Optimus headed into his quarters where Mirage was with the sparklings and all the other minibots that guarded Mirage. All seemed to be caught off guard to see Optimus enter with Bee by his side. "What's going on? Where is Ironhide?" Mirage asked, worried about what this all meant.
"Please, calm yourself, Mirage. Optimus brings us all very good news" Bee stepped up to say, hoping to ease the tension. Mirage looked to his mate.
"Bumblebee speaks the truth. I do bring good news. The war is finally over, as I was finally able to destroy Megatron. Cybertron shall be free from his tyranny" Optimus revealed. Mirage figured out that Hide was likely guarding the door.
Mirage took a minute to process what his mate had said – the war was over. Once Mirage could wrap his processor around that, he smiled. "So our precious little ones will never know war. That is good news, my love. But what of all the Kingdoms that Cybertron was divided into. Will we be free just to go back to that?" Mirage asked, as he never was a fan of the feudal Cybertron. The minibots were curious as well.
Optimus sighed before he answered. "I have not yet made my announcement to all the Autobots, but I want Cybretron to be a free society. I may be Prime, but I don't have to be a King. I want Cybertron to have free elections so that they can choose their leaders. Only the rank of Prime will be chosen solely by Primus. The other bots helping the Prime to run Cybertron will be elected by the populace" Optimus stated.
Mirage smiled. "That sounds wonderful to me" Mirage stated, though he was worried about the minibots who guarded him and advised him.
"Where you go, Mirage, we go" Bee stated, pulling his family towards him. Jumper nodded, holding two of the three deems they had while Bee held one.
"We go with you as well" Charger and his mate stated, their children also with them.
Mirage was amazed and it showed. "Thank you, my friends" Mirage said.
The came something even more amazing to Mirage. "Where you go, we three will go as well" Sidewinder uttered, speaking for the three young single minibots.
"But you are free" Mirage stated to the three.
"We choose to remain as no one has ever been as kind to us as you have" Red Tide stared and the other two agreed.
"I guess all that is left is to make the announcement" Mirage stated, looking to his mate.
Optimus nodded. "I will do so, once I am able to have a few quiet moments with my family" Optimus stated. The minibots started to leave, not realizing Optimus meant them too. "No, my friends, you don't have to leave. We are all a family" Optimus revealed. The minibots smiled, even more happy about being accepted. Optimus spent time with all of the bots close to him and his mate for it would soon be time to make his announcement.
