Hello everyone! Glad to see you all enjoy the last chapter. Now it is time to end the White Fang Arc! Whooooo! Been awhile since I have done the arc, but now I am happy to say that it is over! And just to let everyone know, the winner of the challenge of the last chapter is fanficcyberman! I already talked to them and I will be working on their one-shot. Congrats.
Also, I saw one review in regard to the Pink Dust, so let me clarify it. Yes, the Pink Dust can make a person…active and allow the female to be able to have a child regardless of her condition, it will only make her fertile one time. So if Sienna wants to have another child, she would need to Pink Dust again for her to get pregnant.
Also, unlike the last chapter, this will be a very shot chapter. Sorry guys.
Anyways, let us begin!
Chapter 54
"And that is my story so far," Alduin said as he finished telling his story to Blackheart.
After hearing Alduin's story, it kind of surprised Blackheart that Alduin, of all beings, was able to find peace on Remnant. It was still hard for Blackheart that Alduin, his sworn enemy and a threat to all of Tamriel, managed to coexist with the Faunus living here. The old him would have just either wiped them all out or make them all submit under his rule. Although, he had his own Dust Company, so it would make since that people would turn to him to provide them with Dust.
"I…" Blackheart managed to say, "Sorry, still processing all of this."
"Take your time," Alduin said, "Even to this day I am having trouble believing this is all real."
Blackheart then said "It's just…when I was brought here, I didn't expect to meet anyone from my old life. So, you understand why I reacted the way I did when I first saw you."
"Why are you here?" Alduin asked, "Shouldn't your soul have been sent to Sovngarde?"
"Originally yes," Blackheart said, "But that damn Sheogorath sent me here to, and quote, 'Eliminate a Great Evil' as he puts it."
Alduin raised an eyebrow and asked "So…you believe this Great Evil is me?"
Blackheart thought for a moment before shaking his head and said "No…like you said…you were brought here 90 years ago…I was brought here 10 years ago. If you were the 'Great Evil' I'm supposed to kill, then you would have destroyed this world a long time ago. No…his message was vague, I think there is something else at work here."
"I can understand that," Alduin said, "Since I learned how to use my powers, I can sense something off about this world, and I am not talking about the mortals, Grimm or the Dust."
Shocked, Blackheart looked up at him and asked "What do you mean?"
Alduin replied "While this world is different from our own, I can still sense magic somewhere out there."
That got Blackheart's attention and shouted "That's impossible! Sheogorath told me that there was no magic in this world! He said that I had to follow the rules of this world and replaced my magic with the Sigil Stone!"
Alduin huffed and said "And you believed the word of a Daedric Lord?"
Blackheart stood there in silence until he said "Yeah…good point."
"Besides," Alduin said, "If anything, I am guessing they were testing their limits."
"Limits?" Blackheart asked.
"Think about it," Alduin said, "The Daedric Lords cannot enter Nirn and rule Tamriel because of the Divines. However, what if they are able to rule other worlds with no god or gods present?"
Blackheart realized this and asked "So me being here was just a form of test to see if they can enter another world without interference?"
"Well, I was brought to this world as a form of punishment," Alduin said, "Though ever since, I haven't felt or sensed any other outside presence trying to interfere with this world."
Blackheart then said "Then that means that the Daedric Lords aren't interested in this one. But why?"
"Which brings us to my original point," Alduin said, "There is still magic in this land. It is faint, but I can sense it. It is different from our world, but it's magic no less."
"Can you be able to tell me where it is coming from?" Blackheart asked.
Alduin shook his head and replied "No, it's faint and far away. I would be able to track it if I can get off Menagerie, but I just ignore it."
"So there is magic in this world," Blackheart said, "Well that complicate some things."
"I wouldn't know on your end," Alduin said before laughing, "It's strange: I am a being of Destruction and was brought here by a Divine while you are a symbol of Hope and as brought here by a Daedric Lord. What a twist in fate."
The two remained silent for a bit before Alduin turned to him and asked "My spies have told me about the attack on Vale and Beacon. Know anything about that?"
Blackheart sighed and said "As you know, the White Fang attacked Vale and unleashed a horde of Grimm into the city. We managed to eliminate some of the threat, but the White Fang got away with my friends."
Alduin growled and said "Leonidas is a fool, but for him to orchestrate this kind of attack? I highly doubt it. No, he must have had some form of help."
"He did," Blackheart said, "Me and my team found out that he was working for a third party, which was led by a human woman named Elsa."
"A human?" Alduin asked, "He would never stoop low to work with a human."
"Well he did in this case," Blackheart said, "I don't know why Elsa and her gang wanted to destroy Vale, but they failed regardless, so that is a win in my book. Atlas already got four of them, so maybe they will spill some secrets."
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. When Alduin and Blackheart turned around, they saw Sienna opening the door. She then said "Dear, you remember where Tali's blanket is?"
Alduin replied "I believe it is with the dry clothes."
"Thank you, dear," Sienna said as she closed the door.
Once she left, Blackheart turned to Alduin and said "You really embraced the whole dad routine."
Alduin sighed and said "Yes…though sometimes I feel like I don't deserve all of this."
"Normally, the old me would have said so," Blackheart said, "But…I now see that you have changed…so much if I have to say. While it's true that I cannot forget your actions in the past and what you have done, I would call myself a hypocrite if I just kill you because of that. In a way, you are like Paarthurnax, you made peace with mortals."
Alduin huffed and said "I suppose so. I…tolerate them to the extent."
Blackheart laughed and said "Of course you would."
Alduin then looked at Blackheart and asked "What you plan to do now?"
Blackheart thought about it and replied "Well, Beacon is undergoing repairs, but a lot of the students are heading to the other Huntsmen Academies to continue their education. Once me and the others head back, I guess we will have to help with the repairs while also dealing with the Grimm that are still present. I'm sure the professors will let us stay while the repairs are underway."
"And their families and yours?" Alduin asked.
Blackheart replied "I'm sure my family will allow me and my sisters to help out. As for the others, I don't know. I know some of them don't have families and have nowhere else to go."
"And what of this Elsa?" Alduin asked.
Blackheart sighed and said "Not much I can do at the moment. Ever since the attack, they just vanished. They could be anywhere."
"Well," Alduin said, "The next boat leaving Menagerie won't be for another few days. So, if you want, stay here until that happens."
"I think that's a good idea," Blackheart said, "My mom would love to spend some time with Tali along with my sisters."
"You sure are taking your new family very well, Dovahkiin," Alduin said.
"Yeah, well when you are given a second chance at a new life, might as well go along with it," Blackheart said, "Plus, I care about them."
"Then I suggest you go get some rest," Alduin said, "Because you will need it in the coming days."
Blackheart sighed as he left the study and made his way to the room where he will be staying at while he and the others were staying at Menagerie. Falling onto his bed, Blackheart closed his eyes and fell asleep.
Five days later…
The day arrived when everyone was ready to leave Kuo Kuana and head back to Vale. During those five days, everyone was enjoying themselves as they experienced what Kuo Kuana had to offer to them: from the fine cuisine, to the relaxing spa, and even spending time with Blake's family and Blackheart's newfound family. Summer, Ruby and Yang were enjoying spending their time with Sienna and Tali as Taiyang just admired at them from afar. There were people like Arthur and Weiss who decided to spend their time together as they would go and enjoy each other's company. However, for Blake and Riku, the poor boy had to endure Ghira's 'questioning' about his intention to Blake while Kali was asking embarrassing questions about the two of them, which caused Blake to blush in embarrassment.
While everyone was enjoying their mini-vacation, they were informed that the council had elected a new High Leader for the White Fang, and they elected Sienna Khan. Everyone congratulated her and she promised to reform the White Fang back to what it once was before Leonidas corrupted it.
It was around that time when they learned something else about Alduin. It happened when a mother rushed up to him and begged him to 'heal' her child. As Alduin followed the worried mother, the group was intrigued and followed him. Once they arrived at the mother's home and saw the child, they were saddened to see the child lying on his bed as his skin was pale and was breathing slowly. It turned out that the child had a deadly lung disease that was practically incurable and the mother did everything she could to save him, but nothing worked. As Alduin leaned towards the child and everyone closely watched, they saw Alduin's body glow gold and was transferring the golden aura into the boy. Once he was done, everyone looked and saw the boy quickly feeling better. Everyone was astonished to see the boy fully healed as the mother cried as she thanked Alduin and rushed to her son.
Everyone was amazed at what he could do until Ruby had an idea. She asked him if he can heal two of her friends, everyone knew she was talking about Pyrrha and Mercury. When Ruby told Alduin of their condition, he told her that he could possibly repair the damage done on Pyrrha, but he cannot help Mercury since he wasn't able to regrow limbs with his powers. As Ruby felt sad that Mercury cannot be helped, she was relieved that Pyrrha can be helped. Once they make it back to Beacon, they will tell her the good news…among other stuff they will have to explain.
"No!" Summer cried as she was being pulled back by Taiyang, "I want to keep spending time with my granddaughter!"
"Summer!" Taiyang cried as he was holding his wife back, "You can see her as much as you want know that you know she lives here!"
"I know!" Summer cried, "But five days isn't enough!"
Sienna, as Tali was standing beside her, said "If it makes you feel better, we will make sure to visit you all in Patch. Though SOMEONE might not be able to go."
When Sienna said that, Alduin merely huffed at her as she laughed. Summer then said "You BETTER! I wanna see my granddaughter!"
As Summer made kissing noises at Tali, the little Dragon Faunus laughed. Ruby and Yang then kneeled down at Tali and Ruby said "Don't worry, Tali! You will see your wonderful aunts soon!"
"Yeah!" Yang cheered, "You are going to love Patch!"
Behind then, Blackheart was standing there with his arms crossed and said "And what of her uncle?"
Both his sisters waved their hands at him as Yang said "Eh, you can be like Uncle Qrow."
"I don't know whether that was an insult or not," Blackheart said.
While everyone was saying their goodbyes, Alduin walked up to Blackheart and asked "What will you do now?"
Blackheart replied "Head back home, help with the damages and hopefully resume attending Beacon."
"Then I wish the best of luck to you, brother," Alduin said.
"Um…yeah, you too, brother," Blackheart said.
Once everyone said their goodbyes, they all got onto the boat and it set sail back to Vale. Team AVGR, the now completed Team RWBY, Summer, Taiyang, Blackheart and Cinder were all setting in as they were enjoying the boat ride back home.
Well, almost everyone.
"Ugh," Blackheart whined as he sat on a bench, "Why does this have to happen to me?"
Cinder say next to him, rubbed his right arm and said "Don't worry, just relax and don't mind the ride."
As Blackheart relaxes a bit, Cinder looked at him and said "So…not the turn of events we expected. Sure, we saved Blake and Weiss…but for Alduin to be here and having his own family?"
"I know," Blackheart said "Even that surprised me too. But…he's happy. Also, he can't leave Menagerie, so even if he wants to leave, he can't. But so long as he has his friends, family and people who count on him, he won't be alone."
Cinder smiled at him and said "I'm happy that you accept his life now."
"I…tolerate it," Blackheart said, "But…once we get back, we have real work to do."
When Blackheart said that, Cinder nodded as she remembered her original mission: Find the people responsible for the attack on Vale…and her mentor's death. But first, she would have to go check on Mercury and Emerald and find out Mercury's condition. She wouldn't be surprised if she receives a call from her parents demanding them to return home on Argus. But all of that will have to wait when she returns home.
For once, ever since the Fall of Beacon, things were going their way.
"Please! You are the only one who I can trust!"
Inside a secluded area, a large figure was at a workstation fixing something. The figure then said "I am surprise that you aren't going to the general with this, doctor."
"Ironwood is too busy with all the whiplash from the Vytal Festival, he doesn't have the men or resources to find my daughter! *cough* *cough*
"Don't worry, doctor," the figure said as he finished working on whatever her was fixing, "I'll find your robo-daughter and bring her back to you. I…do kinda owe you one for helping me."
"Please Magnus, bring my baby girl back safely."
The view changed as a familiar dome-glass helmet with a red painting of a skull on it comes into view. The figure grabbed it as they put it on, revealing the figure to be none other than Magnus Nikos. Once his helmet was on, Magnus said "Don't worry, doctor. The Crimson Menace is at your service."
And that is all! I hope you guys like the Magnus cameo at the end, because now it is time for The Android Arc! I am excited for this one and I planned to this this when Volume 3 and 4 started but…well, you know, little late for that now. But anyways, thank you all for reading and see you all next time. Until then, please review!
