With the return to the Destiny Islands, everyone sat around the mansion. Moraze and Saria snuggled with Sora as he slept in a bed. Breathing is normal but his body had expended too much magic and now had to recover completely from getting more minutes after being drained and actually dying. Axel and Roxas barely left his side. Demyx and Axel had to bring them food. Vanitas would take their place it they needed to shower or sleep. Even Kairi took Van's place when he needed it. It wasn't much to do when watching someone sleep with their kids. Riku did express his own questioning judgement on them all but Demyx would ask him to be understanding towards how they felt. In the end, he started to help with Demyx at his side.

It was one of those days for him too. Demyx was with him. Vanitas and Kairi were asleep in another room. Roxas and Axel took Moraze and Saria to get food and sleep after. Leaving the pair to watch the brunet sleep and recover, alone in a quiet room.

"I want to go but I know we can't go." Riku crossed his arms. "He is just sleeping. If he wakes up alone, what's the issue?"

"Last thing he knew, was dying. How would you feel if you woke up at home with no one to explain what happened and why you were back and alive?" Demyx asks.

"Point taken. I just…" He sees a flash of black and looks passed Demyx. "Don't get it. I am seeing things."

The room slowly turned cold.

"You are not." A raspy voice spoke, making both stand up. "I can not be the God of Darkness and the God of Death. I waited for you to be safe and now, I pass onto you…"

Riku felt a cold hand pressed against his back.

"The power of darkness. The rights to be the true God of the dark."

A second after hearing that, he felt a surge of magic pour into his body. Feeling his entire magic sources convert to match the magic being put into hum yet never changing a single part of him after it ended. All that happened is the cold receded.

"Good luck, Riku. God of Darkness." The voice says then faded away.

"What just happened!" Demyx grabs him by the shoulders. "You just..started to convulse and...glow with this dark energy and…"

"I...I just got told that I am the new god of darkness." He says looking at Demyx. "I am the new god of darkness. Sora is the god of light."

"So...you really are the opposite now! He is light, you are dark. You can get along now...right?" Demyx happily says. "You two are equal."

"Tch, still doesn't change how I feel but yes." Riku looks at his hand. "We are equal."
