Epilogue is the last thing to do.

After getting separated from the others by Xemnas, he remained quiet. Even letting himself be pushed away from the man towards the center of a new area. The brunet kept his eyes on Xemnas as he headed towards the edge to see they were at the top of the building now. No light, nothing but pure darkness all around them. The only sense of white being the castle they stood atop off. Even as he turned to face Xemnas again, he saw nothing but black in the direction behind him. Judging by how his only way down was now blocked by this guy, he wouldn't be getting far and his dragons were nowhere after the explosion went off. Both Stardust and Goldust must have fled before it went off but now they were just gone.

Chapter 96

"Now, create the world anew Light. Let us destroy the old and make way for the new, prosperous world."

"I can't do that. It would never be in balance." Sora argued. "It's genocide, Xemnas. I can't kill innocent lives. I can't justify that."

"They aren't. They merely act innocent. All hearts are nothing but darkness hidden beneath a fake light. A truth that you can see but can never wish to be true. Your kind always see the good in people. The chance of living a life to the fullest but even you can see that these worlds have become tainted." Argues Xemnas, clenching a hand. "A truth we must eradicate if we are to begin again once more, with me at the helm."

"You can't make me do this. I won't and can't do this."

"I see…" The hand released the fist and with a snap, he sees images of Moraze, Saria and Vanitas appear. "Then perhaps I should get these three. Oh, I can't forget the others either." He snaps again and see light images of Axel, Ventus, Riku, Kairi, Demyx and Roxas appear next. "Perhaps...if they were to be taken out, then you would be more motivated to end all life."

He balled his hands up but then let a defeated sigh out. Xemnas would just make the area around him a trap and take everyone he cared for. All in an attempt to make him do as he wanted. The brunet closed his eyes for a few seconds before opening them.

"You win," He looks up at Xemnas. "On the condition you hurt no one I care about."

"Very well," He snaps and the light figures fade away. "Now, begin. I shall keep anyone from interfering."

Sora turns away as he pulls out the dragon mirror. Holding flat in both hands as he heads to the center of the space. Leaving it to float in one spot then making sure it stayed there. When he looks up from the object, he sees Death floating there. His skeleton hand on the other side of the mirror. It was easy to tell that Bernard didn't care for what they were about to do but he had no choice. It was this or lose everything he had gained. He pulled his wand out, letting it open as he got the sage stone placed in the tip. It shut as always and began to glow. Both he and Bernard then drew magical lines arching over the mirror and closing it with a flat line running along the object itself. Once the lines connected, it streamed outwards. Both Dark and Light forming a circle around and then spanning upwards until it was complete. Magic began to glow from around them, the mirror and lines. Building the power needed to cast the spell.

"We will not survive this. No one will. We are killing everyone except the gods. Even I will cease to exist." Death says. "Are you ready for such a price?"

"Is there anyway to stop it, once we start?" Sora questions.

Death let a sigh out, "if we hadn't merged then we could have but with us both corrupted, we can not. Only our gods can and that's assuming if they get to us in time." Death continued to stare at him. "Did you enjoy your time at least?"

Sora gives him a sad smile, "I did. I got to have two kids. Learn about love...learn to be myself. I only hope that our gods make it in time."

Death let a raspy laugh out, "At least, one of us got to live. Are you ready?"

He nods. Both use the tips of their weapons to put the number of worlds before them in rows. Each magical dot represented a world present in the universe. Since some worlds weren't, they didn't have a lot of worlds. Just enough to reach the glass and stop. Looking up from the object, He sees the next step. They were to use a magic line to hang their weapon and hold it place while power gathered around them. Once they had no power left to provide, they would then let go. Once the weapons hit the mirror, the spell would activate and begin to tear everything from outside the current world they were in. Until this world was left and then the spell would tear it up. Leaving nothing except where the gods live.

Roxas sensed the power surge above their current location. Worried now as he ran back to the others. The first one he woke up is Axel, shaking the redhead roughly as he screamed to wake up. His voice woke Demyx near him.

"Rox, five more minutes." He closed his eyes again.

"No! No five minutes! Sora has been taken!" He yells, shaking Axel again. "Axel please...wake up!"

The redhead finally came to. Slowly opening his eyes and blinking as he looked at Roxas. Seeing the panic in the blond's eyes as he moved from him to Ventus. Asking why he was in such a state. Doing his best to push himself up and checking on Demyx. Then asking where Sora was and why wasn't he the one waking everyone up and healing any damage from the explosion. Roxas then launched into what happened when he woke up. Telling him, Demyx and now Ventus that the explosion poured all its light straight into the brunet. So much so that his body couldn't move. It was doing its best to heal the damage from the machine yet also trying to expel the access magic it had gained. With the nerf to his magic, Sora's body couldn't have too much inside it. When it just went into him though, it caused trouble. The confusion on Axel's face has him explain it another way.

Using a cup and water. If the cup overflows, then it can easily spill over until someone turned the water off. This time, it didn't work that way. The cup couldn't overflow. So instead of flowing over; like normal. It was filling up still. It was why Xemnas could take Sora away so easily. His body was stiff and unable to move because of the magic in him. It finally made sense and Axel sees the power above them gathering. They look at Riku and Mickey and see that the other miracle had stripped Riku of his dark form. Reverting him back to a silver haired teenager with a blindfold and organization XIII cloak on. Mickey got the update from Roxas as Riku pulled the coat off to reveal normal clothes under.

"I would examine your outfit Cupcake but we don't have time." Demyx says as he took ahold of Riku's hand. "So maybe after?"

"Sure, why not." He shrugs then looks at the top. "Only a small flight and we are up there. Let's go!"

"And let's not waste any time either." Axel ran ahead with Roxas next to him. "He took someone from us."

"Like hell we'll let that slide!" Roxas summoned his weapons and cut through the enemies that appeared.

Axel summoned his weapons and threw them ahead. Wiping out the next group to appear. Ventus used a wind spell and let Axel use that to burn any they missed. Riku and Demyx pass by the attack easily. Riku attacking the next group with Demyx unleashing a surprisingly powerful water attack on the group just ahead. Everyone cheered as they ran ahead with Demyx behind to guard their rear flank. They reach the top of the castle at last, only to hear a bell sound off. Waves off magic pulse off world then.

"At last…" Xemnas spoke, making them turn to the right and see him smiling. "At long last, the power needed has been activated."

"Sora!" Axel and Roxas yelled.

Everyone could see the vision of Death fade into a normal human male. Dark hair and eyes, a well but worn out suit and shoes with a pale skin. The dragon mirror spinning at the center as a scythe and wand hit it over and over, sounding off the same bell. Everyone watching as both Death and Sora just fall to the ground. The black marks now back but Death had glowing white spots on the same areas as the brunet did. They matched in corruption and power.

"Sora! Hey!" Axel ran over but the barrier of light kept them apart. "Baby..baby wake up! Come on!"

"You are an idiot!" Roxas yells at Xemnas. "You've killed us all!"

"I have brought our old universe to its knees. Now, in its place. A world of my own creation shall be in its stead. We will no longer be shunned by the light or dark. Soon, it will just be a void of nothing." He summons his weapons. "I can not allow you to ruin my plans anymore."

Xemnas took a step towards them.

"As the bells sounds off the final moments, so too shall you all cease to exist." He swung an arm at them and made everyone but Roxas and Riku disappear.

Leaving only the two of them and Xemnas alone at the skyscraper they passed in town. The only source of light in the endless void they stood in. Both sending one another a silent, judging look. Of all the people to be stuck with. Neither cared for the other and for many reasons yet this time felt different. Riku did have some compassion towards Sora, even if it happens to be buried underneath the inability to properly handle grave news. Roxas was and would remain with Sora as a life partner.

"I won't bother you if you help me end this guy. Only I am allowed to torment Sora," Riku summons his keyblade.

"Great to know the motivation you need to have is to be cruel," Roxas summoned his own. "But, I'll take it. Let's end this!"

"Agreed."

The two run towards Xemnas but hit a barrier with their faces instead. Stunning both for a second. In that second though, the leader slammed Roxas away with a swift kick into his stomach. The keyblades flying off and disappearing as the blond held onto his stomach. The silver haired teen turned to attack but a barrier stunned him again.

"Did you honestly think you could stop me with just one other person? That you could over power me," He slam's a foot down on Roxas's hand. "The man who made you into who you are?"

"You didn't make me." Roxas argues through a growl. "You never made me who I was."

The blond grabbed hold of his ankle.

"Then what makes you tick?" Xemnas scoffs, smirking at him.

The duel wielder gives him his own smirk, "Sora letting me discover myself did." He casted thunder while holding Xemnas at the ankle.

The shock waves ran up the leg, then all over Xemnas. Paralyzing him in one spot. It let Riku attack and him flying away. The silver haired teen actually helped Roxas stand and get his bearings. The two ran at the leader and see the barrier this time. So they split and apart. Roxas threw Oathkeeper at Xemnas to distract him. It worked and both used the moment to get a strike against him. The pair didn't stop though. They kept the attacks up until the keyblades hit a barrier. Growling as they see the man float to the top of the skyscraper. They wait for him to jump but nothing comes of it. They see the nobody looking around instead. The area they were brought to slipping in and out of existence until they were back on top of the white castle.

"What..wh-"

Roxas felt time slowly come to stand still then felt it freeze. Knowing seconds after he couldn't move that no one else would be moving. It was the last coherent thought he had before his world going black.

Kai let out a sigh out when she how close the weapons were to the mirror. Kuriqa and Taka run right by the others and into their magic. Only two dots were missing. The weapons had a longer swing for the next world but had been inches from hitting the mirror again. Had Kai not stopped time, they would have lost a third world. She looks to her daughter and gives a silent nod. It sends Kai out of the area while she turns her attention to the body of her mage. The black spots were much worse this time. It meant he had given every ounce of his magic for the spell, leaving nothing but the corruption inside him. Kuriqa looks to Taka and sees that his mage too, is dead.

"Who did this...who forced our mages to cast this spell?" Taka asks her. "Why would they want to kill the entire universe."

"I...don't know." She looks at Sora. "But we can't give them any magic. The spell will just take it. We have to stop it once Kai reports the worlds that destroyed."

They see the time goddess return and sigh. Informing them that worlds destroyed were El Dorado and the Light Hunter's own world. She even took a moment to see if there was a chance to undo the damage but their entire world's timeline was just gone. There was no way to undo what has been done without splitting the timeline here once again. Taka scoffs at the idea of saving worlds he saw doomed to die out soon.

"El Dorado was on the path to its own destruction. The Light Hunters, those people should have lost their world years ago. We can't revive them." Taka looks at Kuriqa and sees her crying. "Do not weep for those who were doomed to die by the god of death love. Weep for one world, do not for those who took your mages away."

"I am not weeping over that. I am weeping because I know how much this spell hurts the entire universe. Innocent lives are taken and all because people want the world in their image." She says, looking at Sora. "And my people, my mages who do their best...pay the price for trying to keep it balanced. I am so tired Taka, of watching my only mage suffer and we don't even know who is the cause of his suffering."

"I do." Kai spoke up, getting their attention. "It is Xemnas. He threatened to take all your mage held dear mom. If I unfreeze time, he will make sure the spell is carried out. Even if you mage is dead, he will attempt to revive him and make him do it again."

"What can we do?" Taka spoke up, leaving his mage on the ground as he stood.

Kuriqa stood up slowly and heads to the mirror, grabbing Sora's wand and using that to pull all the power from the spell into her. Canceling her side completely. Taka does the same. Watching the mirror fall into his lover's hand. She remained silent while setting the items by her light mage. Taking part of her power and easily healing the corruption in him. Taka walked over and checked his life. Her mage had crossed over but he brought the brunet back. Giving her a smile.

"I can't do much with Death. Bernard will have to heal his soul. You tend to that...thing with Kai. I'll be here helping Bernard and guard the frozen moment. Hurry back."

Kuriqa nods and stood again. Heading to Xemnas as Kai unfroze time without warning. It surprised everyone. Riku and Roxas blink as they see Xemnas grabbed by two women. The man struggling against their grip. Demyx, Ventus and Axel had been close to Sora after they disappeared. Three seeing him just sleeping away, instead of being dead with the God of Darkness tending to the God of Death.

"You know that plain of nonexistence this guy made?" Kai spoke to her mother, ignoring the confused stares.

"I do and I know where you are going with this." She says.

The two leave with a snap. Taking Xemnas with them.

Kuriqa and Kai land in the empty plane of existence. Xemnas still in their grasp and still fruitlessly struggling to break free. The two ignored him. Forcing him towards the center of the area. Looking around, Kuriqa gives the man a smirk as her form changes. She let go so her hand could slowly take the form a large dragon claw. The man's pale face full of real fear as he stares up at a large mouth, filled with teeth. The dragon used her claw and drew large glowing lines. As she does so, Kai shoves him towards the center and gives him a wave. Xemnas took that chance to launch himself back her way. Aware the spell was complete but showing he was confident that it wouldn't hold him. The barrier he hit made his confidence shrink. The two goddesses watching as the magic from under him formed chains and pulled all four limbs into one tight position.

"You will no longer be a threat to this universe. Here...you shall stay. Here, your soul, your mind and body will be sealed. Crystallized for all eternity." Kuriqa spoke, returning to her human form. "The memory of you will fade. This plane sealed so none can find, nor enter and even if they could. The crystals that seal you can not be undone."

"My ideals...will live on." Xemnas says, seeing crystals form on his hands and legs. "My name will live on through time."

"No it won't." Kai says. "Your past self has been under my radar for years now. I saw his plan and he too failed. You have been bested Xemnas. Xehanort can't save you. Time can't save you. Light and Dark can't save you."

"You expire here." Kuriqa coldly states. "I would have returned you to your body...but there is no body to return to."

Xemnas went to move but sees that his entire body is now crystal, his head being crystallized now. He gave the two a scowl before he became nothing but an unbreakable, living crystal. Kuriqa gently put her hands together and with a solemn bow, released a sigh.

"I pray this world to keep you here, for all the crimes you committed. I still forgive you but can not let you live outside this form." She prays. "Kai, let us return."

"Yeah, gotta explain what happened and what we did." She says. "However...you realize the power you gave him wasn't enough for him to wake up in a timely manner."

"I know…" Kuriqa held her fingers together. "I also know what must be done, to ensure he will never suffer again. He may not like what I must do but it will save him."

They return and see Axel, Ventus, Roxas, Riku and Demyx all around Sora. Bernard and Taka were talking but Death looked in bad shape. The grim reaper still had a human form and while the spots of light were gone, he couldn't return to his real form. Kai takes her leave since she would no longer be needed. She already knew what would happen. No need to watch it once again. Leaving Kuriqa to walk towards Sora once again. With a gentle hand on Ventus's shoulder and Axel's shoulder, they made room for her to kneel upon her knees. Gently grabbing both his hands, she smiles and shuts her eyes. Focusing her power to travel through her and into Sora. Every single drop she could provide to him without draining too much from her own natural source. Kuriqa did put a drop or two of draconic magic. Just enough to get wings but nothing more. She felt almost all her power now gone and stops. She not only healed the brunet but made him new god to be of Light magic. For now, he would be a demigod but soon. Soon he would be above everyone, including her.

"What...what did you do?" Demyx asks, looking from Sora to her then back at Sora. "He looks as if he is glowing; from the inside."

Kuriqa stood up then and sighs as her body shifted to a dragon-born shape. She had horns, a tail, claws, scales and wings out but she kept most of her human features. Just a more scaled, golden looking dragon-born.

"I gave up my rights as a goddess. He is now the god of Light. Had I not done this, he would have died. We are lucky to have come in time to stop the end of our universe. We can't risk an imbalance." She gives them a smile. "He'll wake after a long rest but the spell took a lot out of him. He shall be fine after some sleep."

Roxas looks at her, "Thank you, for saving him."

"Thank you, for being so loyal to him." She gives him a smile and looks towards Taka.

He was still focused on Bernard. So she walked to him and touches his arm. Getting him to do a double take when she wouldn't let him move his arm free. When he sees her new form, he looks to Sora and then at her. Putting two and two together before she even explained what took place.

"You...you gave up your status. Why?" Taka asks. "You didn't have to do that."

"It was the only way to save him properly." She touched his cheek. "Now, thanks to that...I can touch you. I can hold you and if you want, I can give you children. Real, normal children with no issues."

Taka touched her hand, his eyes closing as he leans his head against it; "I have missed your touch. The day we became these gods...I never wanted anything more than this but what of the balance?" His eyes open once again.

"You know what to do for it. Just pick the right one." She slowly pulled her hand from him. "Then, we can go. I crystallized Xemnas. He will no longer be a threat. Not now, nor in the future and past. We can rest Taka."

He got a loving smile from her as she stood by the stairwell. Without looking, he grabs Bernard by the hand and just slammed all his magic into the God of Death. Turning into a darker version of Kuriqa. Ignoring the protests as he ran to her side. The couple leaving before anyone could even say a word. Death disappeared from their eyes but they see a portal created from them to use to leave. No one waited. Axel picked Sora up and followed everyone through it. Arriving on the ship.

"Home, right away Rox." He says heading to Sora's room.

"On it." The blond ran to the cockpit.

Ventus followed him to help. Leaving Demyx and Riku to just stand there and talk about whatever it was that happened. Feeling the ship begin to move.
