Bella Arc

No, No, No, she can't be gone.

The only person that treated her openly, and honestly. She was kind, yet direct. She never lied to her except for her name.

Sometimes kindness has its own magic.

That mudblood witch ruined her in the most wonderous way. She was kind, she gave her kindness, and in those moments when she was deranged, teetering on the cliff, her toes curling the lip of the ravine as she felt herself give in many times, closing her eyes stretching out her arms… she was pulled back by those words. By those hands that wanted to help her, heal her. She wished for the love the mudblood gave her sister. She saw it in the forest that night when she told them of the soul piece in her belly. The looks, the touches.

It was the fire in those hazel eyes that drew Bella even more to the witch. When she let her magic swirl just below the surface in that cell when Cissy and the witch came to her. It was as if she could never imagine what that tiny woman could do to her. She feared the mudblood, and the only other fear she carried for another being was the Dark Lord.

When they shared blood, when Hermione plunged a dagger into their arms, mingling their blood, mixing magic, and then Hermione rendering the dark mark useless, she knew she was more. She knew she took that precious woman and ripped her to pieces. She often thought back to the room, to the screamed spells at Hermione, pinning her down, deriving a sick pleasure as she carved her status in her arm. If they had not escaped, she honestly did not know what she would have done to the witch. Would she have taken her, ripped from her throat screams of pain as she delved into her body implementing a piece of her into Hermione's mind, no matter if it was terror based, she would have been there?

Now the witch was gone. Her little witch. Her heart clenched and felt as if there was a quarter of it missing. Fleur wrapped her arms around her lover, and Bella fell into the woman's side. She caressed that dark mark. It would never fade, but it felt different. She often spoke to Fleur about it, and Fleur and Bella did some research. As their research led them further and further down the rabbit hole of curses, blood curses, and reversals, a lot of their books led to some rather fascinating… issues.

Bella's thoughts had always gone back to when Hermione held their impaled arms together, magic flaring around the room, and flowing free from the woman. But it was the words Hermione said as they bled together.

You are Narcissa's, Fleur's, and now mine, Bellatrix.

Fleur knew their bond was stronger than anything, but she was also devouring books on such an oath said during those circumstances.

"Fleur," Bella said as she stroked her mark, "I can't feel her," Bella mumbled. Fleur looked down, then to the mark, and saw the colors, Black, Blue and Red. All three made a vibrant piece of a shifting tattoo. But the red, was slowly dulling. Fleur looked into Bella's eyes, black as the night, but now, with the soul piece gone, her heart returned to her, and the Dark Lord gone, those deep pools of black shone with something she had not seen before. Hope. It was an inky black sad hope. Hope for their future, sad for their loss.

"I don't think she is gone," Fleur whispered into Bella's ear as they both turned their gaze down to the colors on Bella's porcelain skin, "The red is not gone, just fading. Also…" Fleur looked up as she heard rubble. But her eyes flew down to Bella's hands.

"They won't stop shaking," Bella sounded small, like a little girl awing at a broken finger, yet feeling no pain. Then tremors wrecked through her body, uncontrollable, and for a moment Bella thought she was hit was a Crucio.

"I can't st—stopp shakking," Bella whimpered, "Fleur…?" the lost questions, the confusion laced with fear hit Fleurs heartstrings. Bella said her lovers name over and over like a prayer to the gods, like a vagabond seeking answers to the simple word why.

"Shock, mon amour," Fleur gripped Bella too her, rubbed her palms furiously over her biceps and upper chest trying to get heat circulating into Bella. Fleur grabbed tightly to the blanket, and stood, wrapping the woman up in the cloth then placed a warming charm on the fabric. Bella objected to the loss of her mate, but Fleur's eyes never left hers. Bella focused on those blue eyes, fell into them, breathed in and out, and found a plateau. She did not stop shivering, but she didn't feel like she was being sucked down in into the quicksand of emotions over taking her. Rubble was kicked again, Bella's eyes snapped out of Fleur's trance. Fleur's gaze followed her witch's.

Narcissa. Oh, her Cissy. She must have finished helping those in the castle. They found Poppy's body beneath large stones on top of a body. She died the way she lived. Everyone shall receive help in her infirmary, no matter your house, no matter your blood purity, class or arrogance. She tried to block the body of a dark robed death eater. The way her body had been smashed, and her wand drawn could only attest to the fact that she tried to save everyone. That and everyone spoke of her kindness even in the face of war. Madam Poppy Pomfrey was a hero.

Bella watched as her sister stumbled to the opening in the castle wall not caring she looked like hell, not caring that everyone who loved her survived, well, except for… Bella went to stand, but Fleur held her arm and nodded. Narcissa didn't even seem to notice the figure of a distraught Professor Snape following her, then from further across the room Draco, shiny and clean due to saving the children that made an alliance with him.

"Fleur, she is my blood, my sister, I have to go and help her," Bella made to stand once more but a voice she had not heard in decades froze her.

"Bellatrix," the voice only seemed to growl as footsteps could be heard coming closer. Bella jumped as a harsh hand found her shoulder, "You will leave her be for the moment," the voice demanded.

"An…" Bella was cut off.

"I am here for Narcissa and Hermione," Andromeda looked after Narcissa, Severus, and Draco then sighed and bowed her head, "I see I will be needed, but I think I need to know what has happened. Dan needs to be informed," Andromeda with a flare of gorgeous, seamless magic, magic that left Bella speechless in is fluidity conjured a bolder into a comfortable armchair, "I will start with you, What do you know… Bells?" Andy asked, but a small devious part of her hip hip hurray-ed, when she saw the disgusted look cross Bella's eyes as Bella heard Andromeda call her that dreadful name.

"The Little Witch," Bella licked her lips, they were suddenly dry looking at Andromeda. She rubbed her hands together, part of the blanket falling off her shoulder, "She had disappeared," Bella swallowed and looked down at her hands. Andromeda's gaze piercing into her heart held too much weight on her heart.

"Explain in more detail please," Andromeda demanded sharply, but kept the bite out of her voice. Bella could not answer but rubbed the mark on her arm.

"Lamenting the loss of your Dark Lord?" Andromeda sneered at Bella. Bella's eyes flew up, pierced Andromeda's.

"He was no longer my Dark Lord, you bitch," Bella growled as she began to stand holding her ground. She took enough from her sister. She knew she was wrong when she did the same torture on Andy that she had Hermione, but she would not take it anymore. Fleur pulled back on Bella's arms.

"Let it go Bella, she does not know, not understand what has transpired," Fleur tried to pull her lover from her sister, but Bella would not budge, "My love, Mon amore. No, she doesn't know," Fleur said softly. It was strange. Usually people yelled to be heard, but when it came to Bella and Fleur, the softer Fleur's voice, the more Bella listened. Bella stood straighter, less defensively, closed her eyes, and lifted her hand to pinch the place between her eyes. Andromeda's hands, almost as fast if not as fast as Bella's flashed out. She caught Bella's arms, moved the sleeve back. She looked long and hard at the mark. Bella trembled when Andromeda slid her fingers over the old tattoo. Then Andromeda tilted her head.

"Its not the same," Andromeda whispered then looked between Fleur, and Bella, "Please do not tell me you are in love with the woman that tortured you then you forgave and took out the power of the dark mark?" Andromeda sneered at them disgustedly.

"No, but she is my mate," Fleur gritted as she stood side by side with Bella. She was beginning to greatly dislike this woman.

"Mate?" Andromeda tilted her head again and narrowed her eyes, "Magical beast?" she looked her over and clucked her tongue, "A Veela?"

"So, what of it? You Pureblood goat!" Fleur asked placing her hands on her hips. Bella chuckled and took her hand.

"What is it with you and farm animals?" Bella asked lovingly. Fleur smiled softly and shrugged, then turned back to Andromeda. Andromeda stuck out her hand. Fleur looked at it then to the witch's face, gone was the disdain, the sneer. It was replaced with genuine wonder, and acceptance.

"Call me Andy. Are you by any chance Fleur?" the witch asked. Fleur was thrown.

"Yes," but she could not continue.

"Narcissa and Hermione have said interesting and wonderful things about you. I am so happy you broke the curse on that ring," Andy took her hand and pulled the woman with her looping their arms as if they were old friends. Bella stayed back mouth gaping like a fish out of water.

"Come Bells, or I will seduce your beloved, and then where will be? Keep up, tut tut," Andromeda walked with Fleur took her out the same hole as Narcissa, Severus, and Draco walked out of. She took them on a Stoll, told them their versions of their two lovebirds. When they reached a hill that looked out over the long path to the Forbidden Forest then watched as the sun began to dip, and Narcissa stumbled past the outer trees of the forest. She shook her head and hoped Draco and Severus knew to leave her alone. They stayed there watching the sunset, then Magic unleashed in the forest. Magic so strong it seemed like the forest woke at the sheer raw, uncontained power radiating from the western part of the forest. Soon Draco, and Severus came out of the forest dazed. They came back toward the castle as if they witnessed hell unleashed upon the land. When they walked by, they shook, but Draco hugged Andy, and Fleur. He paused at Bella.

"I am Draco Malfoy Black, your nephew," he said in greeting with a slight bow as a pureblood would introduce themselves in society. Bella lunged, and brought him to her, embraced him. Something thrummed off him. She held him away from her.

"I knew your… Hermione. She saved me," Bella confessed proudly. Draco patted her hand looked her in the eyes.

"She saved me too, many times," then looked to Fleur and Andy, "I need to find Harry."

"Harry Potter?" Bella asked, Draco seized up, narrowed his eyes.

"He was last with the injured helping them as best as he could. He helped me too," Bella said as she watched her nephew nod.

"I glad he could help you," Draco said as he walked quickly after Snape, and once to the mans side, they sped together.

"You are changed," Andromeda commented, then looked between Fleur, and Bella she closed her eyes, then looked to the dipping sunset, "You tortured Hermione, didn't you?"

Bella flinched as if she was slapped but she nodded.

"She forgave you, and completed the ritual to break the link from the dark mark, didn't she?"

Bella swallowed, held her shoulders high and her hand loosely to her sides. Then she reached for her wands. Fleur moved closer to her lover just in case.

"Take these wands. These wands flew to me, chose me, and saved me. I understand your love for the Little Witch," Bella swallowed her mouth suddenly dry. "For Hermione," then looked to Fleur, "I love the Little Witch, I curse myself daily for what I did, but could not be more indebted to her for what she has done to me. She did so much more than take a mark from me, eliminate a connection to the Dark Lord," Bella looked into Andromeda's eyes, "She was kind to me, and that to me, was the strongest magic."

Andromeda looked at her sister's hand holding her wands. She took them. Bella sighed, then looked toward the ground feeling naked without them. Then Andy took her finger tilted her sisters chin up to see in her eyes. So much alike there were, it was astonishing that they were not the same woman.

"Black's do not bow their head to anyone. Black's are proud, poised, and passionate. They carry themselves with the pride of their love, loyalty, and honor. Help Narcissa change the motto of our family to mean more than our blood," Andromeda gave the wands to Fleur, "Help her to change the motto to mean the purity in our heart, the purity in our loyalty, and above all the purity of our love. Be with your Veela, Bella. If you fuck this up, I will hunt you down and kill you," Andromeda gave the wands to Fleur then turned from the two women and walked to find a certain potions master.

"She is intense," Fleur whispered as she watched Andy walked away. She felt liberated, backed up and protected. It was intoxicating.

"She wasn't lying," Bella said as she swallowed then turned to Fleur, "She will kill me if I mess this up, she is protected by Black Magic, " Bella chuckled hollowly yet happily, Narcissa must have given it back to her," Bella smirked as she told of the magic behind the threat. Fleur gave Bella her wands back, but Bella shook her head. "Not for a few nights love. I'm not sure why but I think I need to be separated from them for a moment. We have had too much war, too much killing. We need to recharge," Bella said and looked down to the wands and smiled.

Fleur nodded and placed the wands in her belt for safe keeping. She would not let Bella be without her wands ever, she was a targeted woman, but she would respect her wish to heal.

"Hermione is not dead," Fleur deadpanned as they watched part of the forest illuminate with the errant spells a fierce woman fired off in the twilight of the evening.

"How do you know?" Bella asked as she furrowed her brow as they sat on the hill looking out to the trees.

"Narcissa is alive," Fleur stated. Bella sighed. A weight lifted.

Bella and Fleur

"Fleur," Bella whispered wondering in her lover was asleep. They took the other for the first time in weeks, but it was only the fourth night after the bombardment of the castle. The fourth night of Narcissa going into the woods.

"Yes, love," Fleur croaked from beneath her. Fleur loved playing with Belle's hair. Gods it was so soft, and luscious. Fleur loved every part of her lover, but the feel of Bella's hair splayed over her stomach as Bella lay on her lower abdomen after bringing her crashing highs with just her mouth… she shudders ever slightly as Bella's hair tickles her hip bones. Bella chuckles and crawls up the bed and lay next to Fleur propping her head up on her hand so she can look down on Fleur with a lazy smile.

"Do you want kids?" Bella asked. Fleur blinked and pushed Bella away, hurt flashed over Bella's eyes. Fleur reached out before Bella and dash from their bed.

"Don't go," Fleur demanded, and Bella stayed right where she was. Fleur took a deep breath and thought of her conversation with Narcissa. She will have to give Bella choices. She closed her eyes. But Bella reached out and took her hand and sat like a young woman cross legged on the bed.

"I'm sorry, I'm getting used to choices. I want to know you, remember, that has not and will not ever change, but there is something missing…" Bella lifts her hand once more to her dark mark. Fleur grasps her hand.

"The dark Lord?" Fleur asked.

"No, actually. Its Hermione. The mark is shifting, I can feel it. But something is happening see," Bella thrust out her arm. Fleur took it. The Blue was herself, she knew that. It represented her eyes. The Black was the house of Black and represented Narcissa. Those two were as bold as a marker on white paper, but the red. Fleur blinked. The red was pale, almost pink the night Narcissa began her nightly excursions. But it was rising, like a line under the skin, and growing pinker, but not red, gaining color. Fleur looked up.

"I don't know what it means, but red has always been Hermione's color. I don't know why, maybe it is the courage to take on her love for Narcissa, or the courage to take my mark away, but red has always been Little Witch's color," Bella took a breath then looked at Fleur, "I want to go to Narcissa. I want to help her, but I don't know how. Can you help me?" Bella pleaded. It has been a constant topic between the two, but the way Bella spoke of Hermione, and Narcissa, especially Hermione it was almost obsessive. Not creepy, just a problem that tugged on Bella, and something else Fleur thinks happened, but it wasn't confirmed.

"Bella, I think we need to go to Scrollblade," Fleur said before she agreed to help Bella with Narcissa.

"Ok, but why? Is this about the child question? I'm sorry…" Bella didn't finish. A Finger placed over her lips.

"Children are certainly on the table my love," Fleur smiled, and Bella seemed to light up, but the finger has not been removed from her lips. Bella sensed a but in Fleur's statement.

"But," Fleur said and Bella silently cheered at how well she knew her lover, "I require a few things I hope you are willing to give me," Fleur took her finger away and pulled her knees up to her chest suddenly shy, "Bella, Veela tradition does not require us to be married to procreate. Our children will be given to us by a magical bond, when our bond is at it strongest. We are not quite there yet my love. That is no fault to anyone. There are too many things going on to consider if we really want children. Right this very moment, do I want to forge that bond with you, no," Fleur watched as Bella deflated.

"Bella, we need to get our lives on track. We have paths we need to walk, and support to give to our loved ones that require our time. I cannot in good conscious have a child, and take away from those in pain right this moment. Please understand," Fleur pleaded.

"Like Cissy finding Hermione?" Bella asked. Fleur sighed.

"Partly, but we need to be there for those who might not find their lover. Don't get me wrong I know mi lionne is alive, but we need to help mend hearts as well as mend society, and ourselves. Bella, we need to fix us too. You are a pureblood supremist in love with a magical creature no matter how diluted my blood is. We need to find us. Which leads me to Narcissa and Hermione. I want to know more about your mark and what is happening with it before we have a girl of our own," Fleur said hoping the gentle approach was best.

"A girl?" Bella whispered, then looked at her belly, then Fleur's. It was a long silence. Then Bella let tears fall. Fleur sat in a fair amount of shock.

"I don't want our daughter anywhere near where that shard was. Can you carry our children? I don't want them tainted," Bella asked firmly, resolute. It was the most decisive she had been since the nights she used to threaten to take her before the bond was forged. Fleur swallowed. Holy hell that was a turn on and a half, but she shook herself.

"I would be honored," Fleur smiled at Bella. She understood the reason, and honestly, she didn't want any residue, no mater how minute or untraceable from that horcrux to be near their child.

"You said there would be requirements. Please continue. We need to take time to fix out shit. Gotcha," Bella said crassly, and Fleur rolled her eyes but smiled.

"But according to wizarding society I would like to be married," Fleur said.

"Wait, so its ok to not be married to get a kid but you still want to be married?"" Bella said figuring it out, then shrugged, "No problem," was all Bella said. Fleur looked at the dark witch that seemed to bubble beneath the surface. She waited. Half of her wanted the woman to propose, and half of herself wanted to propose, then another half didn't want that right then. They were trying to figure out their bond as it was. No more stress.

"One more requirement," Fleur said and this time she nibbled on her lower lip. Bella scooted closer. She could tell the subject was difficult for Fleur, "I want to figure out your obsession with Narcissa, and Hermione," Fleur said softly and Fleur reached out to Bella's arm as the dark witch tensed, "I think it has to do with this. Can you do that for me? Can we go to Scrollblade and have the goblins decipher your mark?"

Fleur held her breath. She watched as Bella's expressions slipped and flashed so fast, she couldn't read them. Then Bella settled on one. Love.

"Yes, but I have requirements too," Bella said and Fleur was thrown form a loop.

"Y-Yes of course," she stuttered. Bella nodded and sat up straight.

"We will be married. No matter the pureblood supremist I may be I want to be married before I have a child. I will not have a wizarding society bastard," Bella said strongly almost fiercely. Fleur nodded.

"Also, I think you are correct we need to figure this mark out. Why is it shifting and what the fuck is going on with the colors?" Bella paused and took a breath, "I have a theory though and I think you might have the same one. If you would hear me out?" Bella asked and Fleur nodded.

"When Hermione 'forgave me' when in all actuality with that stunt, and the words she spoke to me, I think she bonded the four of us together," Bella watched Fleur's eyes drift.

"All four?" Fleur asked surprised, but then she looked to Bella. She saw her lover, she saw her everything, but part of her heart was Narcissa's and then of course her little lion's, Hermione's. "How?"

"Ok," Bella said excited and shuffled excitedly, "I was bonded to Narcissa through blood," Bella reiterated events Fleur nodded, "then I was an invasive tradition moron, and bonded us, I'm still kind of sorry, but most of me is not," Bella said with a cheeky grin that Fleur narrowed her eyes, lightly smacked her arm playfully and chuckled, "and then there is Hermione," Bella watched Fleur, "She took the dark mark, bled us until the ooze was gone, and then spoke to me You are Narcissa's, Fleur's and now Mine," Bella told Fleur the events as she saw it minus the fuck loads of pain. Fleur nodded.

"I remember the magic, the bleeding. I also remember what she said. Do you think she accidentally made a new curse over you?" Fleur asked looking at Bella's arm.

"No, I think she accidentally made a new mark," Bella said. Fleur snatched her arm and Bella eeped at the sudden invasion.

"Then why had it not changed?" Fleur asked as the tattoo seemed to change every time you looked at it but not when it was watched.

"She didn't have a crest," Bella said simply. Fleur's head flew up, "Also its your bond, Narcissa's House blood and then Hermione's Blood that bonded you. You must all agree on a crest for it to take effect. Until then…" Bella didn't finish.

"Until then you are in limbo," Fleur said realized the cavernous distance her lover has to reach peace. Fleur pulled the woman to herself. It didn't last long as a coin that blazed bright. Bella reached over.

"Harry said Narcissa is on her way again. I wanted to know if you would like to go and take care of our other bond mate," Bella asked. Fleur thought the statement over. Yes, it was true, they were all bond mates over Bella. She felt Bella's tug to help her sister.

"Alright my love, Hermione told me once in second year she took Polyjuice potion and transformed into a cat. She was escorted to Black Hall to find a cure, but she and Narcissa had issues with that. Before you go that far, get your mind out of the gutter, she was Draco's best friend, but he was possessed by a diary. Treated her badly. Narcissa took both children to Black Hall to look after them. Hermione told me Narcissa warded Draco's' room, and was supervised during visits, it bad. But it wasn't until the night when a white wolf would curl around her, let her pet her, stroke her ears and let her talk to the wolf, that she found comfort."

"Cissy," Bella gasped. Fleur only nodded. Bella nodded and jumped from the bed and held out her hand, "If we cant fix ourselves this very instance, I believe that helping Cissy is the first person to help," Bella said with a plan and Fleur grasped a hand and they began to put clothes on.

"Why?" Fleur asked as she gathered their wands. She still had not given Bella her wands back. Every time, Bella raised her hand and denied accepting her friends. She knew they were her friends. Fleur even caught the dark witch talking to the wands from time to time.

"She has a direct link to Scrollblade, and if anyone in the Goblin Nation can help us its Narcissa," Bella rambled out. Fleur only nodded and then when Bella turned to their portal, she stopped the woman. Bella turned and Fleur gave her the wands Andy bestowed upon her that sunsets days ago.

"You will need these to shift," Fleur said, and Bella nodded.

Weeks

Bella and Fleur watched over Narcissa. Bella would always come back to their room. Sadness does not seem to be the right word for her despair. Everything Narcissa shared to the black wolf weighed heavily on the dark witch. One-night Fleur asked her not to go.

"No, my love. It is a burden I feel I need to carry," Bella said as she changed clothes for bed.

"Why?! Its not your lost wife!" Fleur grew exasperated with Narcissa and her hollowed out existence. Her next visitor would be her and not Bellatrix if she didn't watch out.

"I was a killer, my love. Any way to relieve a burden, especially that of my own sister would be welcome," Bella countered.

"No, this is ludicrous! Have you not paid attention to yourself?" Fleur argued, and then a Patronus flew through their window.

Narcissa has collapsed.

Fleur was the first to get clothes on, and Bella looked at her with a well-manicured black eyebrow lifted toward her hair line.

"What? I love the English Sow too," Fleur said as she walked to the portrait, but Bella pulled her back.

"Burdens my love. I need to tell you something I'm sure is true, but I like information before going into battle," Bella said.

"It's the infirmary for our friend. It isn't battle," Fleur argued crossing her arms over her chest.

"Life is battle my astute lover, and Narcissa smells different," Bella said as she slipped into the discarded clothes she just crawled out of. She felt her skin creep at wearing re-worn clothes, but no use getting new ones dirty. A quick scourgify, and yeah they were clean, but not CLEAN. She sighed and then found Fleur looking at her.

"Explain Bellatrix Black," Fleur gritted.

"She is a mix of the Little Witch and Herself," Bella said worried about Narcissa, "I don't think she knows Fleur. You are smart, you can figure it out, but she…"

"She doesn't know. I understand. Let's go," Fleur basically ran them to the infirmary.

When Bella and Fleur saw the blue of Narcissa's eyes they took a deep breath. Bella loved her sister. She heard her thanks. But for some reason she felt she couldn't more any closer. Bella looked to Fleur and Fleur nodded. It was her turn to watch over the woman.

Everyone was removed, but Fleur Delacour was not a Triwizard Champion for nothing. She waited. She concealed herself. She knew the witch was asleep. She used the same spell that Narcissa taught her in that cabin. She saw the read out. She saw the child stated in glaring details. Well Holy Shit.

She cloaked herself, she watched the woman she could have forced herself to love once. Forced is such a fierce word. No, she could have let herself love Narcissa.

YUP. It crossed her mind many times before the arrival of Bellatrix that she could love both Narcissa and Hermione. She thought to Bella's theory from a few nights ago. Their bond was nothing more than a manifestation of the sexual tension and true appreciation and love they felt for the other. The more Fleur watched Narcissa she realized it wasn't completely true. She wanted Narcissa. Not to the undeniable degree she wanted Bella, but yes, the veela wanted Narcissa. But that was a feeling she had always had, even when she was pulled into that infernal classroom to teach students to dance. Back when she saw the blue thread of fate from Hermione to Narcissa. She never told a soul she saw two red twines to both women, but when she saw Bella, her own thread bright and brilliant shone. She couldn't deny it. But for the woman in the bed. Yes, she still loved her, but thankfully not to the sexual degree as Bella. She felt comfortable she was in the right place at the right time.

Then Narcissa woke. She tried to magically call her wand, but she knew the child sapped her of her energy as well as all of the other events she had done. She watched as the older woman cast the diagnostic, to see if it was true and then she saw the woman shut her eyes. Fleur saw the tears. She sighed. Hopefully Narcissa would accept what her lover left her. Their love was so strong, she wondered if Narcissa offered herself up to the universe for it to take her life. But each night she returned. When tears hit Narcissa's pillow she couldn't stay hidden. She slowly slipped her hand into Narcissa's. She felt the grip, she felt the way it was as if Narcissa grasped at the space between time and space and hoped it was Hermione.

When Narcissa's eyes opened and found Fleur's, part of Fleur was gutted, and the other part scoffed. Of course, she wasn't Hermione. Fleur moved her over. She knew she was just like Hermione and she needed her. Narcissa needed the moment from the vineyard, and she took the blonde woman into her arms. When Narcissa apologized part of Fleur broke with the woman. So, she lay in a hard hospital bed in her lover's sister's arms. Weird.

It was not until the woman, sometimes the bane of her existence and sometimes her salvation for their choices gave her Bella, told her that she knew. She fucking KNEW of her love for Hermione. Yeah, she was a tad bitter about the way things ended, but in the end, and they just so happened to be in the middle of the end, she was satisfied with Bella. Happy, yes, but not the way Narcissa and Hermione were. Bella was tied to too many people. Her mate was stretched thin. It would not do for their future. She felt it.

All she could do is console Narcissa. She ran her hands over the woman's back and grimaced as she felt the woman's energy. One thing Veela's can do, but kept it hidden, like everything, is see people's auras. This woman was beaten, flayed alive emotionally, and then served up cold for any vulture to take her. She hurt, she shattered.

"She is not gone, my love," Fleur felt her lips and voice say but from where the cords came she wondered but she was glad they came to her. Then Narcissa shoved her away. Her heart hurt. Why the fuck did it hurt? It hurt Badly like a rejected lover. She kept going back to Bella's theory and took a breath. Yup, tied, and fuck if it wasn't a ride. Bella was the pinnacle. Fleur immediately felt sorry for her lover. She felt everything. She needed to break it, they needed to break it. But the way Narcissa was roaming about the infirmary spiked a surge in Fleur.

"I am not talking about the child, Narcissa," Fleur sighed growing frustrated with the fact that the woman was driving her insane. She was in, she was out, and then she was nothing. The fucking witch was exhausting!

She took Narcissa's outburst about Hermione's whereabouts, but unbeknownst to many she sought out Professor Snape. She knew, she saw the memory. She wept at the sacrifice. She watched it over and over and over again.

"If you would have thought about the logistics instead of your broken heart, you would have thought to talk to Professor Snape," Fleur snapped back. Fleur wanted to hurt her friend, and she didn't hurt, she gutted. Narcissa wrapped her arms around her torso and became so small. So fragile. Fleur reached out. She knew it was a gamble, but she needed to witch to feel her. Maybe, just maybe she would feel the bond.

"You are so lost," Fleur spoke softly as she stood from the bed reaching for the woman that she let take her first love. But a huge part of her loved Narcissa more than that because Hemione did. Hemione still governed their decisions, and the Veela shook her head internally as she hoped the damned witch before her would listen to reason, "But you have us. You have me, mon amour," Fleur reached out to Narcissa. She shook her hand and Narcissa met Fleur's gaze. Fleur leaned on the edge of the bed. She was fucking exhausted. Between Bella and her obsession and Narcissa and her purging, she was worried beyond belief, and yet she told no on. Except one other, and it was in a moment of weakness. But it was time for truth, absolute fucking truth, none filtered and on blast.

"I would have loved you both equally, fervently, and selfishly. I could have claimed you both as mine. Let me help you for I love you just as I love her," Fleur ran a hand down Narcissa's bicep. There it was. She even wished that the blond and her lion would have added her to their bond, but they never did, leaving her an outsider, and yet, those memories were so powerful.

"What would Bella say?" Narcissa dismissed and cleaved Fleur from her memories. The heaviness of the moment lightened by injecting humor to their conversation. Fleur knew the older woman needed a break, and this was her attempt to deflect. She shook her head. Coward, Yes, Narcissa was a damn coward, but her one cord of strength was ripped from her. Maybe we, or everyone around her can he her cords, create a web of strength for her. They will all see, but back to her own matters that have plagued her for weeks.

"Bella," Fleur let her eyes soften, and Narcissa saw that warm love filled smile. Fleur loved that woman with everything she had. She would die for her, but most importantly she would live for Bellatrix black.

"Bella is everything I could ever have hoped and prayed for. For me, she is perfect. Her dark beauty enthralls me. ME a VEELA!" Fleur chuckled then her eyes grew dim as they narrowed looking from their clasped hands to the grey of the stone floor, "But when Hermione disappeared," she faced Narcissa, "Part of my dark witch went with her," Fleur sighed. Fleur knew something tied Hermione to Bella, but still she needed proof. She was still a researcher, driven by that research. Hermione would call this science, but Fleur shoved the thought aside.

"She will come back to you Fleur. She is strong," Narcissa clenched Fleur's hand meaning every word she said.

"Hermione will return to you. I feel it," Fleur rasped her affirmation, and yet believed every moment of it. She saw Hermione jerk into non-existence. She saw her sacrifice for the potions master. Fleur sighed. She comically shoved the older witch to the side and hunkered down with her own thoughts.

One of them being, did Narcissa survive because she was with Hermione's child?
