With the preliminaries out of the way- and after a nice guys rest, the others were all rested up.
And soon after some light breakfast- though I can't really say the same for Goku, we were ready.
My theory was that one of the reasons Saiyans became so strong was because they amassed a huge amount of food with it including Protein, Calories, Fat, Potassium, Vitamin A and C whilst also increasing the Calcium and Iron intake into their bodies.
They then digested the huge amount of food building on their superhuman physique before then optimising exactly where each nutrient went, which muscles or bone needed it that sort of thing.
This then overall enhanced their power, this was my reason- though I could be wrong.
"AaannddD- Ladies Gentlemen, welcome to the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai- the tournament to see just who is the strongest under the heavens- Now are you ready People- TO GET RUMBLED!!"
This elicited incredible noise and applause from the audience as they all rose from their seats- and then it began the lots drawing.
Immediately I leaped from my lounge area and crash-landed into the middle of the Tiles falling in the classic superhero stance and with a flip I was up.
And then even more applause ran my way, for I was the one who surprised and gave them all a miraculous appearance last Budokai.
With a quick bow to the audience I got up and soon the audience became silent as they were wondering what number I'd get.
I placed my hand into the box as I gently felt around it and using my Ki Sense, I could in other words see it and know what it was as Ki gave the user a sixth sense- like precognition if you will. After Dragon Ball- the Z section gradually forgot many abilities and lore of the Original Dragon Ball, hell they even had a lot of different rules on after life as if they were two stories on the same tree but on a different branch.
An example was Piccolo being a Demon in the Original while in Z it was altered to Namekian to push the idea home that this was no martial art manga but instead a space opera. Another one was those killed by Demon's would be sent to Purgatory and lastly the various deities in the original series were completely forgotten.
Though I didn't mind still I wondered exactly what happened to all those characters- it was if they were two different realities. Regardless however when I felt around the box suddenly as if someone was using telekinesis a simple Ki ability the balls shifted- however this only annoyed me as I redirected some Ki back to the user- clearly Chaozu as it sent him to his knees.
Though we mostly likely will become friends this act of his had annoyed me- this scene however never left Tenshinhan's gaze as he glared at me with the fangs of a hyena.
I gave him one back causing him to slightly shiver from- he was running up the wrong tree- and he'd find out soon enough… I got number 7 for some reason but I didn't really mind it- wondering who else would get the 8 so I could battle them.
After me Akuma appeared as he quickly pulled out a number 1 with a dissatisfied groan he left the stage, soon Ryu took his turn he got a 5 resolutely he left the stage but not before grinning at me with an amicable smile 'maybe he wants to be friends who knew?'
After him Krillin came on stage now with a height taller than him in cannon he stepped to the stage, though he was still bald- he had grown taller- as he hadn't trained as intensely in our time with Roshi and instead focused on increasing his bone density as to not affect his or stimulate his growth and also mainly focused on Ki manipulation saving him from ever being called a dwarf- instead we all got rival boosts- due to this he could grow to his presumably full height of 5'8. That was good I guess he was always denied a lotta things such as a nose, family and friends until he met Goku.
Calmly Krillin picked up a ball from the box and it had the number 4 written on it- after him came Bulma and she picked up a 6- Ken came and got a 3 and finally Tenshinhan got an 8- it seems I can't avoid fate- in the other timeline I read about- this guy broke my legs and then atoned for his sins- that's good though there'd be no leg breaking today.
So far the tournament matches were as follow:
• Number One Akuma VS Son Goku
• Number Two Ken Masters VS Krillin
• Number Three Ryu VS Bulma
• Number Four Tenshinhan VS Yamcha
The Demon VS The Gorilla:
"And- Now ladies and gentlemen, the first round of the quarter finals are about to begin, I advise you all to put down your phones stop what your doing and witness the battle of titans."
"Here you can see Son Goku, from the last Budokai- he came when he was a little child..."
Hearing this Goku butted in quickly - "Actually I was 13 when I entered- I'm now 16- as you can tell by my growth."
Saying that Goku now an adult earlier than the other timeline slightly flexed his muscles- causing cheers and laughter to fall from the audience as the announcer's spotlight was stolen.
"ahem… And on this side we have the man named the Demon- seemingly powerful with his usage of the Mutaito School of thought from three centuries ago- Now who will win this battle- is now up to the warriors-..."
However the demon seemed to have gotten annoyed as he announced his dissatisfaction- "Cut the Chit-chat I wanna Battle you dumb blonde!"
Hearing this the announcer nodded as slowly the gong rang out with an ear shattering ring announcing the start of the battle.
The demon however seemed was going straight to killing his foe as he activated his ability of darkness- gradually a reddish black fog of an aura roused around him before it spilled out of him then his already red hair began to stand up lightly whilst glowing irresistibly red.
Then he called out to the young man in front of him- It seemed with his aura his voice became frighteningly low pitch as if a demon spawned from the earths very Ashura gates.
"BOY- ATTACK, I WISH TO FEEL YOUR POWER AND BRING OUT YOUR DARKNESS!! ARE YOU READY!!"
With that Akuma launched himself at Goku as he used the very life essence of his murderous intent to amplify his powers and formed a coat of murder upon his fists- it was clear the being was out for blood as he then reached Goku who was seemingly stuck in his position- the battle intent and murderous intent leaking out from Akuma's very being had engulfed Goku's warrior side- he could feel it the very same air as when he got excited in a battle- it was clearly a battle to the death yet his body accepted it- subconsciously fell for it- what was all the mental training for…
Gradually the very fibre of his being began to be engulfed by his tendencies by his instincts and soon his face began to change enlarging his jaw bone as his mouth opened wide with sharp canines ready to attack before his body bulked further and then his eyes glowed gold and his hair flew into the air.
Then a deep smile grew on Akuma's face – yes he was anticipating such darkness- clearly this as the heir to the {Shun Goku Satsu} just like him his emotions would be removed as he would access a power far greater than any other.
Goku still sane due to the ability of his incredibly trained mind due to training with Kami in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber alongside Krillin. He was clearly in control yet the bloodlust in the air aroused his warriors instincts- he knew this would be bloody.
And to avoid that he'd need to end this fast- he knew he could snap the demon like a twig as his power had been increased by 10 damn times yet this smog Akuma leaked that he called Satsui No Hado only strengthened him further.
