Blackheart and whispered "You doing ok?"

Blackheart growled a bit and said "Not. Now."

Arthur gulped a bit and remained silent. In the time he has spent with Blackheart, this was the first time he'd seen Blackheart this angry. Although, Arthur would be too if he found out that one of his longtime enemies returned back from the dead and just openly called them their brother. But this wasn't any ordinary enemy for Blackheart, from what Arthur remembers, this was Alduin the World Eater. The one Blackheart had to kill in order to save his world. And for him to be here? That shock Blackheart's world to the core. After a while of walking, they eventually arrived to where Otengui laid.

Blackheart turned to Arthur and said "Guessing you weren't holding back?"

Arthur replied "He was a lot tougher than you think. I was lucky to have beaten him."

Blackheart nodded as he turned to the soldiers and said "Okay, take him away but be careful. This one is crafty."

The soldiers nodded as they approached the Raven Faunus and carefully cuffed his hands together. But the moment they picked him up and carried away, only Blackheart and Arthur saw a small object fall out of one of his pockets and onto the floor. Curious, Blackheart walked up to it, picked it up and saw that it was a flash-drive.

Arthur looked at it and asked "What's that?"

Blackheart replied "Don't know, fell out of his pocket. Wonder what's in it."

"Maybe whatever plans his groups has or plan to use," Arthur said, "Maybe it can be a lead."

"Perhaps," Blackheart said as he puts it away in his Dragon Gauntlet, "I'll look into it later. Right now…we have to deal with this mess…"

Arthur gave him a sad look before saying "Still upset about Alduin?"

"Arthur, I am beyond upset," Blackheart said as he ran his hands through his head, "The fact one of my worst enemies is on Remnant, it's just…too much to think about."

The two stood there for a moment before Arthur said "You don't think…he's this 'Great Evil' that you're supposed to defeat, right?"

Blackheart let out a sigh of frustration and said "I don't know what to think at the moment. I mean, maybe? There are still things that don't add up, like why would he help us against the White Fang? And why was he a Faunus instead of being a dragon?"

"You don't think…he is working with Elsa, right?" Arthur asked.

To his surprise, Blackheart just laughed and said "Working with Elsa? The guy is so full of himself, he wouldn't lower himself to help out mortals."

"But he technically helped us," Arthur said.

"That's beside the point," Blackheart said, "Alduin would NEVER help out someone who is lower than him. Work for him, maybe. But Elsa and her group planned for Vale to fall but failed. And not only that, they had help from the White Fang, who by the way were led by a power-hunger asshole who hates all of humanity. And you saw what happened a while ago, Alduin humiliated and practically broke Leonidas. If Elsa was working for Alduin AND Leonidas was part of her plans, he wouldn't have challenged Leonidas. I think there is more going on here."

"Yeah," Arthur said, "And the fact that he is Blake's godfather."

"DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THAT!"

On the airship, Winter was walking down the hallways as she was making her way to her destination. After her call with the general and informing him that they save her sister and her friend, she made sure that every member of the White Fang was secured in a cell, even those who have yet woken up. But none of that matter at the moment. She eventually arrived at her destination as she stood in front of a door. She took a deep breath as she knocked on the door. After a few seconds, the door opened, revealing Ruby on the other side.

"Oh!" Ruby said, "Hiya Winter!"

Behind her, Weiss, Blake and Yang looked over and saw Winter standing there. After the battle, the students were given rooms for them to rest after their battle against the White Fang. However, only Team RWBY took the offer while Blackheart, Cinder and Team AVGR helped out on gathering the White Fang members.

Winter straightened up and said "Yes, greetings Ruby Rose. If you don't mind, I would like to speak with my sister alone. Your family is the control room if you wish to see them."

"Oh," Ruby said, "Okay. Come on, guys."

Both Yang and Blake nodded their head as the three of them left the room as Winter entered the room and closed the door. Weiss and Winter stood in front of each other for a few seconds before Winter slowly walked towards her.

Knowing what Winter might say or do, Weiss said "Winter…I know you are mad that I got taken so easily…and I am sorry…I'm sorry that I wasn't fast enough to…"

However, her sentence was cut short when Winter grabbed her right arm, pulled her and, to Weiss' surprise, hugged her. Very tightly. As she was hugging her sister, Winter said "I am not mad at you, Weiss. I was scared…scared that I thought I lost you."

Touched by her sister's words, Weiss smiled as she hugged her back and a few tears ran down her face. After a while, the two sisters separated and Weiss saw a few tears on Winter's face. Winter smiled and said "I am just glad that you safe and sound."

Weiss cried for a bit and said "I'm happy that you are here, Winter. I…I thought no one was coming to save me…"

Winter hugged her again and said "It's okay now, sister."

After a while of hugging each other, the two sisters separated and Weiss said "You have no idea how happy I am…especially since…"

Sensing something wrong with her sister, Winter said "Weiss…what's wrong? Did something happen?"

Weiss sighed sadly as she looked at her sister and said "Yes…it's…about father…"

"Oh my babies!" Summer cried as she hugged Ruby and Yang tightly, "You two are alright!"

Both Ruby and Yang smiled but were groaning in pain due to Summer's bone-crushing hug. Off to the side, Taiyang and Qrow both laughed at the girls 'suffering' due to Summer's hug.

"Oh my precious babies!" Summer cried, "Don't you ever do that to me ever again! I was so worried about you two and your brother!"

"We're sorry, mom," Ruby said, "We didn't want Jonathan to go alone, but also, we wanted to save our friend too."

"Oh?" Summer said, "Jonathan planned on coming here…alone?"

"Yeah…" Yang said, "He's…really determined."

"Speaking of which," Qrow said, "How did he know where your friends were taken in the first place?"

When they heard that, both Yang and Ruby stiffened up a bit, not knowing what to say. What can they say? That a crazy god gave them a clue on where to find their friends. They would be the ones sounding crazy.

"Um…" Ruby said, "I dunno?"

Yang then said "Yeah…Johnny was the one who found that out, we just followed. You would have to ask him that."

The adults sighed and Qrow said "Well, guess we'll have to ask him that."

Taiyang then said "How are your friends holding up?"

Ruby replied "They are doing ok. Weiss is with her sister right now, and Blake…well…"

Yang then said "She left to meet with someone. I don't know who, but she looked sad about it. I hope she is ok."

Blake stood silent in a room as she stared at Adam, who was just sitting in a cell with handcuffs on him. But that didn't bother Blake at all. What bothered her was the fact that, the moment she entered, she expected him to curse at her or even yell at her, but he didn't do any of that. He just sat there, almost lifelessly as he looked at the floor with little life in his eyes. She even tried to get his attention, but he remained sitting down unfazed.

She sighed sadly and thought "Whatever Alduin did to Adam…it's permanent."

Feeling a bit brave, Blake slowly walked up to Adam and was expecting him to fake his condition to leap at her. But once she was close to him, he still made no movements. Now realizing he is no longer a threat, Blake took a deep breath and said "Adam…I'm…I'm sorry that this had to happen to you. I never wanted any of this for you. I know I hurt you by running away, but…I saw what path the White Fang was heading down and…I didn't want part of it. I wanted equality, but not through violence."

She continued to look at him for some sort of response, but Adam remained quiet. Blake sighed more and said "I know you're in there somewhere…and if you are listening…I am truly sorry for leaving you. And…I forgive you…I forgive you for everything you have done to me and my friends. Goodbye…Adam…"

She then left the cell as she closed the door behind her. Once she was on the hallway, Blake leaned on the wall as she choked up a bit after seeing her former partner in that state. She then heard footsteps walking towards her, and when she looked up, she saw Riku by her. Once he got close, Blake rushed to him and hugged him. As Riku hugged her back, he felt her crying on his shoulder and he softly rubbed her head.

After she was done, Riku looked at her and asked "So…how is he?"

Blake shook her head and said "I don't know. They say he is alive, but…he's not really…there. Whatever Alduin did to him, I don't think Adam will be recovering soon."

"Yeah," Riku said, "About that, what gives? Why didn't you tell us your godfather was a freaking god!"

Blake looked at him and replied "Trust me, I am just as surprised as all of you. I didn't know that my godfather so happens to be the same Alduin that Jonathan killed in his past life."

"His name is literally Alduin," Riku said, "He is a Dragon Faunus, like Jonathan AND he ate a person's soul. How could that not stand out to you?"

"Because the last time I saw him was when I was young," Blake explained, "Around the time I left to join the White Fang. I was young, Riku, I didn't really think about it. And yes, I thought it was strange that his name was the same as one of Jonathan's old enemy, but in my mind, I thought it was a common name."

Riku thought about it and said "Yeah…I can understand that. But still…Blake…your godfather is a literal god. How do you feel about this?"

Blake stood there for a moment and replied "I…I don't know. I have known him practically my whole life, when my parents would go to meetings or anything White Fang related, I would stay with him. Sure, he wasn't happy that he had to look after me, but he was kind…in his own way. It's just…I would never imagine he would be the same Alduin who is a god that can literally end the world."

"Yeah," Riku said, "A lot to take in. Well, on the plus side, he does care for you if he did all those things for you when you were in the White Fang."

Blake smiled a bit and said "Yeah, I guess you're right."

The two of them then made their way to the control room where they saw everyone, except for Blackheart and Arthur there. When they got close, Ruby saw them and said "Hey! There you guys are!"

Both Riku and Blake tilted their heads and Riku asked "Yeah, we are here. What's up?"

Winter then replied "Well, we just finished up gathering up the last of the White Fang in the area. Once everyone is aboard, we will head to Vale, drop you all off while the rest of us head back to Atlas."

When Winter said that, Blake looked down sad as Ruby said "Yay! Home sweet home!"

"Ugh, yes!" Yang said, "Wait, what about Beacon?"

Qrow replied "About that, the school is currently closed due to the destruction the Grimm caused. So for the time being, the students either were sent home until the school would re-open or sent to one of the other academies. Of course, there are some who are staying there since they have no where else to go. Like your other friends."

"I was gonna ask," Ruby said, "Where is Zwei?"

Summer replied "He is with your other friends. We figure they would need some emotional support due."

As both Yang and Ruby awed, Taiyang said "So, you guys ready to head home?"

Just as they were about to answer, a voice said "I'm staying."

Everyone looked over and saw Arthur and Blackheart walking up to them. Once they were close by. Blackheart said "You guys can head back to Vale, I am staying behind."

They all stared in shock as Summer said "Son, why?"

Blackheart looked at her and replied "You know why, mom. That man, Alduin…I need to know why he is here. And if I want to know, I need to go to Kuo Kuana."

"Kid," Qrow said, "I don't know what your beef is with this guy, considering he called you his brother, but the guy looks like he will tear you a new one."

"I know Qrow," Blackheart said, "But…it's something I have to do."

"Not alone, young man," Summer said as she pouted, "Who knows what this man will do, even if he can brutally beat a person and eat Aura. If you plan to go to meet this man, then me and your father will have to go."

Before Blackheart could say anything, Blake said "Actually…I want to stay behind as well."

Everyone looked at her as she said "It's just…I've been away from home for so long…and…it's been a while since I've seen my parents. And since they live in Kuo Kuana, might as well head there too."

"Oh!" Ruby said, "Mom, can we go too?! I want to see Blake's parents and see what they are like!"

"Count me in too!" Yang shouted.

"Uh," Taiyang said, "Sure that's a good idea?"

"Oh come on!" Yang said, "If Johnny is going, then we will go too! Besides, where exactly are we going to stay? I know Beacon, but come on!"

Thinking about it, Summer said "Very well, but you two will have to listen to us when we are there."

The two girls nodded as Ruby looked at Qrow and asked "What about you, Uncle Qrow? Wanna come?"

Qrow chuckled as he waved his hand and said "Sorry kiddo, but I have to head back to Beacon. Need to help out on getting everything up and running."

As Ruby whined a bit, Weiss then said "I think I'll stay with them. I mean, I don't want to head back to Beacon anytime soon. So…I'll stay with my team."

When everyone looked her in slight surprise, only Winter understood and said "I understand your decision, sister. Please…just be careful."

She then looked at Summer and Taiyang and said "Please watch over her while I am gone."

"We will," Summer said.

As Winter nodded, Arthur then said "Well, guess we will go with Jonathan as well. Just to see what is going on."

When everyone looked at Team AVGR, Grif said "Plus, I heard there is bombass food here that I wanna try."

"And get new clothes," Victor said as he motioned the four of them, "And we ain't going back all torn up. Specially Arthur there, girls will flock to him."

Since Arthur was shirtless, the whole time, Weiss tried to look away as she blushed at the sight of him, but she secretly glanced at him while no one was looking. Of course, Yang caught on and began teasing her about it.

Jonathan sighed and thought "Oh great, this is like them following me here all over again. All that is missing is…"

"I would like to come too," Cinder said, "We came here together, it is fair that we finished it together."

"And there it is," Jonathan thought, "I suppose it can't be too bad. I just need to make sure they are safe from Alduin…if that guy plans to fight me…once again."

"Great!" Ruby cheered, "We are off to Kui Kawaii!"

"Kuo Kuana."

Ghira, Kali and Sienna were waiting for Alduin to return with news, hopefully one that involves Blake being safe and sound. The three adult Faunus continued to wait until they heard the door of the Belladonna's home opened then closed afterwards. They all looked over and saw Alduin walking in…with a small smile on his face.

"Well?" Ghira said, "What happened? Is Blake alright?"

Alduin took a deep breath and said "Your daughter and her friend were safe by the time I got there. And I brought Leonidas back so he can face the council for his act of treason…well…if he will be getting up anytime soon."

Both Ghira and Kali let out a sigh of relief as Sienna said "While I agree that Blake is safe and Leonidas was humiliated, hopefully for good, that doesn't excuse why you are too happy, dear. Was humiliating Leonidas that satisfying?"

Alduin laughed and said "While breaking that lion would have been relaxing, that isn't why I am 'happy' as you would say. No, I am happy for another reason."

Before they were about to ask, Alduin snapped his fingers as a robed figure appeared before him. Alduin turned to them and said "I want you to bring some of those high-quality fish to serve. And also, bring some of that Mistral maple tea on your way back."

The figure nodded as they took off. A bit surprised by this sudden action, Sienna asked "Dear, what's the occasion?"

Alduin smirked and said "Let's just say I will be expecting a little family reunion."

And that is it! Short and Simple. Hope you all enjoy this chapter, see you all next time. Until then, please review!
