Prompt from Chloe: Tracer gets injured during a mission and Mercy is preoccupied with Genji, Emily visits her and gives her a lecture about being so care free.
….….…..
Lena limped into her and Emily's shared apartments, the wound on her leg bothering her more than she'd ever care to admit.
"Hello, Lena."
Lena turned at the familiar voice, wincing at the look on her girlfriends' face. Whilst Angela had been very busy with Genji (even though the Japanese man had barely been injured), there was no doubt that she would have called Emily to let her know that Lena would try and hide her own injuries.
Slowly, Emily got to her feet and encircled Lena's elbow in a grip that Lena was sure would tighten if she tried to make a quick getaway. Not that she would have dared, not when the look on Emily's face indicated that she was about to regret every bad thing she'd ever done in her life.
Emily gently helped her to their bedroom, before pushing her onto the bed
"Lena, you are the biggest idiot in this entire world."
Lena didn't really have a response to that.
"Angela told me everything about this mission, and you know what, it's just like every other time you've ever gotten in trouble! You decided to test fly something that was volatile and ended up unable to stop yourself from travelling through time! You jump out of planes without parachutes, you taunt enemies and, much like with what happened today, you hid in a bush and pissed off Talon agents!"
Lena sat still, listening to Emily's rant, a torrent of words flowing in one ear and out the other as Emily continued.
"What were you thinking Lena?! Did leave your common sense behind in the past?! Do you want to die! Do you have to be so stupid?! I-I- AAUUUURGH!"
Time seemed to stand still for a few moments after Emily's outburst of frustration.
Slowly, Lena raised her head and winced, "Emily?"
Emily's entire posture changed, her frustration melting in seconds. She could never be mad at Lena for too long. "Don't… I'm still mad at you."
Lena tried a new tactic, darting forwards and pulling her girlfriend into a hug, smiling gratefully when Emily tightened her grip, one hand running up and down Lena's back.
"I'm sorry." Lena whispered, "I'm so sorry. I honestly didn't see the danger in flying that jet, I didn't think about how it would affect you."
"… I know but- "Emily took a deep breath, "Please, please think of me when you go on these missions."
"I promise."
