Hey everybird! What's up!?

So after some delay, what with some sickness and the holidays, I am back to this! I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long!

Also, if you haven't read the teaser I posted earlier for a new upcoming story I'm looking froward to doing next year, than please go do so!

Now moving on to today's question…

Which part of Jewel's character do you like most in this series?

Me: I actually love the relationship I created with Jewel and her grandfather, especially when I first introduced him when we went into the past of Jewel's grandfather on one of his adventures.

And on to your questions…

From Nightfly123, he asks, "What was your reaction when you watched Star Wars for the first time?"

Me: Well I can't say what my exact reaction was, but I remember being very interested and baffled by what it is and of course wanted to know more about it.

From Stormknight089, he asks, "What would happen if Alex the scarlet Macaw, and Angel the scarlet macaw ( A.K.A T8ECR34T0R's OC character from "Rio: a new story ) met?"

Me: Well, to be honest I'm not so sure… Maybe they'll connect with each other, maybe friends or even something more.

Little Adventurer Part 3

After paying the taxi driver for the ride Jewel got out and entered the church, which was mostly empty and quiet, mostly because Jewel could very much feel she was being watched as a couple of hawks came out and showed themselves, smiling, but not in a good way…

"Good, you came…" One of them spoke.

"The boss was starting to think you wouldn't show." The other added.

"Where is Emma?" Was all Jewel could ask as she kept her cool.

"This way." The first hawk replied as the hawks turned around and started to head to the main part of the church, where all the pews were.

Just like the majority of the church, this area was mostly empty, save for several other hawks and a small female pigeon, who was unharmed thankfully, relieving Jewel of any worry about her as Jewel walked faster and as she got closer, the little pigeon ran up to her.

"Auntie Jewel, I never thought I would see you again." Emma said with some fright in her voice as she hugged onto the adult blue macaw.

"Same here Emma." Jewel wrapped her wings around the pigeon before coming down to her level. "Are you okay? They didn't hurt you did they?"

"No, I'm fine." Emma answered as Jewel checked the girl for any injuries.

"Okay good." Jewel let out a breath as she rose up, keeping Emma besides her, the little pigeon holding onto Jewel as Jewel spoke. "Okay, I'm here now, who's in charge?"

"That would be me…" A voice spoke from behind the hawks that had Emma, coming from behind as a slightly taller hawk with a scar going down his left side, stepped up and came in front of Jewel, scaring Emma as she hid behind Jewel. "I have to say, I expected someone much more bigger than you…" The hawk smiled.

"Who are you and what do you want?" Jewel demanded, keeping her cool, while making sure Emma was protected.

"My apologies… My name's Hondo, the grandson of one of your grandfather's nemesis…" The hawk stating.

And then it hit Jewel… She remembered the video will her grandfather left for her, one of the stories her grandfather told her was about the time he faced a hawk who sought the treasure that was underneath this church, luckily her grandfather managed to stop him, but the hawk did come close and managed to find some clues as to where the treasure was, which Jewel's grandfather also found and left in the will.

"I take it you want my help in finding the treasure underneath this church." Jewel asked.

"Right to the point I see…" Hondo chuckled. "Yes, you're going to help me find it, finally making a name in my family and avenge my grandfather who failed thanks to your's."

Jewel really had no choice in the matter, she was surrounded and she had to protect Emma at the same time, she wasn't going to risk hurting the little girl.

"I will help you, but you have to let Emma go." Jewel requested.

"No…" Hondo denied the request. "She'll stay with us while we search for the treasure, for insurance purposes… Unless you don't want her mothers to see her again…" Hondo spoke while the two hawks that were behind Jewel took out their handguns as Jewel heard the safeties going off, which scared Emma as she clung tighter to Jewel.

"Fine, but she stays with me." Jewel not giving in to this request as Hondo simply nodded his head and the two hawks behind him put away their guns.

"Alright than, lets move it, no time to waste." Hondo spoke a little louder as the two hawks behind Jewel and Emma pushed them towards the back of the church, where the starting point in the search would be.

"Auntie Jewel, I don't want to go down there…" Emma said as she looked up to Jewel.

"I know Emma…" Jewel replied. "But we have no choice, don't worry, I'll keep you safe okay? But I also need you to be my brave little adventurer, can you do that for me?"

"I'll try auntie…" Emma replying as bravely as she could.

"We'll make it out of here and you'll see your mothers when we're done, I promise." Jewel smiled as the two were led to the back of the church…

To the Past…

Little Jewel ran to the kitchen, entering it as she laid her eyes on the cabinets, which were of course high up and out of reach of her wings. Most little girls would have probably gave up, seeing how high up the reach was, but not Jewel. Bringing over a chair, she climbed up on that before getting up on the counter top and now able to reach the cabinet, she opened it to find many pieces of kitchen equipment in there, pots, pans, plates… Teapots…

There were a few teapots, but Jewel knew only one contained the next clue to the final treasure her grandfather hid in the house for her to find… Looking back down to the first clue her grandfather gave her, Jewel knew right away which one it was, a very decorated teapot with Asian art styling on it. Smiling Jewel carefully took the fragile pottery and opened the top, the inside being empty except for a little slip of paper which contained the next clue…

"This next clue is quite different, the material made from it isn't clay, but rather from wood and contains spiritual knowledge rather than scientific facts…" The clue read and after thinking about it for a couple minutes, Jewel figured it out and went to her parent's bedroom, where she knew the next clue was waiting for her…

Back to the Present…

"Here we are…" Hondo spoke, which snapped Jewel out of her trance, refocusing her attention to the present as they all were in the boiler room of the church in the basement, which wouldn't look significant to normal eyes, but to adventurers and well thieves like Hondo, it would.

"Now my grandfather figured out that the entrance is somewhere on this wall, through one of these names…" Hondo said as he was standing in front of a bunch of names on a wall, one of which contained an entrance down below. "But this was as far as he got and your grandfather stopped him… Tell me… Which name is it?" Hondo getting right in front of Jewel.

Part of Jewel didn't want to, but again what choice did she have… Walking past Hondo, Emma with her, Jewel looked at all the names on the wall, she didn't recognize most of them, except for one… Adam Gates… Jewel remembered her grandfather telling her in a story he once told her when she was little about Adam, one of the freemasons who had the treasure buried underneath the city to hide it from the British. However he was hanged as a spy and was hung, his body was reported to have been thrown into the Hudson by the British after, so what was his name doing here…

Jewel was sure that the entrance was behind Adam's name, but to be sure, she knocked on all of the names, listening in to the change in the sound and well Adam's was different as it sounded more hollow than solid. Turning back to Hondo and his gang and checking on Emma, she made another request.

"I think I found it, give me that shovel." Jewel looking at a shovel that rested against the wall, the hawks giving Hondo a look, silently asking if they should listen to her.

"Give it to her, but be ready for any tricks." Hondo told his minions as one of them picked up the shovel and gave it to Jewel while a few others took out their guns.

Jewel raised the shovel, which of course alarmed the minions as they raised their guns in response, but calmed down as Jewel slammed the shovel's blade against the wall where Adam's name was engraved. The shovel went straight through, breaking down the thin barrier which contained the secret passage way down, light entering the tight tunnel as Jewel looked through, Hondo coming up and also looking inside.

"Alright, I guess your reputation is well deserved…" Hondo commented on how fast Jewel figured out the secret way down. "Okay, here's what's going to happen… The girl goes first, to make sure we wouldn't get stuck in there and it's safe."

Jewel didn't want to admit it, but Hondo was right about this, plus Jewel would feel a lot better if Emma wasn't alone with all these hawks while she was in there.

"No, I don't want to go…" Emma spoke, afraid as Jewel came to her before any of the hawks could.

"I'm sorry Emma, but you have to, I'll feel better when you're not around these bad birds alone." Jewel speaking to the little pigeon as she took off her adventurer's hat. "I know you're afraid, but you can do it." Jewel putting her hat on Emma's head, which of course was a little big for her.

"Okay auntie…" Emma sighing as she tried to put on a brave face as Jewel led her to the secret entrance, lifting her up and safely putting the little girl inside.

"If you get scared, just look back at me, I'm right here and will be right behind you." Jewel told Emma as Emma took a deep breath and crawled her way through the tight secret passage way.

As Emma was through, it was a couple of minutes as Jewel kept watch over the little girl, who made it, having reached the end safely.

"Okay, I reached the end and I'm okay." Emma called through the passage way.

"You're next." Hondo told Jewel as the hawks, with their guns still out, stepped froward as Jewel had to go, stepping up as she got inside and started crawling through, of course since she was bigger than Emma, it seemed tighter for her, but she managed to push through as Hondo was next, but first turned to a couple of his minions. "You two stay here and make sure those two don't come back out without me, if they do, you know what to do…"

"Got it boss." The two of them replied as Jewel let out a breath, knowing this adventure wasn't going to be so easy…

And I'll leave it off on there…

I hope you did enjoy this part after awhile of waiting and hopefully the next part wouldn't take too long to do!

And with that…

See everybird later!
