Chapter 67 The Plan

(Location: West side district Argus northern region of the Anima continent Kingdom of Mistral Remnant)

Yang and Cardin has done everything in order to find Oscar. The farm hand has gone missing right after Jaune, Ren, Nora and the Winchester found out the truth of Ozpin's past and the revelation that Salem is immortal and can't be killed. The Arc got so angry pinning the teen to a wall, after a punching a wall out of anger. Honestly neither of the two teens blamed the blond for acting the way he did. The rest were upset too. Finding out their journey they had a meaning because they couldn't stop the big threat behind the Grimm, the Fall of Beacon and the Fall of Haven. The Arc was upset enough that he ended snapping at his own girlfriend Velvet. At least, that was something that was solved as the older Crowe forgave him, not without giving him a warning not to do it again. One thing less to worry about. So everyone decided to split up and search all over the city for the farm boy.

Nora and Ren went to the east side, Blake and Weiss went north, Laphicet and Ruby went south, Jaune and Velvet went to the middle section. Leaving the blond brawler and the Winchester taking the west side. Both started calling out for the farm youth, shouting his name. Then, they followed with asking people if they have seen him. Yang has taken a photo of Oscar when they were still in Mistral. So she showed it to everyone they ran into. Too bad they haven't had any luck so far. No one have really seen him. Just where has he gone. Velvet was right, he won't leave the city because it wasn't safe with the Grimm prowling the snowy grounds. It was obvious he will remain in Argus. Both kept on searching and asking for hours. Even with his picture, they were going to have a hard time looking for him. Yep, it was going to be a long day as it was almost getting dark, it sucks.

Yang has called the others to know if they have had any luck so far. It was the result on their end as the blond sighed hanging up. Cardin noticed her expression yep, she was reaching her limit. He can tell she was getting annoyed by this searching. Knowing her she will start a rant on why was this taking so damn long or why haven't they found him yet. In fact the Winchester has been asking himself for a while, why was he with her. Seriously the brawler would either pick Blake, her partner to accompany her. Not to mention he thought she might have a thing for the cat faunus of Team RWBY. Not like he was an expert on the field. If it wasn't her, it will definitely be her sister Ruby. It will make more sense if she has the red cloak girl and leader of the team with her too. But why him. Did she wanted to catch up while they were separated. It's not like he didn't missed her or anything okay, that was a lie.

How long were they separated, a few days, a week maybe. He lost count. It didn't answered his question, why did she chose him. Why was he having this argument with himself, why was it bothering him so much. This was stupid it should be easy to answer. Yang sees him as a friend and maybe she felt like having him accompanying her search for Oscar. The big problem is that he still hasn't told her about the big secret. How can he take time to tell her after so much has happened. The whole revelation of Ozpin's past and Salem. And now the farm boy disappears to who knows where. How can he take a couple of minutes to talk to the blond brawler. He needed to calm down, he was making a big fuss of nothing. Well it wasn't really nothing, his mother is pregnant with the child of Yang's father. So it was a big deal and she along with her younger sister should know.

The sooner this was over, the sooner he can calm down. He was still trying to get over the fact the big evil can't be stopped making their journey not worth it. But Cardin was still fighting because he was still trying to find his place in this world. Walking the unknown path. Poor guy didn't know Yang has been stealing glances at him, back and forth. Sure, she was focused in asking people and calling out to the farm teen. But she will take a couple of seconds to gaze at the tall teen. What was going on in his head. He looked like he so many questions that will overload his brain. The brawler didn't blamed him after finding out the truth and everything about Ozpin and Salem. Yet, she has noticed something was troubling him. When she reunited with him before, finding out. So what was wrong with him. Guess she was more worried about him than Oscar, not knowing how to feel about that.

"Excuse me, sir ma'am?" Yang saw an older couple as she opened her scroll with the teen's picture" have you seen this boy? He's around fourteen to fifteen."

Cardin shook his head seeing that the couple had no idea. They obviously haven't seen him. Same result they had with the last twenty or was it twenty five people they have asked. If the others weren't having any luck, it will be the same with them. Maybe this was happening for a reason. What if Oscar didn't wanted to be found. He wanted to be alone. The Winchester knew how that feels after losing his teammates. He just wanted to be alone, not see anyone. Another couple walked in as the blond immediately went to them showing the picture on her scroll. Two males holding hands. They didn't know either. Now, it was just silly. No results, not even a single lead it was frustrating. It's like the earth swallowed the farm teen. Yeah, he was pretty much in the mood that he didn't care if they find him or not. It was annoying, if he needed privacy then they shouldn't be searching for him in the first place.

"This city is huge. It might take us days to find him."

"The others might find him before us."

"Yeah, not to mention you ain't helping much."

"What do you mean? I'm here calling out for him."

"Have you try asking people around? Having a picture of him will help."

"Not my fault if I didn't took a picture of him. I never use the camera feature of my scroll before."

This really surprised Yang. Didn't he at least took a picture with his team when they officially became CRDL. This only made it worse for the blond brawler. Not a single photo of his teammates, the same teammates that are gone. So he didn't even had a memento of them. The blond hated herself for bringing the topic even if she didn't do it on purpose. Time to change the topic before he starts thinking of the past and he gets depressed. Her scroll beeped, opening to received the call it was her sister. Still no sign of Oscar or their uncle for that matter. The brawler wanted to smack Qrow right now. He just have to ditched them just when the person that is sharing his conscious and soul with Ozpin goes missing. They could really use his help right about now. The blond turned to the Winchester who was checking the time on his scroll as if he was in a hurry.

"You don't want us to find Oscar, do you?"

"Ever thought he wants a break? He wants to be alone and all of us are searching for him it doesn't feel right."

"We need him. Ozpin's mind and soul are merge with his."

"Do we? Because so far, he doesn't have a plan to stop the Grimm Witch and how long he's been like that? You think he would come up with a plan by now?"

"You ain't the only one-angry or annoyed about this. But none of us are giving up. We just have to keep going. Right now, we have to find Oscar so we can find a way to get to Atlas next."

"That's another pain. How are we going to get to Atlas? The old hag made it clear she isn't helping us."

"Would you try to calm down? Cardin what is wrong with you?" she got upset but mostly she was worried.

"What is wrong? The bad guy can't die, we're all walking into a suicide run and I...I just don't know what to do. I thought coming with you guys would help me find my purpose. But now, I feel like I'm lost. For once in my life I want to do something like a true Huntsman would do. And I'm not thinking about myself. I want to help people, I want to help this world that is currently being plagued by this witch that nobody knows she exist. That's what's wrong with me."

Yang felt happy and sad at the same time. The Winchester set a goal for himself during his new path in life. Now, it feels like his goal is just meaningless. He could have back down and go with his mother but instead he chose to travel with her and everyone. Honestly she didn't wanted him to go, she was glad he was here. He has taken enough crap in the past and now he wants to try and do some right.

"Look I'm sorry. We're suppose to be finding Oscar not telling you my troubles. I didn't mean to act like a jerk."

"You weren't being a jerk, you feel exactly how Jaune, Ren and Nora feel and even my uncle. It's the same reason why Oscar left in the first place. Maybe you're right, maybe he needs some space like all of us. But we can't think that he might come back like nothing happened. What if he decides to remain missing? What if he never comes back? We can't take that chance."

"You heard Velvet. He's not going to try and leave the city. Not unless he wants to get devoured by Grimm."

"I think we should head back. It is starting to get dark."

"Sorry…."

"Don't be. I asked you what was wrong and you answered. I like when you speak your problems. Is that all?"

"Most of it" he muttered but Yang heard him.

"There's something else isn't it?"

"No, no I'm fine now."

"Cardin I know you've been hiding something from me, from us for a while. You've been avoiding me way before we got here. Since we were in Mistral. You won't even look into my face. See, right now you're trying to avoid eye contact, why?"

"Damn it. Why couldn't I just stay quiet? Too late, she knows and I can't lie to her she will know. When did she started to know me so well that she can read me like an open book?"

"If you're bother by something else I'm right here. Last I check friends are suppose to look after one another. And talk their problems out. You will feel better if you do."

"It's hard to say how I will feel if I tell you" he rubbed his forehead.

"Well, it's too late for that. Because you're telling me now."

"Yang-"

"We're not leaving until you tell me what's wrong. Is it some kind of big secret you don't wanna share?"

"You hit it right in the nose. Yes, there is something I've been keeping from you and even your sister and uncle. I've been trying so hard to have the guts to tell you. But it's just one thing after another. And after this, it was the last thing on my mind."

Now the brawler was very curious to know. A secret that he needed to tell her, Ruby and Qrow. But not the rest of her friends.

"What is it?"

"Can we at least get something to drink or eat-"

"No, you're telling me now!" her eyes got red.

"Come on-"

"Cardin NOW!"

"FINE! Your dad got my mom pregnant! There, happy?!"

"….."

Cardin felt a big weight has been removed from his shoulder. There, he finally said it. It took a lot but he did it. Her reaction was exactly as he was expecting. Lilac eyes pretty wide, mouth wide opened. Truly a shocked expression not seeing it coming. Might as well he has dropped a bombshell on her. He guessed she will freak out and start asking questions left and right. But he finally did his job and there was no way in hell he will tell Ruby. Let his big sister handle it. It was too hard to actually tell her, saying it again no thank you.

"You're…Kidding, right?" she was in denial, of course she will be.

"Do I look like I'm kidding?"

"It can't be…."

"It is. She told me before she left. It's a shocker I know. I'm still coming to terms with it but, its true."

"How…?"

"When a man and a woman love each other-"

"Not that! You know what I mean!"

"They got drunk. After we left mom bought some booze and wanted to share it with your dad. They talked, they drank, got drunk and...You know the rest."

"I didn't even know dad was the drinking type. This is just...Wow…."

"You're telling me. I've been trying to tell you before we left Mistral. But I couldn't, I was acting like a scare child, afraid he will get scolded. It's ridiculous."

"That's why you've been avoiding me. I know it wasn't easy to tell me but, not to the point that I will get angry with you."

"You aren't?"

"No. It's not your fault. Does my dad knows?"

"She's planning to tell him after she's done with some business in Vale. After that she will go to Patch."

"He's in for quite a surprise" a smile spread her features" so, another one is on the way. Wonder how Ruby will react. I don't even know how to tell her."

"There you have it. She's pretty sure it's a boy. Must be mother's intuition at work."

"A little brother, huh?"

"You okay with this?"

"Of course I am. I am more than happy to know another member is joining the family. You should too. Are you?"

"Yeah, I'm just speechless. This was the last thing I was expecting. But I'm glad she's having another one. There was this one time she kept saying she wanted to have another kid. Because she didn't wanted me to be alone. For all it's worth, I'm glad it's your dad. He's a nice guy and I'm sure he'll be there for her."

"You bet, dad has always been like that. He's going to be so happy. He loves children."

"At least something good came from this search."

There was short silence between the two. Yang was happy to know she will be having a future little brother according to Trisha's motherly instinct. It came out of nowhere but she was happy. Not to mention her dad deserves to be with someone. He's been alone ever since Summer's passing. Her mom didn't stay with him for too long. If everything goes well Trisha might just be the one for him. It was time for him to move on and embrace the present. That's how she feels as for her sister, pretty sure she was going to be very excited. Then it hit her. The lilac eyed blond turned to the Winchester as he was staring at her. It's like they could read each other's mind.

"Oh my...You're going to be my-"

"Stepsister!"

"Stepbrother!"

They finished in unison.

"Sounds awkward. I know."

"This is going to take some getting used to. Ruby will also be your stepsister."

"I'll get used to it, I think. Wanna do another search around the street before heading back?" Cardin was feeling so much better he finally got this off his chest.

"Yeah, why not?"

They resumed walking the streets. While the Winchester was relief, part of him wasn't happy. He wasn't sure why as he took a quick glance at the blond brawler. She was smiling but did he really wanted this. This whole thing of being part of a family. As he turned his gaze back to the streets, it was Yang the one staring at him. Many thoughts were going on her head right now. She smiled, her cheeks turned red and ended up punching his shoulder knocking him to the ground. Guess she shouldn't have use some of her brute strength on that jab. Wait, it wasn't one.

Jaune and Velvet kept calling out to the farm boy, asking people if they have seen him. No luck in the slightest. Even calling the others if they have found him. It wasn't looking good. It was dark already, and they will be made to pause their search for the next day. Not like they have time to waste. They haven't forgotten they needed to find a way to get to Atlas. But first, they needed to find Oscar. They needed him, they needed Ozpin with them. The Arc wasn't feeling horrible with himself. All of this happened because how he reacted with the youth. It was his fault and he wasn't going to rest until he finds him. This city may not be as big as Mistral but, it was still big. He could be anywhere. The blond leader felt a hand on his shoulder, gazing at his girlfriend. This was no time to be putting the blame on himself. They have a priority, the blame game wasn't going to help them.

"You know it's my fault."

"You know it won't help."

The Arc sighed, she was right so he wasn't going to argue anymore. They gaze at their surroundings. They were at the city square and next to it was the park. The blond leader didn't realized they have come here by accident. They were in the middle section and that's where the park was located. Must be their luck. He didn't know what to do, they were still searching for Oscar so this could wait. Velvet has looked at him and he could see in chest nut eyes, she wanted to see the monument. How can he forget that she was present when his partner was murdered. She suffered the most because she blamed herself for her death for failing to protect her. A teacher that couldn't do anything for her student. Jaune didn't said a word but only nodded to the young woman as she smiled in return. Both walked to the park holding hands. Why they were so nervous, a feeling they couldn't understand. As they went further, they saw it.

It stood at the end of the park. Between some beautiful cut bushes after a line of benches. The monument, the statue it stood on a small round pedestal. Pyrrha wearing her battle attire her weapon Milo, was strapped on her back. Her shield Akouo was on the front as she was holding it with both hands. She wasn't in a fighting stance more like a stance that symbolizes tranquility. It suited her considering she was the most calm of the group. The people of Argus did a great job building it. It felt like it was alive, every single detail was well made. It was truly perfect. The best way to honor her memory. The couple tightened their hold as they resumed walking, getting closer to the statue. There was a sing made of iron in front of the pedestal with something engraved on it. The message has made them teared up. Velvet was ready to shed tears, the words hurt her than any injury she has received in any fight.

In Honor of Pyrrha Nikos

Below the message stood her insignia, the spear in the circle. Tears were already falling on the older Crowe. Remembering the fight with Cinder at Beacon. It came back to her full circle. The images flashing before her eyes. Memories she wanted to forget but failed.

"Velvet it's okay. I made up my mind when I came here to help you. I was ready to face my destiny."

"It wasn't my destiny to become the new Fall Maiden, but to protect my teacher and my friend...Even in Death."

Velvet's eyes were red from letting too much tears fell.

"That is why I'm ready for anything. I'm ready to look at Death with no fear. I had a wonderful life filled with no regrets. I made so many good friends, I wouldn't replace them for anything."

"Pyrrha…."

"Tell me...Do you believe in destiny?"

"It was just like the Scarlet Night, watching Laphi getting killed right before my eyes. It was the same with Pyrrha I…."

Jaune has immediately hugged her as she sobbed in his arms. Then, she buried her head on his chest. The blond knight wrapped his around her. And here he was in pain, missing his partner when his girlfriend had it the worse than anyone. Who wouldn't be the same after seeing a good friend getting killed right before them.

"I miss her" she replied between sobs.

"I miss her too. We all do."

After a few minutes of shedding tears and crying her heart out. Velvet finally calmed herself down. This was too much, to remember that horrible night. Watching Cinder piercing Pyrrha's heart with an arrow and then burning her body, turning her to ashes. She broke the embrace as her boyfriend dried her tears. He was glad she was here with him. He wouldn't be able to go through with it. Standing here, staring at the statue. Both composed themselves as they kept gazing at the memorial monument dedicated to the red haired huntress and a former member of Team JNPR. Footsteps approached them as the couple looked behind them. There stood a young woman looking in her late twenties or early thirties. With short red hair, bright green eyes with glasses wearing, a long brown fur coat on the top and bottom. With black in the upper section with a brownish yellow line on the top. The same color were on her sleeves resembling bracelets.

She was holding a bouquet of red flowers. Jaune and Velvet were astonished as the resemblance of this woman to Pyrrha. She was her living image. She must be a relative of the fallen Huntress. She had such a sweet smile in features as her eyes were on the statue.

"It's really beautiful, isn't it?"

"Yeah."

"They did an amazing job" replied Velvet.

"They sure did. Everybody loved her and they were all crushed when she chose Beacon over Haven. No one wanted to see her go but it was where she wanted to be."

The older Crowe lowered her gaze thinking how they must have felt. And how they felt when they found out she died at the Fall of Beacon. It was the same thing with Jaune. It will make sense. If everyone in Argus knew her adding her popularity she will be so awkward. She wanted to meet new people that can accept her for who she is and not the title she carries of famous student or the mascot from a cereal brand.

"I'm just glad she was surrounded by such amazing people."

"She was. She met many friends at Beacon. I used to be her teacher" the former therion started tearing up again.

"I bet she was a great student" the red haired woman smiled.

"She was amazing. I will always be proud of her."

"She was my partner and I was the leader of the team she was part of. We were Team JNPR."

"I'm more than honored to meet the two of you."

"I feel she should be standing here instead of me" replied the Arc.

"She is."

This made the blond and young woman raised an eyebrow. As the red head turned to them with a smile.

"She understood that she had a responsibility to try. I don't think she would regret her choice, because a Huntress would understand that there really wasn't a choice to make. And a Huntress is what she always wanted to be."

"No, she didn't. She fought to the bitter end like a true Huntress" Velvet gave a soft sob remembering her last words.

"Pyrrha never got the chance to graduate. But she was a Huntress, just like I'm a Huntsman, my teammates and my friends and Velvet."

"Thank you, both" she removed a tear as she put the bouquet of flowers on the pedestal.

"Velvet?"

The young woman gazed at her as she took her hands" I can tell just by looking at you that you are a wonderful person. Filled with love, you have many people that care for you. More than you know. Don't ever let guilt or the burdens of your past take it away. And you have someone next to you who loves you very much."

Jaune has taken her hand smiling and she smiled back. When they turned to the red haired woman, she was gone. Both blinked in shocked, she was nowhere to be seem. It's like she just up and vanished out of thin air.

"That was…."

"Creepy" finished the former teacher.

"We should come back with everyone and place flowers too."

"Right and Jaune" she paused gazing at her boyfriend" you were right. In a relationship, there shouldn't be any secrets between us. So, I will tell you a secret I've been keeping. Well, me and Laphi to be exact."

The blond nodded not bothered that she has another secret. What was important, that she was telling him and wanted their relationship to be a healthy one.

"The night Ozpin called us and told us everything. He also gave us a choice. He was willing to give us the same gift he gave Qrow and Raven."

Blue eyes widened from the shock" he turned you and Laphicet into birds too?!"

"Not birds. This time, he gave us the luxury to choose our animal forms."

"So you and Laphicet can change into animals via magic too?"

"You're the first to know. I will have to tell the others eventually."

"Okay, I don't have a problem with it. It's what you and Laphicet wanted right? He didn't forced any of you. It's all good then."

"Aren't you curious to know what can we transform into?" the older Crowe was hiding a smirk.

"Oh yeah. I really want to know."

"That's a secret."

"What? Come on, you just said there shouldn't be any secrets in a relationship. And now you want to keep another one from me. For real?"

"I have a feeling you will know a whole lot sooner than you think" she smiled.

"Can you at least tell me what is Laphicet's animal form?"

"Nope. Talk to him. Not my fault if he doesn't want to tell you."

The Arc sighed as they have decided to leave the park. They were feeling so much better after talking things out with whoever was that red haired woman. She just disappeared right in their very own faces. The couple spotted a cafe. Jaune offered her if she wanted some food or dessert. The older Crowe was feeling like having some ice cream, how long has she taste it. He told him to bring four vases knowing Laphicet and Ruby would want some too. The blond smiled before leaving to the cafe as the former daemon decided to wait for him from her spot. Her thoughts drifted again to that red haired woman, who was she. She has to be related to Pyrrha, her older sister or mother. But vanishing like that. Velvet took a break to check on the others opening her scroll. Her brother answered and nothing so far on Oscar's whereabouts. A sigh escaped her lips putting the device on her pocket.

"Enjoying yourself?"

The young woman smiled seeing Saphron with Adrian in her arms.

"Just got back from picking Adrian from the daycare."

"Jaune went for ice cream. He's on the line, it's not too late if you want some."

"That's okay. No sign of Oscar?"

"I have no idea where he could have gone. Maybe he wants to be alone and doesn't want to be disturbed. But still, we're worried."

"You really are something Velvet. You I'm glad that we get this chance to be alone. There are so many things I want to say to you."

"I'm here. Looks like you're planning to tell me."

The older Arc smiled while Adrian giggled" for starters. I wish you could all stay in Argus, maybe get your licenses at Haven. Become Huntsmen here. Not, that I don't trust the Atlas Military or anything. It never hurts to have extra protection"

Velvet stood in thought. Looks like she hasn't found out about Haven yet. Argust hasn't found out or the other kingdoms. Mistral must be keeping things under wraps for the time being. The citizens there are the only ones that knows the lies the council told them in order to prevent them from panicking. Nothing good will come if they ever find out the headmaster was working for a powerful enemy and information that its not meant to be release to the public yet. Maybe never.

"The second thing. I want to thank you for helping Jaune. For taking him under your wing and training him. He kept telling me he has improved and has gotten stronger because of you. He has you to thank for everything, he's a capable Huntsman now."

The older Crowe blushed from the compliment" he's has a lot of potential. It took time and I see myself in him. When I started my training, I made so many mistakes, I lost count how many times I screwed up. Even hurting myself in the process."

"Oh yes, Jaune also told me your fighting style is self taught. That's really something. I'm just glad that he's finally making his dream come true. When our father started training him he was...Well, strict and harsh. He kept urging him to get better and obey him to the word. He got so angry when he couldn't meet his expectations. I mean, he's not a bad person he cares for all of us. Even when I told him I was gay he wasn't ashamed, he just hugged me and told me I'm still his daughter, nothing will ever change that" Saphron dried her tears.

Velvet took the time to take Adrian from her as the boy was already enjoying her company. The infant was laughing as the long haired woman was making him funny faces.

"You're also good with kids. Jaune didn't told me that."

"I used to be a teacher. Of course I will know how to be good with kids" she smirked.

The female Arc ended up laughing as both shared a laugh. Now tears of laughter were coming out.

"That's another thing he didn't tell me. You have a great sense of humor."

"Why was John so harsh with him?" the former daemon kept the topic going.

"Father loves us very much, the family is everything to him. At the same time, he wanted an heir badly. None of us couldn't because we're female. And since Jaune was the only male he didn't lose hope. He saw him as the future head of the family. Someone who can continue the Arc legacy of heroes. Honestly I don't like the idea that only males have to be heirs. Females are capable fighters too. But that's how tradition is."

"That's why he was mean to him during the training. He couldn't expect him to learn anything under so much pressure. He didn't had the patience or the temper" the former daemon already knew after meeting John.

"That's pretty much true. And he acknowledged his mistake, he apologized so many times through his letters. But now, their relationship has gotten better and he's very proud of him."

"That's how it should be. I'm proud of him too."

"All thanks to you. You basically saved my brother and the family. That's why I will be forever thankful to you."

"I think you're giving me too much credit."

"You deserve it. Doesn't she Adrian?" the blond woman friendly pinched his cheek.

"I'm very proud of my little brother, he found the perfect woman for him. Trained him, looks after him, cooks after him. The one person who can keep him out of trouble. You and Jaune make the cutest couple."

Velvet was blushing dozens shades of red from the compliments. She hold the infant trying to ignored the blond woman.

"You can easily get so embarrassed. Nothing like Terra Cotta. Sometimes I wonder she's made of stone."

"Sound like me and Jaune aren't the only cute couple."

"Oh thanks. Terra Cotta's amazing, she can be too serious sometimes but that's what I like about her. I'm the one teaching her how to relax, let off a little. Take a breather every once in a while. She's a real workaholic."

"Considering what is her job, I don't blame her." Velvet was smiling down at the infant, he really enjoyed her company.

"Adrian here is Terra Cotta's only child. His father and her husband left her for another woman. Back then, she was experiencing difficult times. Going through depression and economic problems. She was so scared of losing him. There was this one time he was demanding custody for him. Of course court went on her favor but it's her greatest fear. When I ran into her she was a real mess, crying, trying to calm him down. I couldn't help it but lend her a hand. Velvet smiled happy with the Arc. He understood her, everything she told him it was something that no one will believe. Being another world and all the things she made when becoming a daemon, the whole revenge agenda. Better to keep it a secret and leave it with the people she can trusts the most.

"My past is more complicated than Terra Cotta's, much more. Sorry if he didn't gave you any details."

"If it's too personal I understand. I don't have a problem with it. It goes to show you how much my little brother cares for you."

"Meeting all of your sisters and parents was a good experience. You have a big family" the former therion gave another smile.

"And it has gotten bigger with you. Welcome to the family."

The older Crowe kept staring at the older Arc as she was smiling hiding a grin.

"Jaune will eventually marry you and you will have his child."

This was it, the comment that will make Velvet died from embarrassment. Her face has turned so red as her eyes widened. Just the thought of marrying the Arc and giving birth to their child. Remembering the times Niko will lecture her to get a boyfriend, marry him and make a family with him. That's why she always told to take care of her physical and look pretty so the boys can notice her. Saphron couldn't contain her laughter as she took little Adrian from the embarrassed woman's arms. She's so easy to tease. If only she was successful with her wife.

"Anyway" stopping her laughter" have you and Jaune went to the park?"

"The statue?" Velvet's color face returned to normal still, the embarrassment was there" we did?"

"I honestly didn't knew Pyrrha Nikos on a personal level. Unlike many of the residents of Argus. But I can tell she was a very good person. Many mourned her passing and decided to built that monument. It must have been so hard for Jaune. Someone so caring and talented she got the chance to be his partner and to be part of his team. I wish I could have been there for him. I Wish I could have met her."

"He had his friends to help him get through it. I...I wasn't there, I ended up in a coma after the Fall of Beacon. I woke up six months later."

"Jaune told me about that too. I'm glad you're here and feeling better. It's good to know my little brother is in good hands. And he has many friends to support him when things get tough. I know being a Huntsman is not an easy job but as long as you have people that look after you, I'm sure you can all manage."

"Even Cardin?" the older Arc brought the Winchester looking with regret" I didn't like him at first because he told me he used to bully Jaune during their school days. But then, Jaune told me what happened to his teammates, his leg and eye. I guess I feel sorry for him. Anyone would changed after such a horrifying experience."

"He's been through a lot too. But he has changed for the better and now, he wants to help in any way he can. He may not admit it but, he cares for us."

"Yeah. I even apologized to him for acting rude at the start. You must be so proud."

"They're my students. Of course I'll be proud of them" smiled the older Crowe.

"Keep looking after my baby brother, okay?"

"Will do."

"Just don't keep me waiting. I want to be an aunt already" Saphron smirked.

"Would you quit it!" Velvet's face turned red again.

"Sorry for taking so long that line looked like it could go on forever" Jaune finally arrived carrying a plastic bag" hi Saphron."

"What did you buy?" asked the older Arc.

"Ice cream. I bought more for two just in case Adrian wants some."

"That's my baby brother thinking about his nephew" the young woman smiled.

"Don't forget Ruby and Laphi" added the former teacher.

"Them too" he smiled.

Velvet's scroll suddenly beeped as she picked it up" anything? All right, we'll head back."

"Did they find Oscar?" asked the blond leader.

"No. Everyone's heading back to your house. We'll resume the search tomorrow."

"It is getting late" spoke Saphron while Adrian gave a yawn.

When Jaune, Velvet and Saphron returned to her house. The others were already present. None of them were able to get any leads on Oscar. So they had no choice but try again the next day. It wasn't going well for the group. They weren't planning to leave for Atlas without the farm hand. Ozpin may have grown silent but that doesn't mean they should leave him behind. The teen agreed to come with them and help them in their mission. But this sudden change have really complicated things. Terra Cotta was already present as she just arrived from work. Saphron gave Adrian to his mother as the woman was ready to opened the front door. She was shocked when she realized the lock was released. The dark skinned woman gazed at everyone, giving the notion that someone must have broken into their home. Velvet and everyone have taken their weapons just in case.

The door has suddenly opened telling everyone the intruder was still inside. As they were all gazing at Oscar, who has had a change of clothes. An olive coat with shoulder pads and a belt both of dark red. Underneath, he was wearing a white collared shirt and bandages wrapped around his neck. Gloves that are slightly open U-shape with black X-pattern wrists straps. Black trousers and red boots colored orange at the toe. The group has immediately sheathed back their weapons as they were shocked to see the farm teen again. Just when they were ready to call it a night and resume searching for him tomorrow. There was a short silence, not expecting the youth to returned to the house after leaving without a word. Relief washed over the faces as the farm teen has smiled, feeling guilty.

"I was wondering when you'd get back."

"OSCAR!"

Nora was the first to cried out as the group tackled the poor boy inside the house. Obviously Velvet put up a face like she wasn't worried, the same with Cardin. The others were so glad he was back, safe and sound. Saphron and Terra Cotta just smiled at the sight. Their home has sure gotten livelier since their arrival. Qrow and Maria didn't reacted, but relief that one problem out of the way. Ruby was the one to offered a hand to help the farm hand on his feet.

"You had us worried sick!" said Weiss.

"Are you okay?!" followed Ruby.

"What are you wearing?" the Valkyrie changed the topic checking out his new attire.

"Uh…." he was so embarrassed.

"We were searching all over the city for you" Velvet crossed her arms looking serious" where were you?!"

"I was here. I got back a few hours ago."

The older Crowe sweat dropped still keeping her tough front" you shouldn't have run off in the first place."

"In other words, she was worried too" Laphicet translated.

"Is something cooking?" asked Terra Cotta as she entered with her wife and the others.

"Oh, uh, yeah, I thought maybe you guys would appreciate a hot meal after spending all the day looking for me, apparently."

"Smells like it's burning" said the former teacher.

"The casserole!"

"We're on it, chef" said Saphron and her wife went to the before giving Adrian to Maria, she elderly woman didn't minded she secretly loves children.

"It's my fault we were all out there looking for you in the first place" said Jaune" Oscar, I am so sorry for earlier. I was way, way out of line and what I said-"

"No, it's okay. These past few days, I've been scared of the same things you were. I don't know how much longer I'm going to be me. But I did some thinking, and I do know that I want to do everything I can to help with whatever time I have left."

"Good" smiled the blond leader" this team isn't the same without you, Oscar."

"Uh, combat gear looks good" said Ruby.

"It's nice" replied Laphicet trying to hide hide his jealousy, the silver eyed girl was giving too much attention to the farm teen.

"Glad to see you too, Qrow. Wanna fill us in where you were?" Velvet turned to the Huntsman.

"Like I said, doing some thinking and I have. You gave me a choice to stay or leave, so I'm staying. I will help whether it's my semblance getting in the way or just making things worse for us. I'm not letting it control my life."

"That's good. It's better to have you here" smiled the long haired woman.

"And I'm glad you guys solved the thing with Oscar, whatever it was. Still, we're not one step closer to Atlas. If any of you have ideas, let's hear it."

"I think I have an idea" spoke the Arc getting everyone's attention" but it's a sort of a no-going-back kind of idea."

"I don't see anyone else having one. What is it?" Velvet sounded curious to know what the blond leader has in mind.

"With Cordo on watch. Only Atlas ships have the clearance to leave for Solitas. So we steal an Atlas air ship."

"That's not just breaking the law. That's, that's definitely worse" said Weiss.

"How would we even get onto the airfield?" asked Yang.

"That part I haven't figured out yet" he sweat dropped" but I-

"Okay, I gotta stop you there. If anything goes wrong with this plan of yours. And it sure looks like it will, it's not something we can fight our way out of. This is the Atlas Military we're talking about."

"The same military that retreated during the Fall of Beacon. The same military which their tin cans and Altesian Paladins got scrapped by dozens of Grimm. The same military that had casualties by the White Fang and Grimm during the Battle of Haven. If it weren't for Winter that she was able to keep the number of casualties of her forces by a minimum. They're strong, but not that strong. The base itself might be very secure and impossible to infiltrate but we're not forcing out way in. I'm sure if we can figure out and think things more we can find a way to make Jaune's plan work. Or do you have a better idea?" said the former therion.

"Oh brother, I could sure use a drink right about now" he sighed.

"Anyone wants to help elaborate on this crazy plan?" asked Nora.

"What about Terra Cotta?" said Laphicet" she works at the relay Tower of the Atlas Base, right?"

"Yes, that's right. Maybe she can help us. Do some of her work and keeps us invisible from Cordo's radar. Giving us the perfect getaway" said happy Arc.

"So far so good and crazier. But we're still missing the part of how are we going to enter the base?" said the former heiress.

"That will be you?" replied the former teacher.

Everyone gazed at Weiss as she blinked.

"Cordovin made it clear that she's willing to give you a lift to Atlas. So you go alone."

"And how are you all going to board the ship? I doubt the pilots are just going to land outside of the base and let some strangers come aboard."

"I heard my name being called" Terra Cotta merged from the kitchen with Saphron.

"Were you listening?" the blond leader smiled nervously.

"Yes. And hun I must say your brother is insane. If I get involved in this crazy idea I will be in serious trouble. If they find out I gave you a hand in stealing Atlas Military property I can easily get prison for life."

"We don't have much of a choice here" said Ruby.

"She's right. We tried doing things the easy way and it didn't worked. Cordovin is forcing our hand so it leaves us to do it the hard way" replied Velvet.

"All right, let's all discuss this and make Jaune's plan more accurate so it doesn't fail" said Ren.

So everyone got seated and decided to give their own ideas to make the Arc's plan better. Of course Terra Cotta was involved as she will play a vital part in it. Though she was hesitant of doing this. Blake will also play an important role for the sake of it's success. They made the necessary arrangements until they were pleased with the results. Still it was a crazy plan they will get them in deep trouble with the Atlas Military if it goes south. After over an hour they were all set. Weiss was able to contact Cordovin thanks from Saphron's wife letting her know she wishes for a ride to Atlas and she will be alone. This was enough to make the military hag to agreed and let her know to come to the base tomorrow morning. It was all set and done, their plan will be set in motion the next day. Afterwards, they had dinner and went to sleep since they needed to get some rest for tomorrow.

Laphicet and Velvet were awaken by Oscar, a few hours later. The siblings followed him out of the house. Whatever the reason, it must be important for waking them this late at night. The older Crowe already had an idea. It has to be about Ozpin. He might not have shown up since Jinn showed them the vision of the past. But he was still in the farm boy's mind, listening. She was wondering what was his opinion on everything since arriving at Burnswick Farms until now. Once they were outside, Oscar stood silent feeling the cold winds. It wasn't as bad as being outside of the city where it was ten times worse.

"Ozpin wants to speak to the two of you."

"I figured" replied the young woman.

"Is he all right?" followed Laphicet.

"He's fine, last I checked."

The farm youth closed his eyes as he was suddenly taken over. His eyes glowed green for a moment. The person staring at them was no longer the youth.

("I know it must be awkward to be hearing from me, at this point.")

"I'm fine with it. You needed some time off and I'm sure to think things through."

("Yes, that is one way of putting it. It's not that I wanted to evade any of you. I needed to be alone. I've been rather worried since the events that transpired in Haven.")

"We're here to listen if you have something on your mind" said the young Crowe.

("Thank you, I appreciate it. You must know by now, Leonardo wasn't the first person to betrayed me. In my many life times I have come to put my trust and faith in people who deemed trustworthy in my eyes. A shame, it never lasted. Either those people ended up betraying me or, they ended getting killed by Salem.")

"I knew it. You wouldn't keep so many secrets on purpose. You've been betrayed too many times and you have lost many people too. To the point that you chose to keep those secrets to yourself."

("It was never my intention to do so. But what other choice did I had? Telling them would put them in great danger. I have high hopes for Miss Rose and everyone. Specially you two. I'm scare to see more people die because of my actions. If I keep it a secret it's bad, if I tell them it's the same. It's not about who to trust or who to distrust, it's about how many of those people will lose their lives because of me.")

"Ozpin, have you lost faith in humanity?" asked the older Crowe.

("At one time, I came so close. But ever since meeting Team RWBY, Team JNPR and you two. I started believing again that there's still hope. Even Mr. Winchester who lost so much has shown to be someone to be reliable. It never ceases to amaze me how strong humanity can be. I haven't given up. But I would like to do something different from now on. For starters I want to give Oscar more freedom, I want him to resume his training and think for himself instead of letting me do it for him. He has to grow strong on his own and more independent. Like removing the training wheels of a bike. Let him run the bike without them. He's still young but with a lot of potential. In time, I can see him becoming a very strong Huntsman.")

"I'm glad you're still you. That you're not losing the fight no matter how much you went through" said Laphicet.

("It's thanks to all of you for still believing in me even when I don't deserve it.")

"Changing topic, what do you think of Jaune's idea?"

("It is as you said, there isn't much of a choice. Cordovin has no intention of lending us an air ship. Leading us with the only option to steal one. I admit, Mr. Arc's plan is very risky. But it will have to do under the circumstances.")

"There's something else bothering you?" said Velvet.

("Yes, as a matter of fact. Even if we succeed in gaining an air ship. It is still uncertain the current situation in Atlas. It must have gotten worse since the Fall of Beacon, and now Haven.")

"Are you planning to talk to Ironwood when we get there?"

("Depends on the situation. As long as I have known James, he's the kind of person who would do anything to assure safety to the people first above all. Either way, he's still one man with so much to carry on his shoulders.")

"You're worried he might betray you too?"

("No. I doubt it. James has always shown strong conviction in doing what's right. He's very different from Leonardo. He stays true to his mission until the end. I suppose time will tell when we get there.")

"Should we...Tell him the truth about Salem?" asked Laphicet.

("That remains to be seen. For the time being, I would like to keep it a secret. Until we see James condition and what has become of Atlas and Mantle. With everything that has happened, his mind must not be in the right state. But first, we must get to Atlas.")

"Thank you for letting us know, how you feel. We won't fail."

("I know.") the former headmaster smiled as he returned to give Oscar control of his body.

"So, giving me more freedom?"

"It means you will have to train harder now. You will have to fight on your own more than usual" said the younger Crowe.

"Something tells me, that was going to be the case" the farm hand smiled.

Velvet smiled, happy Ozpin didn't mentioned when she transformed to defeat the pack of Yeti and the Sasquatch. Otherwise, her brother wouldn't be happy.

Blake's eyes slowly opened hearing something vibrating. It was her scroll. She forgot she has set the device to vibrate in order not to make too much noise. Good thing she thought about it, so she won't be able to wake up anyone. Taking the device, she was unfamiliar with the number, so she got up from the bed on the floor getting some distance from the others. She opened the device to listening to the voice on the other end.

*Blake…?*

"Sienna Khan?" she whispered surprised to hear from her.

*Listen there's no time- You have to-*

"What? You're breaking up, I can't hear you."

*You're in danger-He's there….*

"Who's there?" she realized the call was lost.

The raven haired faunus stood in thought when the call ended. Then, she got a text from the tigress and former High Leader of the White Fang.

*Adam is in Argus.*

Amber eyes widened in shock as she stood in frozen in place. Shortly, her eyes narrowed in anger. She knew this was going to happen. That he will come after her. Not to mention she wasn't seeing things after all. Back at the train when she released the caboose she saw him. Yang must have seen him too back at the farm. He's been following her and her friends all this time. A true evil stalker. Obviously he was waiting for the right time when she was alone, so he can make his move. Normally she will be afraid but she wasn't. If Adam wanted to finish what he started at Haven then, let him come. This time, she was going to be ready for him. Time to face her past and put it behind her for good. Though she didn't wanted to include Yang in this since she was still suffering from her PTSD. Guess tomorrow was going to be a busier day than she thought. This was something she needed to do on her own.

The next day, everyone woke up early as they ate a tasty breakfast courtesy of Saphron and Terra Cotta. They were ready to carry out the plan. However, Velvet stopped before leaving the house. She has told them about Pyrrha's monument at the park and that Argus is her home town. Everyone needed to know and she wanted them to visit the statue before going with the plan. Not to mention this might be their last day in the city. They have all bought roses as they arrived at the park walking towards the statue. Ren and Nora were the first to be shocked along with Team RWBY. Jaune told them that Argus is Pyrrha's home town and she was loved by the people of this city. They shed their tears, then they gave a moment of silence. After, one by one put a rose on the pedestal. The Valkyrie was in tears while her partner was trying to comfort her. Ruby and the others were in tears too. Looking at the statue was enough to bring them memories of their red head friend.

"We missed you Pyrrha" Ruby placed her rose.

"I will continue to grow stronger, for you" followed Jaune.

After everyone placed their roses they took another look at the statue before leaving. Velvet was the only one left, her eyes were on the monument.

"I will continue to look after them, for your sake. Keep watching on us" the older Crowe placed the rose before joining the others.

The former teacher gazed at everyone with Weiss holding her luggage as part of the plan.

"Let's go. We have an air ship to steal."

-I think it was lame that only Jaune, Ren and Nora found out of the Pyrrha's statue. RWBY had a right to know too, they were also Pyrrha's friends. I wanted to add the part where they put a rose on her statue. Also how come they never found out Argus is Pyrrha's home until the woman with short red hair told Jaune? Seriously Saphron or they should have heard the people walking mentioning about it. Oh well, I fixed it in my story.

-This story will be taking a two week break just like RT because of Christmas and New Year's. So episode 9 will be release early January I think the 4th. I will return around that time too.

-Yang finally knows the truth Cardin's mom is cooking a little brother in her oven. I'm guessing she will tell Ruby after the whole stealing the air ship thing before heading for Atlas. I can sense somehow, Cardin isn't happy with the revelation.

-I noticed now Robin's weapon is similar to Lionheart's but fire arrows.

*Je'daii1298- yeah you're absolutely right. It's like Salem can't be killed we're doom there's nothing we can do. Why? She doesn't have to die, she can still be stop. I think the silver eyes are a solution explaining why she has killed so many of their kind. Either she will be frozen in stone or her Grimm appearance will be gone returning to her human form. However she can still cast magic and she's immortal. I've been thinking of something similar like Velvet sealing her the same way she sealed Innominat. Or maybe Ozpin being the one to make that sacrifice in sealing her. At this rate I doubt she will ever learn the lesson that the Gods assigned to her immortality. Either Velvet seals her or Ozpin does. However, he has grown too weak and he doesn't stand a chance against her the way he currently is. Still I will keep many doors open for possibilities until we see more of the show. That is if RT will last another year with the pacing they've been going. More people are leaving the company each day. Neo is everyone's favorite asides that she can't talk there's something about her that screams" awesome waifu" maybe it's the Neopolitan ice cream look lol. But anyway RT made her come back because the fans wanted her back, they wanted Penny back and they obeyed, they wanted Bumblebee and well you know the rest.

*TPoynt- I don't see Ruby and Penny getting together because she's a freaking robot. The shippers have to get over it and get with the program seriously. I think Rose Garden and Lancaster has better chances of becoming canon. I don't know if Ozpin will ever leave Oscar's head. His soul will eventually merge with his and he will be gone. That's why I don't see Rose Garden happening too. Sorry I know you like the ship but there's more development between Ruby and Jaune and it makes perfect sense considering they were the first people to talk to each other when they arrived at Beacon.

SPOILERS for volume 7 episode 8- there was no cliffhanger but we finally meet Weiss's mother Willow and she's voiced by Caitlin Glass mostly know for voicing Winry from Full Metal Alchemist, Rose from Tales of Zestiria among many other anime and games. Weiss knows Jacquess is involved and it's to be expected with Willow keeping tabs on her own husband. Winter snapping during the dinner very unlikely of her showing her emotions more. Clearly Jacquess and the council members present want to remove Ironwood for his questionable activities and Robin wants answers. The only reason it can solve is if Ironwood tells them about Salem, the maidens, the relics so they can start working together against a common foe. Too bad Jacquess doesn't know Watts is working for her. But Weiss has seen his meeting with Watts thanks to her mom, which Pietro will immediately recognize him. The end of the episode Watts shut down some machines and shortly it started falling snow. I think they control the heat temperature for the city. Great now the people of Mantle are going to freeze to death. All in all I'm not hype for the next episode. Like I said it didn't had a cliffhanger but at least it was a descent episode 7/10.
