The King and Queen

Erebor had never seen such a celebration since the official coronation of Thorin as King.

But even today topped that.

Because today, a great King was gaining a wonderful Queen.

Today, Thorin married Rana and every single person inside the mountain was celebrating.

Dru was finally experiencing the 'full out' wedding that she and Fili should have had and truthfully, she thoroughly enjoyed herself.

As normal, every single person was gathered in the great hall, the royal family taking their places at the front.

Due to her large belly, Dru was permitted to sit a lot longer than the others and it was only when her Uncle came out to a standing ovation did she stand.

He stood proud and tall before all his people, but due to their close proximity, Dru could clearly see his nerves. His lips twitched ever so slightly and he was a little sweaty, but that could have also been due to the extremely heavy coat and chains he wore around his neck.

But when the entrance music for Rana began and the doors at the end of the hall opened to reveal her, Thorin's face...was a picture of delight.

Everyone in Erebor turned to look at the approaching bride and Rana was holding herself together beautifully, even in the heavy attire and jewellery she'd been draped in.

Surprisingly, the outfits that had been intended for Dru and Fili suited them far better and both handled themselves perfectly, but Rana almost seemed to be gliding as she walked towards her future husband and his family.

And when she joined Thorin's side and he took her hand, every single person cheered even before they did anything, all because of the way they looked at one another.

The ceremony itself was traditional and whilst Dru tried her hardest to stay awake, it was only Fili's occasional squeeze of her hand that kept her from completely drifting off.

But after two hours of readings, a binding ceremony, blessings and finally, placing a smaller crown on Rana's head, Thorin and she stood and kissed to signal the end of the ceremony.

As soon as their lips touched, the cheer that rose around the hall was deafening and Dru and the rest of the family shot up and cheered along.

Thorin and Rana came up blushing and the new Queen of Erebor actually let out a small laugh as Thorin bent his head and whispered something in her ear.

"Just wait until we're alone for your proper kiss."

"You mean, that wasn't it?" She teased him and reached up to brush her knuckles against his beard, "I might have to insist you skip the meal and take me upstairs right now."

"Don't tempt me," he groaned and managed to pull away, keeping his hand in hers so he could 'lead' her out, "Dis will throw a fit if we skip out now."

"True. How about we stay until we have dessert and then you can take me upstairs?"

"I was hoping for dessert upstairs," he muttered darkly, his tone silky and full of promise and Rana could feel herself growing more hungry, but not for food.

They moved into the banquet hall, their family already in front of them and taking their seats at the grand table.

But as Rana and Thorin sat down and the food was placed in front of them, they hadn't even taken a sip of their drink before there was a loud 'ahem' and the sound of someone tapping their spoon against the chalice.

"Your majesties," Dru turned herself and bowed her head at her Uncle and Rana, "My King and Queen. I would like to take this moment to address you and your people."

Dru cleared her throat again and tried to will her fear down.

She hated this. It wasn't easy and she wasn't sure HOW Balin and her mother had talked her into it, but here she was.

Traditionally, any speeches in Erebor at celebrations were made by males, but since she and Thorin had such a close relationship, she had been elected to deliver a speech to them.

And whilst she'd been practising for weeks on end, she still worried she'd get her words jumbled.

"I am aware that this is not a tradition for the females to address everyone, but this is not a traditional family," she got a few murmurs of agreement from friends in the crowd and carried on, "I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone here and thank you all, truly. You have given your blessings, your love and your wishes to this wonderful couple here and I for one can say that there has never been anyone more deserving of your affections than my Uncle Thorin and his beloved Rana."

Turning herself slightly to look at them both, she raised her chalice (of fruit juice) and smiled.

"You have been and always will be my hero. I am honoured you accepted me into your family and now, we accept Rana into ours," Dru tried to calm her growing emotions, but for some reason, she was getting a little teary, "a toast. To the King and Queen."

Every person raised their chalices, glasses, tankards and goblets towards the happy couple and cheered loudly just as Dru sat herself down and hastily wiped the corner of her eyes.

"You did well," Fili leant forward and grabbed her hand, soothing her as she quickly glugged down her juice, "not one hiccup and it was beautiful."

When she put her chalice down and looked at him, she couldn't help the nervous smile that she'd been fighting against the whole speech.

"I really hope he doesn't mind. They look pleased enough, I just hope it's not for show," she fiddled with his fingers, feeling herself heat up from the public speaking, "I'll know later if he sends for me and rants my ear off."

She eventually managed to calm herself down and become engrossed in conversation with Fili.

She did not notice the little glances her Uncle threw her.

He was going to make sure he had words with her before the end of the night.

A short while later...

The celebrations were to carry on for a few more hours, but after the second course and thirteenth song, Dru began to tire.

She'd excused herself from Fili and wished a few of the others goodnight, but many were still busy talking and not wanting to interrupt, she left them to their conversations.

She was halfway to her rooms when a familiar voice called out behind her.

"Dru," she turned to see Thorin coming towards her, his face impartial and not letting anything go, "a word, if I may?"

"Of course," she rested her hands on top of her belly, a habit that she had grown attached, partly because it comforted her, "I was just off to bed. Sorry I didn't say goodnight."

"It's fine," he turned to his guards and waved his hand slightly, both of them instantly backing off as he turned back to her, "it's understandable. About your speech earlier-"

"Oh...you hated it, didn't ya'?" She grimaced and scrunched her nose, waiting for his brutal honesty.

"What?" He looked a little bemused before giving her a gentle smile, "no, Dru...I came to say thank you. Both myself and Rana were extremely touched by your words and I'm glad you decided to," he paused briefly and she saw the little flash of humour in his eyes as he recited what she had spoken, "break the tradition for a non-traditional family."

Pleased that he had enjoyed her speech AND that Rana liked it also, she stepped forward and lowered her voice so only he could hear.

"I meant every word of what I said. You're my hero and Rana may be your wife and the Queen but...she's been a dear friend to me. You two are perfect for one another so...congratulations."

"You sound so grown-up and different," his hand came out to tenderly cup her cheek, "ten years ago, you would have hidden in your plate had anyone asked you to make a public announcement or speech. You've changed and if I may be so bold, for the better."

She shrugged her shoulders casually and thought back to her old ways.

"I hadn't been through what I have, nor seen much...strangely enough, I suppose I hadn't really 'lived' until I nearly died," she saw the little flinch he tried to hide and grimaced, "sorry. I know you don't like talking about that day."

"We lost a lot that day. And I...I could have lost you."

"You didn't though," she moved her hands to rest on his shoulders, "I'm still here."

Feeling a sudden swell of emotion come over him, he wrapped his arms around her and held her as tightly as he possibly could.

Since her stomach had grown considerably, he hadn't picked her up or swung her around in his arms.

He'd had a horrible fear of accidentally squishing her and the babe too harshly, even though she had reassured him she wasn't made of glass.

"No matter what happens or how you change, you'll always be my little one," he whispered into her ear and her grip on him momentarily tightened.

"I love you," she moved her head quickly and planted a little kiss against his cheek, which he returned.

"And I, you," he released her reluctantly and sighed, "and whilst I would love to talk with you more, you and the babe should go rest. You'll need your energy for the feast tomorrow."

With a loud groan, Dru just rolled her eyes at him.

"I'm already stuffed though! I'm not going to fit in the mountain if I have another roast!"

Thorin chuckled.

"Don't worry. Tomorrow's pork, not chicken."

Dru groaned even louder than the last one and turned away from him.

"Bloody three day festivities," she grumbled and continued to walk back to her room, Thorin laughing as he turned back around and left to return to the feast.

Truthfully, he was quite full also, but he wasn't going to leave his new wife alone for long.

Her hands had been resting against his thigh all evening and he was about to make good on his promise from earlier.

Xx Thorin and Rana xX

Celebrations NEVER ended early just because the happy couple called it a night.

They bowed and said their goodbyes until the next day and been escorted back to their rooms, the sounds of drunken and merry revelry echoing around them as they went.

But they didn't concentrate on those noises.

All the way back, Thorin held Rana's hand in his own, high in the air for all to see him escorting his wife to what would be their bedchambers.

Had he not been King, he would have possibly thrown her over his shoulder and carried her back to their rooms like a mere barbarian with how he felt.

As soon as they entered their rooms, her hands slipped from his and she continued to walk as he shut the doors behind them.

He locked it, though he knew no one would dare disturb them tonight, short of another dragon breaking into the mountain.

But he had even taken extra precaution and Bard had kindly already loaded the windlance in Dale, just encase, with his son standing on duty.

He turned back to Rana and found her standing at the foot of his bed.

'Our bed.'

"You look lost in thought," she smiled at him, though her eyes were sparkling with desire.

"I was thinking now how everything that was mine, is now also yours. Our rooms. Our Bed. But," he took a step forward slowly, almost stalking her like a hungry lion, "you've got me. My everything. My-"

"Now, now," Rana held up her hand to stop him in his tracks and cocked her head to the side, "we'll have none of that until we get off these blasted chains and trinkets. I have a feeling if we try to hold one another we'll get stuck."

Thorin did stop, but he also let out a small growl.

"Rana-"

"Oh no," she smirked at him and shook her head, "you save that for when we're in bed. Now, be a good husband and help me take these awful things off."

For a few heartbeats, Thorin just looked at her and the tension in the air crackled like lightning.

Mahal, he wanted her.

And just from her deep breaths and the way her eyes sparkled in that wonderfully familiar way, he knew she wanted him to.

But she was building the tension. Making them both wait and work for it.

Plus, she was right about their chains and he had wanted to rip his own necklace off of himself and throw it into the moat outside the mountain.

Willing himself to walk over to her and not seem like a predatory beast, he reached up and bade her turn around.

She moved her hair out of the way for him as his fingers unclasped one of her chains and she herself slowly began to undo each bracelet she had on her wrist.

Since they'd dressed her in the morning, she'd been waited on hand and foot, being fed, having to get someone to give her water and even having her hair constantly readjusted when she dared to venture outside for fresh air (constantly being veiled and covered so no one could see her in her gown and jewels before the ceremony).

Having Thorin touch her and slowly feeling the weight fall away was bliss, especially when the rough pads of his hands accidentally brushed against her neck.

"Thorin," she couldn't help but softly moan as he leant forward and gently placed a kiss once her necklace was undone.

"Yes, my love?" He chuckled darkly and made sure to keep his lips close enough to her skin so she could feel his hot breath, "is there anything else you want me to take off?"

Rana could have kicked him, but she was also desperate to get her hands on him. Or at the very least, put his hands on her.

"Yes," as she struggled with her bracelet, she herself let out a growl as his hands smoothed down purposefully over her back, "drop everything on the floor and then, as soon as it's off me, stop teasing me like a virgin and take my clothes off."

Thorin gasped as a shot of pleasure went through him and he immediately began to undo the rest of her chains.

"Very authoritative," he replied huskily as his hands moved up to her hair and began to remove the pins and chains, "Are you bossing around the king?"

When his lips latched onto the side of her neck, Rana could only arch to the side, letting him have more access.

"Aye'. And the King is making the Queen wait, which is terribly rude," she tossed the bracelets on the ground in front of her, not caring that she'd be cleaning it up tomorrow. Along with her clothes.

As soon as the last item fell away, Thorin stilled and slowly moved his hands over her, first kneading her shoulders and then, coming down to the lace at the back of her dress.

"Would you like me to stop teasing you or just simply," his voice darkened deliciously as he asked, "rip the laces off of you?"

Rana gasped at the wave of desire rolling over her and she reached blindly behind her to grab him.

Though awkward, she grabbed the back of his hair and turning her head, kissed him roughly.

They both made wonderful, passion-fuelled noises as their tongues entwined and massaged the others.

Hurriedly, instead of giving in to his desire to merely rip the laces and her dress, he pulled the ribbon from the bottom, all the way to the top and as soon as it came free from her dress, he slipped his hands into the fabric and against her skin.

She moaned into his mouth as his cool fingers came to her nipple and gently rolled her bud until it was hard.

She arched her back and his calm reserve snapped and pulled his hand away, her little noise of disappointment making him growl again.

He tore his lips from hers and commanded, "turn around."

She smirked and turned herself about, her hands grabbing at the front of his tunic.

"I've got a lesson or two for you about patience," she pushed their lips back together before he could retort and they eagerly began to disrobe the other.

First, between heated kisses, they worked together to slip her dress off of her shoulders and down to her waist.

She found it terribly distracting as his hands moved up and over her breasts again, trying to push away his robe and coat.

Their clothes quickly pooled around their feet and once his erection was freed from his trousers, Rana wasted no time in letting him know who was boss.

She wrapped her finger around his hard cock and smirked at his loud groan.

"I want you to get on the bed and lie back for me," her tongue flicked out and lightly touched the bottom of his lip, "and no touching until I say so."

"Mahal, I love you," Thorin shut his eyes and smirked as she squeezed him, "I love you, so much."

"Mmm, and I, you. Now, do as you're told."

Her fingers left him and she took a bold step away, feeling as though she were stepping back from life-giving water and she was parched.

His eyes darkened but again, did as he was told.

He sat down on the edge of the bed, scooted back slightly and laid himself down, keeping himself propped up on his elbows to watch her.

Taking her time, she crawled up onto the bed, over his legs and straddled his lips.

Her nails slowly raked over his strong stomach and she felt him twitch beneath her fingers.

"Aren't we a little old for tickling?" He let out a breathless gasp as she repeated the process, though feeling his hard cock against her inner thigh, she had a feeling he wasn't too displeased with what she was doing.

"Never too old for a bit of fun," she clicked her tongue at him and shifted her hips so his hardness was pressed against her folds, "never too old for teasing. You did that earlier if I remember correctly?"

Thorin threw his head back as he felt her hot, wet flesh move against him and he forgot her demands for a moment as he reached out to touch her.

She gently grabbed his wrist and pushed it back.

"I've told you before. You are to do as you're told whilst you are in bed. Beneath me," she continued to stroke her nails up and down his body, teasing his nipples for a moment whilst she asked him, "tell me who is in charge of you?"

"You," he replied huskily and gripped the sheets beneath him, "my Queen."

"Exactly," her hands moved down between them and grabbed him again, "and who loves you, more than life itself?"

"You," he groaned and threw his head back again as she moved over him, "always you."

She positioned him against her entrance and lifted and rolled her hips to push him inside of her.

Her head lolled forward and she sighed as he filled and stretched her JUST the way she loved.

"My Love," Thorin's desperate groan reached her ears and made her look back up, "my Queen. Let me touch you."

Rana was going to make him say 'please', but the rest of her body was just screaming at her to just shut the fuck up.

"Touch me," she whispered loud enough for him to hear and his hands came out shakily and grabbed her hips.

Slowly, with his hands helping to move her into a steady rhythm, she rocked her hips hard and slow against his.

Their gasps and moans filled the room around them, growing louder and louder because they knew that tonight they didn't need any reservations.

They were husband and wife and if anyone overheard them, they did not care.

Tonight was only about them and bringing one another to the peak of pleasure, resting and starting all over again.

Rana was the first to reach the great height.

She moved erratically over him, her cries growing, but Thorin changed the rules and suddenly sat himself up.

Only breaking rhythm for a moment to wrap his arms around her, he held her close to him as he continued to move with her.

"All those years ago, I was so young and stupid and blind to your needs," he pressed his forehead to the side of her neck and shuddered, "I love you. I love you."

"Oh, Gods!" She cried out as he switched to Khuzdul and held onto him, "Thorin!"

"My love. My wife. My heart!"

Rana could not control herself anymore and with a guttural scream, came and fell apart as though she were flying.

But though she had reached her end, Thorin's hand came between them and rubbed firm circles against her clit.

She desperately tried to wiggle away as he moved inside and against her, the pleasure overwhelming to her already sensitive body.

"Tho-Thorin! Gods, stop!" She let out a short, breathless laugh as sensation overwhelmed her and Thorin decided to grant her mercy, though he only slowed his ministrations down, refusing to stop.

Getting her wits back quickly, she shook her head and grabbed his shoulders.

"Oh, you're going to pay for that."

Pushing him away, she forced him back down and began to ride him again, going slow and hard as before.

"You thought all those nights together when we were reunited was fun and free? Oh, just wait. I'm your wife," she smiled devilishly at him, "I can unleash everything now."

Thorin felt himself slowly lose control and he knew he was ready to let go completely, but Rana had other plans.

"On my command, I want you to let go. Can you do that for your Queen?"

Thorin nodded hastily and waited for her word.

She only made him wait for a few more heartbeats before rolling her hips harder again and digging her nails into his muscled chest.

"Come for me."

Thorin cried out as he came undone beneath her. He forced himself to look between them where they were joined as his wife took him.

Once satiated and gasping for breath, he weakly managed to reach up and pull her forward.

Giggling with delight she broke the distance and laid her body on top of his, pressing little kisses over his chin and lips.

"I hope you're not exhausted from today?"

Thorin could only laugh, slightly breathlessly, but still managed to move his arms around her back to hold her in place.

"I may be old, but I've still got life left in me for tonight."

Xx The Royal Kitchens xX

"Bollocks and double bollocks," Kili threw down his cards in frustration and said miserably, "you win again."

"You can give up anytime you want, big brother," Dru replied a little smugly and rested her hands on her bump, "you're the one who wants to keep playing."

Dru sat amused as Kili glared at her and she did feel A LITTLE bad for him.

She'd awoken from her sleep to get her nightly snack from the kitchen (jam sandwiches with a thick layer of pickle spread on top) and discovered her brother drinking by himself and looking glum.

He'd explained how he'd gone briefly back to his rooms (that used to be Dru's) and heard...things he hadn't wanted to hear.

So, taking pity on him, she quickly went back to her rooms to get her cards and came back to play with him and take his mind off of everything he'd heard.

"I can't go back there," he rubbed at his face with his hand and grimaced, "what if they're not done. Or worse...louder?"

"Well, there is no need for them to keep quiet now-"

Kili interrupted with a loud groan and held his head in his hands.

"I really need my own rooms away from everyone. At least until me and Tauriel figure out where we want to live."

Dru tapped her fingers on her belly as she thought.

"Well, why don't you ask to be near Mam until you and Tauriel get married?"

Kili looked back up at her and for once, didn't look so glum.

"That might work. She's not romantically involved with anyone so I don't have to worry about that."

Dru was about to agree with him but suddenly had a cheeky idea.

"Well, I don't know about that," she reached for her drink and shrugged casually, "she says she would like Dwalin to give her some private training to keep herself in shape and she had her beard specially cut and styled when she went down to see him the other night."

Kili's grimace of horror was worth all the teasing and she could only cackle at his words.

"I did NOT need to know that!"
