So, in short, Gohan got his ass firmly handed to him on a silver dining platter as an appetizer. But, we got some other fights to get into. Let's get to it!
By the by, Dragon Ball related topic, anyone else disappointed in the final Xenoverse 2 dlc? The new techniques are amazing, sure. However, several basic mess ups across the board, a fairly... middle road ending scene. Introduction of an end of Z Goku variant... which you can't fight alongside or dress your custom Goku in, and Android 21's lab coat... and not the rest of her clothes that are Japan exclusive. Fairly mediocre quests. At least the game officially ending shows they'll be making Xenoverse 3 for next gen?
Fair end to an endearing, yet incredibly flawed Dragon Ball game.
Also, apologies for the abysmal upload rate. Really, it's just come down to busy holidays and other things taking up my mind.
Onward, Brave Heroes!
The land erupts, a massive explosion sending a wave of broken landscape. From the shining light, an arc of gold soars out. Goku shields himself as the explosion breaks, a large plume of smoke billowing out.
He lets out a gasp, sensing Vegeta appear behind him. The prince wraps Goku in a headlock. He chokes out some air, the prince grinning madly. Goku grits his teeth, growling as he elbows back into Vegeta's side. He gets a cough out of the prince, elbowing twice more.
Vegeta snarls, leaning back and hiking a knee into Goku's side. Goku coughs out again, Vegeta redoubling his pressure on his neck. Goku powers up, lightning sparking around the two of them. They fly through the air before dive bombing downward.
Goku twists mid flight, putting Vegeta first, as they slam into the hard ground. The rocks shatter and blast out as the two Saiyans burst from the ground, rolling separate to their feet. Goku charges before Vegeta's full up, landing a right hook.
Vegeta moves to guard with one hand, but Goku grabs it, wrenching Vegeta in and elbowing the prince in the gut. He follows up throwing the prince away before following after. Vegeta recovers mid flight, throwing a hand out and firing his Big Bang Attack.
Goku's eyes widen as he throws his hands up, catching the ki ball. He's forced back, feet scraping the ground. With a shout, he throws the attack to the side. However, Vegeta's back on him, kicking him into the ground. The land erupts again, a trail of explosions arcing along the ground before the two break from the rocks. Vegeta uppercuts Goku up into the air.
Flying after him, Goku blocks the follow up, kicking Vegeta back. The two enter a strike exchange, moving back and forth between plateaus. The prince wins the exchange, launching Goku away. The low class warrior soars over the top of a plateau. Goku recovers, skidding to a halt on the rocky peak.
Twisting around, a Destructo Disk forms in his hand as he moves to throw it. Vegeta appears over Goku, forming ki in his hand and throwing it first. The ki, mid flight, morphs into a small ring. The attack catches Goku's attack arm at the wrist.
The man's arm is wrenched back and pinned to a rock wall behind him. The ki disk launched off target, firing out and cutting the next plateau diagonally. Goku's arm is pinned to the rock behind him, a ring of ki gripping his wrist.
Vegeta missile kicks into Goku, planting him into the rock. Flying back up, Vegeta raises both hands forward. A cocky grin comes onto his face. "Come on. You haven't gotten any new tricks in the afterlife? Don't tell me you ascended and stopped there!"
Goku glances up at the pompous royal, a smirk coming on. "Hehe, Getting ahead of yourself. I can tell you've gotten a lot stronger, even not counting Super Saiyan 2."
A large ki ball forms in Vegeta's hands, glowing white hot. The prince's grin grows. "Oh, how cute. You named it after you got it, too? Well, it seems we agreed on the name, at least." He aims the ball at the pinned Saiyan. "And it shall be known as the peak of your power... while I'm still reaching the depths of my own." He releases a roar, firing the ball down at Goku.
The pinned Saiyan pulls, but his arm is still pinned. He grits his teeth, glaring up at Vegeta. The ball closes in as Goku quickly snaps his free hand's index and middle fingers to his head. Just as he does so, the ki ball strikes and he disappears.
Vegeta's grin bursts into a bellowing laugh as the ki explodes below. However, just as the ball detonates, his entire vision is blocked out as Goku appears directly in front of him. The explosion behind him offsets the focused look on his face. Goku's left arm drops from his head as he swings his now free arm, striking the shocked Vegeta in the jaw.
The strike propels the prince down into the ground below. Goku smirks as he looks down at the man. "By the way, I HAVE picked up a trick or two." His smirk grew, a light of excitement in his eyes as he speaks up indignant. "Thank you very much."
The dust clears below, Vegeta standing tall, clothes slightly ripped. He scoffs, spitting blood out his mouth. "The hell was that? How did you get free?"
Goku snickers. "King Kai has loads of cool techniques, not just the Kaioken or Spirit Bomb. This one lets me hone in on a ki source. All I have to do is focus hard enough, and POOF, I'm there!" He states, getting animate with arm gestures as he explains. He chuckles once more. "Instant Transmission. It's the only way to travel. Although, your ring retraining thing is really cool, too!"
Vegeta stands stone still, taking that info in. "All you need to do is focus on a ki source, hm?" Slowly, a smirk appears, his eyes never leaving the Saiyan. "Then you should know, that particular quirk isn't special!"
Vegeta's hand snaps up, pointing his own index and middle directly at his rival. Goku's eyes widen as his arms come to a cross guard. Instantly, an explosion sets off on the orange clad Saiyan.
The explosion aftermath clears overhead, Vegeta lowering his hand. He chuckles, looking at the emerging Goku, seeing the torn and damaged look on the lesser warrior. "Did that ruffle you?"
Goku lowers his arms. The two fighters are in similar conditions. "Interesting trick, but a little dirty." Goku then brightens. "Oh, like... Dirty Fireworks?" He brightens. Vegeta's smirk turns to a scowl. He growls. And now Kakarot's ruined his technique name.
Rather than respond, Vegeta blasts from the ground up at Goku. The dead warrior responds in kind, to meet his charge.
Just before they meet, both warriors' senses fire off. Each pauses in the middle of the air, seeing very faintly an explosion far away. However, all that came secondary to the ki they felt from it.
Goku can only mutter out. "G-Gohan?" Vegeta stares in the distance as well, a minor scowl forming. Goku snaps his focus back to Vegeta. "We have to end this. Now! Buu is more of a threat than we expected."
Vegeta slowly turned his scowl away from the distance back to Goku. "Hmph." He cocks his head, frowning at the other Saiyan. "It's not a concern to us."
"Vegeta! You felt that just as I did. Gohan could be-"
"Wished back, if that's the case." Vegeta spat at the moron. "No, Majin Buu is still nothing but a speck in the wind compared to myself."
Goku's eyes widened at him. "Vegeta! You can't be willing to just leave them to die!"
"What's the matter there?" Vegeta stares at him, cold in the eyes. "They can be wished back. You, on the other hand." Vegeta's frown turns to a smirk. "This is what's important right now. Majin Buu is nothing to me." Goku's incredulous look morphs to a scowl at the prince's words. Vegeta brightens at it. "There it is! That's the look of a proper Saiyan!"
The two power up, charging and clashing once more.

Gohan... There's no doubt. This is bad. Bardock grits his teeth. Thinking the situation over. He needs to get to Gohan now! However...
Bardock turns back to the problem at hand. Broly stands, powered up and aura flaming around him. The large man snarls, eyeing Bardock like prey, muscles tensing and pulsating with pure power. That's not something he can deal with as he is.
Well, no time like the present. Subdue Broly, fight Majin Buu, save Gohan. Bardock widens his stance, facing the seething monster. He calls out to the hulking man.
"Broly." Broly's body tenses at the call with his aura bursting, but Bardock doesn't flinch. "I'm going to try this One. More. Time." The Saiyan's own golden aura flares, lightning sparking. He speaks slowly, but clearly, enunciating each syllable. "Let's sit down, cool off, and talk. This. Out."
Broly's eyes twitch. "Talk?" He growls out. Voice dropping, and aura growing around him. "Control! Control ME! NO!" Green washes over him. From the large man, a burst of ki blasts fire from all sides. The attacks scatter and shatter the landscape on all sides of the clone.
One shot shoots directly at Bardock atop his plateau. The gold haired Saiyan grits his teeth, swiping his hand and chopping the blast away. Bardock scowls at Broly, sighing. With a growing growl, his aura intensifies, the air warping as winds begin to flow inward towards him...
Broly's growls halt as his senses catch a change. The beast stares intently at the man.

Between the crumbling masses of land, the two rivals grapple with one another. They headbutt each other, knocking the other back from the grapple. Vegeta recovers first, charging forward.
The distance is closed, the prince unloading two strikes. The third is caught, Goku throwing a knee. Vegeta catches the knee with his free hand, but Goku's own free hand comes up, firing a blast in the royal's face.
Vegeta flinches back, open as Goku drops and grabs the prince's leg. The two drop from the sky, Goku dragging Vegeta down, before he slams the man into the rocky ground.
Goku pulls back, but the prince is already leaping back up and uppercuts the clown. Goku responds with a spin kick, but Vegeta pushes off the kick up above. Both Saiyans gather ki in one hand, smashing the ki filled palms into one another.
A trail of explosions courses through the land, flames and dust bursting around. The line of blasts ends, the two Saiyans rolling from the dust and debris, clothes shredded further.
Goku anchors himself, stopping his roll as Vegeta comes to his feet. Goku sweep kicks Vegeta's legs out while landing on his own feet.
Goku cups his hands, blue emanating from his side. "Kamehame-"
Vegeta, off balance in the air, hikes his arms back, hands overlapping. He scoffs as purple light sparks from his hands. "Galick Gun-"
Both fighters throw their hands forward, each attack not even an inch apart before firing. "FIRE!""HA!"
Both fighters disappear in a burst of blue and violet. A massive eruptive explosion clouds into the sky. Each Saiyan is flung away from the epicenter, bouncing along the ground before crashing to a halt.
The land settles, each Saiyan groaning and grunting. Slowly, they push themselves from the ground, stumbling their way to their feet. The cloud of dust between them disappears, the two already sending a challenging glare across the way towards the other. Vegeta's proud smirk is ever present, and Goku can't help a smirk on his own face.
Each fighter leans forward. The ground around their leaning feet cracks as each blurs towards the other. As they collide, the image of both fighters flickers through the other. In an instant, the sounds of punches, kicks, strikes, blocks, and parries sounds. Around the two original forms, After Images appear all around.
The images appear and disappear in different spots, the two fighters challenging the other in sheer speed of the technique.
All the Goku's disappear as the real one appears leaping above. He throws a ki blast down into the center of the disappearing images of Vegeta. The prince flickers into view, dodging away from the explosion.
A small sparkle of ki drops from Vegeta's hand into the ground under him. He looks up, eyes widening as he leaps back. Goku drops down, kicking into the ground Vegeta had just occupied.
Goku throws an open palm, an invisible force of ki striking dead on and sending the prince away. Vegeta clenches his right hand, the spark of ki under Goku igniting. Vegeta slams into a rock face as Goku throws a guard and takes the explosion head on.
The two recover, bursting forward yet again. However, this time, they each stop just a few feet from one another. Their eyes widen, shock on their face. The air shifts, wind blowing by them. The two turn to the distance, a fierce ki building.
Goku's shock clears a bit, a huff of a laugh coming out as he breathes heavily. "Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised."
The prince's smirk falls away, a scowl replacing it. His breathing is ragged, but he still stands straight. "I should have figured." The comment draws Goku's attention. The wind intensifies, their ridged hair starting to flow with the air. Vegeta raises a brow at Goku, a sneer coming on. "What? Did you expect me not to notice?"
Goku blinks slowly, unsure. "What do you mean?"
The question draws a glare from the prince. He snarls. "That you've been holding back this entire time!" He ends, clenched fist coming up for emphasis.
Realization dawns on Goku, the Saiyan's eyes widening more. "Vegeta-"
Vegeta's boring glare ends as he cocks his head and laughs. "Did you really doubt me that much?" He grins madly at the clown, eyes more unhinged than before. "Did you feel I was joking when I said that Broly wasn't a threat? That this MAJIN BUU wasn't a threat?"
In an instant, Vegeta's aura bursts around him, power flaring. Goku's look of shock morphs to a scowl of his own. "Vegeta..."
The prince's grin grew. "I know. I know you can do it, too." His low chuckle unsettles the orange clad man. "Well, know that anything you're capable of, I am as well..."
Goku composes himself, starting to scowl at the prince. "You got me.." He holds the gaze, seeing the anger behind Vegeta's grin. "I didn't want to use it. I shouldn't use it-"
"Don't patronize me." The angry spat comes back.
Goku grits his teeth. "Vegeta, no-"
Vegeta's aura builds higher, his voice exploding out. His grin falls to a roar of effort. "I don't care!" His hair spikes ridged. "Face me with everything, or be crushed." His power explodes, a whirlwind of dust and debris forming around his aura. "Then, I'll crush Majin Buu without a thought, and that testtube reject, Broly, then your equal clown of a father!"
His roar builds as Goku's look of shock slowly turns to focus. The mood shifts, a scowl forming as he looks at Vegeta. He widens his stance, his own aura slowly building around him. "Well... you don't seem to be offering a choice."
In the back of his mind, he can hear his master, King Kai, screaming 'no', but... well, it's too late.
The power around Goku builds, a growl echoing out from him. His aura builds, a whirlwind forming around him as the air shifts more and more chaotic.
The response brings back the grin from Vegeta. Just as they're both building power, a shining light over the horizon. Bardock's own power skyrockets. The prince chuckles. "That's it! These weakling Kais, empty threats, and worthless so called 'demons'... They're nothing to us Saiyans!" His power erupts. "Let's show them ALL what it means to go beyond!"
The land begins to crack and raise as both fighters begin to scream.

The sky darkens as ferocious winds blast over the land. The lands rip apart, cracks forming from violent tremors. In the storm, a purple orb of energy shines.
Babidi hides inside, ragged breath as he looks around. His eyes wide with panic, he flinches at each break. Under him is a massive crater. In the deep pit under him, the shredded remains of metal show through.
"N-n-no... They destroyed my ship!" Babidi twitches as a nearby plateau shatters. The winds grow more and more chaotic. The wizard gasps, looking around, calling out. "Buu?! Are you out there?! Did you cause this?"
He looks and looks, but all he can see is dust and dirt whipping by from the chaotic winds. The skies darken, storms brewing as far as the eye can see. Finally, a shattering of rock catches his attention, a flash of pink.
Babidi smiles wide, relief flooding through him. "Buu! Buu, is that you?!"
The mass of pink sludge twitches. It's then that the wizard notices another mass. Then another. Dozens of pieces of the original monster. The sight makes Babidi recoil, gasping.
"No! My dear Buu, please be okay!" He floats down to the nearest mass. "Please, respond! Be alive, Buu- AH!" He yelps back as, in unison, all the masses begin twitching and squirming.
The wizard flies into the air, his protective bubble of ki still keeping the wind off him. His look of fear turns to glee, a wide smile. "Yes... Yes, yes yes YES! Buu, you can hear me, can't you?"
Each of the masses all pop from their places, converging in on a single point. The blob of pink grows in mass and begins to take shape before its master's eyes. Sure enough, the colors of clothing and shape forms fully, Majin Buu standing in all his glory.
With a wide child-like smile, he screams out. "That was fun! Do it again- Oh?" The fat man-child looks at the sky. "Sky black now?"
Babidi drops by the monster, smiling but confused. "Uh, Buu? Does... this mean you didn't do this?"
The two look up at the sky, then at each other. The pink blob shakes his head, confused. "No. Was it Strong Guy?"
Babidi simply blinks at him, looking around him. Slowly, he begins to smile. "I don't know." He looks at the monster with glee. "But, if we find the one who did do it, you could beat them up, too!"
Buu's child-like wonder turned to absolute glee. Babidi drops his shield, moving onto the monster's back. "You ready, Buu?" He says with glee. "Let's see who you can have fun with!"
The pink monster bursts into the dark sky. "BUUUUUUUUUUU!"

The blackened sky backdrops a storming landscape. Rapid winds whip dirt around the darkness. On one of the remaining peaks, Broly stands, wide eyed and snarling. His full attention is on the next peak, a spiraling tornado obscuring the golden glow inside.
The winds around all converge into the top and bottom of the whirlwind. The power underneath reaches its peak.
Broly flares his power, the light around him changing shade and coloration before returning to normal. He growls at the tornado, eyes set on the glowing gold center.
In a snap, the tornado bursts outward, all wind firing outward. The dirt and debris clears into the darkness, showing Bardock in the open.
His aura lights him up in the darkness, wisps of lightning sparking around him. His hair spikes backward, then falls down to the small of his back. His eyebrows disappeared, brow more pronounced than before. A spike of his bangs curves over his headband and frames the left side of his face. He stands in the next level, Super Saiyan 3.
Broly snarls at the appearance, power raising more and more. However, Bardock doesn't move. Broly raises his hand, a green ki ball forming.
The elder Saiyan still hasn't moved. Broly cocks his arm back, ball growing, and he throws his hand forward.
Bardock's hand catches Broly's throwing arm at the wrist. The ki ball fires off into the distance, exploding in the sky. Bardock now stands directly in front of Broly, staring directly into the massive Saiyan's whited out eyes. His movement was... instant.
Broly's eyes widen, not having seen Bardock move. He wrenches his hand back, a spark of ki freeing his hand from Bardock's grip.
The hulking man moves to punch the smaller Saiyan. Bardock back flips up, kicking Broly in the jaw. Broly stumbles back as Bardock lands a few feet away.
Broly snarls, lurching forward and throwing wide punches. Bardock, arms at his side, ducks the first swipe, leans out of the second, and sways back, the third missing by inches. Bardock flickers away as the fourth punch is thrown.
Broly whips his head around, looking for the man, only for Bardock's heel to smash into his jaw. Broly reels back as Bardock lands in front of him again. Broly throws a ki laced punch again. The smaller Saiyan uses his left arm to backhand the large fist up. He follows up with a jab into Broly's gut.
The strike sends Broly off the mountain top. He flips and recovers in the air, choking out the air from within him. He shakes himself off, facing Bardock again.
The Super Saiyan 3 stands on the broken mountain top, side facing Broly. His expression has yet to change.
The massive Saiyan roars out, firing a full powered ki blast. The beam closes in on Bardock, but the long haired man ducks back, dodging the beam. He spins with the dodge, bringing one arm up and firing his own beam at the hulking Saiyan.
The beam hits, launching the large man back and shredding his clothes. In an instant, Bardock appears above him, bringing both hands down on him. The large Saiyan is launched like a missile into the ground below.
The landing shatters the area, but green ki erupts out. Broly stumbles out, shaking his head. Far above him, Bardock floats, eyeing him. The unstable man's power continues to rise.
Bardock blitz's down at the beast. Broly's senses alert him as he dashes backward. Bardock strikes the spot he'd previously occupied. Broly throws both arms up, firing a beam.
This one connects, Bardock cross blocking it. The force launches him away, skidding to a halt on the ground. Bardock grunts as he charges forward again.
Broly meets the charge, the two clashing fists. The shockwave shakes the landscape. Bardock's eyes narrow for a second. His student's power is still rising unstably.
Bardock pushes forward, throwing Broly off balance. He dashes in, throwing two punches into the hulking man's gut, following up with a round house keep to the jaw. Broly recoils, but twists back around and lands his first punch into Bardock's jaw.
The strike bashes the Saiyan's head back. His feet dig into the ground, keeping him in place. Bardock's head snaps back, eyes glaring at Broly.
Golden ki laces around his fist as he throws an punch. The fist digs into Broly's gut. The large Saiyan sways, gasping for air. Bardock kicks out Broly's forward leg, dropping the large Saiyan to a kneeling position.
Broly roars out, throwing a defiant punch. Bardock catches the fist in his hand. His golden aura flares, his power overwhelming the larger man. Bardock pulls Broly's fist to the side, leaving him open.
Blue ki charges in the Super Saiyan 3's hand as he smashes it into Broly's face. Bardock plants Broly into the earth, firing his Tyrant Lancer in the process. Bardock mutters out. "Go to sleep."
The two disappear in an a blue explosion, the blast clearing the storm clouds above.
The light from the sun shines over Bardock as the winds calm, debris clearing. Under him, in a new crater, lays Broly. The legendary Saiyan's hair has returned to black. His muscles have shrunk, the man unresponsive.
Bardock's aura continues to spark with electricity, ki washed around him. His breathing is worn, but expression still stone cold. "Stay down for a while, Broly. That took more out of me then I expected."
At that moment, his senses alert him. He turns around, eyes locked on the target. The same direction he'd felt Gohan earlier...
"Oh wow, guess the animal wasn't a very good find." The smarmy wizard comments.
Bardock's wide eyes lock on the large, fat pink blob of a man, and the shriveled imp on his back. Bardock's eyes narrow, a scowl forming. "... And who are you?"

The storm clears. High winds whip through the landscape. Dust clouds wisp around two golden glowing spots in the land.
On one side stands the prince of all Saiyans, Vegeta. His outfit is shredded, blood trickling off his arms, the left side of his chest exposed through the ripped fabric. The Majin M still remains on his head, his spiked hair now falling back behind him. His brow is pronounced and hairless. He grins madly, lifting one fist up with lightning crackling off his aura. "Now, how about we end this, Kakarot?"
On the other side stands Goku. His hair is equal length, two bang spikes forward while the rest of his hair falls back behind him. His eye brows are gone as well. His orange shirt's right half is gone, clothes stained with blood as well. Lightning sparks around his aura as well. In a role reversal, Goku is the one scowling at the other. "Sure thing, Vegeta. This needs to end."
In an instant, the two fighters disappear in speed, the land bursting in a flash of golden light.
Super Saiyan 3 at last! So, Goku and Vegeta aren't ending any time soon... The morons. What about Shin? Gohan? We'll come back to that.
