Hey everybird! What's up!?
Sorry for the delay, I have actually been playing a lot of World of Warships lately, because the holiday event is well… Lets just say extremely grinding…
But thankfully I had my Christmas story all ready to go during your wait, so hopefully you enjoyed that while waiting for this!
Anyway, moving on to today's question…
What is your most favorite Christmas movie?
Me: I think it's pretty obvious by now what movie is my favorite… It's The Polar Express, the best Christmas movie ever!
And moving on to your questions…
From Nightfly123, he asks, "Is Bia and the others going to be involved this story?"
Me: Well obviously not…
And lastly, thank you to CalvinFujii for the fav and follow!
Little Adventurer Part 2
After Emily showed Jewel her big find, the two friends went back to where Blu, Tara, and Emma were and there both Emily and Tara suggested they all go enjoy a nice late dinner at a restaurant, their treat to their guests, but Tara wanted to check up on something before going.
"You all go ahead, I need to check up on some final things before leaving." Tara notified everyone else.
"I'll stay with you mommy, give you some company." Emma offered as she stayed by her mother's side.
"Thanks sweetie, maybe you could even help me." Tara smiled.
"Don't take too long, I get worried when you work late." Emily saying as she gave a kiss to her wife.
"I'll try not to." Tara smiled as, with her daughter, she went back to her office while Emily, with Blu and Jewel, exited the museum, catching a taxi for a nearby restaurant, and while there Emily struck up a conversation.
"So, Jewel, finally decided to get married, never picked you to be the married type, always thought you were a lone wolf." Emily said as she turned to her friend, Blu sitting next to Jewel.
"Yeah, I did too, but I'm lucky to get to know Blu and have someone who is okay with my life choices." Jewel turning to look at her husband. "And I don't regret the decision."
"Thanks Jewel, I'm fortunate to have someone like you too." Blu smiled, giving a kiss to Jewel's cheek.
"Have you two thought about having a child?" Emily said in a slightly teasing tone, to which both Blu and Jewel blushed.
"Well, it's still a little too early for us Emily…" Jewel replied.
"And with how busy we both are, with me being a pilot and Jewel being an author and adventurer, I doubt we can give enough attention to him or her." Blu added.
"So? Tara and I both have very busy lives and we have Emma as well, we still make time for her no matter what and I'm sure you two can do the same as parents." Emily pointing out.
"She does have a point…" Jewel somewhat agreeing.
"Yeah…" Blu said as he began thinking about what the future may hold for him and Jewel, after all they were not going to do their jobs forever…
Meanwhile, back in the museum, Tara, with Emma, was in her office, Emma was waiting very patiently as Tara finished up, coming to the last things. And when she did she laid back in her chair and gave a long sigh before turning to Emma.
"Okay sweetie, I think that's it for tonight, ready to go eat some nice food?" Tara asked her daughter.
"Yes mommy, all ready." Emma said. "I hope mommy and Auntie Jewel made it to that Indian restaurant and already ordered for us."
"I hope so too sweetie." Tara smiled as she got up from her chair and took her daughter's wing with her's as they left the office and started walking through the museum for the front entrance.
Walking through the halls, Tara thought she heard someone else as she stopped, turning her head left and right, trying to see who could possibly be here other than her and her daughter.
"Sweetie, did you hear someone?" Tara asked Emma.
"No mommy, maybe you're just tired?" Emma suggested.
"Probably sweetie, I'll feel much better when we join your mommy and Jewel." Tara said, but had this odd feeling in her stomach and it wasn't of hunger…
Continuing to walk towards the museum's front entrance, Tara heard the sounds again, much clearer and louder as Emma also now could hear it.
"Mommy… Who is that?" Emma asked.
"Maybe it's just the museum security sweetie, no need to worry…" Tara getting scared as she started to reach for her cell phone.
And then it happened… A bunch of different animals came out of nowhere from the dark areas around the two and with lightning speed, one of them knocked out Tara as Tara fell froward, face on the ground, motionless as a couple more grabbed onto Emma, the little pigeon trying to resist, but it was useless.
"Mommy, mommy!" Emma shouted as Tara was helpless, knocked out and unable to respond in any way to her daughter getting kidnapped…
Back with Emily, Blu, and Jewel, they were waiting for Tara and Emma to show up , the three have ordered the food and now it was sitting on their table, uneaten and getting cold, they didn't want to eat until everyone was present. However they were starting to get worried, especially Emily, after all it was her family.
"Maybe I should go back and get them?" Emily suggested.
"Now Emily, I'm sure Tara and Emma will be here very soon, they're probably stuck in traffic." Jewel trying her best to reassure her friend.
"You're right, it's just Tara…" Emily started, but then her phone started ringing, the owl picking it up as she saw who was calling. "Oh, speaking of her…" Emily answering the call as she began speaking. "Hey honey, what's… Wait what… Slow down… Okay, we're coming back right now." Emily having a very scared look on her face as she went pale.
"Emily, what's happening?" Jewel asked, very concerned indeed.
"Emma just got kidnapped." Emily answered as she stood up, and barely waited for Blu and Jewel to catch up as she ran outside, hailing a taxi as she got in, followed by Blu and Jewel as they rushed as fast as they could back to the museum.
As they arrived, they could see the police have already arrived, several cars outside as with identification, Emily, with Blu and Jewel, got inside, Emily rushing ahead as she looked to find Tara, eventually finding her, talking to an officer as other officers were searching the area around for clues.
"Tara!" Emily said loudly as she got the attention of her wife, running up to her as the officer who was talking to the duck left. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
"No, I'm fine, really, just got knocked out." Tara replied. "But they got Emma… I should have protected her… Fought whoever they were…" Tara began tearing up, feeling hopeless.
"Hey, hey, it's okay." Emily comforting her wife. "There was nothing you could have done, but we're going to get Emma back, okay?"
"That's right Tara, we'll get Emma back, don't worry." Jewel giving her tone of confidence.
"But first, lets get you back to your office so you can sit down properly." Emily suggested as she helped up her wife, who had shaky legs.
As the four got back to Tara's office, Tara noticed something was out of place as there was an envelope on the open space where she worked.
"That wasn't there when we left…" Tara noticed as Jewel came up froward and opened up the envelope, in which there was a small written note, which Jewel read out loud…
"Daring Jewel, if you want to get this kid safely back to her parents, you will come alone to the Trinity Church in the city and help us recover the treasure underneath, the treasure your grandfather refused to take himself… If you do not come within 12 hours, or don't come alone, well I don't need to say what happens to the kid…"
"I have to go alone…" Jewel said.
"No Jewel, it's too dangerous, we have to figure out another way." Blu refusing to let his wife go alone in such a dangerous situation.
"I agree with your husband Jewel, Emma is my daughter, there is no way that I'm just going to be siting here, doing nothing to get her back." Emily agreeing wit Blu.
"You heard what the note said, if I don't go and go alone…" Jewel not needing to finish that particular sentence. "Don't worry, I'll go, see what they want and bring back Emma here safely."
"I agree with Jewel, this is the best way to get Emma back to us honey, I trust Jewel and if she says she can bring her back, I believe her." Tara lending her opinion.
"Well okay, if Tara says so, I guess I have no choice…" Emily said.
"Great, than I'll leave right now." Jewel said as she was about to leave, but Blu stopped her.
"Wait Jewel, before you go…" Blu letting out a breath. "Please be safe and make sure you come back."
"I will Blu, I always do." Jewel smiled before getting her husband a goodbye kiss before leaving, out of the museum to the Trinity Church in the city, while making her way there, she thought a lot about her grandpa as the note mentioned him…
How exactly whoever kidnapped Emma knew her grandpa and of the treasure underneath the church, was her grandpa ever connected to bad ties, or was it simply a nemesis continuing on an old rivalry, with her grandpa gone, now having to turn his or her attention at Jewel? Jewel thought about all that and of course didn't want to believe her grandpa was ever a bad person, she always thought of him as an honorable and kind man, not to do things for selfish reasons and always helped out others.
"I really hope you never did a bad thing in your life grandpa…" Jewel thought as her mind went back to when she was a little girl, living at her original house with her parents and grandpa…
Many years ago…
"Grandpa, grandpa!" Little Jewel said loudly as she hopped down the steps from the school bus to the waiting, spread out wings of her grandfather Henry, going right into them as Henry wrapped his wings around her, hugging her tight.
"Had a good day at school my little Jewel?" Henry asked.
"Yes grandpa, do you have a new adventure ready for me?" Little Jewel asked, excited as Henry gave out a laugh.
"Indeed I do, here is the first clue." Henry pulling out a little piece of paper and giving it to Jewel.
From time to time, when both of Jewel's parents were out of the house, Henry would set up these little adventures for Jewel within the house, giving Jewel clues to finding something specific inside. The two had a lot of fun doing it and Jewel got better and better each time, which of course made Henry proud and happy, seeing Jewel's keen mind grow each time they played this little game.
"For this first clue, this item was invented long ago during the Yuan Dynasty in China, first made using bronze." The clue read as Jewel knew what it was, running past her grandpa to the kitchen…
Back to the Present…
"Oh grandpa… How I missed those little games…" Jewel closed her eyes as she shed a tear.
"Miss, we're here, the Trinity Church." The taxi driver spoke to Jewel as Jewel snapped out from her memories, looking to the side to see the old church in the city, where Emma and her kidnappers were…
And I'll end it off on there!
Never expected this, did you now!? Well next time we'll see exactly who kidnapped Emma and what they want from Jewel!
And with that…
See everybird later!
